Our for a caving weekend and we got to GZ and searched for a while. Then after reading the logs we realised there was no cache to find
As with the others, after a failed search the logs told us we were looking for something that's not here.
Cache is gone. It has been four months since a needs maintenance was logged and still nothing
Out in the area for a scout camp and we walked all the way to the top.... Sadly it was up there that we checked the logs...
A long trip walking the white, the green and orange tracks.
Lots of cold wind over the top of the ridges.
I found the location and what the hint referred to.
However what I found there was the broken edges of the lid, a few moisture absorbing pads, a pen, a broken snap-lock bag and the information sheet from the cache. nothing else.
I collected what I could.

I was headed to the ACT today for the start of a great weekend of caching...and as I had plenty of time on my hands...I couldn't resist making the detour to grab this one. Parked the nearest car park opposite the access point, and headed off down the trail. I soon came to where I had to leave the trail...but the flora was well spaced which made for easy walking. Once at the top, the views were quite nice...and I soon located the cache well hidden. The only downfall was that the cache container is cracked and will need replacing. Fantastic location!
Gratias Team Chaos.

Much easier then anticipated , very revarding , the location is truely amazing. TNSL TFTC
Wow and Wow, Thanks for showing me this fantastic spot, I really enjoyed the liberating feeling of being above everything, like a eagle pirched on top of a mountain. One of my favorite cache locations. SLTN..TFTC
What an amazing view. Went with Macca, while we took a break from caving - this time we started from a different place. I will definitely be bringing other people here to see the view. Saw some falcons, too. TFTC
This was one fabulous Geocache!
It was so beautiful and exciting to do.
Thank you.

Top spot, outstanding views dispute the drizzle that plagued us on this one.
Found it with my Geo-Daughter during a recent our visit.
The plastic container needs an urgent replacement as it is VERY brittle and has a large crack in it.
PS: This will not suit anyone called "muggamug"

Awesome location. Don't let Geokids anywhere near this one. Great walk around there. Although we took the long way atoms past Mass Cave. Up here with my son and his mates and one other dad, caving abseiling walking. Best swimming spot is down the yellow track and go upstream a bit to just under the weir. 10 min walk easy. Kids were jumping from about 8 meters up the rocks into deep water and didn't touch the bottom.
After a DNF back in September with Socks, I decided on a different approach to this cache. This time I came from Adams lookout and found this way to be alot easier. After not finding the cache after ten minutes of looking and with GZ somewhere in the middle of nothing, I took hint which turned out to be useless as there were lots of the things that the hint said to be only 2 of. Anyway I did find it in probably the scariest spot, not a place to bring your Geokids. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC.
Cheers

Was here all weekend for some SES caving workshops but couldn't resist in doing some caches at the same time! Found this one after a little scramble, certainly not a cache for the ones with feat of heights. indeed the coords are about 10 meters of but the cache is in perfect condition!!

Went down the path with Macca. Down down down, saw the wall, but did not find the cache. The sun was setting and the terrain treacherous. With the loose rocks around, I don't like to leave the path, so I left the cache.
Not sure if I went the hard way or the easy way, but eventually found a route to the wall. With the GPS saying I was in the right spot I looked for a while, but no luck. The rest of the family were waiting for me back at Mass Cave, so I didn't want to take too long. Having now read some of the previous logs (something I didn't do whilst out there), I'm now pretty sure where I should have been looking. I'll be back. Eventually.
Even with a DNF this was still a great caching experience. There is no way I would have found this spot without the cache. Thanks Team Chaos for showing me this amazing place.

After reading previous logs for this one we finally knew what track to take (as well as attaining a map of the local area). Last time we were here we attempted this one at night, and now we know why we had no chance. A stunning area that we really enjoyed visiting.
Cache was found without any trouble, however we did spot a pretty big snake curled up in one of the crevaces - luckily the day was quite mild and it was happy to rest.
After the cache duties were completed we stopped and stared for a little while but not too long as the rain looked like returning.

What a great park! We enjoyed the pleasant walk along the track from Troglodyte #2. Unfortunately we didn't find the cache, but the area and the views were well worth the trip! Since it's out on the point with a clear view of the sky, seems the coords would be right on; so hubby Pip looked in an ever expanding area from GZ (I stayed at the top! I dislike heights, and the steep, narrow slope is covered in loose rocks). Looking at the tracks afterwards, it was evident that even though Pip went down as far as he felt safe, 17 meters down from the coords wasn't far enough. Unfortunately we won't give this one a second go, as it's way too hairy for us. Thank you for sharing this great park, for the views, and for the opportunity though Team Chaos!
Another visit, another failure. Took notice of Mt BikerOz's comment about how far out the co-ords are & looked in an arc 10 to 12 metres out from supposed GZ. Then pretended to be a muggle but that didn't work. Spent a good hour looking around but to no avail. Have added this one to that list that shall remain nameless.
Found on a nice walk with Hoojar.
It was nice to be moving freely above ground for a while.
I'm not the best around heights so I was moving around a little slower than i usually do looking for a cache.
But the view in Bungonia is always impressive and i probably wouldn't have come out to this point if it wasn't for the cache. Thanks.
I felt sorry for the TB's and coins as there are so few a people that pass through the area and bother to come this way... so i have raided them all.

Notice to all you watchers out there - the SRA is closed until 19/9/08 incl for feral animal control. I drove from the Shoalhaven with the intention of looking for this one (again) & T3, didn't notice the small sign near the Hume turnoff but certainly saw the big one in Bungonia. Oh well all was not lost as got a FTF on the way back. Have a good weekend.
This was excellent. We went the wrong way to start with but we looked up to see a wall on the other side to where we were. We went to the Mass cave turned down there, that was an interesting place but still wrong. Finally we made it to the right place and what a view, we sat on the edge and was blown away with the views. This is why we do it, thanx for bringing us to this spot we loved it.
We took a couple of T.B's and Geocoins just in case they got stuck here for too long. We dropped of a coin as well.

We looked, and looked, but didn't find this one. Previous log entries suggest that the coordinates might be a little out. I did expand my search grid, but obviously not in the right direction.
Came in from a different directionm this time (other car park), fresh eyes sort of thing, walked down the hill, and straight to cache in 10 secs!!!!!!
Then sat there (up on the top) for 10+ mins admiring the views and dropping off 6 TB's and Geocoins.
Excellent location, TFTC.
PS - the coords ARE 10-12 m out, the cache is "FURTHER out". As I sat up there, the GPS clearly settled down and was continually showing the posted coords were back up the hill 10-12 m.
PPS - There is a LOT of muggle entries in the log book, seems quite a few have found it by chance!

Thanks.
PS - an ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC LOCATION, pity I'll have to fork out $7+ again just for the pleasure.

Yep, still there! I think it may have crept out further along the wall over time... Hang on to your hat as you retrieve it for it is a long way down. Not sure of the significance of the hint in its current location and previous logs about walking over it ...no way! Container is loosing its closures, 2 down 2 to go, due to the exposure it is receiving.
Like the last looker, we did not find. Found two pointy rocks and signs that it was probably there.
Can the owner please check if it is still there.
Nice walk anyway. TFTH

Found side track easily enough & two sharp rocks that appeared to have been placed by other than mother nature about 2 metres form GZ. However nothing behind them or in immediate vicinity. Not a complete loss though as walked 3 of the tracks. Saw 4 kangas including one with a joey in its pouch. Like the area so left the other one towards the East for Spring.
Once we worked out the correct track to take, and after a bit of a scramble (and a side trip to descend part of the way into Mass cave) this cache was found relatively easily, in that I followed the GPS needle to GZ, was just taking my backpack off in order to make searching safer and nearly put it on the cache! I have to admit, a mapping GPS with topo lines loaded made this much easier.
Anyway, an awesome location to stop, and take a moment or 2 to admire the stunning view, and read the logs from the non-cachers who have also discovered the cache - at least they did the right thing! TFTC

I must have walked over this cache a few years back pre-caching days.
GZ was a few metres out, but still posed no difficulty.
I left a TB.

A couple of years back at about this time I must have walked right over this cache. At the time we were ogling Frome Hill and planning how we were going to climb it. We failed - http://members.iinet.net.au/~madhatter/050805.html
GZ was a few metres off but we soon had the cache in hand TNLNSL then a quick blat back to the car for lunch then back underground.

Made the mistake of approaching from the base of the cliff face and couldn't get a reliable satellite fix with my otherwise good Magellan eXplorist 600 GPS - As such couldnt tell if the cache was at the base or top of the cliff??
After wondering up and down for half an hour and attempting some rather dangerous cliff climbing, we finally got a good fix at the top of the cliff. Inspite of that, it still took the geowife and I some time to find the cache which was nearly 7 metres closer to the precarious edge of the cliff than my GPS pinpointed it to be.
Didn't have anything to leave however had to take the IQ puzzle, as the container was full and started to crack when I attempted to close the lid.

We were out at this cache site but could not access the red walking track to the cache. I believe recent storms in the area have forced the closure of the track.
Hopefully it will be open again soon.

The SWAG team were on their annual winter camp at Bungonia. I wanted to do this one last year but had a bad dose of food poisoning that layed me out. Couldn't even walk 10m. This year however was different.
A number of the boys had never been geocaching so we let them follow the magic arrow. However at GZ we made them wait on safe territory while I went out with one of their dads. He spotted it while I was following the GPS. My unit said it was about 12m out.
I had a bag full of goodies that the kids plundered and used to swap. The cache is now chockas with all sorts of goodness.
Thanks Chaos. Another cache that's up to your usual standard.

Sadly got beaten by this tough one. Time was against us and so was the weather a bit. It had rained a little and it was a bit slippery. I think if we had the suggested Caoura 25,000 (8928-3-N) it may have made things a bit easier. Hopefully will get another crack at this one sometime!!!

It was a wet and miserable day for caching but I was so close and couldn't let the opportunity pass. Got to the cache site (or so my GPSr said) rather late and hunted around in the late afternoon light and found nothing. Then realised I had left the print-out back at camp so couldn't use the hint. After about 20mins decided to call it quits. When I got back I decrypted the hint and thought that it probably wouldn't have helped. Perhaps a better day may help me, so I'll be back when I can. Just looking down the wall will be worth it again.
We were on our way back to Sydney after visiting my parents in the Southern Highlands, and decided to stop off and check out the cache.
I visited this area about 18 years ago to stick my head in one hole and come out another, so after travelling to the end of the wrong road, remembered the turnoff that we missed, backtracked and headded out the right way.
We got to a carpark within 400m of GZ after sunset, and about 20 minutes from complete dark. We dashed off with torch in hand and arrived at the top of a hill with an incredibly steep drop in front of us in the direction of the cache. The only track nearby headded off at 90 degrees to the left. At a guess, I'd say I was on the wrong side, so with the impending night, we decided to abandon the search and head back to the car, and the roos on the road.
Next time we head south, we'll come back to visit this spectacular place and try to remember to check a topo before headding out. We'll make sure we bring some daylight with us as well to fully enjoy this spectacular area.

After heading down the wrong road we returned to the main road intersection, re-read previous logs and headed the right way. What a hiding place!!! (See attached photo.) The last 100m deserved all of its 3 star rating. After exploring the nearby cave we worked our way around to the right then up and over. I think this route could've added a few more stars to the terrain, especially with the kids! Our experienced geo-kiddies managed to retrieve the cache with dad whilst I clung to the rock a few meters further back! Took water balloons, left scratchy. Thanks Team Chaos for an exciting cache in a breath taking location.
3rd for the day.

Cache nuber 42 of 45 for this trip.
Oh so close to this one again, and yet, no chance to get at it.
After finally locating the correct road to the cache, and driving the 28 Km out to it, i find that the park is closed so they can poison all the wildlife. and wont be opened until tomorrow. Whaaa i cant stay here that long!
oh well never mind maybe next year.

Found with some friends after a caving weekend. Great view and a good cache. Took the massager left a yoyo.
Found this with the SWAGers, the new not so high tech (and not triangular) cache is holding up well!!! The views are still great!
Great location, the views are excellent. Found this one with others from Team SWAG after spending the weekend caving.

What a great location for a cache!!!!!!
Unfortunately the high tech container is a shocker, it was literally full of water, the zip lock bag had about half a litre of water in it.
I have removed the old container and its water sodden contents and have replaced them with a new cache container and contents and new logbook.
It is in the same location, mind you, I am not convinced that the published coords are particularly close to the cache position.
I have salvaged the old logbook, it is currently sitting in the dessicator gradually drying out. I will forward it on to Team Chaos.
Cheers from

Oh well, next time.
Oh well, next time.
Well the LandieCrew had a clear but very windy winters day to vist the cache. We all enjoyed the walk and the lookouts[^].
On the day the co-ordinates were about 20 uphill from the cache.
The LandieMum found the cache, further confirming my belief that I I can't find anything the I should ask her.
Really enjoyed the views. Once the Landie kids grow up it will be nice to do the canyon walk. Swapped the keyring for a frog.

Wow what can I say. Certainly this cache has to be one of the most impressive I’ve done. Did the Mass Cave on the way, look out from the various lookouts around, and found the cache. As far as high tech is concerned, the cache box is missing one seal (although it’s still OK), and the log book needs repairs/replacing. Even Geokiddy MattS came along. Mind you by himself he’s OK, but with another I wouldn’t have trusted them around here.
Looked for two hours tryin to find this one. Thoroughly searched within 10-15m radius of target area... found a good place where it could have been, but alas we didn't find it. Please check that it's still there...
By the way, great views!
We really liked the Mass Cave!

No luck that day. It was a quick detour on a long journey. Wish we had had more time. Ah well.
What a fabulous day to look for a cache. Blue skies, warm temp and great views.
We parked at the main car park near one of the look outs and followed a trail that looked like it was going in the correct direction. 1 and half hours later we where at the bottom of the gorge looking up about 200 meters to where we should have been. opps but what a great detour. We even made a new friend on the way (see photo of the lyrebird) Eventually found the cache about 2 hours later. Lucky me and my caching buddy are not scared of heights.
We took the key ring and left a surfy chick riding a wave. (you need to see it to get the picture....)

This is a great place with lots to see and do and has a nice camping area. We spent the weekend caving and went to the cache on Sunday morning. However the cache is not for the faint hearted and DEFINITLY not for kids. There is a sign posted cave on the way to the cache so if you would like to visit it take a torch and have a look, they used to hold Sunday Mass here. The cache itself is not very waterproof and is on a route sometimes used by cavers. Note the area has a $6.00 entry fee and can be closed for feral animal eradication (next time is 27/8/2001 – 7/9/2001) so it pays to check before leaving home on (02) 4844 4277.
In case you are wondering, yes, this is a cache removed by the administator because of incorrect coordinates. I have used the chaotitron to locate the setters (bob.nareen.scott) and have full permission to revitalise the cache! So long White Mystery, hello The Wall!
