As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, or it's been a number of months since the last owner note. I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it. Should you replace the cache after 30 days has passed please create a new cache listing so it can be reviewed as a new cache.

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every month or so to keep everyone up to date.

WP1,WP2 and GZ are all missing. I checked 1 and 2 with bikerbuddy, The logs indicate GZ is gone.

Quite a frustrating search ending in no result. Being the 4th DNF in a row for this cache perhaps this one needs to be checked as there is some litter in the area suggesting there has been some Muggles wreaking havoc within area.

I looked for this cache today with a previous finder, Canary. We failed to find either of the two waypoints, despite a long look. May need checking

Jubilant after finding "The Caves" further up the river I came back to this one, found a place to cross, and quickly grabbed WP1... nice spot! This is where my luck failed however, as I had no luck like the others recently of getting WP2 Sad I found a few interesting objects but couldn't see co-ords on any off them, on either side of the creek. On the way out however after a good hunt near the weir I spotted a few likely spots like the others had and eventually has able to find the required handholds to carefully climb up to a slippery sloping ledge. Carefully slidding and Peeking both left and then right I could see nothing resembling a cache and being alone and having only had a shoulder reconstruction a month ago didnt want to push my luck checking the stupid dangerous places. I had to admit defeat and return to the ute... but still glowing after my troglodyte success earlier!

Another place in the Hawkesbury I never knew existed! Thanks!
I too struggled to find WP2, but thanks to the clue for WP3 I found it fairly easily, only a few spots it could be.
TNLN. Thanks for bringing me to another interesting little spot

En route to Kurrajong Caves from the pretty McMahons reserve we had sought the waypoints for this cache. WP1 was easy however WP2 gave us a real run-around. Searched and searched, read the clue & logs a number of times, searched & searched some more. We became fixated on one particular object but nothing of interest revealed itself. Oh well. We decided to give up for a while and go in search of the other cache further up the creek and to have another go at this on the way back. Which we did but again to no avail. However the clue and a previous log gave us hope of locating the cache regardless. On our way back to the car we found a likely looking area and in a very short time we had the cache located. Excellent!

It’s a nice area and the creek is quite pretty. Also it’s an easy little stroll from the delightful McMahons reserve. Only a few leeches encountered today, however the Bushman dealt with them appropriately. Made no swaps. Good cache.

Found WP1 & WP3.

GPS said WP2 was in the middle of the creek & I didn't feel like going for a swim...

Got lucky with this one!?!

Left McMahon's Park, crossed the stream, saw the obvious spot for WP1 recrossed the creek and got it.

Now back to the crossing point. After looking for a good while, we were about to give up when I spot something not right from above. Good hide!

WP3 on the way back to the car and lunchtime, we decide to give up on "Kurrajong Caves". After reaching GZ, the 9 year old says I'll get this and up he goes!

Originally, I planned to walk around to the Caves after doing this one, but, decided against that after the time I spent doing this one and wanting lunch got the better of me.

Arrived at WP1, hmmm, wrong side of the creek dammit. I see where it will be, swap sides, easy find, oh, I passed WP2, ok, did not take too long to find, well done with this WP.

Walking to WP3 when a voice rings out, you geocaching? Hmmm, sprung! A quick confab and Rainbow Spirit decides to join me on my side of the creek. I arrived at WP3 and it was an easy find.

Took the TB.

A really nice weir and walk, and was good to meet up with Rainbow once again.

Cheers

After I parked at McMahons, it was a short walk down to the creek, which I crossed, only to have to recross to get to wpt1.
Back across again to wpt2, and what a clever hide!
I then broke the cache hunt to try for Kurrajong Caves cache in between the wpt hunts. After a DNF at KC, I was ambling down the east side of the creek in search of the final cache, when I spied a likely cacher on the opposite bank, none other than Webguy, who was after the final cache site as well, only he was on the correct side of the creek, so it was off with the shoes for ANOTHER crossing. By the time I got my shoes back on Webby seemed to have disappeared, only to appear above me on a ledge, "yeah it's up here" So we completed the signing duties, and he gave me a big hint on a failed earlier cache that day, thanks Webby....All in all I crossed Little Wheeney Crk eight times that day! Just as well the water was low!
Thanks for a great cache hunt, TNLNSL.

Found it. Beware of the cows. There were lots when i was there all over the trail, some had calves. Also mozzies to bring insect repelent. Nice cache peaceful spot. The coordinates were off though but used the clues. I know the area well down there so it wasnt too hard.

Tricky, WP2 wasn't there and WP3 was way off. We used the clues to work out where it was.
Took Geocoin, left Garfield

What a great fun cache, loved it. One could waffle on for pages about the juxtaposition of waypoints in relationship to their surroundings which was very imaginative. The way the ferns reflected over the still creek water. The shear affection of the leaches who wiggle right between your toes before drawing blood.
But as I don’t get paid by the word lets just say it was a fun cache.

hey im gunna fix this one up and make sure i got it set up 2 be a multi sorry guys this was a traditional and i will more than likely move gz so ropes and ruff as gutts can reattempt

Hmmm this one is perplexing, Can't quite work out where the multi-cache part came in, got to GZ and loved the spot, there was a couple of Yellow tailed Black cocky's chomping away at some privot nearby, searching for grubs I guess. Thinking that I was looking for a multi I spent quite some time looking for something smaller but when that didn't show itself I went back and checked the Pocket PC, Oh OK had a look in the first place I thought it would be and had instant success, loved the light challenge to get to it as well, I didn't expect an FTF on this one so was not surprised to see another "locals" Log there, actually it could have been two logs now I think about it, not sure. I took the TB to move it on as well Thanks for bringing us here Sparkadurry the geo pooch enjoyed a dip while the log was done Nice cache the best I did today!CoolCoolCool

20-May-08
