This hide was simple enough but when the tops went missing, it was too much to even consider maintaining this..
Beautiful afternoon for a hike with the whining geokids. Thanks for bringing us up here, left some small swaps to reward the next geokids for their efforts! TFTC!
Spent about 15 minutes searching for this one with my gang of newbie cachers. We thought we found a likely place for the cache, but there was nothing there. Maybe next hike
Tried for ages but could not find it. Will have to bring dj8 geograndson with his eagle eyes to help me next time
After doing the work to get here it is a must ti keep looking until it is found...
Beautiful afternoon for a walk took a little while to find thanks to master14 and his multi tool, miss 5 says thankyou for a fun geocache
Headed off from another cache and up again. Made to the top of the slope and came around the corner and saw another slope.
Did anyone tell you, you're walking my legs off.
Made it to the top of the slope.
Now the hunt was on.
No not there or there or there must be there.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Rastas000 All good with this cache

Great hide. Had a few of these before. I thought the three utters were for the three hills to get to it

Tftc and the hike. quick find after ignoring gps. Was 3m out for me w/4m accuracy so probs 1m out for me. Great walk track.
Phew massive walk with geokids and geobub, looked in all kinds of strange places but regretfully dnf.
Looked every where, even went deep where I probably shouldn't have gone. No where to be found
Up that challenging track today - Hot Xmas Eve but no cigar. Think I was missing something. Still and all I have claimed the other ones below on the track and so next time I will come at it from the top = should be flatter aye?. Not sure what to make of the don't drop stuff . I'll be back !
I am glad we had the keys to the gate and were able to drive that hill. But maybe that's cheating.
Continued on from this one from a cache lower down the hill - I certainly wasn't going to climb that hill twice. Not many options at GZ. Tried the first one unsuccessfully and moved on to the other unlikely one. No joy there either. Re-examined the first and spotted evidence I was looking for. A bit of assistance from the surrounding environment an the cache was soon to hand. Thanks for iving me cause to climb a hill I would never have attempted otherwise.
Found the lower cache so came up here too. Spent longer finding this that I should have but was happy to get it out of there. Now time for me to get out of here. Tftc. All good with log book.
As Whint said: we tried a number of locations until we finally decided one area had to be the one and we set about accessing the cache. This track sure is a busy one. There were runners, joggers, walkers, AND geocachers all on this track today. We were the geocachers and we sure were glad we were walking DOWN this slope and not up it. We waited for walkers to pass before retrieving the cache, we signed it and replaced it just in the nick of time. More walkers were appearing. This is Utterly Be@stly and a good hide. Thanks for the cache Rastas000.[^][^]
Found with Aussie Liahona today toward the end of a great, beautiful day of caching on the mountain As we got to GZ a muggle started coming down the hill so we took the moment to have a drink and catch our breath. After said muggle went on his way we took to working out where to look.... I saw something... nope, turned around and saw something else... nope not that either... wandered around a bit and found myself back to the 2nd thing I saw.... we decided it had to be... so with a bit of help from Aussie L. we grabbed the little blighter... yep, I knew it had to be that but I questioned myself at first... doh!
Tftc and the hike A lot of people out and about here today, we just got the cache returned as 2 more sets of muggles started up and down the hill... talk about timing

An ingenious little hide.
I did the obligatory look around everywhere but the actual hide that was staring me in the face! Muggles galore out along these tracks this morning. Good to see so many people out trying to get healthy!
After an FTF lower down the mountain this morning I continued up to grab this one too. knowing my nephew had found this one not to long ago I was determined not to make this one a DNF! Determination paid off. Log is a little wet but in reasonable condition.
Thanks for the hide

Out and about climbing Mt Cootha finding caches.
After the first walk up the mountain I thought another lap would be good training.
This track was quite a bit steeper and a lot move uneven.
Eventually I got to GZ and after a brief search I found the cache.
The container probably should be replaced as the lid has gone. Though everything should remain dry where it is.
Thanks for the cache.

At long last this cache is off my list of to do's. The walk up the hill early this morning, only broken to stop off for another cache. Passed some walkers coming down, onward and upward, thankfully the cache was an easy find, didn't fancy any bush bashing. Thanks Rastas000, for providing a nice workout on new years day.
Nice cool breeze check! Water bottle check! Enthusiasm for trekking 1km up a steep track check!
Took me 21 minutes to reach GZ. Prior to that a bit more time to find the best parking spot. There were a couple of muggles in a parked vehicle behaving badly at the first place I checked out. Thankfully that wasn't the carpark I wanted ... Whew!
Halfway up a couple of walkers on the way down admired my Le Chat crazy cat lady t-shirt which provided a nice diversion from the climb. Next time I looked at the compass there was only a handful of steps to go
Cache took a bit of effort to open but I found an implement nearby to prise it loose Signed log and took pics to upload.
TFTC Rastas000, nice walk and happy to convert this one to a smilie

Roped 7 other work mates into the hard slog up this hill during our office christmas party at Simpsons Falls park. Most of us made it. Strength in numbers meant a quick find - but would you believe not one of us brought a pen. Oh well. TFTC!
I wonder how many Kg's I lost walking up this hill at 4pm in the afternoon.. its hot! Cant believe some people riding their bikes up this.. and joggers. All I could think about was to get it and come back down quickly - I had a reason - storm approaching! I reached GZ and hunted. Big black clouds overhead, then boom - thunder. Needed to find it quickly so I PAF. It was where I first looked but I should have put a little more muscle into it! Ha - after the hike up I was so knackered I was not surprised I had no strength. Walking back to the car, spots of rain were coming, and by the time I got into the car, it was real rain. So glad to get this one done! TFTC
Easy find. I arrived here from SES and missed the epic hill climb. Downhill running was exciting too!
Lid of cache is gone. Other than that, TFTC!

Now that was a hill climb
After work this afternoon I decided to bite the bullet and take the walk up the hill to collect this one as my cache-for-today. It wasn't too tough a hike up in the flat sandals, but coming back down I had to zigzag the steeper bits as the traction wasn't too good . The cache was a quick find in the first place I looked [^] Nice hiding spot TFTC, Rastas000.

Nice easy find. Thank goodness we picked a cool afternoon though. Got Homer and SES on the way back.
Thanks! Wife and family almost expired on route. Nice tricky hide. Good view on the way up. Cheers.
Success on my second attempt. I came at this one from the nearby Homer cache. I am sure I looked at this hiding spot last time, but obviously I did not look well enough. It is a good feeling to find this one. TFTC
A cold clear Winters morning need a good stiff climb to get the blood pumping. I planned a long circuit around the mountain today. After overshooting SES, but getting there eventually, this was my second cache of my mountain circuit. Mmm, a micro hidden in the bush. Normally I'd hate this. But this is a great hide. Nicely done.
I was sitting on the smooth surface nearby, and had sigend the logbook, when some mountain bike muggles puffed up the hill ushing their bikes. I joked about gravity with them. After they'd gone, I returned the container to its position and headed for channel 9.
TFTC Rastas. A favourite from me for the effort to get here and the nice hide.

Got the whole Meerkat family plus Mr Rosenstingel up the hill to grab this one. What a perfect day to be out and about! The eldest daughter saw the hide immediately and it turned out be correct. Her caching skills are complete!

do not lift the ground cover as there was a snake in the bottom. Very sneaky cach had great fun finding it.
After staggering up the hill the GPS had me bouncing back and forth all over the place. Every time I started to search some disgustingly fit muggles would interupt me. Will have to try again on a quieter day.
Found with TriBre while on a training walk with some Scouts.
Cache was in the first spot we looked however we didn't find straight away. Didn't look hard enough at first and once other options were ruled out and we returned to the original location we came up trumps.

We where on a bit of a training walk around Mt Cootha with some scouts, also mastamak and one of team kidzjct was in attendance. Mastamak and kidzjct arrived at GZ first and started the hunt, the balance of the party continued on leaving us to our hunt.
After reading the hint we returned to our first point of call and managed to uncover the cache. This was a great start to our day with the 1st of 5 and no DNF's and 1 Major injury (Fractured Collarbone)

Continuing walk from SES on great autumn day. Pleasant walk and then spotted the likely home and quick find, our minds must be tuned in to this kind of hide.
My 4th and final cache on my little tour of Mt Coot tha this morning.
Fortunately, I found the sneaky little cache fairly quickly.
Thanks Rastas
I must be getting old and unfit - my thighs were not impressed with the downhills today - uphills are fine - go figure...

Didn't get to try for this, as came from Homer to find the track closed. I'll watch this and see if any one goes, not knowing the area that well, and caching alone not brave to tackle a closed track. Thanks Rastas000 another time.
No luck today. I thought I knew where it was but could not see it. I was interrupted by a forestry truck coming up the track so I moved on and will try again another time.
Parked in the wrong spot for Tap Dancing so let geo-hounds drag us up here first.
Rescued Deep Space Homer from his imprisonment while we were here

I decided to head up to this one after a visit to the gym... what was I thinking? Thank goodness I started from the Bardon end as although it made for a tough 700m or so seemingly straight up, it was a lot of fun running all the way down afterwards.
Arriving at the GZ, I searched for quite a long while (a long way to come for a DNF!) and eventually found the cache in a place I had attempted to search twice before... what an utter, utter and a lot of other names that came to mind as well.
Please extract cache carefully as I have added my little friend Deep Space Homer who is in a bit of a precarious position but will be hoping for a successful lift-off... good luck.

Not so hard, we set off on our bikes from the top of the powerful owl trail. The younger ones zoomed and the rest of us just peddled. Up and down the gentle hills till we got to GZ.
We rested our bikes on the only bit of level ground and hunted around. We looked at the final spot but didn't see it and after a bit of wandering around tried again - no other geotrails, so it had to be there.
Then a pause or 2 while a couple of groups struggled up the hill - to think that some do that every week-end. Log book signed and returned.
And we set off to complete the ride. A great view from the crrest toward the city. The last 500m was a bit steep - so we walked down the hill with the brakes fully on.

I think I "Terrain 4'ed" your Terrain 2 cache, Mr Rastas000 My approach was probably the shortest way - but man that hill is a killer.
I was doing better than some folk though - I plodded up past a few people. I finally arrived at GZ and found the cache after a small hunt. It is in very good condition. I too noted the log from the BCC (took a happy snap as well). They must not have been happy times for the geocaching community. I grabbed the trackable that was in the cache.
I re-hid the cache and set off back down the hill carefully. Glad to cross this one off. TFTC Rastas000

Fairly easy find, I wish we could say the same for the walk. After spending most of the day doing cahes up and around the mountain we were silly enough to leave this one till last. The comment from Brisbane City Council in the log book was an interesting one. Thanks for the excercise
After the strenuous walk uphill, thankfully we found this one almost straight away. An awesome hide!
After what i thought to be a stupid idea of hiking almost 500 metres straight up this little one was not far away.
I day hiking and caching, it does not get much better.
Just have to convince the geowife that i am not trying to kill her by making her walk up those hills hehe

After finding SES we bushbashed our way up to the next cache. We looked around the obvious site but no luck. After more searching and a hint from a fellow cacher (Peter) as he was walking past, we found it. Geodogs enjoyed the walk.

Found after 10 minutes searching around. Reread the clue again and again before I finally got it. Its a really nice walk up and had a great time. Thanks for the cache
Found at 4pm. Pretty easy find, but an aptly named cache! Thanks for bringing us here.

Placed my old GPS to get a better fix in the tree cover and went searching where it suggested and then every likely location I could think of. It was getting dark but I could not give up, it is a fair trip to get here, so out with the torch. I hate this but time to go. Grabbed my GPS and it hit me where it might be. Very very tricky. Thanks for a great cache.
Why not[?] We were in the area right?? . Huffed our way to the top of the hill and we huffed right down again . Well not right down... Took a bit of a search to find the cache. Not the first place we looked . Thanks for dragging us up here Rastas000!!
found cache with manic wombat and friends.
Scramble up the hill from SES and had a look around. The walking was easier once we got on the track.
Nice hide. Thanks for the cache and the exercise.

What a sneaky little cache. Nice location, and lots of great walking tracks here. I'll be back for another visit or two
Found this one with sniffme on a grand day out (in the blazing summer sun). Legs are still screaming at me several days later from the climb up the track.
It was such a relief to find this excellent cache after the hike.

I was questioning why you would hide a micro in the bush, but when I saw the hiding spot I knew immediately . Nice hide. Cheers.
The start of the hockey season is just around the corner.I decided it was time for a bit of a workout for the legs and the heart and lungs. After locating Rock on Mt Cootha continued up the path to this cache..After signing the log in the peace and quiet of the bushland I tackled the steep decent luckily without incident. I located the cache easily all is OK TFTC.
Yep, the name says it all. I was up this way last year and missed this one, so out today for a stroll dowm from Ch 9. Phew, the walk back was fun up the wee hill...
Found it with Maldude. Lots of muggles around. Didn't expect this type of cache in this area. Clever hide. Great hill but nice walk.
On my visit day of caching.....took a while to find when on site...part of the fun of it all.
Accompanied with Gunnie69.
Arrived a bit hot and bothered to this one... It didn't help when I had looked over the cache several times and had thoughts that it was there... Only to never look at that spot, leaving Gunnie69 as the victor...

After finding Utter Utter B last week, I was expecting something similar. Not to be... Very different in fact.
Very hot and sweaty after the climb, the cache was found after a bit of a hunt. Silver Sovereign along side, we conducted business and moved on with great haste, to get back to the comfort of the airconditioned Gunniemobile.

We wanted to do all nine Caches within the scenic drive loop, but the weather had other plans for us, so after walking in the rain for three hours and getting soaking wet, we gave up at Cach number seven.

I hope that this micro isn't where I think it is - if so it was sharing its hide today with a poisonous looking snake.
A bit late to log sorry. The b@stard was found! I had considered its hiding place but had dismissed it - I guess I shouldn't make assumptions I didn't have any glue to bring with me, but even though the magnets have come unglued from the cache container they are still doing a very good job at holding it in place, I don't think there's any danger to the cache.

Didn't find the b@stard today (and for the second time overall), grrrr. And now I read the last log, magnets?? Gees, I wasn't looking for anything like that! Hope I haven't accidentally dislodged it in my seach. I'll be back again Tuesday, armed with some clues that I will have to extract out of a fellow cacher. Sounds like I might need to take some glue too.
Today was 'Mt Coot-tha Assault Day', with 12 caches in our sights we set out to see how many we could round up. Starting the day with 97 previous cache finds number 100 was sure to be one of todays targets.
This was our 4th cache and 3rd find for the day, yep number 100!!. Looked in the 'obvious' place first, but then decided to look in the correct spot.

I overheard a hint about this one from Rasta, however, I must be thinking more like a cacher (rastas in particular) because as I approached GZ, I think it would have been obvious to me anyway.

Preconceved notions aren't often the best ones. Eventually looked in the right spot to find the cache. Good hide, and a great track for the geocycle [except for the uphill bits]. SL. Thanks Rastas000.
