Tftc. Clever cache. GPS a bit off because of tree cover but widen search and spotted it.
My plan for today was to find a few solved puzzles and oldies in the Bunya area as its been a long time since my last visit - May 2022. I ended up finding 12 caches. This was one of my target caches and I enjoyed the short walk by the creek - quiet at first then quite a few muggles at times. It took about 10 minutes to find as my coordinates had me on the other side of the creek but I eventually found it at about 9m out for me. There was a bit of water in the container as the lid has been chewed. I didnt have the right size replacement unfortunately. The logbook was fine in its plastic bag. Signed and replaced - not quite as found as I emptied out the water. Tftc
We went out towards Samford to assist the Cosmic Quest to reach the 15.000.000 .....We found this cache and signed the log. Tftc La Kedi
Thanks to the person who posted this we found it but forgot to bring a pen. It was a good adventure with the kids and pups.
Nice first find with my Daughter Edan. She found it by herself.. she is only 6 years old. TFTC
I was needing a wading cache today for a challenge so I begged Darth_muzo to stop off on our way to Clear Mountain this evening so I could look for this one. We parked in Arlington Drive and enjoyed the lovely walk up the creek. At GZ we looked around a few spots before I noticed it some way away from where we had been searching. I didn't need to wade but I did need to jump over a bit of water to get to the cache. Nicely hidden and a fun style of cache. Thanks La Kedi!
Map is a bit deceiving, not easy to find at night. Not much in it, still good fun
There is water in the container but we put a bit of plastic on it so it wont get wet and to the owner of the cache you need to replace the cap the birds got into it. Overall a good cache
This one truly had me stumped for a while, til I looked up log damp so photo for evidence
Really cool cache. Requires a little jump to get to. Container was filled with water though
Shoes are full of sand but after searching in the wrong place for ages we found it thanks to a picture in the comments. Was trekking with Trenko
Just across from the creek, nice hiding spot for this one. Just make sure you look up
0ut waking my dog and collecting a few caches while I'm at it. Battery running low so I had to give up the search.
La Kedi I found your cache The Not So Square Root on 15/4/2023, 2:15 pm. This is my find 5019 and find # 19 today. A quick and easy find. Nicely done. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Wee bit tricky as my GPS was bouncing around. Found it, great idea! Unfortunately a rat or similar creature has been gnawing at the lid, so now water gets in. I replaced the log and bag and have messaged the CO. Fantastic spot, TFTC
What an absolute cracking spot for a cache. Lots of shade, plenty of running water and enough water dragons to scare the lemons out of you when they run off.
We also turned up at a good time because only a hop, skip and a jump was required to cross the creek and keep the feet dry. Also what goose thought it was good idea to invent the triple jump? Just imagine if one of your kids came home from school and told you they wanted to represent Australia in triple-jump. How could you possibly keep a straight face to that?
I can only surmise that it was just some teenager trying to impress a beau that was competing in long jump and tripped and stumbled. Or more likely, it was just long jump for drunk people. tftc

#3 on my solo outing today. Have to agree, such a beautiful spot. Spotted it from across the creek. Now to get over without getting my feet wet. Ah, there's the way. Cache quickly retrieved, signed and returned. TFTC, TFTH & TFTSF
Couldn’t find this one, the GPS was taking me in circles and the hint doesn’t seem to be relevant anymore. Hard to know if I was even in the radius!
Enjoyed this find, glad the water levels were low for easy access after extending my search out further than where GZ was. Lid of cache has been heavily chewed by what I can only guess is some kind of native vermin with rattus type teeth. Was some water in the cache but log was dry. Emptied water and tried to replace in a way it wouldn’t get soaked if more rain came
Traveled up from the Gold Coast for two Events and had enough time up my sleeve to grab a couple of caches before the 4pm start of the first Event, A pint in the woods!
Met up with others doing the same thing as me and had a quick find mainly due to the good hint.
Thanks La Kedi for maintaining this rather old cache you placed one month after joining this addictive game.

Out geocaching with RoddyC, hatzofff, grannysmith 1947 and Imbunda chasing down oldies before attending the 2 events this afternoon/evening. Met up with Snickersallan as well along the way.
At GZ, couldn't locate anything that could hold a cache so widened out search and from the right angle spied the hide. GS1947 did the signing and returned cache to its hide.
A lot of water has been through here by the erosion on the banks.

Attending planned events later so decided to pick up a few oldies and a few caches in the way.
After lunch it was a nice stroll along the watercourse. We admired the massive trees (even though they are classed a pest).
May need a little TLC.
Travelling and caching with RoddyC grannysmith1947 Patrol14 and imbunda.

Had an appointment early this morning, then off to join RoddyC and Hatsoff to do a little maintenance then pick up Patrol14 and head to the Northside to pick up a few oldies and a few not so old. Met up with GrannySmith1947 once we arrived on the Northside.
Parked close to top of path then we set off to find it. We had a couple of areas we were searching but it was GrannySmith1947 who found the cache. Clever hide. Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC

The coordinators were quite precise, easy find however got my shoes a little wet.
The paper was all wet and mushed up in the geocache… we dug it out but it was irreparable sorry!! But this geocache was one of the most exciting we’ve found so far!! Such a great hiding spot, thanks for the thrills!
Last find of the morning before heading home and off to work
Great way to start the day
Great way to start the day
Lower water level made this a bit easier to access. If you are looking for the blue rope you are looking in the wrong place. Mind the spiders, they seem to be large and prolific at the moment. Log was too wet to sign. Found with CoolAsApickel. Tftc
Looks like floods might have destroyed this cache. Found this under the tree-not sure if it is part of it?
Found a string dangling but nothing attached and could not see anything around it either
Was a bit concerned seeing the traces of very recent flooding but the cache was safe.
Got my feet wet here, not the last time today
Thank you for hiding this geocache La Kedi

So a strange thing happened here. As I was trying to work out where GZ was I heard a splash and a bird had fallen from the sky and landed in the creek. It made no movement so I went over and it was clearly dead but I moved it out of the water just in case as I didn’t want it to drown. So I guess that’s what happens when a bird dies it just drops from up high.
After having a chat to the bird and sending it my condolences I went looking for a cache. Looking at the attributes I took off my shoes as there is a lot of water here today. Knowing I had to look a bit further afield I soon spotted the cache. Tftc La Kedi

Loved the ingenuity behind this one. Took the kidlet’s with me on a bike ride for this one. TFTC
The rain that has been threatening all day has finally started… however the tree cover here meant I stayed reasonably dry…
The attributes had me widen my search area slightly which enabled me to spot the cache… tftc…

Yay! This was a really tricky one but finding it and grabbing it felt like a movie. Definitely keep your eyes peeled!
This evening after work, jesswrigley and I took a short drive to Everton Park and we managed to be first at a newly published geocache.
Then after dinner, I thought I'd head a little further out to Everton Hills, where I took a solo run along Cabbage Tree Creek and found a few geocaches along the way. There were the usual bats and barking dogs that didn't make my run the most peaceful.
Targeting a nearby multi-cache, I decided to extend my run to this location. My coordinates had me at a particular tree, and then I decided to extend my search around. Still not yielding a cache but a barking dog nearby, I resorted to past logs and photos that hinted to what I needed to find. I then subsequently found the required cache, and it was a nice touch to the contraption that laid before me. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks La Kedi for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that there are some fairly big adventurous tree-climbing trees around here, just in case this cache should ever retire

Another fun catch/cache up with the Domsky Dou. There was meant to be a Community event today hosted by the helpful CO, but was cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions. We still had a very enjoyable day, lots of people out and about, the weather was perfect! Beautiful blue skies, not hot not cold either and of course wonderful company! We collected 17 caches and a tick as a bonus!
Thanks for looking after and letting us replace this oldie and taking us here La Kedi. It's our pleasure to get a Smiley
I sang my native land's national anthem when we replaced the cache. Old traditions are hard to break, it seems or just brainwashed!

Out for a lovely, almost spring day with E_Smiley, puddling through this area and just generally having a good time caching.
This oldie was a target on our list and we took a short walk into the bush area to gz. Arriving there, we quickly found the location, but also noted the container was missing, and also noted that the the CO has disabled this one.
A quick message or two sorted with the CO, and we have replaced the container in its exact location, tethered as before. Before we could re-open the app again, the cache had been re-enabled, and all is good here, with our names now added to the log sheet.
Thanks for maintaining this oldie La Kedi!
We really enjoyed the clever system employed here to find this one.
