The walk to this cache starts at the carpark just off the unsealed Mount Franklin Road. Just a 90 minute drive out of Canberra, Mt Franklin is reached by driving west from Canberra towards the Cotter then taking the Brindabella Road towards Uriarra, then turning left at Piccadilly Circus on the top of the range on to the Mt Franklin Road. From just before here, the road is gravel, but generally safe for 2WD cars. There is snow up here in the winter and the road is more suitable for a 4WD in the wet as the road does get pretty churned up and gets very muddy.

Please keep in mind that you are in a National Park and follow the geocaching creed and minimize your impact on the environment.

Today was a trip to Mount Franklin road the attend an event in the afternoon. While another group walked up Mt Gingera, I visited as many caches along the ridge as I could. I was keen to do the Earthcache here so I wandered up through the scrub and found the stones and the survey mark.

Thanks for the cache Kittykatch

Was out here again to do the Earth cache, and now this one as well! Was here with the party a while back, and even though I had a picture of the marker, it was the wrong picture. So have the correct picture now, and a *FTF* by the looks of it Very Happy. So this is now a very worthwhile place to visit! Not only can you say you have been to the west-most part of the ACT, but you get to bag 3 caches!

Thanks Kittykatch.
