Quickly Found with SSRAT AND GOOSE,I love the old stories and sights of these towns, but clearly some stories are of struggles and sadness too. We are lucky to be able to travel around like we do. They were in Australia for a few days and planned a big trip to smash some smilies over a cpl states and about 4000 lga's !! Lots of laughs had and we didnt even kill each other after 4 days TFTC

A quick find with the boys as we headed north. The toolman tried to get us close, but we still had to get out of the 4x4.Thanks Team GraMonOur four day boys trip was an 1800km dash from Melbourne Airport into southern parts of NSW, caching in 19 different LGAs. After an overnight near Melbourne airport, the toolman picked us up and we were off. Overnight stops were in Deniliquin, Ariah Park and Albury with a small selection of caches in each LGA unless there some more exciting ones to make us hang around a bit longer. The toolman finally filled his D/T grid. Lots of laughs, lots of insults, a good number of caches, but not enough sleep! Thanks to all the COs that made the trip a fun adventure. Day 1 of our trip and this one was another quick find by us before adding our names and then replacing as found and then moving on to the next on the shortlist. This was a mainland trip from Tassie to do a couple of things, we wanted to grab a few LGAs and also the big item was to finish of the DT grid of 1Toolman.We landed late on Wednesday night and after a good night at the Melbourne Novotel Toolman picked up and drove us North for four days of caching before he brought us back on Sunday night, we had a great time with lots of caching and lots of laughs.Found on 24/10/2024 at 13:29:00 thanks to Team GraMon for placing this cache for me to find. dalerious and I were out and about before dawn this morning after enjoying the night with our friends Big Grin.

We had limited sleep but wanted to go out caching, and as we work Sunday afternoon our trip had to be close to home.
Euroa was picked, and as I had quite a few caches there to find and sign, I was happy with that choice.

All caches were found in good condition Cool.

We grabbed this one on the way back home. Was very impressed with the detailed cache page and the endeavours of the man himself Smile.

Thank you GraMon.

04-Dec-22
Still early in the day, this was the last for us on our way home found signed and returned in good condition while cat' and I were on an expedition of our own. Twisted

After a pre-dawn assault on Balmattum Hill, and watching the morning sun light up Euroa from it's summit, catnap777 and I came down into town for a bakery breakfast and a few more caches before the day really heated up. Cool

TFTC Team GraMon. There was some great research and referencing that has gone into this one. [^]

I’m having this week off as others at work had the Easter break off so it was my turn and another trip up North to Mildura was planned.
I left Melbourne nice and early on Friday to get a few caches in on the way up to Culgoa.
My main aim of the weekend at Mildura was to finish the Turtle series and to start the Paddle Steamer series so all good on those 2.
So after a great 3 days it was time to head back South to my next destination which was Boort as I had seen it on the map and had never been there.
I was not taking the most direct route as I wanted to drive through some old towns that are now only dots on the map and I want to take the back roads as well.
After a nice night in Boort and boy did it rain heavily overnight and I was quiet happy that I was in cabin for this stay.
I left nice early in the morning to keep tracking South.
Finally reaching my destination for the night which is Euroa, funny how a 215km trip can take nearly 7 hours.
I have come across quiet a few caches in my travels dedicated to Major Mitchell and here is another one.

Thanks Team GraMon TFTC.

A quick roadside stop at a monument and a cache found without even checking if one was there!

Brad&Janet are on a two week trip from Adelaide to the Victorian High Country. While this is not primarily a caching trip there are a few specific targets along the way. Including a potentially challenging unloved cache not visited for quite a few years.
Brad has ridden his bike through the area a couple of times while doing the Three Peaks Challenge, and is looking looking forward to exploring by 4WD this time.
On the way home the plan is to spend some days in and around Clunes so Janet and her sister can research a few of their ancestors who lived there in the mid 1800s. Brad may take the opportunity to visit the Ballarat Geotour while the research is happening.

A road trip up to Mulwala with day1976, we cached our way up. Had the kayak on the roof, for some water fun tomorrow.
As I am logging these caches a few months late, it get hard to remember them all!

06-Feb-21
Ilukaperi and I had decided on a road trip up to Mulwala. There is an empty family home there, which I needed to check on and so we strapped the kayak to the roof and loaded up some snacks and made our way there once she finished work. But on the way we stopped to grab quite a few caches that all help us with different challenges we are working on.

Another find for us. Thanks for placing and maintaining.

A fun trip with n0w0rries +Wife and the canines to Shepparton to celebrate 9 months to the next Mega event.

Our final smiley for the day as we took a slightly indirect route home... more of a Mitchell park-and-grab just before the run down the freeway.

I couldn't initially find the cache and as it was d1 should have being easy. Then I spotted a lid over there, a bit of swag over here and a tb over somewhere. Further hunting found the container in the paddock behind an electric fence. I found a ling stick and managed to retrieve it. I couldn't find a log book so have replaced with a new one and a cache note do all good to go again. Tftc

Visiting Echuca and surrounding areas from Pakenham. It was time to head back home. A beautiful day. I decided to head back home via Tocumwal and then back down through the hills.

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches. I usually cache on my own but sometimes I will collect my nephew stinky bob and my brother stinky tom who both enjoy this hobby.
A big thanks goes out to all the cachers and cache owners without whom this lifestyle would not be possible.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

Haha saw a nearby sign for Two Chain Road graffitied into Two Chainz Road after the rapper 2 Chainz. I usually hate wilful damage but that did make me giggle. Also giggled that the sign pointing to the historical marker here was bigger than the plaque itself. Nice cache notes; thanks. TFTC Smile
