Searched for quite a bit, no luck.
Does seem to be a bit of seaweed washed a fair way up around stairs?
Does seem to be a bit of seaweed washed a fair way up around stairs?
No luck after rock scrambling for quite a while not T1.5, unclear from logs if it had cache creep
Doesn’t appear to be in original place anymore but very easily found near staircase
After a bit of rock climbing, which wasn’t actually necessary, found it safely tucked away. Lost my writing implement somewhere so couldn’t sign log. Photo instead. Thanks
Found with Spidermonkeys Mum. Naturally I turned it into a competition, since I cant fish this weekend (not through lack of trying). Each cache I found I called out the score to SMM, and when I didn't know which direction or even the distance, I would call out "My GPS says zero!" That got her a few times!!!Safely say I won the Saturday round, and on Sunday I had lost interest and tried to just spot them from the car, as I drove her past some of the powertrail ones. Thanks to the CO's for putting these out for us to find, and bringing us to spots we wouldn't normally visit (especially if there isn't fishing)
Yay. Found it. Another fun adventure, many thanks for the hide.
GeoVenture Mega Event at Millicent, still looking forward to it!! A new date has been proposed for October 2021 now.

Was getting excited as we approached as we thought we were going to get a TB today. NO TB IN CACHE BUGGA. Can CO please mark as Missing?
Spent the weekend travelling Yorke’s, been lucky to find a few and unluckily not to find a few others. That gives us an excuse to return for another round of treasure hunting.
Many thanks to the CO for bringing Team Holden into uncharted territories.

On a day if arctic blustery conditions we set out to cache! Well why not? Better than sitting snuggled up in a camper all day. This is a very good example of less haste more speed. GeoD thinking he could spot it quickly took off out of car without the GPS only to return cold and wet and ni smile. Second time with gos proved successful and a smile appeared. Tftc

With the wind eased right off this morning the only issue might be rain today, but even then that should only be passing light showers.
So we are back out chasing caches again!
This time we are again heading south from Edithburgh but inland towards Port Moorowie. Very interesting countryside, all the lakes that randomly pop up add to the character of the surrounds.
Decided to do a loop and grab several caches along this walk. This one was a straightforward find that had a nice link to its name.

The Rats, steeba and Hoojar have teamed up for a York Peninsula adventure of massive proportion. With much planning and logistical coordinating, we had a great five days meandering the country roads collecting a plethora of caches. Our journey started with a handful letterbox caches before heading down the peninsula following the “Gone Fishn” series. We followed this up with an array of geo-art images that litter the lower peninsula. Returning to Adelaide we collected a gaggle of old and rare finds which included some interesting earthcaches and virtuals.
My apologises for the generic log, but thanks to all the cache owners and caching buddies who made the road-trip such a memorable and fun experience.
My apologises for the generic log, but thanks to all the cache owners and caching buddies who made the road-trip such a memorable and fun experience.
After a review of the geocaching map in South Australia it was determined a trip to the Yorke Peninsula would yield some significant numbers. So, The Rats, Hoojar and I teamed up once agan to tackle the many caches on the peninsula.
We started in the darkness after flying into Adelaide and the next day set some personal records (550+ caches in a day) and milestones before bunking down. The next day was another massive numbers haul which resulted in a bit over 1,000 caches in two days !
Then it was a little more sedate down to the bottom of the peninsula and then back up the easterly side, ticking off a few EarthCaches in the process .
After that, back to Adelaide for some night caching, virtuals and more EarthCaches!
The power trails on the peninsula were great- quiet roads, some great green wheat and yellow canola scenery, coupled with some great company and usual ribbing of each other [^]!
Thanks for your cache- sorry about the generic log. For the EarthCaches and virtuals look out for an email or two shortly.

This was a trip that had been some time in the making. A journey from Wollongong in New South Wales to the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, in search of large numbers. Five days were set aside, and The Rats, Steeba, and myself planned the details out. Lofty numbers were floated; we could find one thousand geocahces... Maybe more! The world was our oyster, all we had to do was make it happen.
We flew into Adelaide and quickly rented our car, then headed off for a series of thirty letterbox caches late that night. We then set up camp, ready for the next few days.
Two days journeying down the Yorke Peninsular saw us collect 550 caches the first day, and 450 the next. One thousand caches in two days! The numbers were phenomenal, unheard of, and excellent! At one stage we found fifty caches in a one hour period! We worked ourselves into a solid routine, and managed to push these numbers without caching after dark. Incredible! We camped out beside the trail, ready to commence again the following morning.
Having reached our goal of one thousand, we rented a cabin and enjoyed a solid relax and beet, and we were then able to dedicate the remaining time to specific caches, mostly Earthcaches to keep Steeba (The Professor) happy, and a good number of Vrtuals as well, as we made our way back from the end of the Yorke Peninsular to Adelaide. It really became a Tour De Earthcache! If your geocache is such a hide, stand-by, as Steeba will soon contact you with our answers.
As is always the case with these trips, the company was the highlight, with banter non stop, the time went by in an instant.
We saw some amazing things, found some excellent caches, and had an absolute blast.
Ticking just over 1300 finds for the trip, you will have to excuse the boilerplate logs!
Thanks to all of the cache hiders for their efforts in placing and maintaining their hides. It was fantastic exploring this part of the world that I had never visited before. Thanks also to my geocaching partners, without whom such a trip would not be possible, nor fun!
Cheers

Off to YP for the weekend with muggle partner and Brodie and what an interesting weekend it was!
Luckily yesterday's rain had almost blown away and the day was much nicer today: windy at times but clearer and nice and cool after all our recent heat
We said Hi to Ozibags in the morning as he had been in the room next to us, then we headed out caching prior to returning to the hotel for tonight's tea event.
After tea, Goodlook, Ozibags and I went out and did some night caching as you do!
Overall I had 4 DNFs (but 2 of those were later found), 1 event attended and 25 cache finds today.
Not sure who enjoyed this cache more... we human beings or Brodie the dog
Lovely beach and muggle partner jumped out on some rocks to encourage Brodie into deeper water..they both returned with smiles
My smile came from finding the cache

8767. The south-easterlies were still blowing strongly this morning so we packed our warmest gear and headed for a drive along the coast and back through Yorketown gathering caches along the way. The wind wanted to blow the pom-poms clean off the top of my hat - it gets pretty wild around here!
It just goes to show that reading the cache notes first is a wise thing. Once at the right level I searched for quite a while and then looked elsewhere and made the find. If I had read the notes I would have looked there first and not last. My name is now in the book however.
Thanks. The Mundtsters

Found at 12:30 PM in the company of Alansee, DiMorgan and maccamob - we signed our names in the log book as "DAMP".

Out with finding a few caches today with Laighside Legends and Squash99. Finding a few caches on New years Eve day as the year of 2014 is slowly coming to an end hour by hour as the sun goes down. So found a few caches. Then to end the day on way back to Butlers Beach we made a stop at Warooka to pick up a treat for tonights New years Eve celebrations. Ice cream and ice cream cones, why not when we have a Engle car fridge as a freezer so you can do anything while camping. TFTC

After doing the Fishy Tale caches the week before and had such a great time on the peninsula, we see there are many caches scattered all over the place so we decided to spend a couple of days here cleaning up all the caches here, many roads were traveled with some awesome views along the coastline, the weather was just right for us and along the way we saw quite a few sleepy lizards but no snakes, we look forward to getting the other caches on the peninsula as it is such a beautiful spot here. Day five of my holidays, today on the Yorke Peninsulas. This was my attempt to find 200 caches in a day. I picked the Fish Tales power trail as the bulk of the effort but needed at least 41 extras to achieve my goal. This was one of them. I started looking at the top, but found nothing. A quick check of the cache page showed me the error of my ways, and once at the right level, the cache was quickly located.
My thanks to The Mundtsters for the cache.

Found on a great day after doing FT on the YP with Dr Owl, CP, Mrs Aussie M&M and sushilord. We were now joined by Featherwaite.
Some of the team had previously found this so sushilord, Dr Owl and Ismartis went on another rock clambering exercise. Sushilord did the honours here and then the three had to carefully time their return to dodge the incoming waves. I just made it without getting wet!

It was a relief to find a decent sized cache in the area, but retrieving it was an adventure. Sushilord, Ismartis and Owl volunteered to head down the steps on behalf of Mrs Aussie M&M, who was developing some back issues and needed to be able to cheer from above. The tide was rapidly coming in, so Sushilord raced ahead and organised the find before the trio dodged the incoming waves to get back again.
9 year old excited to find this one, she left a "loom bracelet", loved the view of the seals

Freezing cold! Wind off the South Pole, 4 degrees and just had hail! Felt like sub zero! Found and then to the car to defrost. Beautiful spot, must visit again when it is a little warmer
This is our 300th find; though logged it in the wrong order. To top it off, we forgot a pen, so are posting a photo as evidence in lieu of a signature (photo is geodaughter holding logbook and her toy bat, brought along especially to see the bat cave). We also picked up the dolphin trackable and will move this on. Great little hidden away spot most people would be none the wiser about. TFTC
South Australia 2013 with Sol de Lune. We headed off on 12/4 and arrived home on 28/4. The trip was to visit the SA series so more time could be spent at the Mega itself next year. We did a huge variety of caching around Murray Bridge, the Mid North, Yorke Peninsula and Whyalla Region. Apart from one wet night and two wet days we were able to spend heaps of time caching.
Today we were traveling on the Yorke Peninsula, the original destination for this trip for the fourth day and we were off to the national park. Plenty of history to be seen here. We went via as many of the towns as possible along the way. Everyone has done a great job of placing a great variety of caches and we had a great day.

Today was the day we went into Innes National Park to grab just a few caches and to have a look around. The old township of Inneston was great to walk around. Well worth the effort to get to the bottom of the Peninsula.
Grabbed with Albida on our 2 week caching run from Canberra to, and around, different parts of South Australia including Loxton, Murray Bridge, Tailem Bend, Yorke Peninsula and around to Whyalla before heading home via Broken Hill, Cobar and Parkes. We completed a few power trails and left a couple to do when in the area again for next years Mega event.
Overall a great many different styles and types of caches found. A great time was had caching for 16 days straight as well as camping along the way.

Found it! the geo 6 yr old raced to the top to tell dad he found some treasure. lucky he just had a little badge from the cache as dad was talking to a muggle! all in good condition take your own pen
Didn't read description beforehand, so went to top of cliff, fortunately managed to see it from there.
Saw the obvious location from on high but due to an injury I couldnt make the descent. Muggle fishing buddy offered to grab it and pass it up so I could sign it. A great spot....... very scenic!! Thanks Mundtsters for the hide!!
What a location - out by the reef there was a large (insert collective noun here) of seals playing, jumping out of the water and surfing in the waves. It really was a very special sight. Thanks for bringing us to this excellent location!
