Description
Cleanup genome - sweeping its way around Australia
A late entrant in the 2015-16 Gegnome competition. Travel far and wide and sweep the competition.
Etiquette
- Avoid rehiding a GeGnome far from active geocachers territory as it basically exits the gnome from the race
- When rehiding a GeGnome get good co-ordinates. Seriously. Don't dump and run. Get co-ords as you would a permanent GeGnome.
- When making your log against a GeGnome include a good hint so the finder can identify whether it's been moved, muggled or just a bad GPS day.
- This is a challenge of moving GeGnomes along, not trying to make them impossible to find, so help you fellow players out by making the task enjoyable
- Please avoid hiding movable caches near existing Groundspeak or Geocaching Australia geocaches. At Groundspeak geocaches they go missing as rubbish or taken as trades. At Geocaching Australia geocaches the other geocache ends up travelling as well which it's not supposed to. So please find a location away from any existing geocaches (except of course other movable geocaches) to keep the GeGnomes in play for as long as possible.
- Do not leave GeGnomes at the site of the Chrome Gnome along Melbourne’s Peninsula Link freeway. VicRoads frequently attend and destroy gnomes which are left at this location.

Logs
This geocache appears to be MIA so to stop it clogging the search lists we'll archive it. This is done to keep the geocaching Australia clean and up to date.
If the owner can confirm it is in place the listing can be resurrected by placing an "unarchived" log against it.

There's been so much water through here that the hiding place is completely washed clean. No sticks or bark or gnomes left.
I think that CLEANUP GEGNOME has been cleaned up by the waters of the Diamond Creek during a recent flood.
I will go and do a more thorough search in the next few weeks but I don't think that I will locate him.

We are currently touring Victoria with our geovan in tow, using geocaching as a guide. We have visited many amazing locations through geocaching but unfortunately we could not locate Cleanup Geognome - searched as per hint - hoping he has not been swept off his feet by floodwaters.
Tassie Trekkers are now a locationless geocache we have published a 'Geocacher cache' - Travelling Trekkers GA10932 - so if you spot us in your area sign our log book and receive a code word to earn yourself a We were one of the lucky teams to receive a pathtag from Geocaching Australia for publishing a "Geocacher Cache" - thanks Geocaching Australia.

Found neatly tucked away, in between the downpours, while gathering clues for a nearby multi (which can wait for another day).
Left in place, as I have an unfortunate record when it comes to GA moveables.

Walked past this morning. Cleanup Gegnome is still waiting patiently. The Wandering Jew is growing around him.
Looked around at the location. GPS was pretty steady as to where it was supposed to be, but nothing there. We expanded the search but even with two pair of eyes, we couldn't spot it. Time to give this GCA game away for a while I think.
Left at a spot to enjoy a creek view while he waits.
Thanks JustinCBR for the gnome.

Dropped off in a 2 for 1 exchange while collecting some more scavenger points.

I'm finally joining in the summer scavenger game and I need a gnome. I'll try to move him on soon so others can find him.
Thanks for the gnome.
Thanks for the gnome.
Stopped by here for a visit after grabbing a mythological nearby. A nice quick find at 18:55 at a familiar GZ and after signing the log, I replaced him where I found him for those who follow to find.
TNLNSL. Thanks JustinCBR.

Moved to a spot I've used before. In fact, there's another moveable here already!
Travel far little gnome.

Grabbed this little guy from Eltham where he was hiding with a Frog friend. Don't know how he got there but now he's on the move with me.
Moved to a little park with very long grass.
(The hint is incorrect : He is beside a large stump)

Found this guy hiding under a large rock. His friend was flagging down the passing traffic, perhaps looking for a ride into town.
I picked them both up.

After a few escapes from the prisoner exchange group yesterday, a few more have made a break for freedom today, including the Cleanup Gegnome.
All prisoners collected and ready for Transport interstate this coming week!
Note: Caches are not here. They are nearby but will be in transit

I've recollected this in preparation for an interstate Prisoner Exchange Program that will occur in the next week or so. Thanks Just A Cacher & Black Bunny!
Out doing some errands today and thought that we would grab this moveable while we were in the area.
A quick park and grab here.

Missed out on searching for this cache today, went passed the location and couldn't readily u-turn.
Also I didn't know if it was at this location as the log sounded like it was taken with the cacher.

I accidentally found this one while looking for a cache in the Dr Who series. Nicely tucked away - signed log but did not move it on to a new location.
Thanks JustinCBR

Hi JustinCBR. Cleanup Gegnome has found a new place to hang out with friends. He couldn't help but get stuck into a bit of gardening here as it was liking a but messy. He may get some fishing in whilst here too.
Took a little walk out in dark tonight at Leura and stumbled upon this little fella. Now I'm not sure if he was wanting to go home or not, but it looks like he is off on another adventure.
I missed all the action of the race being isolated out west, so I'm getting my share now that they have all fallen into a sort of coma. Thanks phlphotos for your help.

moved out to Windsor for his next set of instructions for his journey. While he is out here he may need to cleanup some of the rubbish. Thanks for the gnome JustinCBR
Already in Rookwood, no doubt tidying up the graves there . . .
Got him. Very tidy little guy. Thanks to rogerw3 for the move.
He'll be in Rookwood shortly . . .
Moved up the mountains for a very short stopover before going back to the Big Smoke. Don't go looking, gone already!
What do you know he is still here, but no longer now on the move up the mountains.

OK, let's try this spot instead. He's hiding with a new one from the country in the usual Kenley Park spot.
Well he has been stuck here for a couple of weeks so grabbed again to try somewhere else.
Moved it over the road from home where things tend to get picked up from. Parking is a bit of an issue during the week due to the proximity to the station, but feel free to park in the driveway opposite behind the Startech Commodore if required as it's mine!
A late entry so not sure how long he has been sitting around doing nothing, but it's time to get going and start racing! Came down and grabbed this one today to move up north a bit. Thanks JustinCBR.
