Description
Oogly Boogly
This gnome represents all caches that were muggled, washed away, archived, broken or simply left to rot forgotten and forlorn.
Rest in Peace, forgotten caches.
Released for the 2010 Cache race - the GeGnome project, this little chap started his travels at the Temple Ridge Reserve between Hurstbridge and Wattle Glen, Victoria.
Congratulations to Stagetree for the First to Find!
If you leave this gnome in the bright lights, you might find he shows his unearthly glow at night.
No swag, no pen. Sorry :/ If the tape wears out, I thank you for replacing it (my expanding foam didn't and I ran out of time to redo)

I'm going to go ahead and close this one down as it's been out in the wilderness so long.
I'd have done it earlier but I kind of forgot about it. Apologies.

The posted coordinates appeared to be taking me deep into private property, so I abandoned my attempt to find this gnome. Will PM the previous mover to confirm the location.
Found him at the Belconnen Gnome Exchange Centre. He was going to come for a holiday to the Gold Coast but I have had to disappoint him becasue this fellow is a little bit too large for the luggage. Will find him another place to hide here in the ACT.

Found at the Tigersden event in Coota on a wet drive from Canberra, but don't fear we where sheltered from the rain.
thanks

Saw this, but maybe i was mistaken, when i turned and looked a second time he was gone, maybe a true ghost
Another gnome who gate-crashed our event at Coota, but maybe he was just sheltering from the rain! Happy travels...
Took him to the Event at Cootamundra, but he is not there now!!!
I swung by on my way home from work today to rescue this one from tonights anticipated storm!

Placed while retrieving another gnome in Red Hill, ACT. Thanks again.
1st of 4 today. There was a strike at our school from 8:30 to 11:30am, so we thought we might find a gnome or two. Got to the park and there were muggles there! Easy enough though and we found it quickly. Very cool gnome. Took a pathtag in exchange for another pathtag. TFTC.

Been here way too long, oh well time to come back into town.

Moved off to the farm - no need to jump the gate, gnome is reclining under the biggest pine tree at the farm entrance.
A quick dash at lunchtime found this wee fella still sitting under his tree. Time to move along, maybe pop over the State line? Hmm.... Cool gnome thanks.

Dropped off to Tankengine. Don't bother looking for this one.
Candy Cane 101 and I went for a walk this afternoon, placing gnomes in this area, according to some very specific instructions by Black Bunny. We haven't been told why, but we suspect a pattern is emerging. We also suspect that we were told to do it in a certain way, just to make us cross the creek the maximum number of times en route. We had fun anyway, and saw a lot of kangaroos and a few brown bunnies.
Went for a drive with black bunny and Just a cacher to a event., when the event was over, there were 50 gnomes and pathtag swapping
Thanks for the gnome

Grabbed this fellow to bring back to Canberra after the GLF & GFF event at Mt Victoria. One of 50 gnomes at the GLF & GFF event.
A chance to catch up with some Sydney cachers that we have only parried with on the forums, enjoy some good company and swap some tags.

Found at the gnome event at Mount Victoria.
It was a great day! The gnomes enjoyed it, and so did the non-gnomes.
Good food, good company, good pathtags, and magnificent weather and views!

Went for a drive today to catch up with a few gnomes that I heard were gathering at an event in the Blue Mt's. Something about the GLF and GFF calling a truce.
Meet a few gnoming aficiandos and even eat my way through a couple of gnome cup cakes (Thanks to Just a Cacher for those) while signing (almost) all the logs.
A great way, and a great spot, to spend an hour or 2.
Thanks to all who attended, great to meet you, along with the gnomes.

'Ghost of Caches past' is ready to party with his mates, some new and some he has already met in his travels. With the GLF and the GFF comparing notes let's hope for a lasting peace.
Don't go looking for him before Saturday the 2nd of July, he won't come out and play until then!

'Ghost of Caches Past' is on his way to some fun and games in Mt Victoria for the weekend. His transport has been well organized and he will soon be at the meeting point.

Ghost has moved to Mt. Victoria. He's almost at the spot where the GFF mission will begin on Saturday . . .
Ghost needs to move east. I can't tell you why right now. But all will be revealed on Saturday!

'The Ghost of Caches Past' has reached Clwydd and is now comfortably out of the cold weather at the GFF Holiday Resort. He will no doubt be out and about again very soon. But before that he said that he would invite a few a his mates to join him here.
This being a top secret location, don't go looking for him, you will not find him.

'The Ghost of Caches Past' is on the move again, he has heard of this wonderful holiday resort specially for Gnomes and wants to have a bit of rest and do whatever it is that Gnomes do for fun!

It was great to meet up with Ghost again on the Mitchell Fire Trail, not far from where I work in Dural.
Now is the time for Ghost's reassignment by the GFF. He's faithfully watched this lovely but obscure spot for long enough.
Will he end up in Clwydd?
We'll just have to see . . .

After a successful time spent talking and listening, Ghost wanted to make his own way onwards. I dropped him off near a car. Not sure he'll get it started though. A bit rusty
He was monitoring something, so after a quick run and chase, I gnabbed him and bundled him in the car, for further talks.

This park might not look that strategic to require guarding by a gnome, but rest assured there are drop bears here. He has been stationed behind a tree near one of the access tracks to monitor suspicious activity.
Grabbed this fellow from a well visited gnome hideout tree this morning. Will try and rehome him over the weekend.
Posted a moved log to the same spot so that it is obvious that I do not have The Ghost of Caches Past and he is still hiding in the same ghostly spot!
A quick walk around Lidcome this morning while visiting Sydney for work. This area is amazing and I only got to see the very start of it, I would love to come back when I have the time to have a good look around and complete the multi's here .. no time this morning.
The Ghost took a little while for me to find as I was looking under not up, eventually I worked it out and I saw a ghostly face looking at me. I decided to leave him in his nice hiding spot as he is a little big for my suitcase and I could not think of a more suitable place for him to be in this area! Thanks for a great find!

Moved into a ghostly area. Until we meet again.
I opened my front door this morning and did a double take. WT..... 10 gnomes peered back at me and the ghost was one of them. I have now learned he is part of a mass breakout and has joined ranks with the Beta team. He's the biggest member of the beta unit, so he's the boss!!!. If not startling me enough this morning, I come home tonight and he scares the bejesus out of me, sitting all deathly like in the corner of the kitchen, emitting a radiant glow.

The second Gnome Team (The B Team) has reached its dispersal point. All members have their new duties assigned and will rely on help from local human at Dispersal Point Beta to reach satisfactory destinations.
Of course all Gnomes will report back to Clwydd Headquarters from time to time to advise of their findings.

'The Ghost of Caches Past' has reached his assigned assembly point, where he will be joined by his team mates. He has joined his transportation and is only waiting for all to be present. They will all be on the move in a few days. He is anxious to start his new adventures.

Wentworth Falls was the required stop for The Ghost. He seemed full of confidence as he stood on the platform, waiting for his train.
Good luck, Ghost!
Good luck, Ghost!
I never knew The Ghost as well as I knew the other gnomes.
But he certainly seems like a study and stalwart fellow now.
He told me he'd been fully briefed on his next GFF mission and was ready to travel!

'The Ghost of Caches Past' has decided to join the GFF and his comrades in arms against the GLF (Turn head and spit!). He is now on his way to the Clwydd headquarters for a debrief before being inducted as a full member.
He will be relocated very soon.

You will this Ghostey Gnome behind a log which is near a telegraph pole along Quarry Rd
This guy was enjoying a bit of a sunbake in a lovely bit of Canberra bushland. When we came by, he seemed pretty chatty and was keen to come for a trip north with us so he's off.
This ghosty gnome was getting lonely in Canberra so we rescued him. We'll take him to somewhere where he can meet lots of friends and have a bit of fun
GCA 72 - 3543 - A nice drive in the rain for a few finds..
A quick find in what is becoming a familiar area ! Didnt take long from the last find, then I made it back to the car before the rain came again ! Thanks !

I found this with a bit of local help as I did not know what type of bush we were dealing eth. Thanks. Albida.
Found on a night time gnome hunt with Black Bunny and Candy Cane 101.
We walked behind the Bunny all the way, stepping where he stepped, as he had the torch. Once we got there, we looked around, and were just contemplating going to the other side when he was spotted, pinned in the glare of Black Bunny's torch. We grabbed him quickly, before he could recover, and rushed him back to the car.
Great fun! Great glow! Thank you!

A night run to grab this cute gnome with just a Cacher and Black Bunny. Just a Cacher spotted this one when Black Bunny shone the torch at it. I love this gnome, it is cute. TFTG Frogglin

A midnight (well not quite) run to grab this fellow with just a Cacher and Candy Cane 101 when this fellow popped up in the region. We arrived at GZ and shone the light about to try and spot the little fellow when Just a Cacher spotted an eerie glow in an area I had just started to search.

Bit of a shame when a cache is located behind a locked gate outside of 9.00am - 5.00pm and not noted in the last log...

Took him out on a caching trip and dropped him off very close to water. He is sitting between 2 trees behind an open stump with a friend.
For a quick move prior to Christmas we have decided to re-use a previous location.
Thanks to KoTs' previous hide, The Ghost of Caches Past is in residence with the Batgnome at the Riddells Creek Cemetary.
And a Merry Christmas to all....

Did you know the gates get locked at 4.30 at the Organ Pipes National Park! I do now.
I parked outside and went for a walk.
Found some Grumpy old bastard keeping watch over the gate so I threw him in the car before setting off down the road. Locating the Ghost Gnome I continued on and got CamoGnome at the bottom of the hill before returning "UP!" the hill to retrive Ghost Gnome and return to the car. The three Gnomes sat in the front seat on their trip back to Riddells Creek. All was well till Grumpy let one go and we had to wind down all the windows to get rid of the smell. An argument ensued and I had to seperate the boys before someone got damaged. They obviously don't seem to get along very well together so I will place them seperatly somewhere.

This is the second time I've found this eerily glowing little guy.
I thought he might like a short break in a National Park. He agreed.

Picked up early this morning, and the sun just rising over the east.
Placed 'The Ghost' on the cars passenger floor - AARRGGGG, it glows, that is freaking me MAN.
Reach over and through the the old towel from the backseat over him. I dont need that when battling early morning westgate traffic.

Moving from Yarraville to Williamstown today, I managed to stop and pick this gnome up on the way.
A lonely heart he looked to.
Bundling away out west.

Hidden briefly here, but picked up straight away by The Empire!
Out for a driving lesson tonight, so Gowanbrae was our chosen destination, for obvious reasons. A quick walk over the bridge and up the hill and there was the rather large gnome sitting right where the GPSr was telling me to look. I got a strange look from a passing dog walker on the way back to my waiting chauffeur, carrying the gnome under my arm. I'll re-hide it over the weekend. Cheers!
There we go little Gnome. Back into the wild for you. And with a great worms eye view of the overhead train traffic.

With all these Gnomes on the loose I couldn't miss the chance to get out with the two year old daughter and find a few. This was #3 for the day.
There were plenty of butterflies to watch for this Gnome as we approached. I'll have to come back to this spot to explore a bit by myself. I remember weeding some of this reserve with my class in primary school and I'd like to see how it has changed.
I like the thought behind this Gnome.
