I think it might be time to archive this old faithful; pretty sure the cache ahs been swept away for good.
Judging by the area, this cache is well gone, and may need a very different spot...
No chance of a find here, way too much damage. We were accompanied by two fantails on our way to GZ and back. This must have been an epic flood of Noah proportions.
We came for a quick visit here today to look at the flood damage. I walked along the path to where this cache is hidden but didn't look for the cache as the flood waters came right through here. Unless the cache was tied down I suspect it would be gone.
Parked opposite the holiday park entrance and was about a one minute walk following the track to GZ. The co-ords are good so was a quick find here. All good at GZ. TFTC. Cheers
Travelling Auckland to Napier (for the first time in more than 5 years) and, of course, caching along the way despite the rain. Our first visit to this park in about 15 years and it brought back memories of past events here.
After following the GPS for a while we saw the blue paint and soon found the cache. Thanks for bringing me back here.

Staying at the nearby camping ground and decided to take the dog for an early morning walk to get rid of some of (his) excess energy. A few scratches from the toi-toi and a nice find.

I found this cache along with a small group of secondary school students (SJCgeocamp) who were finding Geocaches as part of their camp week. They visited Huka falls, Taupo, Napier, Hastings and Te Mata Peak over four days. We went swimming hiking, and biking and found a wide range of geocaches ranging from traditionals, puzzles, Earthcaches, gadget caches, and the boys favorites-night caches. My hope is that because of their experience they decide to continue Geocaching as a hobby in the future. Thank you to all the CO’s who placed and maintained all the geocaches we found and for bringing us to so many interesting spots.
Enjoyed our walk to GZ. It took a while to hunt this one out even with a dozen of us searching, but we eventually found it.

Great to see it's been found again, I was kinda worried after the last DNF. Thanks for the log.
Heading over to Napier grabbing geocaches as we go.
Wandered along the track to GZ where with a stick in hand, poked around in likely spots until cache was located - TNLNSL and left as found.
A good stop here, not too many around and was great to revisit a park I used to go to as a kid and no damage done to the hide or me by the cutty grass flax thingy.

Sad times, leaving with cuts all over our arms. Planned to leave the Rubik’s cube TB here but couldn’t find the cache.
First cache since we moved to the Bay-can't say it was an enjoyable experience but we got there eventually.Fantastic park-tftc
On a mission to ^The Mission^ and Dixie Chicks with McJandals.
Almost gave up on this one, certainly wasn't under the undergrowth
Cheers

#13815. After a couple of drive-bys in this large park, we had to walk a bit to get to GZ. It proved to be a bit of a jungle, but we tracked down the cache in the end. TFTC.
Day 12 of our North Is trip, and today we are travelling from Taupo to Havelock North where we will be spending 2 nights.
The third of three caches looked for in Eskdale Park, a park we had all to ourselves today. Took a few minutes to track down as we were a little reluctant to tangle with the vegetation hiding the cache. Just a few more months until the cache's tenth birthday . TFTC.

A quick find for us today while we enjoyed the park. We have never been here and enjoyed walking around the trails. Tftc!
Exploring Hawkes Bay together with MUEZ: We did not have heaps of time left on that day but nevertheless wanted to have a quick look at this lovely park. Indeed, there were hardly any people to be seen and so we were able to discover this well hidden container absolutely undisturbed. / TFTC
A quick find, was bit weary of the toi toi cutting us, great hide, cache in great shape. Thanks
A little bit of offroading here. Enjoyed this cache despite being attacked by the plants. A good hiding place. Looks like there has been a little foot traffic here.

Day 10 of our Mega Roadtrip. We parked our wee car on the gravel road and decided to walk down. On the way we saw a golf car? in the water. On our way to the cache we had to do bit of log hopping/walking to avoid the large puddle. The rest was easy apart from the cutty grass at GZ. We could here some motorbikes in the distance and when we came back 5mins later they were trying to rescue the golf car. (photos attached) Thanks for the smilie
Part of my post Mega drive around places I haven't previously visited. Thanks for the caches.

Maybe should of done the destress one after this cache. Found after a long hunt. TFTC
Heading back to Hastings from visiting family in B.O.P. Have never been to this lovely park. What a wonderful place to camp or just have a day with family. Found cache just as the description says and yes to the previous log surgestered, wear long sleeves. Nice hide. Cheers.
On the way to visit friends in the Hawke's Bay with Tigatat2.
Pulled into this lovely park to get a couple of quick ones (we hoped)
Lovely walk down by the river and I can see why this is a popular camping spot.
Once at GZ we split up to search and Tiga joined me as I was on the spot for this one.
Soon discovered, signed the log with our joint names TT2M.P and returned as found amoung the cutty grass.

What a beautiful spot. Nice little trek to GZ. Recommend cachers wear long sleeves when retrieving cache. Cutty grass got it's name for a reason. Signed as TT2M.P with My.Precious.
Banian and I found this cache on our autumn northern roadtrip- where we did a circuit of the north island from Wellington right up to Raglan, then across to Napier through Taupo, before heading home, finding masses of caches and discovering a plethora of unique and interesting locations.
Retrieval was difficult, but that's why this place has endured so long. Some wasps about. TFTC

Found with Redants on our April Holidays Road Trip to Raglan and back. Yesterday was spent around Taupo, today we head to Hawkes Bay. Seem to be lots of wasps aroung GZ.

After a hunt through all the curry grass we finally spotted the said tree. Camping at the local caravan park for Waitangi weekend so ticking off some caches while here.
After we checked in for the night at the nearby campsite we walked to the three nearby caches. This was the first one we found

Found it. Thanks. Weren't really any good kid trades in there, so we left a few. Be careful getting this one, as it is surrounded by cutty grass (toi toi is on the other side of the path) and thistle. You might want to have long pants on.
Lovely area. Staying at the Eskdale camping ground which is a very relaxed place with friends.
Great river, nice and warm (not sure this will be a year round feature) and the mountain bike park is just over the other side.
Cache easy to find. Tftc

Easy stroll in nice park. Our car gps did take us off track as it looked for an actual road to get to it
Very cool place to hide a cache beautiful location and a fun filled afternoon with the kids. Tftc
Beautiful park, definitely hidden away! Followed the fresh geotrail for a nice easy find & nice easy legsyrech.- much needed after doing the IronMaori yesterday. TFTC
A short break from the car. Looks like a lovely place to camp. I do a bit of free (what I think you call, freedom) camping, in Australia. TFTC Team Maynard.
Day ONE of the Clan Murray 2015 GeoCache road trip - Tauranga to Napier
A nice quick park and grab. Cache exactly were GPS said it was - soon had in hand

When we pulled up I could see a gap between the fence and the railway trace fence so we went through there. Once closer to the cache we realised there was a very well beaten track we could have followed! Would have avoided trying to navigate through some backberry but nevermind haha Spotted the cache pretty quickly and Jordis retrieved it. She refused to put it back so that ended up being my job. TFTC
Once we got back to the car Jordis had fun throwing stones in the river while her baby sister threw sand.... which ended up going all down her back!

Nice quick stop on my way home to Rotorua. Very quiet and peaceful here today and not as windy as the other caches I've done today.

I have spent plenty of time at the nearby bike park but never been here before. What a lovely and well kept spot! I was very tempted to camp here for the night but wasn't sure how the neighbours would react. TFTC here.
Awesome spot. Enjoyed walking through the tunnel of grass to find this one. Quick find once there. TFTC
Lucky we had read some of the previous posts and brought along gloves with us. Didn't help with the cuts on our legs though. Interesting place to put a cache.
Out and about around Hawkes Bay for a day's caching with Yeetrees and boxhill. A great day for it and a most enjoyable tiki tour around the Bay.

With the main reason for todays trip done and dusted, there was a little time left to grab a few finds before heading for home. Nice to do away with the sad blue face from a few years back and replace it with a happy yellow one. TFTC
Hi From Australia on out grand NZ tour. Thanks for a nifty little hide in a lovely out of the way place. Great park to stop and stretch our legs, even though it was raining!!
#10283 - 11:55
Very strange a nice park and nobody there. Here we enjoyed a quiet lunch and afterwards we could find this cache easily.
Thanks and greetings from The Netherlands.

Have to be mindful of the cutty grass when hunting for this one (, ). TFTC; left TB: 'TB Race'
In the Hawkes Bay for a long weekend of relaxation and caching. Our for dinner at a nearby winery restaurant and we were a little early so decided to grab a nearby cache. Not exactly dressed for Geocaching but managed to escape with clothes intact and only a few minor cuts from the hide . TFTC.
Well hidden. Walked past it and had to spend 20 mind playing on the swings and slides. TFTC
Day 3 of the KiwFruitsNZ/Vamber Xmas road trip saw us head to Napier/Hastings, and picking up more caches to satisfy the requirements of the GIO Licence.
After a pleasant walk, we soon had the cache in hand, thankful that the toitoi did not too much damage to exposed arms and legs!

Day Three of the KFNZ/Vamber geo-cation around the North Island saw us tackle the roads from Rotorua to the Hawke's Bay.
Finally having arrived in Napier, we stopped here for a nice walk and a quick find of a cache! Thanks for the hide.

Having a picnic in the park when we thought we'd see if there were any caches nearby. Great to find one that actually had some tradables in it. Thank you.
Got an opportunity to relocate a campervan from Christchurch to Auckland. With 5 days up my sleeve what better excuse, than to go find some geocaches along the way. Targeting certain caches along the way to help with the geo licence series in Auckland, so not a full on numbers mission, but managed around 70 finds over the 5 days. Thanks everyone for the placements.
Enjoyed the walk to GZ, and managed a quick find. TFTC.

Took the camper down to the camping ground and turned around so that we could park closer to GZ. The rain decided to ease off as we arrived but still had to dodge the puddles. Quickly spied in its hides hole. TFTC
Spent ages searching for it, but it seemed so obvious when found! Great little spot - no trout today though
Yebo nice path to the cache, all fine and dry, tnln sl tftc

TFTC Can't remember the exact date we found it, but we had a great afternoon and stopped for a real fruit frozen yoghurt on the way back
We usually stop at the beach, so this was a nice change of runaround/toilet/eat place on our trip to Mahia.
What a great park!
My great-grandparents were the 2nd couple to be married in the Eskdale church - wander if they ever came here to the park?
Found cache hiding spot easily enough. Started to rummage around (got a few cuts), then decided given the nature of the hiding spot, walking around and finding the most obvious place, then stick my had in! Was in the obvious place.

There was only a crappy 'playground' at the campground but the kids made the best of it. An enjoyable walk to the cache. Great to see a big cache container.

We decided to walk through the water to visit this cache. I lovely, great spot for this cache.
It was not Christmas, still it was full of tourists here.
Thanks for showing us this nice spot and maybe hide it next time on the other side

Stopped of on our travels for a morning coffee break. Geopup enjoyed having the place to herself for a runaround while we searched for the cache TFTC.
Nice walk on a beautiful summers day. Found GZ easily enough but finding the geocache wasn't. About to give up when I spotted a likely place. Investigated and quickly had cache in had. Only suffered minor cuts on my arms. Nothing big. TNLNSL TFTC [B)]
After a lot of scratching around the cache was eventually found TFTC
