We've decided to let this one go. Although it's a great spot for a cache, it's very difficult to make a hide to withstand the elements, a big thank you to The Wackys for the original hide and to everyone who's visited over the years.

20-May-20
As many can appreciate, getting to this cache in recent times has been an extremely challenging endeavour, some might even say for a large percentage of that time it would've been prohibited for us to travel to Port Parham to do so. As we're now heading into winter, replacing the hide will be even more challenging. We'll see how the weather and opportunities to visit go over the next month - if there's no chance to replace the cache in that time we'll archive the listing.

15-Feb-20
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.

Camped at Port Parham, today we ventured out and about using caching as our guide to try to find some unicorns. After chasing 30 unicorns around Wild Horse Plains, it was back to the van for lunch and check out the tide. Today we would make our own assault with some soggy ambitions. Walking pole, Check, neoprene shoes, check, waterproof baggy for phone, check, batteries in gps, check. Hats, sunscreen, water, check. It would appear the tide was right, and that we could head on out into the abyss.

I am a bit slow, hence the walking pole, but I finally made it, Mr D had already arrived, but chose to wait till I appeared before looking for the cache. Which was easily seen with out getting out hands or feet wet! Unfortunately, the lid is missing, and the container full of water. No sign of a log sheet, if there had been one, it would be too wet to sign any-way.

Sad that this is the case, but have sent a photo to cache owner for permission to log - and maintenance required.

Thanks The Wackys the the entertainment and o'cholio for maintenance. Fave point for the fun

15-Feb-20
This geocacher reported that the container is damaged.

15-Feb-20
Container in desperate need of maintenance/replacing. We'll get up there and sort it out in the not-too-distant future.

Camped at Port Parham, today we ventured out and about using caching as our guide.

A hovercraft woke us early this morning as it made it's way along the beach! Why! The army were going to play war games. Boom Boom all morning. Then when the tide was perfect for our own assault on this cache, we found that the beach was actually closed till 4.30 am. So we would miss today's tide.

Will try again tomorrow.

21-Sep-19
looked around the structure, no wire to be seen. maybe rusted and cache floated away ? looked in rocks and under metal structures, could not find.

17-Apr-19
The tide had started to come in but had no trouble reaching the cache. Came prepared and was able to open the cache and sign the log. Took some photos, watched the pelicans and wandered back in. The water was quite warm. Didn’t see any crabs. A great cache, which we enjoyed doing! TFTC

17-Apr-19
Found it, loved doing this cache, enjoyed the walked to the gz with the dogs in tow. CIGC. TFTC

17-Apr-19
Walked out to cnr (B)Ridge Rd, love the signage out there, before doing some crabbing.
Saw cache, didn’t try to open it has we didn’t have a pen. Leaving tomorrow so won’t get back out there this trip. TFTC

11-Apr-19
Couldn't open the lid

14-Mar-19
I have been wanting to get to this one for over 11 years!
Finally made the effort today.
With tide not at lowest until 2:24pm, I found some others nearby first.
Started the walk about 1.5hrs before lowest tide, and hardly got my feet wet the whole way to GZ!
Alas the cache was full of water and devoid of anything that resembled a logsheet!
Having emailed the CO earlier in the morning, and having received permission to replace if necessary... I did just that.
A new cache container, logbook and wire attachment, after removing the old cache container. NO pencil though, BYO still... And make sure baggie is sealed too.
I had guardians watching me, and then a jinker with a boat in tow went past also.... probably wondering what the hell I am doing out there for a walk, 900m offshore! hahaha
Anyways, the sand was like concrete, so maybe can be done as a driveby? The jinker did, and that was only 2WD! hahaha
Glad to finally complete the 'Walk It' series...
Thanks for keeping this one alive o'cholio!

14-Mar-19
Back online just before we were planning a maintenance visit for the weekend, thanks to the diligent efforts of Hurtle. Thanks heaps!

23-Oct-18
After the last couple of logs, we've decided to take this one offline pending maintenance. The spot and the hide warrants the continuation of the listing, so we'll get onto this within the next few weeks or so.

21-Oct-18
Found with e.gregory1 while in the Port Parham area today. Thanks for the cache The Wackys and o'cholio!

21-Oct-18
FeatherWaite and I made a quick trip up to Parham today to find a few caches.

We had a particular interest in ‘Walk it #3 - Soggy Ambitions’ and had noticed that the tide should be just perfect later in the morning to make the walk without too much difficulty.

We arrived a little early, so wandered around picking up the other nearby caches and watching the crabbers while we waited for the water to recede a little more.

The walk out to the cache was very pleasant, and we barely got our feet wet until almost at GZ. The container was quickly located, but was unfortunately completely full of water. As we were unable to sign anything, we photographed it. The container desperately needs replacing with something more watertight.

Thanks o'cholio for a very different cache. A favourite point from me.

22-Sep-18
Target cache of the day. I had this one recommended to me to do. I checked the tide times and got here at the peak of low tide. I saw where i needed to go and some strange looking vehicles out on the " beach ". Yes now i know there called Jinkers. I walked out to gz and didn't even get my ankles wet. Found the cache filled with water and no paper, seeing that someone has signed the pencil before i tried to stamp one of the sides, it doesn't work. So took a photo at gz as proof that i was there. That was certainly more entertaining then a park and grab. fav point for something different.

29-Aug-18
Couldn’t resist trying this magnificent cache today and it certainly was wacky walking out and looking at the boats the log book was more than a bit soggy added signed paper in a small ziplock but not sure how well it will last TFTC

25-Apr-18

At looooooooooooooooong last.

I remember Wacky giving me heaps I'd not done this one. But she knew me well and I didn't really like getting so soggy. I remember her wet hair look - but guess I didn't have to be worried about that.

I drove past this one 100 times and felt guilty.

Then o'cholio took the cache over when Wacky went to greener pastures.

But I still drove past it. Smile

Until today. SmileCool

Today the tide times were checked. The Jinkers were checked (but no, I didn't). Big Grin

The weirdest thing about the whole experience is walking past guys fishing in boats. [B)] Yes, you actually get to walk past people fishing in a boat. [:o)]Surprised But weirder than that, is when you say "gidday", keep walking, they see you and your slow wake , say "gidday" back, and that's it. Not, "hey mate, what are you doing?" or, "hey mate, where are you going?" or even better still, "hey mate, can I offer you a lift back to shore?". Surprised

Nup - they say gidday as if it is some normal thing to see someone walking past them in the middle of the ocean. Weird.[:o)]

The cache was soggy so the next finders will see a stone in the cache with the signatures.

Thanks to o'cholio and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

25-Apr-18
Tide Times - Check. Pen - Check. Arrive at correct time - check. Available Jinker - not today.

After making our way out to the most obvious structure the cache container was soon located. The log was a Soggy Ambition all on it's own. Tried scribbling on the ikea pencil. Maybe it needs a magic log paper. Our Soggy Ambitions were realised. TFTC

17-Apr-18
Found at 2:34 PM GAFF2.
We were very fortunate with this cache - after setting up camp we headed off to explore and noticed that the tide was a mile out - literally! So we looked at our GPSr's and saw that there was a cache out there that we could just about drive to! However the "hand brake" made us walk Sad
Arrived a GZ and we immediately found the attachment of the cache and then after a bit of fiddling - we managed to get to the actual cache. Opened it up and - what the heck is that gunk Surprised Looks like it used to be paper. There was a pencil in the container and that was good enough for us to sign - so we did [^]
It would have been pointless to place another piece of dry paper in there as there is something wrong with the closure and water is seeping in - unless someone didn't close it properly previously.
Thanks o'cholio.

09-Apr-18
Out and about with KalebClark, made the walk out here but unfortunately couldn’t log as paper is wet! TFTC

09-Apr-18
With a pen and drink bottle in hand we trekked off to find the cache from our campsite at the free camping site along the beach Esplanade. Tide was low and on a hot day the sea breeze and puddles along the way felt amazing. On arrival we quickly discovered the cache and it definitely stood up to its name...walk..and very soggy...the log book that is. We were still able to make our mark and then replaced it as found. Thanks for beautiful walk and views. And the cool down on this hot day.

22-Mar-17
Parnham. We have set up camp at the recreation grounds.
What we thought was low tide we headed out, it was 1k from the campground.
Good walking most of the way & then about calf height of water at GZ. We could see the attachment so it wasn't long before we retrieved the log. Reattached & then the return walk.
Favourite point given
Thanks for placing this cache o'cholio

fun find on a day out with Satay Sleuths

17-Nov-15
Out for a sunny day's caching with Mr Froghoppin.
Already soggy from the last cache (Rest Stop), our ambitions were
fixed on the distant prize.
This Wacky cache was miles out across a wet desert land resembling a
scene from a space mission, complete with the Mars rover vehicle in the distance!
After the long walk out the cache was quickly located, remarkably resilient considering
its location. The wire tie had long since gone, so we secured it again with rock and paver!
Not sure what's up with the street signs right out here, but fun to get a cache in the blue bit of the map Razz
TFTC o'cholio Cool

17-Nov-15
Out for a adventure on a couple of low tide caches around these parts with Mattycat, after completing the mangroves rest stop we already had the soggy shoes so with the ambition to beat the tide we set off on a wet lunar type landscape, saw the lunar rover in the distance but soon covered the required meters to GZ in little time at all, surprised at the dry condition of the cache considering its location, signed the log and made sure the paver was replaced another fav point for the adventure TFTC o'cholio Wink

One of my favourite places.

A bit soggy

I heard a rumour that Walk it #3 and The Shelter were going to be replaced (with COs' Permission) and that a group was coming to find them, so I tagged along Smile
Brodie and I met CPwanderer, Clare007, Hevwalker12 and Snap Happy out at Port Parham and we cleaned out the area.
7 finds Smile for me today, then home I went to keep cleaning up and filling a skip bin.

The others were walking back in from this hide as Snap Happy and I arrived so we then took the quickest route out to the cache... if a jinker can do it, so can a 4WD Wink
Thanks for the lift Snap Happy [^]

As CP was keen to complete some maintenance on this cache, we had a group of us tag along as well.
As the tide was descending, it was a pleasant and easy walk to the beacon.
I forgot that my work boots had elastic sides and soon filled up with water!
Luckily, I had two pairs of socks and this soaked up the moisture.
Walking back we spotted two other cars, two people, a dog & a drone circling overhead.
Thanks for the cache & letting us operate on your cache, just kidding O'cholio Big Grin

Located on a days caching in the area with SnapHappy, LocusCache, Clare007 and HevWalker12. A really fun cache!! Thanks o'cholio for the hide!! ............ a favourite!!

An early start to get to this cache at low tide after receiving an invitation from CPWanderer & Clare007. How could I resist. We arrived to find the water level down right to the beacon. It was a little deeper at the site but i was prepared with a change of shoes & jeans. We were there to do maintenance on the cache with CO's consent. That done & the log signed we started the walk back to find Snap Happy & Locus Cache waiting at the carpark. They drove out in Snap Happy's 4WD. Great start to the day. TFTC o'cholio.

A big thank you to the group who replaced this cache today. It'll be going for a while longer now Smile

After reading previous logs we pre-signed our name on some new log sheets, put them into a snap lock bag with the intention of replacing the existing log sheet. When we arrived, we realised the bag was too big for the container, so just put our piece of paper into the existing bag within the cache container. Don't hold out much hope for it being waterproof though.
Nearly left our run too late and as we arrived at GZ the water was lapping around our calves but luckily the container was quickly spotted, deed done, and then the tide was free to come in as fast as it liked!
Good exercise - especially as we walked out to the cache, then back to the car, then back out to fish and do some birdwatching. Had to make a hasty retreat back to the car an hour or so later as a mild storm with its rain and sandblasting drove us off the beach. Great cache, fav point. Thanks

31-Jan-15
This one lived up to it's name, a walk and a soggy logbook.

After doing making the walk out to Mangroves Reststop this walk was a piece of cake. Just my luck to have a family crabbing at GZ. They headed out a bit further but one girl decide to come back to gz, she obviously didn't trust me not to steal their rubber thongs.

I found the cache and when she wasn't paying attention got it open, but couldn't sign the log as it was mushy.

The walk back to the car was a bit sad as this was my second find for the day and the second time I couldn't sign the log book.

On a brighter not I remember coming here many years ago to go crabbing and it was good to bring back those memories.

TFTC

18-Jan-15
Ok we actually live here and like any thing else its " yeah ill get that one" so today we decided to go for a walk to say we found it (even though I knew where it was all along) so dogs on lead , horses everywhere and a half a dozen land yahts we discreetly walk to the pole..... Amongst the little crabs and the seeweed was the cache, but on retrieval, straight away i said oh ohhhhh..... Full of water.... Its all wet.. So we tried to dry out much as possible and tightened the lid best we could, we couldn't log our names at this point but will give it ago another time....... It might be time again to look at another water tight container...... But anyways TFTC

08-Oct-14
I'd found the cache at Thompson Beach and looked to see this as my next closest. After a read of the description on this cache, I proceeded to check the tide times. Wouldn't you know it I'm in luck CoolSmile I have approx 1.5 hours to make my way around to Parham. Should be easy... no... not so straight forward Twisted The dirt road that appears on the map doesn't seem to exist in real life, double back here and find another way across Sad I arrive at Parham beach with plenty of time to spare, the weather is fantastic, it's a beautiful warm, sunny day and the tide is out... way out and that IS a good sign Cool
I gather up GPSr, phone, camera, pen, thongs & a bottle of water and set off. Part way out I spot those weird vehicles [?][?] At first, in the haze against the distant horizon, they look like drag cars waiting for the tide to go out so that they can roar around on the sand. As I get nearer I can see that they are not built for speed but now they remind me, oddly, of something from a Mad Max movie. Although not built for speed or racing across a barren wasteland trying to steal fuel, they are built for the rising tides and getting to and from shore. The walk didn't seem to take long at all with so much to take in. The pelicans were preening themselves, the muggles were out in deeper water, busy with the days catch on their minds Smile I stopped here and there to get a photo or two Smile At GZ it was very easy to retrieve the cache, some moisture has made it's way inside. I shook off the excess water, wiped the log sheet, signed it and placed it securely back in it's plastic bag & preform tube before attaching it below in the watery nook.
This location & hide earn an FP from me. I had an enjoyable hour or so, actually have no idea how long I was out there, I lost track of time & came back sunburnt Wink
Thanks for the experience and the cache Big Grin

We rarely have an intended camp spot but we had stayed near here before and knew it was probably the best free camp spot before Adelaide. We arrived at about 3.30 and checked out the tide which luckily was favourable.
Once at GZ the container was quickly located. The contents were damp but we dried out the zip lock bag and held the sheet of paper in the wind for a while to dry it.
Then it was a quick walk back for happy hour.
Thanks, we enjoyed our walk to this one.

Yes, it's only taken me four years, but today had good company and good timing, tftc

We saw this cache had been temporarily disabled due to a wet log but we were keen to find it. We waited till the tide was almost low, about midnight, and set off taking a temporary replacement log with us. What an amazing adventure it was walking over the mudflats by torchlight with a tiny spot in the distance as our target. We'll remember this cache for a long time. TFTC o'cholio, a favourite point awarded.

Back online after a log replacement by geono. Thank you very much, guys!

08-Mar-14
Offline due to sogginess. Other finders referred to in the last log "acknowledged" (not exactly sure what that means if they don't log a find, though. Not really up to us).

This cache needs urgent attention as the log book was
wet and we couldn't get it out of the container
We did find it but couldn't sign log book because
of the above problem.
I was geocaching with black cat123, her son
and heenie 278 so can this be acknowledged for
the records

The last 'found' log has been deleted due to non-communication from the 'finder' after requesting it be changed. Just to reiterate: although the previous owner may have been generous enough to grant a find when the cache was missing, it isn't missing now (just soggy, apparently!) so not finding it = a DNF. Thanks for reinforcing the point, Nibsy.

18-Jan-14
We found the spot, but we weren't brave enough to blindly stick our hands into the mass of seaweed..

17-Jan-14
If you didn't find the cache and sign the log, then you didn't find it.
If I could convert all my DNFs into 'found' simply because I got to 'the spot', I'd have a find count to rival MaccaMob's.
Perhaps 'note' or 'didn't find it' would be more appropriate?

10-Dec-13
Container is not water proof, paper is soggy. Needs to be fixed. Great find, on second attempt Smile

13-Apr-13
Qickly arrived at GZ and spotted algae covered paver. The only muggles were raking crabs five hundred metres away, so I had all the time in the world. Alas I found no stainless wire and no cache. Searched high and low, in and out without success. I'll just have to be happy with Bombs and Lasers. It's been a nice place to camp for a few days and the meals and drinks at the Sports And Social Club were most enjoyable. Those Jinkas are something else, too. Hope it was just me but it mightn't hurt to check as I gave it a good go. Cheers.

15-Jan-13
Got there not too long after midnight, and without internet access had no idea what the tide was doing, but it was probably out, as when I woke up at 0630 there was a lot of activity of 'Jinkers', something I'd never seen before but very interesting. I wasn't going to swim out, and it seemed a bit silly to blow up the inflatable canoe, so headed off after a few photos.

17-Dec-12
Whoohoo - we've been here a couple of times and the tide has never been right. Today it was perfect and we walked out to #3 almost without getting our feet wet (well..almost, but not quite!)

Lots of people around too, but they were occupied with their fishing/crabbing endeavours.

We found an excellent stainless clip and a squid jig..and the cache!

Fantastic cache - we really love this one and gets a favourite.

14-Oct-12
Cache checked today and found secure and still attached to its locating wire. It was buried a little in sand, but the wire led us straight to it. Contents still dry. Shouldn't really need to state this, but...all references to logging this cache that state you can log it as a find even if you don't find it are to be ignored - because a) different owners, and b) it's there, and it's been checked! Good to go.

27-Sep-12

27-Sep-12
Offline till it gets checked out. A reminder: if you're going to log a find without actually finding the cache, at least do us the courtesy of asking permission first and describing what you did or didn't find.

13-May-12
Spot revisited at low tide, cache replaced. All good to go. Hint updated.

30-Apr-12
Walk It #3 - Soggy Ambitions was transferred from The Wackys to user o'cholio

30-Apr-12
We'll be willing to replace and look after this one if we get sent an adoption request...we may even have one of those "bottles" kicking around the place (if not we'll just beg the Burtons for some more Smile).

30-Apr-12
We'll get this one back up and running hopefully within the next few weeks. Thanks to The Wackys for letting us carry on with this great cache.

19-Apr-12
The ideal containers are PET bottles that haven't been blown up yet, eg. cordial bottles, they start out as a thick walled vial, then they are blown up into shape - they are both strong and water tight, and therefore ideal for situations such as these

16-Apr-12
Lol, fair enough Nibs, I can see where you are coming from - how about anyone can log a find if they supply a photograph of themselves getting to the location in an usual way, where something hasn't quite gone right, or at any time other than low tide (refer to the first logs on this cache if you don't know what we're on about, definitely worth the read)

15-Apr-12
"Until it is replaced, please feel free to log a find if you have ventured out to this interesting location."

I reckon if they want to log it without actually finding it, they should do it when the tide is say .....groin height Twisted. That sorts the men from the boys SurprisedWink.

10-Apr-12
Bugga, looks like it has gone missing again. Given I now live in Tasmania, it will be a while before I can replace it, so if anyone would like to do so for me, or even adopt the cache, please shout. Until it is replaced, please feel free to log a find if you have ventured out to this interesting location.

08-Apr-12
With permission from Whackys to log as found I'm doing so. Thanks for the walk! Great spot very interesting Mad Max type vehicles draped with kids having a wonderful time made the trip even more worth while. Can I ask what you had attached to the wire that endured it's position as this info would be useful if the cache is to be replaced.

TFTW! Wink

08-Apr-12
Headed across to look for this one while Geo- Kid searched for crabs. no luck for us today, I only found the wire with a looped end to which we believed the cache was once attached.

20-Mar-11
It was low tide when we arrived, so we set off walking. Finally arrived to find nothing attached to the wire. Disappointing walk back. Will try again another day.

24-Feb-11
We walked it! Few folks were around raking for crabs. We were very impressed with the cache location. Great job!

15-Jan-11
Waited till about 3:20pm when the tide was fully out, then ventured out to the cache, great location, and enjoyed the walk to GZ also. Took one of my Geosons out with me, who loved watching the kite surfers.

Visited this cache today whilst giving the dogs a run on the beach - o'cholio has done a great job of securing the cache, thanks again Mick

06-Nov-10
Checked the tide times, but arrived an hour early.
Started to walk the 700 metres out to the cache, but there were other vehicles out there, so decided to make it a drive-by Razz. I don't recommend this - while I was there, another car got bogged, not far from GZ Red Face!
The container is securely held and shouldn't move anywhere [^]!
TNLNSL.
This was just soooo different than when Nibs made his first attempt Surprised.
Thanks Wackys (and o'cholio for replacing the cache).

25-Oct-10
With many many thanks to o'cholio for getting out and replacing this cache for slack old me, I can now proudly say that this cache is finally back in action - thanks Mick, much appreciated!

25-Oct-10
Cache replaced by Mr O while on a crabbing expedition with JadedOptimist. The new container now sits in a loop of stainless steel aircraft lockwire that's looped around part of the structure. Cache is down the bottom, and you can see the wire tethering it running downwards. It's a bit fiddly 'cos the wire's kind of tight-ish, so future finders will need to make sure it's sitting tight before they leave.

08-May-10
Given that there were a DNF and a pseudo-DNF on this, we thought we'd check up on this one seeing as we were in the area and the tide was out (and as we were the last finders). Definitely gone.

08-May-10
Thanks to o'cholio for checking it out - I will get a replacement out there asap

Like previous cacher I could not find and I and two friends spent close to 20 minutes looking, so I think it needs to be checked out because I thought I had reasonable eye sight and was good with my hands

Had great ambitions for this cache, but they were all dashed. Searched for ages at the object at GZ and found nothing Sad

We had no idea what to expect with this one. Luckily we came prepared with a 4WD borrowed from Mr O's dad and were pleased to see the tide was way out. Drove straight up to the cache (interesting signage, btw) and had it found within a minute or so. It took a bit of force to get the lid off, but everything was dry and in good order. That's the whole series done, now Smile TFTC Wackys.

Found while out with O'Cholio on an adventure filled day. TFTC.

I happened to catch this one at low tide on the way past. Groping around amongst the rocks, I finally got the cache in hand and discovered I'd made the search harder than it needed to be.

Managed to catch the tide out! One of the best and most cleverly concealed caches visited so far - thanks!

Must admit the star ratings on this one put me off for a long time, But today the tide was a long way out and we drove the 2WD to within a metre of GZ. As it turned out, easier access than nearby Bombs and Lasers. Made the find harder than we needed to as well, but in hand and time to stroll to the water fr a paddle in crystal clear water. TFTC

Had planned this for a few weeks but the strong wind a few days ago had me wondering about the tide. However all was good at lunchtime and it was an easy 800m walk out. Didn't look that far from the shore but I guess there is nothing to really judge distance by. Took quite a while to find and only got one cut from the sea-life. All nice and dry. Grabbed what I thought was an empty beer bottle to take back to a bin and deprive a blue-ring of a home but after a while noticed the lid still on it, thought it was sea water filled but then noticed the lid really was on and hadn't rusted through! Yay, FREE BEER!Big Grin
I have no idea how long this this was out there, bottle is rust stained and cap is rusted in places. It will be taste tested ASAP.
Summary: Took beer, left blood.

Planned my whole day around this cache today and I was rewarded with an almost dry walk out to GZ [^]
I used to come to Parahm every year for holidas when I was a kid so I know how quick you need to move here when the tide changes!

Cache is in perfect condition despite not having been found since January Surprised Log bone dry and all in its place as should be.
Thanks for the exercise Wacky's and the memories as well.
Cheers.

rocky Glen Groms enjoyed Bombs and Lasers SO SO much they decided that they also had to check the "about" whereabouts of this one - the tide was in (which we knew it would be) but we'll return - we love Wacky caches!

Find number 1 of 9 on Stage Three (Adelaide to Katherine) of my Melbourne to Katherine Relocation.

Great cache! Was very excited about this one when i saw it on the radar, always love these cache types! Stayed overnight at the great (free) camping area just down the road so that we could do this at the right tide time! Great spot and marvelous hide. Took about 20 to find but in the end i was kicking myself because i had handled the vector so many times before without realsising that it was a major part of the cache!

Even better, i was saving this cache to be my 300th! A very good way to have spent it i think.

Another I should have done as a drive by. Tide was 0.1m today and the water was kilometers out. Tried a couple of times to find a way to the beach. Soob was blocked by deep sea weed both times. So I parked and walked the 800m.

Should have tried that third location. It is flat and hard once you find a way onto the surface.

The cache was right were it should be and was still nice and dry inside. Clever one Wacky. Love your work.

Despite this being the highlight of our day, we just could not find a container of any description. Twisted The tide was on the way out, and water was lower than knee level at GZ, even the fishermuggles nearby were not in our line of sight. Managed to get 7 or 8 cuts on my hands as I felt and groped around but could not find anything resembling a container. Not to worry, we will enjoy another walk out here in the future.

Unfortunately we were there half way. Not high tide and not low tide. Enjoyed the visit so we know what to expect. May even stay at the camp ground sometime. Cheers from the Posspet Boys

Holy Cow Skippy, I didn't know Kanga's were THAT scared of water!!!!!!

Now if I had brought my car this would have been a driveby, if those monters from the War of the Lords cars can drive in and out of here without lowering tyre pressures i could have too in 2wd

Thanks Wacky's

Did it as a drive by.
No not really but we could have.
Skippy was a scaredy Kanga as we were mid way between low and high tide.
Being an aquatic parrot I was keen to give it a go and convinced to come along.
Skippy brought protection but he didnt need it as the water barely tickled our toes.
Signed the log and chatted with some locals.
The Pelicans are still about. We got to see them close up as I didnt re-calibrate my compass before we set off which added a few more metres to the walk.

I didn't have any problems with this cache. In fact I was on my way to do some fishing and thought this looks interesting. Saw Nibs log and thought I may be able to throw some lures around. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!! At the correct time of day this becomes a drive by. Not a fish in sight. No water for about 600m either. Are you sure your GPSr is working Nibs. I think we will grab a silver for this and Nibs deserves another gold for his creative writing skills. LOL Big Grin

Cheers and thanks for the cache Wackys

PS Wacky's, you could have made this wheelchair friendly if you pick the right moment!!!!!!
