Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA. Have stayed in Naracoorte a couple of days and are ranging further during the day to grab some finds. Interesting folklore - thank for sharing it Beaker
Travelling with richlink as part of our Annual Caravan Geocaching Trip.We are staying in Narracoorte for a few days, using geocaching as our tour guide. Thanks Beaker.
This cache was one of those found around or on the leap day February 29th, 2024 before, during or after the Mega event in Adelaide. Many thanks to all those owners who placed caches that VK7HCH and I found during our trip from Hobart to the Mega and return home again.

10:51En route to the South Australian Mega Event, second day - Dimboola to Tailem Bend. Collecting smiley tokens on the way. It was interesting to see the caches we had found on previous visits over quite a few years. it would be interesting to know the age of the plaits.**FEEDBACK TO CO:** Cache could do with a bit of TLC/Clean out. Thanks to -Beaker- for hiding caches in interesting locations. 36580
So pleased that caching bought us to this area, otherwise we would have missed this important tree. Took photos and will share them. Nearly forgot to find the cache, but all OK . Thanks beaker
Out caching in the Bordertown area. This was 6 of 6 for the area before I headed off to Meningie for lunch with Sis.
As I approached GZ, I spied an out of place item, sure enough the cache was there. now my time has run out, I have to skedaddle for an afternoon with Sis.

Time to explore some roads less travelled today and found this cache as we headed over to Bordertown and Mundulla .
What an interesting tree, first we've ever seen like this [^].
Quickly found . TNLNSL.
Thanks for another one Beaker.

This tree is so lovely to look at. Would never have stopped at it if not for caching. Or found it if not for historical reasons. It's a tree. But it is a lovely historic tree. It's a native historic tree. And I visited it today for a smiley which was found really quickly. Container had been wet and log had been damp. All dry now. TYFYC SLTNLN
Day 372 ( Friday 4th ) of our trip. Caching along the way. In Mundulla today. A total of 13 for the day and 6566 the trip. A grand total of 16,534 caches. TFTC
Travelled to Bordertown to attend hevwalkers Community Celebration event and stayed overnight. Continued to cache around Mundulla and the surrounding area with scramping & hevwalker.
Enjoyed discovering the local history dotted about the countryside, thanks for bringing me here.

Found with hevwalker and LiB. Nature always amazes me that's why I love it so much. Such an amazing tree it must be at least 100yrs I'm sure. TFTC
Travelled to Mundulla for the weekend to kill 3 birds with one stone. Surprise a very dear friend and attend her Celebration event, have some R&R away in the van AND find some caches! A quick find here today, but spent some time trying to work out all the different directions of the twisted branches. Another bizarre thing we would not have seen if geocaching had not brought us to it! TFTC
Finally found it after 3days of looking !!!! Didn’t expect it to be there . Cheers beaker

After an event at Rocket Lake Saturday we have managed to cross Murray Sunset east to west and now north to south via the Border Track mostly. We camped near the rock holes last night and headed down here as we continued our journey south to the blacktop to Pinaroo for lunch and a refuel and the group split up.
Thanks Beaker for the rescue and an great weekend.

Today was the final day of my trip down the south-east, and I was on my way back towards Adelaide from Mount Gambier. I had done a cave dive at Engelbrecht Cave, and once I had a snack, I decided to head back by some back roads east of Naracoorte. That is, a few *Rusty Rails* caches found and visited the towns of Kybybolite, Binnum, and Frances, before just managing to attend my planned Bordertown event. I then visited Mundulla and its surrounds. The state was in a total fire ban day today, and there were areas that I drove through with a smoky haze, evident of various fires in the region. A hot, hot day indeed.
An interesting tree here. The cache was found quickly, namely because of a telltale sign of the cache hide here. Both the container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [@-Beaker-](http://coord.info/PRN1VJ) for the cache hide and maintenance.

TFTC SL Exploring Bordertown. Takes a while to get a result. Thanks for bringing us here.
Must admit that I did wonder what a plaited tree would look like. Not sure what I expected, but it was something like what we found. This was very interesting, thanks for placing a cache here and bringing it to our attention.
Found with Geoturtle37, beckNmonts, The_Tritonz and micaparamedic. After leaving the border Track our little Victorian convoy was back together again with micaparamedic joining our merry crew. What an interesting tree. I have never seen or heard of one before so this cache gets a great big favourite point from me for showing me something new and really interesting. The cache was a quick, easy find and we were soon on our way again. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
With the Victorian's leaving the Red Bluff Campground after an awesome weekend in the Big Desert, we drove to the historical town of Mundulla to collect clues for the mystery tour multi as we picked up all the other caches in the area.
On approach to GZ we were trying to imagine what a plaited tree would possibly look like as we had no idea what to expect. Well we were surprised to see the results of the work of the indigenous locals from all those years ago and the fine specimen of a gum tree still healthily growing.
Thanks Beaker for showing us this impressive historic tree.

After a morning packing up camp and four wheel driving out, it was nice to hit the hard stuff and cache around the area in convoy. We had a great time exploring the town via the caches placed. This tree was really interesting. A great place to be taken. Thanks so much for placing this cache Beaker
Having read the cache page we were intrigued, and so made the divert to seek out this cache, which was quickly located once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and for having bought us to see this unique tree. Greetings from Zimbabwe
Found it on trip to Adelaide for Christmas with family and relatives via Mundulla
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Went out from Bordertown again today. Another easy find and the last of Beakers I found today. This find brought me to the milestone of 10000 finds. I celebrated with a dingo's celebration. A stretch and a look around. TFTC. and Thanks Beaker for taking me to some interesting sights in the area.
Day One of the odessey over to Mexico for the Parkville Mega event. Today was a half day from Adelaide to Bordertown, picking up a bunch of caches along the way, focused mostly on older caches (read decade or more older). Add to that a quick stopover at a certain CP Wanderer's home to drop off some gear and enjoy a cuppa. The night ended around 11pm with my last find near Wirrabarra!
This one looks very creepy when you're alone at night Have friends who originated from this area (Schuester Rd is named for their family).
This was find number 30 of 30 for the day for me. TFTC -Beaker-!

Found with sharkiefan
Headed over the border into South Australia for a June Long Weekend caching trip to Meningie. To hit the ROTF trail (but we abandoned that after only 96 finds on it) Oh and to help sharkiefan make it to the big 10,000th smiley.
Today we were heading off back home via the back roads and to go via Mundulla as there is a nice cluster of caches to grab here.
Another quick find on the way around the dirt roads of South Australia while slowly making our way to Mundulla.

A really small sign to point it out. Huge tree. I imagine they chose it for its size as well as distinct shape.
Based in Meningie last night we were heading home the long way.
This weekend's mission was to get to 10,000 finds.
Initially the plans were to do the ROTF series, but a combination of not realizing that I was so close to 10,000, plus not wanting it to be a boring power trail cache for my big number AND the trail was on such a bad road with awfully incorrect hints and coords, so we abandoned the original plan at about 3pm and concentrated on just seeing the sights and finding what was along the way. It was much more fun.
The end of the weekend had me at 10,010 finds and quite pleased with the rest of my weekend.
I had found 5 types of geocache (trad, multi, mystery, letterbox and Earthcache) and seen some amazing wildlife and scenery. Basically the ideal caching trip.

Thanks Beaker for bringing me to see this tree and for the history lesson about it's earliest uses by the indigenous community. Even the owners of the motel were were staying at didn't know of it's existence.
Mr Ozjeeper teamed up with Aquilus1 for an afternoon of geocaching in the area after we had attended a 100th family birthday celebration at the Mundulla Pub.

Was in Mundulla for my Grandmothers 100th Birthday celebrations over the weekend and having lunch at the pub. A nice lunch, a bit of celebration then found some caches in the afternoon with OzJeeper as we explored the area, discovered the backroads and some local areas of interest. A very plaited tree here indeed! Thanks for the cache.
Found with e.gregory1 on our way to Little Desert NP to tackle the 'This is SA' series. Thanks for the cache Beaker!
What a fantastic tree - this was a surprise! Thanks Beaker for an interesting cache.

Out on a caching run with Mr Froghoppin,
seeing what we could find on a rainy stormy day.
Plenty of gaps in the clouds out here, and when it really
poured we'd plan our next attack !
Pretty impressive tree !

We didn't get a good appreciation of this tree because it was getting quite dark when we arrived at GZ. However accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks -Beaker- for the cache.
Heading across to the Yorke Peninsula with Team Crackers. Last night we met up with The Drovers and Konie in Bordertown to have some fun caching and socialising, as the now larger small group joins forces and heads to the YP as one over the next few days. Today we made our way from Bordertown to Mannum with quite a few trads, puzzles, multi's and letterboxes found and logged. The log books now carry the acronym CDKM or a derivative of that, depending on whether a team member had found the cache on a previous occasion.
Thanks -Beaker- for placing this cache.

Camped at Bordertown, with Team Crackers, Micaparamedic & Konie, for a new caching adventure.
Today, we picked up some really good hides, and a variety of cache types.
All caches signed and replaced, and a very enjoyable day was had.
Many thanks for placing this cache, -Beaker-, for us and others to find.

Travelling south for work and stopped along the way to grab a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
After parking nearby and a short search the cache was soon in hand.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Love this tree, quite unique. Was in a rush and brisal5 insisted I needed to visit it. I like to plait my hair but not our trees. TFTC.
Didn't stop for this one during the event so swung by here to find it. Cool tree. A cross section of the tree must make a pretty interesting pattern, great for a table.
