Hello!
We were also unable to find the cache today (third in a row after a long list of successful finds), as maintenance has been carried out on the track, it may be worth checking to see if it is still in position...could be we were just all out of caching luck today!!
Thanks

COs profile says they haven't been online since March 2013 so it appears unlikely this cache will be maintained.
Not happy with Hansen! My 2nd time here and can't find it! Bulldozer came though about a month ago so trackside is quite messy - has it been buried? Will watch logs and see ....
Wow, I'm really not a big fan of the band Hansen, and logged another DNF here. The tracks have recently been bulldozed and there's a lot of shifted dirt and debris. It's possible this cache has been buried. We had a good look around GZ and didn't find the cache.
Bit of a search trackside revealed this cache - hidden just enough to provide a fun hunt.
GPS was bouncing all over the place here but we used the hint and found a well hidden cache after a couple of minutes. TFTC

Walking in the woods, quick finds and almost no mugggles. That is exactly the geocaching I like. Thx
Continuing my walk and after a bit of searching found it. Think coords are 15m out approx . Hint assisted. Tftc
Found it. Gps was off by about 30 m. hint helped.Book is wet and needs replacing. Exchanged put travel bug in.
Nice hide! Our GPS wouldn't settle so the kids got a good search before finding it.
Liked the cache name, nice hiding spot too. Saw quite a few orchids along this track, what a lovely day to come here for a walk. TFTC
SanguineDragonflye and I teamed up for another productive day of caching today. We found 13 caches - lucky!
As we finished off this relatively straightforward cache, I suddenly had a 1990s hit song stuck in my head. For the rest of the day. Ah well, the price we sometimes pay for geocaching Cheers for the cache harlips!

I'd say the logbook needs replacing as it is quite damp and mouldy and starting to fall apart.
Found this some time back with TurnerFamilyFtg. Just catching up on my logs. TFTC
found by geo son aged 5 so he was very excited. As per other logs still a bit damp inside. Kids swapped some of their own "treasures" so hopefully these stay dry (as we made sure the lids was closed tightly)
I took the geowife on a lunch break stroll in the Dandenongs after a trip to Boronia. I approached the GZ from Bayview Cres and while was tempted to find more close(ish) by, limited today's finds to this one. tftc (as per prev log, the book and swaps are still damp )
Found in the company of quiet1_au. The container was open when we found it - why would the last finder not close it properly? Consequently, the log was damp and the swaps wet. TFTC
Taking a short cut to GZ we had a bit of a search ahead of us thanks to uncooperative satellites and tree-cover/hill interference, but eventually lochb located it for #3 of the day. TFTC

With the rest of the family off for the weekend, two WWFM X events seventeen hours apart, and a cool, fine afternoon forecast, conditions seem ripe for a nice hike in the hills... let's see how many caches I can string together.
A relatively easy find after completing the two companion caches to the west. Thanks for this trio of hides, harlips.

Easy cache this one. I think that it was better hidden at the start of its cache career
After taking my geo-princesses to primary school in Rowville, had the morning to stretch my legs. So headed for the hills. Today my Garmin is improved not only with OSM maps that show even the minor tracks, but also hi-res offline satellite imagery. So I could enjoy the fabulous surroundings without having to think too hard. Thanks for bringing me up here, harlips!
Recently, I was asked by an Outdoor Ed teacher at a university, to assist running a lesson one day teaching the students about geocaching. In order to do this, I had to think of the most suitable place to show students a variety of caches in a great area. Looking on the map, the Dandenongs seemed like the perfect place. Looking closer, I figured the best place would be this little pocket in Ferntree Gully National Park. Today I came out with Sandy to inspect the area and find the caches ourselves before we showed them to the uni students. This find was the 3rd of 6 for the afternoon.
The coords for this one seemed to be a bit out when we found this. Thankfully, the clue was quite useful and before long we had the nice hide in hand.
Thanks for another nice cache harlips
PS, sorry for such a late log (writing this on 26/8/13) but I guess its better late than never!

First one for the day; log needs replacing, very wet along with the contents of the cache and a possible crack in the lid.
Found at 10:59
A nice walk in the hills had me here today. Coords had me down the hill but cache soon found with the hint.
Log was signable, if wet but the bag was open so not to much of a surprise.
Thanks for the cache.

A very hot day in the hills with xambo4u, found the well hidden cache. Thanks harlips

Out on the tracks with the pushie today to find a few caches.
Once I reached GZ, it was a short search and the cache was found.
Signed log and I was on my way to the next.
Thanks to harlips for this cache and all the caching fun.

Another find on a wander around the hills after work today. It was a nice day for a walk and I was amazed at how many butterflies were around this area, very interesting. Log book is little bit damp and I was still able to put my stamp in there. Thanks.
Pretty walk with geocaching, what more could we want. Cache need a little TLC. TFTC.
After years of saying I should go for some short hikes in the Dandenongs, geocaching provided the push to make me go. Together with Crouching Cranes, we chose a circuit and collected 7 caches along the way. Saw a wallaby on the way to this one, so cute. Cache really needs to be cleaned out and new log book. TFTC.
Spent a few hours out with GeoStepDaughter and one of her friends finding some caches in the area. GeoStepDaughter grabbed this one. Cache is pretty wet and log book is difficult to sign.
Out on a hiking cache run today with geofriends. Just realised how unfit I am walking up all these hills. Had a great day though. Our last one for the day with our tired feet, now just a short 1km walk to the car. TFTC.
Today was cache day with my geobuddies to pick up ones of this series.. Weather was warm, but thnx to the trees, it was bearable! Last one, scratches everywhere, hot n sweaty..but it was all worth it!
TFTC!!
TFTC!!
This was my second visit to find this one. I was looking in the wrong place again so moved SW. The lid of container is cracked and letting moisture in. Thanks harlips.
Found it! I checked the previous logs to make sure it hadn't gone missing as the area was blackened by a controlled burn. Soon found it in it's hiding place. TFTC SL
The notebook is mouldy but all seems to have survived the burn off. May fix at the next visit.
Due to active controlled burnoff, we didn't think we could grab this, but managed OK.
I decided to visit the Dandenongs this afternoon to find this and some of the Meandering series. I parked at Bayview cresent and walked up Crete track, eventually making a loop around - 6 caches in all. Parking in this location meant there was not too much up hill walking.
Having a map loaded into the GPS was helpful, however I still walked cross country for a bit before realising that the cache was not too far from another track. The weather was warm but not hot so walking was OK. Once at Gz the cache was easily found. Thanks harlips

Thanks C@H for posting the correct co-ords. Logbook too wet and mouldy to sign, took photo of container at GZ to prove find. TFTC.
Took the geokids and geowife out for a lovely hike. There are tons of lovely trails here and with everyone hitting just the 1000 steps.. tons of lovely quiet trails! Thanks harlips for placing 3 caches all in a row, great hike, great caching. SL, TNLN, TFTC. The logs for this cache is wet, but sign-able.
Went for a walk after work to collect two caches I was intending to get last Friday. I didn't get this far as I slipped and sprained my wrist at mmm bop.
Quick find after a nice walk in the park.
A bit more hill to this one but at least its all down hill on the way home.

GPS was out but the hint lead me to it!!! Cache is very wet!! and needs maintenance. Not a bad walk although there was a few "creeks" across the trail!!
TFTC, enjoyed a very pleasant walk on a very pleasant day.
The cache is wet and mouldy tho, could bo with some TLC.

Hmmmm, geo trails, do I follow them - why not??? Cause the track loops around to the cache, that's why not
Quickest of the three. I think I know you're style by now. Thanks for bringing us here
After heading over to this side of town for a shot at some FTF's I wanted to grab some more caches in the area to get my numbers up closer to 3000. This cache was easy to find but the coords seemed to be out and it is in dire need of a new logbook.
Took a while but found it higher up on the slop than I expected. Had to leave in a hurry due to a storm out over the eastern suburbs that look like coming my way.
Found today with Irontoad. Quite easy find this time but we had decided to go caching late in the day to avoid the heat and I had to stop and rest on the way to this cache as it was suddenly very hot. It turned out that the hottest part of the day was exactly at the time that I was going to this cache from the My Old Roof cache. Ah well - them's the breaks. You win some and you lose some. This container while a good container seemed to have not been sealed completely. We tipped out the water and cleaned off the seals before rehiding it again. Took nothing and left nothing.
Thanks for the cache harlips

Approached this cache from a different direction from the other two along hansen track, enjoyed the walk to the three. Thank you harlips for bringing me to this area.

Decided to attack this one from the other end after a lunch stop in the Basin. More interesting clifside roads. I agree with the other logs as I had the GZ location almost on the roots of the fallen tree but cache much closer to the road. Must rememebr to use the barin rather than the GPS! TFTC SL
The weekend weather has finally started to improve so we fancied stretching our legs and getting out of breath by going over the top of Chandlers Hill then down to this one. Lovely view of the city in the distance from up there btw.
Cache found by smallest Hunter, after decoding the clue. Nice hiding place. Our GPS put GZ about 10 metres from the published coords. (Our version of the minutes is 51'.943, 18'.823). Some water had managed to get into the box so we drained it out. The log was not too damp to sign. TNLN TFTC!

Nice winter's day for a bush walk. Started the walk from the top of one tree hill and came down the easy way and went back the hard way. Nice. Good hide. 1/3 for the day.
Thanks for the cache, Took nothing and left nothing. Signed Log.

Found with Riker2335 at 14:50. My phone was flat, and Riker's was giving us accuracy concerns. After initially searching in the completely wrong area, used the clue and it was found. A nice (but tiring) walk on this glorious winters day. TNLNSL, TFTC.
Nice track, had troubles with my gps unfortunately (just a phone) and went really bush bashing. found it in the end though. Tnln tftc.
Spent the day in "them there hill" with my girlfriend Jo Jo; though she got a little shirt-y on our return journey with some of the hills along Chandlers Track. Found GZ though I think your co-ords might be off a little. this was noted by another in your log. Speaking of which we signed the last page and you need another log book. TFTC TNLN. Some great views along this track and thanks for sharing.

My Dad and daughter were pretty puffed by the time we had this cache and the thought of a coffee to reward us spurred us on. I liked this track though and think I may come running here soon.
The logs suggested this cache was also water logged so I went armed with a new snap lock bag. It was only the swaps that were wet. The log book was a little damp, but not too bad. I replaced the snap lock bag. It could still use a fix up however.
TFTC. SL. small swap made.

Have had the three caches along this track on my to do list for ages and today was the day to do them. Started with this one first. The day was very warm and humid so i didn't take long before sweat was beading on my forehead. Was happy to arrive at GZ for this cache as it was reasonably cool and shaded there. Had to search for about ten minutes and use the hint before finally locating the cache. Now onto the other two. Thanks harlips.
This is part of a great series, that I really enjoyed except this ones gz was about 12 metres away and had given up and was heading backing when I saw it. 12m may not sound like much of an error, but when you don't know which direction to head, suddenly means your looking through about 0.5acres. Contents damp but should dry fairly quickly.
Did not find. Walked all over GZ, flattened the knee high grass but no joy. Evidence of others searching in area (foot prints and flattened grass etc). Clue made no sense when I stood on top of GZ (hint would be appreciated). Spent 30 min searching and in the end walked away. Good fitness test though. TFTC but not sure if it is still there. [v]
