We parked on Scarborough Avenue to get in a bit of a walk to the cache, a very nice walk exploring all the different tracks in this reserve. The cache was a quick find, which makes our map all yellow in this reserve, provided there arent any more mysteries hiding here that havent been solved yet. Thanks for the cache Tasnucks!
TFTC! There was a mini first aid kit in the cache which I thought was a very nice touch.
Found this one today whilst out walking the geopup.Logbook is very wet and requires replacing along with cache container.Have messaged CO to this effect. TFTC from the inspectorrexteam.
This was a quick find on a big walk with the house sit hound. Unfortunately the lid is completely broken and wasnt even on the cache. The box was full of water and the log book saturated. Cache really is in a bit of a mess. Tried to tidy up as best we could. TFTC nice to get an older cache
On a walk with a client today, collecting some caches along the way. Quick enough find at GZ. The container is in poor shape, the lid is badly damaged, and quite a bit of water was inside it I tipped the water out, and replaced the cache in such a way that will hopefully keep most of the water outTFTC
Found 5:05pm. Cache nice and dry and I'm happy to see I am the first cacher to find this cache in 2021. Well worth the extra walk after the letterbox cache. I had a nice time bumping into a guy riding around the tracks on his mobility scooter with his dog who said he always used to run around here when he was younger and still enjoys the reserve on fine days. Photo of the logbook with my mark.
The Peter Murrel Conservation Park is new to me. There are many designated tracks. I also found that there were very few B*stard Bushes making for no scratching itchy skin Plenty of birds and the odd wallaby were sighted.
This cache was a quick find and it's log was signed at 11:00 on Monday 19 July 2021.
All is in great order in the cache

Decided to head out for a jog and couldn't pass up the opportunity to discover a few caches. Never enough caches in this Reserve. Great to explore the different trails. GPS sent me the wrong way, but managed to find and left with nice charcoal covered hands. Thanks
Well its Thursday lunchtime and a little trip to Peter Murrell Conservation Area was in order for today. No wind and a mild sunny day allowed me to log Postman Pete, Aragon Lives On and then wander almost a kilometre to this neatly hidden cache. Thanks Tasnucks all good with the hide at GZ plenty of swaps still for the kids and all dry. The fire trails were at times difficult to navigate however it is only light vegetation at the best of times by the looks of it. The fields of green and gold were on display. Thanks again for allowing me to go where I have never ventured and enjoyed it thoroughly.
the third cache for the day, warm in car, slightly hot walking up hills. TFTC TNLN log dry, nice hide and find.
Loved this one! Stocked with some great goodies for the kids (but alas, my son didn't come with me today!) signed the log book, no swaps. Thanks for the great find!
Found it last w/end but didn't log properly with phone app. Thankyou for the geocache.
Enjoyable walk, burning up a few calories from Christmas Day feasting.

Myself and Goose were on a mission to Peter Murrell reserve today to get all those caches we have been overlooking for a bit now, we walked all round the area with some good finds along the way.
Now we headed back to the car and drove to where we were thinking would be the closest point, well it was still a bit of a walk but well worth it and the cache was soon found and we added our names to the log before replacing as found.

After completing all the other caches in the reserve (except for one that is clearly missing) we arrived back at the car, down on Howden Road. Perhaps we should have walked from here but we hoped to find a closer spot. Maybe where we ended up was marginally shorter but there wouldn't have been much in it. We parked on Brightrwater road and walked down from there, of course that meant walking UP back to the car.
Just about every house on the way down had activity, mostly gardening but a few grooming horses. Some waved hello but others were too absorbed in their business. We turned off onto McVilly Fire Trail and soon spotted GZ. We made our find and signed the log quickly and decided to stay inside the tree line for part of the way back to avoid looking suspicious by our sudden turnaround.
Thanks Tasnucks for the cache, enjoyable walk, and great views

We drove around for a little while trying to determine the best parking area and then walk to the cache. Eventually we were satisfied with the closest parking point and off we went on a slight downward walk, nice going there, but the return we realised that it had been actually an all downward hill. The cache was found in great condition in a great location. Log was signed and returned as found. We decided it was a great cache to leave a TB, hopefully someone will come soon to pick it up.

The GeoGSP and I were geocaching nearby this afternoon and found we had enough time to revisit this cache on our return home. Thanks so much for replacing this cache Tasnucks. We approached from a different track this afternoon so another of the many tracks in this reserve has now been exlored. Lovely to see a well stocked cache today and to add our signature to the log, all is well with the cache.
Our first ever Christmas cache. A nice walk to help burn off some of the additional calories consumed today. Quick easy find at GZ. Kids loved looking through the goodies! TFTC.
This burnt out old stump appears to have been subjected to another 'toasting'. No sign of cache, evidence of burnt contents.
Unfortunately 'Fields of Gold' is now 'Fields of Black'! At some stage a fire has come through this area and GZ is a charred black stump. I searched around the stump looking for evidence of the cache and found what I think are the melted remains of the cache with some charred coins. Photos attached.
Hi Tasnucks, thanks for the cache. We walked in from the Howden Rd / Pony Club entrance car park, a nice easy 15 min stroll along as easy boundary trail. Completely muggle free here today, apart from all the horse floats that were exiting, on arrival. Thanks for bringing us here. TNLNSL.

Found it while walking the dog, it was quite a long walk to get there from where I started but it was very nice. This is also my first cache find!
Travelling around Australia and spending a few months in Tasmania.
Our last day in Snug so we set about collecting some smilies before we move tomorrow.
No rain but the wind was a bit cool. [^]
Mr Felix made a bit of a circuitous walk here picking up 3 caches for his efforts.

Found it on 19/9/2015 with my sister and puppy! Our first cache and definitely not our last!
A beautiful walk on a sunny August day. Probably a bit of a hike from the Huntingfield side of the reserve with young children.
A lovely place to come.

The field was greenish today but I'm sure it is very pretty in Spring.
People walking dogs and mountain bikers were also enjoying the Peter Murrel reserve when we arrived so stealth mode was activated and the cache quickly found. The log and contents are now quite dry.
Thank you for this cache Tasnucks.

Nice easy find. Parked near the Peter Murrell Reserve sign on Brightwater Road and took the track. About a 1.5km return trip. Contents are damp and need to be dried out and replaced. Tftc
Inside of cache including the log book is damp and needs drying out. Great cache, but description should specify that it cannot be accessed from Sprint Court as it doesn't exist and is private property, so that people do not waste time with false starts and run out of time/interest.
Merry Christmas! Spring Court on the map does not exist and is private property. You cannot access the cache that way. I parked at -43.008706, 147.309053 (googlemaps.com.au) which is accessed from Burwood Dr, -43.007382, 147.310490. I walked from there, bird watching along the way. Cache was an easy find. Damp inside, and took a lot to get the pen working, but eventually managed to sign the log. Lovely walk and lovely spot! And fun exploring the labyrinth of tracks along the way. Under visited cache for those who love the bush. It would a good one to do on a mountain bike (assuming they are allowed in the reserve? CHECK!). Took a long delayed trackable. TFTC

Nice walk in a hot, sunny day. Kids were on to this one pretty quickly. TFTC. Did a GC swap.
Nice easy find... After discovering what seems the easiest place to approach from doesn't exist!! TFTC
I thought this cache would be easily accessed via Spring Court, however Spring Court appears to have sprung and no longer exists (or never did in the first place). Access was gained from Brightwater Road. The walk down was deceptive - I didn't notice the steady slope until the walk back again. On the way a lovely old lady waved to us from one of the houses backing on to the fire trail, so we gave her a big wave back.
It was an enjoyable walk with heaps of flowers out. When the log book was opened we discovered that Wilco and cinmi16 had been there earlier that day; must not have missed them by much, unless they were very early starters. TFTC Tasnucks

Two visits quite close together were needed to get the caches in this reserve, mainly because of time constraints. On the first occasion (25 Sept) we located one cache but mucked up on another. This was rectified on the latest trip which was on a quite warm day when we left the car near the dam and walked to the southern end. In a straight line between caches it was just under 2k but by track some 2.5k, plus of course the return walk.

Bit of a walk from where we parked (Blackmans Bay road to Howden), but a nice one past the animals and with a lovely view over the Bay. Container no longer painted.
Dropped off yellow turtle TB - it's cold here he says, under snowy Mt Wellington
Parked at S43.00.879 E147.18.020 and followed the track to the fields had to keep walking past the cache as a trail bike was honing around when he left I went back for an easy find.

Quick find whilst walking amongst the flowers in the Peter Murrell Reserve. Thanks. TNLN.
We tried parking at S43.00.879 E147.18.020 but couldn't find any access to the reserve from here so we parked at S43.00.525 E147.18.537. We had a very pleasant walk in on the nature trails. Luckily we had a pen with us because there was no writing implement in the cache. Unfortunately we didn't have a pen we could donate. We took the long, long way back to the car. Loved the area. TFTC
Found today, our fourth find for the day whilst bush walking with the kids. TNLN, TFTC
We were wanting to have a look around this area, so were glad that we could log a cache while we were at it! We had a pleasant stroll past some horse riders who were practicing dressage. While heading down to GZ we even come across two other peices of treasure along the way. (set up for a bike rider's treasure hunt) There were a few small flowers that had bloomed in the area, as well as a gorgeous tiny pink orchid which we later identified as the 'Autumn Orchid' (Eriochilus cucullatus). Unfortunately we only had our phones to take photos with. TFTC!
It was a pleasant walk through a section of the reserve to get to GZ. Although the reserve is recognised for the diversity of flora, there was little evidence today - guess that spring would be a better time. Once near GZ a quick find was made although given the warning about snakes and knowing from family that snakes had been seen in the area in the last couple of days, we were quite apprehesive as we searched at GZ. Thankfully no "joe blakes" near GZ around the time of our visit. TFTC Tasnucks
