We were in the area for some belated b'day celebrations & just had to find a cache or two... We were nearly at our lunch destination when I spotted this one on the GPS so we made a bit of a detour
Parking at the closest point Master 8 spotted a stump & ran over to look for a cache! Low & behold there was one there, but we had already found that one years ago lol Not sure why we didn't track this one down at the time, but after informing Master 8 it was not the cache we were looking for, we headed bush in the direction of this one [^]
Since this one was last found there has been a fire through, but we held onto hope that the cache would still be there to find... Turns out it was still there but the ammo box is now a rusty old tin. It took some work to get the thing opened & surprisingly we could still see some names in the blackened logbook
TFTC Mischief's Crew [^] We added a new log book in case any others come to look for this one, cheers!

Out and about with Barnzy12, catching up on logging from the last 2 weeks. Either as i didn't have reception on phone to load up a cache or didn't have an archived saved list. TFTH TFTC
Had some spare time today so decided to tackle some archived caches and came up trumps on a fair few of them.
Nice easy find here of the ammo gin still in good condition

In the area chasing an unsuccessful FTF, this one was nearby. I had seen it before while doing the 'Cascades' series and thought to myself that I couldn't let it go again so made the plunge and did the 200 odd meter bush bash to GZ.
Half way there I heard a loud rustling sound in the bushes thinking that it may have been one of our slithering friends but was glad to spot a very large kangaroo bounding away. Pushed on towards the cache and made a quick find of the ammo can.

This one has been on the radar for quite some time now. We had originally planned to grab it as our 1000th find but we had a slight miscalculation and never got here. Today was the day for us and after a bit of a bush bash I was able to sign the log. Unfortunately there is not too much Kiwiana left in the box so I left one of our signature silver fern tags in for the next finder . TFTC Mischiefs Crew

Compass doesn't work well in the hills. Wildflowers in this area are interesting. No direct path into this location but undergrowth isn't too bad.
Great bush cache! The flowers are beautiful at the moment! Good size! TFTC Mischief's Crew!
Today was our large day. That is we set out this afternoon to find 5 large caches.
This number 4 of our large cache hunt today. We could not see any real tracks from the road so we the car GPSr said 200m and the scrub did not look that heavy we parked and made a straight line for it. The find was easy enough and we soon signed the log before re hiding. On the way back the rain opened up and we got soaked before getting back to the car to crank up the heater to dry off. TFTC.

[:(!] On a sunny Sunday afternoon went for a five hour caching run and this was one of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ and after a couple of minutes the cache was in hand.

6908 + 844 = 7752. In the West again for work with a couple of days free for Caching ! Today I (mainly) completed the Wandoo Series...
After finishing the Wandoo Series I started driving back to Freo via a few more caches ! This one hadn't had a visitor for a while so despite the wet I wandered up and quickly made the find.
Thanks Mischief's Crew !!

lovely piece of bush. we couldn't seem to find a path as such, so there was a couple of hundred metres of bush bashing, but nothing too onerous. an easy find once at GZ. TFTC!
A nice walk in the bush this afternoon, pleasant trail and very nice cache filled with goodies.
I had a good look and read, very interesting. All in all a very pleasant experience for an afternoon.

Surprised how popular this one was. Nice to read a log by a newbie to geocaching. Adventurous trek through the bush. TFTC
Good fun. 1st time out Jo Blake & I enjoyed ourselves. Nice bush land close to home. Looking forward to next outing.
While in the area with AmstradKid we decided to Scout this one out. No one can call us far weather cachers after today, as the rain was persistent all morning. Arriving at the parking spot we knew we were going to get even wetter when we saw the bush, ah it's an adventure. The hardest part of this cache was trying to find a track in so the bush would soak us more. The cache was easily found in a nice bush setting, I love these types of hides. As always it is nice to see an ammo box. SL TFTC Mischief's Crew
Out with Keego on a wet morning. Ended up getting soaked by the bush rather than the rain as we did not find any defined path to the cache. Loved it anyway.

You've picked a really nice spot for this cache. The views around the area are great and the patch of bush is untouched. Very hardcore bike ride to get there, though. Especially with the little fella in tow! Love the cache, but stupidly forgot to take my stash with me to do a swap. Not happy about that... TFTH TNLN
Bit of a trek through the bush and phone gps playing up a bit but finally found it. Good hiding spot, Good size cache, with some good swaps for the younger kids in there. Kids were excited to see trackable in there so took to move on. TFTH!
The weather cleared this arvo and was a perfect day for caching.
Headed out here with geokids and froggy1948, was found easily and kids made some swaps. We left for the next one with geokids enjoying the adventure in the bush.

Nice little walk through the bush on a pleasantly warm afternoon. Heard some kangaroos and saw one flit through the bush. Found the cache with ease. Took nothing. Left NZ 30c and the "Trackable Adventure Guide" TB. TFTH

This really is a lovely bit of bush and it's not showing signs of our long very dry summer.
WanderingAus wandered by, heading towards GC1RGF9 Never Too Old by AusTrackers under the direction of TomTom, and found myself stopped by a gate at the end of Wymond Road. TomTom wanted me to turn right onto Old Albany Lane, but the gate looked like one of those National Park access gates, securely locked, so I decided I would ride my bike the 2.2 Km remaining to Never Too Old. After ten minutes of preparation and bike loading I headed around the gate and up the hill. I hadn't gone far when I observed a rather large house on another road, and looking at the map on the gpsr realised that road (Heritage Drive) was heading my way and was obviously a public road.
I turned around and headed back down the hill, and noticed GC2ERHW Eclipseae mintalis by AusTrackers off to the side. I'd previously decided that was not a cache I wanted to hunt, having made my preference for cabin trunks, tea chests and similar sized caches in the bush where they would fit known widely. I actually went past the access track, returned the bike to the bike rack on the geoPajero, put the gpsrs back in their mounts, and started the engine, before deciding, since I was so close, "I might as well hunt that one anyway".
It didn't take long for me to hunt that one down, then I was on my way towards Never Too Old once more. I'd noticed GC2FR74 Cayden's Cache by mackerals as well as GC293WB Roley Pool by AlliedOz / The Jokers and it's parking waypoint pop up when I went past, and had decided to hunt them down on my return (reserving the cooler morning hours for what I expected to be a long ride to Never Too Old. As I wouldn't be going past again I decided they needed hunting before leaving the area.
After successfully hunting down Cayden's Cache and Roley Pool I asked TomTom to take me to Heritage Drive/Croydon Road, and from there to Never Too Old, and it finally got me to the parking point for Never Too Old. As I bush-bashed towards the cache I noticed the track heading in the right direction, and realised I could probably have driven to within 30 metres of GZ. That would have been really annoying if I'd ridden that 2.2 Km, with another 2.2Km to get back to the geoPajero.
After all that drama I decided it was time to head further out along the Brookton Highway and "see what pops up". This was the first cache to pop up, so after TomTom got me close I bush-bashed in for another extremely quick and easy GAFF 0 find.
My find No 3486, LCC, TNLNSL, dropped Old Woody TB (ref = TB7BA3), also dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC and my WanderingAus GeoMobile TB in for a visit before grabbing them back again.

Found a good parking spot and then on into the bush. Not much chance of Muggles in this area. Geodogs went ahead and straight to the cache, must have picked up another dogs scent, or are they learning the art of geocaching? TN L TBStonehenge. TFTF

Great cache. Loved the bush bashing though wary of snakes. Biggest box found so far.
We are from California and are here to visit our daughter who lives in the Beeliar area. Had a nice ride out past Armadale today and found three caches. Thanks for this one
Another lovely bush walk to an easy find of a well stocked cache. Took ball and left stuffed toys and Lexidh's Cache Rewards GC. Thanks for the hunt Mischief's Crew.
We returned with our three year old and let him find it, who loved it, of course.
We left a tupperware midget tumbler and took a snap card game.

This is a great cache; the walk is pleasant (and is a good distance in to the bush) and the cache well placed.
We took nothing and left nothing, but will be back with our three year old now that we've tried our first Geocache!
The owner of the property to the west of Irymple road came home just as we were leaving the car, and assumed we were lost given the location.

We headed out on a short caching trip today to breath in some fresh air. the hills were our destination and caches that are'nt too far from us.
We kept looking for an obvious track to follow but there didint seem to be one so it was a lovely meander though what runed out to be a surprisingly open forest.
We located the cache as it was in the obvious location and after logging the find in the book headed back to the car.
On the way back we found a bit of old rubbish whcih included what looked like a broken porcelain bed pan and a few old bottles. The bottles looked to be circa 1970.
It would be interesting to know the history of some of these lost treasures.
We took the Sheep mug and left the mosquito net

This was my first attempt at finding anything so armed with my new GPS off I went, unfortunatly in my hast I put the wrong coordinates into my GPS. But tomorrow is another day. O yeah must remember to wear long trousers too.
An easy (and welcome) find at the start of a hard day of caching. The walk in amazed me with the number of Christmas spiders between bushes. T: drink holder L: clips.

My second failure of the day, but as the object was to walk Billy the Geomutt this didn't matter. I am suspecting that my GPS has some issues, it was a bit upset having suddenly found itself back in WA after last being used in Tasmania ans was fluctuating wildly. I'll try it tomorrow on a cache I have previously found.
