Hi, whilst geocaching today we were approached by the local winery owners, they mentioned that they had found the cache and taken it as they were developing the area and that the cache could no longer be there. They gave us the cache, we will relaunch the cache in the area.
In the hunter for weekend and introducing my friends kids to geocaching..2 very excited kids!!
Up around the hunter valley this weekend to take in the sights and as a bit of a getaway, we had a couple of caches on the list that we planned to do which would also take us around the area to places we normally wouldn’t go to, a little muddy this evening on the way to the gz but enjoyed the hunt fav given thanks for the cache lilla07
geo hubby found it after a bellyful of yummy treats from the chocolate festival. TNLN thanks for the catch
Find # 2866
2:13 pm Wed 2 Jul 2014
Staying with friends at Fishing Point just south of Newcastle on Lake Macquarie.
Today we went for a bit of a drive into the Hunter Valley to get a few kms up on Terry's new car, and to try out some of the interesting features such as adaptive cruise control.
During the day I clocked up 6 finds, this being the 3rd of them.
A pleasant walk through the bush from the car park quickly lead to an easily found cache.
It was in good condition and well hidden.
Thanks for placing this cache lilla07

While attending a car Rally, we parked right near GZ - This was one of those finds that you just walk in and the track seems to take you straight to the hide. Great little spot - thanks for the diversion lilla07 - There were a bunch of P76 owners nearby but playing at 'nature lover' and taking photos seemed to do the trick.... no-one suspected a thing.

Attempted from the McDonalds Rd side, but no real luck there. Did see a few kangaroos though.
Re-entered from the Hunter Valley Gardens side, much more luck this way. Had to bush bash through light bush for a short period before finding the actual cache without too much trouble.
Coordinates felt about 10 metres off, but that might just be the iPhone.
Another great Vineyards find with SN, PL and Naty Perry.
Thanks for the cache!

Up in the Hunter for the Easter weekend with the family. I'm the designated driver today, so left them at McGuigan's for wine tasting while I went for a walk to grab this one. Nice easy find amongst good camo. TFTC!

Found at 12:57pm. My second find in the HVG. I must admit being reluctant to walk through the trees to retrieve the cache after coming across a black snake earlier just a couple hundred metres away.
Anyway, I swallowed a concrete pill and got through to GZ with no drama's, made the find and signed log.

This cache is near some great gardens that we enjoyed and the Christmas lights were spectacular!!! We found a golf ball while trekking towards the cache (some 500 metres) and so we put it into the cache. It was a great hide at a wonderful place. PS. We second watching out for spiders!! We found one as big as the palm of my hand that we had a close call with!!!
Today we went in the huntet valley and made our first stop at the gardens. We made this cache. Found a way around the fence. A quick pick. Thanks for hidding. Greatings from Germany. Loves JaKa

great little cache at the gardens. after a nice little walk and a quick sight of the obvious hiding spot we found the cache with little difficulty
Easy find, here for weekend. The HVG have matured since last time we were here.
Wrote in the logbook with a very faint brown pencil, I hope it's visible enough.

Found with paulyman while visiting the Hunter Valley this weekend. It's good to get a walk in before indulging in all the cheese and wine! TFTC
Quick find with snorris. The area around GZ was very quiet today, but I've been at New Years and it would be a different story trying to find the cache then. Thanks.

After getting Lets Go Aqua Golf walked over to look for this one. Was found easy as I saw it 10 meters away as I walked towards it.
After signing log noticed that there was no TB's in the cache the log says there should be 2 there.
Thanks for the cache lilla07

I sent my sister off to find this one. She was gone for a while bit before long she returned. Log signed and cache replaced back amongst the vines. From all reports it was a good hide. Cheers
Geokid8 and I went searching for some quick caches while the rest of the family went to the playground. We walked into the bush, and on approach to GZ I saw the likely spot. I let GK8 catch up (he was busy playing with a stick), and let him make the find too, not hard as I had removed the camo. Took the TB, signed the log, then replaced the container and its camo. TFTC
Quick find whilst doing all the other caches at the Gardens area. Signed log, left a penny. TFTC.
Garden ???
We found this after a meet and greet event nearby.
As we approached the GZ and were looking for the best track into the bush we saw a Big GRUB and headed over to were it was standing.
The GRUB had the cache out and was signing the log so we didn't even have to look for it.
We signed it quickly and put it back in as we knew that there would be lots more people looking for it today
THANKS for the "FIND" lilla07

Geocache #493.
Found on Sunday, 25th August 2013 at 1:00 PM.
Conditions: sunny.
Current streak #25 days.
Today's finds 7 of 16.
My 392nd find for The Great Scouts Australia Geocaching Competition 2013.
Day twenty five of the 31 Days of Geocaching in the month of August and I headed out to claim another daily souvenir to keep #31in31 streak alive.
I headed up from Sydney to the Hunter Valley for the day to attend the Caching Among The Vines Meet & Greet Geocaching Event. Towards the end of the event, I snuck over to this cache for a quick find. I retrieved the Signal Travel Tag (TB4QTOC). On the way back I returned to the Lets Go Aqua Golf cache, which is within walking distance, to check on mancacher and his geoson, OxfordMasterCacher, who were having some difficulty with their dead GPS battery and so I offered a helping hand. TFTC TeamSenz.

At the Vines event, SDMT and DJ and I went for a walk for this cache, only to spring Grub Fred already at the cache. So we didn't have to search at all. TNLNSL TFTC

It was an easy found, however I am not sure if it should be there. The cache is actually in private property, not sure if the CO has spoken with the property owner though.
Approached cautiously given the description said watch for webs and their whoppers! But didn't see anything too scary thankfully! A nice easy find in the end. Didn't see any TB in there though. Tftc!
