Hi Redbudgie1,

The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Has had the "Needs Maintenance" attribute since Sep 2018, phew!
Seems to be missing now as well, I was in the area today and couldn't locate it.
Last found more than a year ago, might need a CO check!

Had a good search in the likely spot and surrounding area with no luck.️

I was kicking myself as I approached GZ as I had intended to bring a replacement cache and log. Its condition wasn't nearly as bad as portrayed by previous logs. It was an incredibly quick find, sign and I was off to the next one as I needed a multi, a mystery and a regular cache today. I was staggered to see that the next one was very close by. TFTC Redbudgie1 A pity that you don't appear to cache anymore. This is a relatively old one so I hope it survives.

Found with SophieScout today. Cache needs maintenance as it is falling apart and needs some love. TFTC

20-May-21
Found but the cache was in poor condition and log had gone stiff after getting too wet TFTC

20-May-21
Suspect the cache has been moved from its spot as it was hanging in a branch, additionally the log has gone stiff and is difficult of not impossible to sign

12-Dec-20
This one was solved after I had a chat with my best friend for puzzles, Google. Puzzle was quickly solved from there. I couldn't figure how to get to GZ and started to wonder whether my coordinates were right. However when I was returning I noticed a path and found the cache. Logbook is a bit dirty but not to wet. Still, it might need some love. TFTC RedBudgie1!

Early start today to be able to tick off a few goals by the end of the day. Finally qualifying for a few challenge caches and keeping up the numbers in preparation for the SA trip coming up in two weeks. Weather is only just holding, but prepared for all weather. After my parkrun this morning I could do with a bit more workout, no matter the rain!

With GreyHams we spent the best part of the day to see about a few of the caches that have escaped us to date. A few recently solved, some meandering, new ones, cool ones and a few FTFs for something a little unexpected! As always it was an enjoyable day and the bonus of it staying dry and not so cold was welcomed. Thanks for the cache that helped guide us for another fun day!!!

A cache with some good age to it and indeed the container was hardly a container anymore. Would be a shame to loose an old cache like this so we replaced it with what we had that may suit for a while and have left the original log book in with it, its not the best with repeat wetting but still holding up for now.

10-Oct-20
Solved this one a little while ago.

Easy find here today but as others have said, the container is in desparate need of replacement. Unfortunately I didn't have anything with me.

I found this cache is several pieces, at several locations. I've tried to put it together again - but as the previous logger noted, it needs some serious TLC..

Thank you, Redbudgie1

Out on a Wednesday night geoadventure with Nibletricecakes, onieferret and k8tybee. The container is smashed, and the ziplock is more hole than bag. We tried to cover it as much as possible. TFTC Redbudgie1

When I heard we were heading out this way for an Adventure Lab I thought I would see what else was around. Saw this one, had a fair idea how to work it out, and yep, I was right.
Thank you

10-Jun-20
The container for this cache was non existent. The log was still in bag, just barely. We rebid as best we could but needs a new container

18-Mar-20
Worked out the coords for this cache a while back but had convinced myself that they were incorrect as it is 51m from a multicache GZ. Anyway, as the ANU gym closed for semester1 this evening at 5pm, due to COVID-19, we had the time to look for this cache and bingo it was at GZ.

The log is in good condition but the container is significantly damaged. We were surprised that it had survived the recent rains. TFTC Redbudgie1.

I am in town for a conference for a whole week and start off with some caching - the welcoming reception is only this evening.
I love science so I had to tackle this puzzle. After not wanting to take apart a rat poison box not far from here, I found this container quickly. My first physical cache in Canberra! Thank you! The container is damaged badly though. But its contents are dry after all the rains.

A fun puzzle solved earlier this week and a nice quick find at GZ on a quiet day. Thank you for the puzzle and for the cache Redbudgie1.

Canberra Day 6: Inner Northern Suburbs - ANU - City

Last day in Canberra, but I had the full day at my disposal. However, with the hotel checkout at 10 am and the temperature projected to soar to 38 degrees, I had plan my moves well or risk wilting in the scorching heat. So, I decided to head out early at 5:30 am on the bike to pick up whatever caches I had left remaining in the vicinity before breakfast and checkout time. After that, I would spend the rest of the day caching slowly around the city, to find whichever cache proved to be forthcoming. In any case, it’s been great exploring and caching in Canberra. Thanks for all the memorable experiences!

This is the specific log for this cache:
I like Science Homework, that’s always something up my alley. I was somewhat confused how this one ended up very close to another cache, high forced me to double check my working do both caches. Turns out this must be due to some sort of odd loophole in the publication universe. Cache was found very easily, but as many people have pointed out, the container is broken. Luckily, the dry season means that logbook was dry. TFTC!

30-Nov-19
A nice fast find.

The container is broken and needs replacement. TFTH

21-Oct-19
My last cache of a few that I grabbed in this area while down for a very brief work trip from Brisbane. I parked closeby and took the easy approach path to GZ, where the container was quickly spotted. I added my name to the log and returned as found. [^]

Sadly, the container is not in good shape and the next bout of rain will render it useless. The cache and log book bag are damaged, with the cache having a chuck missing and barely holding together. It really needs to be replaced.

Thanks for the puzzle and cache.

Cheers Redbudgie1.

I did my homework. I love science!! Indeed, some get rewarded!! PM science awards tomorrow night. How fitting.

Thanks Redbudgie1 and clear skies from TeamAstro. ️ Cache the planet!

I'm out hunting up stages for a handful of multi-caches for Professor RapidlyWild's UGC Challenge series. I'm just here, so I stopped to grab this one which I had solved ages ago. Thanks, Redbudgie.

I need puzzles for Prof RapidlyWild as well. Two birds and all that.

Tried to find this one years ago with no luck. Returned today with very different coordinates and made a quick find (no idea what went wrong last time!). TFTC!

BonEm, did the hard yards and worked out the final. I tagged along for the nice walk and smilie today.
Thanks Redbudgie1 for the hide.

It was a beautiful day for a walk and I enjoyed solving the puzzle for it. Lpud and I were disappointed that we didn’t have anything to replace the container with today but the log book is in good order. TFTC

I'm glad my humanities brain got the right idea for this one.
Coords were spot on. Success!
The camo was offering protection so contents were dry but the container needs some TLC.
Cheers!

Having travelled all the way from Brisbane to attend the Mega event over the Easter long weekend, I was out and about from just after sun up with the aim of collecting as many caches as possible on my lengthy wish list. This was one of the caches on the agenda for today, having solved the puzzle in a last minute frenzy of puzzle solving prior to my trip south.

The difficulty here was finding the best route in to access GZ. As is always the way, the route in was a meandering path through buildings but the way back out was a much less circuitous route. TFTC

So pleased that I don't have to do homework anymore, although I did do this before leaving. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache.

Two weeks later, catching up on logs, I have now also solved.

There is nothing quite like completing a budgies homework. As long as it’s not about budgie smugglers I guess! Thanks so much for placing this cache Redbudgie1, and for the puzzle. The container is in pretty bad shape.

Today we headed for a few D/T’s we need a few more of on our Clear Waters weekend! Found in the company of Geoturtle & Papi, BecknMonts & OzHockeyChick. The container is suffering from exposure, plastic is brittle and broken.
Thanks for placing Budgie's Science Homework so we could find it. Many thanks Redbudgie1 for the caching fun.

Out with geofriends while attending the Clearwaters Mega at Queanbeyan. A quick find SL then returned as found. Container needs replacing.

In Queanbeyan to attend the Mega. So great to get here early to spend time catching up with some many familiar faces. Always taking the time to grab a cache, when the opportunity allowed it.

This afternoon we were out doing some driving time for the L plate driver. It was a great opportunity to grab some finds while on the way out to Captain's flat, while giving a newbie some first finds. Had some fun and laughs along the way

This needs so attention from CO, as container is broken and able to let in water and loose contents.

Thanks Redbudgie1 for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play

I was in Queanbeyan with my boyfriends family, As I've not cached before, I signed some logs of the caches I found with XC, until I came up with my caching name.
I had lots of fun, met some nice people and found some great hides.
Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.

19-Apr-19
After lunch I travelled into the town centre to do some caching with Happy Feet
Being a public holiday the area was quiet desserted so we could search for the many tricky caches without a worry.
Thanks for placing this cache Redbudgie1Mega event.

Container badly disintegrated. Thanks for the trip back to science at school! Tftc!

11-Apr-19
Solved the puzzle before heading south for the Clear Waters event. No problems with the puzzle but still relieved to find a cache at the predicted spot when there wasn't a checker. Big Grin

Today we spent an enjoyable day riding around the Westlake Loop, having lunch, finding a few caches and sight seeing in the National Capital. A quick and easy find of the cache but the container only seems to be holding together due to the lid. If we'd read previous logs we'd have brought a replacement container but unfortunately we hadn't. At least the log and bag are in good condition. TFTC Redbudgie1.

In our Nation's capital for a meeting. (I think work let me attend). Found before breakfast. Even though I work on these materials everyday, I still had to look them up.
The cache container os atill broken. Next person could bring a bew one.

F(H)ound it! #2846 @ 8:55 AM

After two DNFs I was glad to be able to claim this one. Driving in the other direction to all the morning traffic made getting here quite easy. Log signed and then I'm off to work Smile.
The cache is crumbling and the container needs replacing.

Thanks for the cache Redbudgie1

Was solving puzzles last night and clicked on this one only to find i had solved it about a year and a half ago when I was living offshore. It was before they changed the puzzle piece update to the app so all I had was a note. Came to pick it up today as part of the mapping challenge. Your container is completely broken and needs replacing. (Now if they would just include a needs maintenance option on the app would be great!) TFTC.

Found during a trip to Canberra after doing my science homework on the puzzle. Thanks for the puzzle and cache Redbudgie1!

09-Nov-17
Found it! I honestly don't remember how long ago I solved this puzzle - it would have been very close to the start of the year. However, for some reason I never attempted the find until now. A great day for a walk, and a really interesting destination - I've driven along that highway so often and never thought of what's just up the hill. After a couple of false leads (one involving quite a thorny plant), I got the cache and signed the log. Tftc.

Puzzle: So proud of myself really, I'm not known for my smarts. I'm not great at science, but I knew this stuff! So the puzzle was sweet to solve.

GZ: The first thing that hit me at GZ was the smell, but I was hoping it was the flowers. The bunnies are always so cute and they kept me company as I took the very short walk to GZ and as I walked along the road I thought I could have made this a park and grab!! Oh well, the walk really was nothing. Container cracked, but so far, contents have stayed dry. Tftc!!!

27-Aug-17
An easy find. Cache was a bit exposed (and slightly broken) so covered it up a bit more.

Picked this one up on a quiet Sunday night walk around ANU campus with AngelG27. It was great to venture out of my little science building bubble and see more of the campus. I'm pretty sure this was the first puzzle cache I ever solved, it was so exciting to finally pick it up! TFTC

Challenge: Get 50 different D/T combos in one day, just in the ACT. Day started before 5:30am and finished after 9:30pm, with 52 different D/Ts, 7 different cache types, completed by car, by bike, by kayak, by foot and even climbing trees. A long, but rewarding day, well supported by TikvaNZ, who also completed his 3rd DT loop.

This was #9 of 52. I had figured out the info the day before. Early in the morning, while residents were asleep, I snuck in and signed. Container needs replacing. I covered it as best as possible. TFTC Redbudgie1

Needs maintenance. The cache container is missing a large chunk of its corner - largr enough such that small swaps can fall out.

Today was my mystery day. I solved two mysteries while sitting at the breakfast table. Admittedly, both weren't that difficult.

This one does not refer to the kind of science I am doing. However, it is also not rocket science to guess the right discipline.

Thanks for the puzzle and the box to Redbudgie1

8:30am 4/5 - in the ANU for first aid training, good opportunity to find some caches. This was easier than the D3 listed. Grabbed the TB. Thanks for the cache Redbudgie1.

There are days when you get to the end of the road trip and you realise that you haven't ticked off all caches yet. Missimg an earth cache and a puzzle cache. This one is close to work and my overworked brain could cope with it. So I set out at lunch time. Managed to roll my ankle on flat ground on Marcus Clarke Street. Glad, I wasn't carrying coffee, but had to limp to GZ.
Found the cache quickly.
Bring food! The 5 cache guardians are hungry. They came within arm length, but I had already finished my bread roll.

I did my homework for this one Wink quite easily for a change. Usually I'm very and at puzzles and even the easy ones take me a while to grasp whats going on!

The hide was very easy too, the last person didn't cover it up very well so it was exposed. Signed the log and did my best to rehide. Thanks for this cache!

22-Aug-15
This was a nice, simple puzzle that we'd solved a while ago. I was at ANU this morning so thought it was high time I had a go at finding it. The cache was located easily (a relief after a couple of unsuccessful nano searches earlier in the morn), with everything in good condition. Thanks for the cache.

I had looked at this one on a previous trip to Canberra and was very confused. However last night I brought it up and had another look and the penny dropped straight away! A bit of google searching and I found what I needed and the co-ords were soon found. A quick duck out this morning and a sneaky cache close to my accommodation was found. TFTC
