Thanks derf10 for the history and the cache. Log book a bit damp. Left a small trinket.
We found it very quickly. First we thought the box were on a higher level. We are happy that we could reich the container without anything climibing. Thank you for the cache. Karen and Thomas
I was camping for the long weekend at Durras and I decided to grab a few caches I would not normally be able to get. After a kilometer walk we got to the GZ and the search was on. My whole family was searching for the cache and it proved to be quite a challenge. But in the end my little brother found he cache. We walked off happy and with a few mozie bites.
Suscoe's 11th find of the day on our final caching run in the Bateman's Bay area.
A cloudy sky and a cooler day accompanied us.
Finally the right spot was looked at and the cache found.
Thanks to derf10 for placing this cache.

Visiting the area for a short family holiday. I started my search and then the nearby business owner came out and was tinkering with his ute. I ceased my search and went over and looked at some flowers in the nearby garden. The business owner then said to me that the cache is still there somewhere. Knowing that he wasn't a muggle I then continued my search and he went back inside. I was soon signing the log. Thanks derf10.
Found with the family whilst on holiday. The Ss Me_to Charli_bear. TYFC. Nice location.
Haben uns zu viel Arbeit gemacht und auf allen Ebenen gesucht.

Another slice of history known only to cachers (& very keen historian muggles). Many hint items were examined before the correct one was found. Thanks derf10.

Based near Tomakin for a few days, we had the opportunity to seek out a few caches in this fascinating coastal area. It is always good to find caches after reading of the interesting local history in the cache notes. The satellites today had our GZ 9M north east of where we found the cache, which was a little damp hopefully only because the lid was not quite secure.
Thanks to derf10 for the hunt.

I enjoyed reading your story and connection to this place. Easy find although I am sure I was spotted by lady putting out rubbish next door. You may want to check on the container as looking a little mouldy and damp.
With only a few empty cars parked nearby I had a clear look for this one and just had to reach out to remove some camo to find it. I took the TB and left another TB. Thanks for the hide.

Travelling with relatives from France, so don't be surprised if you see logs in French. The trip from Canberra to the coast and back took a long time with all the stops for the caches...Is this the new trend "Geocaching Travel"?

We started our extended weekend trip from Cherrybrook. Our first stop was at Lake Illawarra. After, we made our way to beautiful Jervis Bay. Here I was surprised with a beautiful whale watching cruise where we saw many dolphins and seals.
After watching the amazing marine life, we continued our way to Batemans Bay where we stopped at many beaches and many nice locations.
The highlight of our tour was waiting for us in Durras where we got to cuddle with tame wild kangaroos. An amazing experience.
Here we also found a cache.
Thank you

Nice location and history. Unforunately the container an log got wet and will need some TLC. Tftc
Last grab of the day (#14) travelling from albury to batemans bay. Tftc.
Four months later, Donnazev and I go for another look and lo and behold....there's a cache. Turns out our GPS units were putting us 7-8 metres away and once we widened the search found the cache. We weren't however as sneaky as we would have liked as the local "business muggle" came out and asked if we were "orienteering looking for the tin".
After a brief chat about caching, it turned out that they are aware of the cache being there (and are happy enough for it to stay), but would really appreciate that finders PLEASE replace the rocks they move and not just throw them onto the lawn. He said that they are often having to come out and put the rocks back into the garden.
Derf10, if you're able to - it might be worth updating the cache description to ensure that future finders are a little more careful when looking for the cache.
TFTC. It was good to put this one to bed.

4 months to the date, Genghicat & I decided to give this another go.
This time we widened our search & were successful in our attempts. GPS was off by about 7 metres.
Yayy we can finally add this to our finds. TFTC

Great Cache we are locals and never knew that this was an old school yard THANKS for giving us some information
Had parked the car nearby when we went in search of breakfast so picked up before getting back on our way towards Canberra. Took a while to locate.
When we left the car, the ladies from the café were tidying outside, so we gave the cache a miss. On the way back to the car, we had a go at finding it. It was not a quick find but we got there in the end.
We decided to travel from Canberra back to Melbourne via the scenic coastal route. We stopped in Batemans Bay for lunch and a bit of a look around and passed this cache on our way back to the Princes Highway.
There were a few muggles further down the road but nobody near GZ. We searched a couple of spots without success so we widened our search area. We soon found the well-hidden cache behind something looser than the rest. We signed the log at 2:05 pm and then returned the cache to its hiding spot. TNLN.
Thanks derf10 for the good hide and, for we out-of-towners, the interesting history of the area and the old school that was located here. Also, thanks for the warning re pelicans on light poles. We looked out and up and took a photo of one having a nap.

A quick find during a walk through town after setting up camp across the river.
We were bombarded by mozzies here, so be aware.
Thanks derf10.

Off we go again on another fun filled geomission with Rapidlywild and the two ladies of the FurfacesLL This time we decided to target Batemans Bay to Tuross and surrounds as none of us had yet to make any finds at these locations. Luckily for us the rain eased mid morning so that meant the rest of the day was reasonably dry-good for caching!. An 8am start and 3am finish meant we were all geobuggered, but as always we had lots of laughs and a great day was had by all
Wow this one really had us going here! All of us looked where the cache is-and then RW rechecked again! Ahaaaa! The cache! Pays to investigate further!
Thanks for yet another, Derf10

A geomission was planned with Rapidlywild and specimenX and as no one in the group had collected any smileys down the coast the location was decided. The week of wet weather threatened for the mission to be cancelled, however the rain eased and the mission was going ahead. We awoke to overcast skies and headed off down the highway ready for a big adventure and big day, some of the group with sleepy eyes. Thanks again ladies for great day and lots of laughs we are looking forward to our next one.
We all looked at the hidey hole but didn't see anything. Rapidlywild returned to the spot and found the hide, maybe four sets of eyes is not efficient all of the time! TFTC

The weekend was here, and there was a location that had not been violated by myself, specimenX and the FurfacesLL ladies, so the location was revealed and we were off to the coast and surrounds. The sky was not in our favor all week and it was touch and go, but the final call was made Friday night and we were all go for an early morning Saturday for a wet coast expedition. There was a lot of laughter, a lot of experiences that I had never had before, a lot of blonde moments and a lot of caches found. What a wonderful day we had over a period of 18+ hours, many many km's and seen lots of the coast
We overlooked this one probably 3 times before we actually found it LOL
Thanks for the find Derf10
