I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi waitaki999
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

Could it be this and someone has put it out of reach. May need maintenance . With teeupnz
Quick park and grab - thought not so quick for those of us in our mid-70s! Log too wet and tatty to sign properly so left a biro mark only!
Yah took awhile but pretty sure it was there
- rubbish lying around is terrible
Why no rubbish bins ????
Enjoying a day around about Oamaru with NZ Bozzy picking up a few smiles and visiting places we hadn’t made it too previously
Thanks to the CO’s for placing and maintaining all the caches found today

Had another idea and there it was. Spend ages looking and was just having the last look before leaving.
Sometimes caching is like that.

This is day four of a ten day trip down to Dunedin and back to move my daughter to Dunedin so she can get her master’s degree at Otago University.
I am now on the road heading north. I don’t need to make too many miles, so I can concentrate on a few caches.
I spent a lot of time searching in the usual places. I finally found the cache in an unusual place. The log is perfectly dry without the issues that other finders have noticed, so I am confused. TFTC.

Weekend trip to Oamaru and Dunedin for the Pink Concert so doing some caching on the way. TFTH.
Great little tiny find, listen to the hint.
Cache soaked and full of liquid, smelt like alcohol
Cache soaked and full of liquid, smelt like alcohol
Found full and soaked of liquid, smelt of alcohol, may suggest new paper. Had nothing on me to fix as working and on my half hour
Co-ords took me to one side of the GZ but the cache was on the other - look carefully and you will find it. TFTC (preferably when its dry, the biggest puddles are between the parking area and the GZ)
After attending the Oamaru Geofeast we are now heading back to Christcurch. Caching with Di Morgan and grabbing a few caches along the way. Found this on the second search.
Thanks waitaki999 for placing the cache for us to find.

Today our last day in Oamaru we spent mostly picking up local traditional caches, it was a wet day, but good for caching anyway. Today was also the day our team broke 4000!
thanks to all the CO's for placing the caches for us to find

It was so wet that I decided to go home a day early. I pulled up at the rest area to see a family at the picnic table. Luckily I recognised them as geocachers. Found the cache but placement doesn't match the clue.
Great day geocaching with TTT - the Trans Tasman Team! Really having fun at the Geofest !Thanks.
A nice quick find while down for the Oamaru Geofest weekend.

I've been tormented by hides in these structures in the past but today we walked up and looked and thought yep, there it is. So lucky to be looking just the right on approach to the cache. There was another car parked up and we assumed as you do when there's a geofest on that they would be cachers, but they neither approached quickly or departed conveniently, so we had to wait them out a few minutes. Then they left and we retrieved the cache only for another muggle to arrive who we also waited out to replace the cache.
Have to say this is not even close to the worst cache ever. We quite enjoyed it so thanks for placing and maintaining this cache. All good here.

Caching with our NZ friends signing as trans tasman team TTT. Having a ball traversing the area and getting lots of caches. This one slowed us up a bit, so e of tge team had done it years ago but offered no help. Tough one even with a shed builder in the team. Tftc
so easy when you know where it is - but spotting it was a bit tricky - made a lot easier by someone who has found it before giving us a nudge as to where to focus our search. TFTC
We'd heard about this cache before arriving, we weren't there long when we heard the familiar voice of fellow Nelson cachers who'd spied legs hanging [:o] Another few cachers arrived including a previous finder who gave us a nudge in the right direction (cms from my head but not wherein was looking). Thanks for a fun hide

I found this Geocache on a Geocaching mega mission along with Cats&Dragons and HKCB. With only just over three and half thousand Geocache finds I was very much the over achiever in training. We were in the South Island to support the Oamaru Geofest event, hunt down some Jasmar and D/T harder to find Geocaches, lonely caches (those not found in more than 6 months), virtuals and try and meet some milestone numbers. We signed the logs HIC, an abbreviation of our respective Geocaching names, (H)KCB, (I)ammrwalker and (C)ats&dragons. A huge thanks to all the CO’s who placed and maintain the Geocaches we found.
I arrived in Christchurch late Thursday evening having left straight from work and was picked up by my intrepid companions in our four wheel drive rental to find they had already grabbed about 270 finds in the previous twenty four hours. I wonder if the rental company would have still let us have it had they known we would travel 3300km in it before returning it four days later? Our trip took us to Greymouth via Arthurs pass, Ngahere, down the west coast to Haast across to Hawea, Cromwell, Twizel, Aoraki Mt Cook, Tekapo, onto the east coast up to Oamaru and back up to Christchurch via Akaroa and countless diversions and small towns along the way. We slept in the car for the first two nights, grabbing some shut eye between cache finds, taking turns to drive. We rented a small place in Oamaru for the other two nights and appreciated a bed to sleep in and a hot shower. It was an amazing trip, in which I discovered the South Island has some of the most incredible scenery in the world.
I had a previous finder in tow who gave an extra helpful hint, and the cache was soon in hand.

In Oamaru for the 2017 Geofest Our second day and a drive through to Omarama was planed and a lot of caches on the way. As it was the Geofest we bumped into fellow geocachers as well as a few muggles along the way. We were travelling with Keylev, UncleSam, Stik-a-Crane so to save log paper signed as Team SEAC 17.
We had TWO attempts at this cache. We had just arrived at GZ when a lot of new caches were released. We abandoned the search and headed off to try our luck for some ftfs. We were successful at 3 and then headed back here to make the successful find here to.
Thanks to all the COs for the caches along the route.

Well we ended up at this spot twice....we arrived and had just jumped out of the car when the notifications began so we hopped right back in and raced off.
After all the FTF excitement we headed back here to continue with the original plan. Didn't take too long and cache was soon in hand.
Thanks for the cache.

Pleased to get this one. Looking like monkeys climbing all over but cache was spotted. Signed as JE/PC from memory. A challenging hide! Many thanks for the fun.
Monsonclan grabbed this one after we poked around for a bit. After talking to others, we wondered if there are 2 caches there?Tftc
Found but could find many 2017 entries. Might need new log book. But talking to others this might Not actually be correct log.
Greetings from an Auckland Cacher. Here with some of my crew for the “Almost Mega” event.

Thanks to the Cache Owner who has gone to the trouble of creating this cache, determining the coordinates and then averaging them to make sure they are accurate, placing the cache and registering it online for our enjoyment. Without Cache Owners doing their bit, there wouldn’t be a fun hobby that we all love - so again a big THANK YOU. For our bit, all we need to do is find and log the cache that was carefully placed for our personal enjoyment. As we log it we should consider that the Cache Owner also needs to maintain it - when the log sheet fills up, they must replace it. When the container becomes full of water, they need to empty it. When the container is broken, they need to repair it. When it goes missing they need to find or replace it. Well..... the great news is we can do our bit too - make sure your log doesn’t take an entire page - just a name and date. If full of water, empty and dry the cache as best as possible. Be careful when handling the cache and make sure you replace it where you found it. If it has a bag, seal it. Just remember - the Cache Owner showed respect to you by placing the cache - please respect them and fellow cachers that follow you by being careful with the cache. And if you have a spare log sheet and the cache you are at needs one, please leave it behind. Finally, if the cache does need maintenance, please let the Cache Owner know - you can log a Maintenance Log or you can drop a line to the Cache Owner. Above all - have fun and remember the Geocaching Code. .

Thought I would head north from Dunedin to find the blue sky. Wow its so busy here today. Having a good day wondering the area.
Wanted to find this after the last couple of DNFs I had heere but saw it out of the corner of my eye.
All in good condition.
We are excited in NZ to be hosting a large event this year. For more information check out GC6M2V0 Oamaru Geofest 2017 (21-22 October), [click here](http://oamarugeofest2017.wixsite.com/geocachingevent)

After a fun southern family holiday in the Catlins and Invercargill it's time to start heading for home (CHCH).....staying the night in the Waitaki just to break the drive...allowed one or two caches along the way (so it doesn't take toooooo long getting there)! Stopped off for a looksee and soon enough cornered the cache. Cheers!
After failing to find three in central Oamaru, it was a relief to spot this one right before giving up!
Found quite easy but needed Nzbirders smaller fingers to help after I cleared away the spider. TFTC
Thankfully Keewee is taller than me and more monkey like. A great little hide.

I came over to New Zealand to meet my son, who is staying now for more than five months on the other side of the world. Our intension is, to travel now for 4 weeks through this fantastic land and visiting a lot of fine spots on both islands.
Met in Auckland, our first trip led us to the Far North with some spectacular locations. It was a lot of driving, but we think, it was worth the result.
The second part of our travelling route led us to the south. Going via Hamilton with some fine locations, Hobbiton was an absolutely must of our "unexpected journey" . Went then to Tauranga with a hard upclimb to Mt. Maunganui, visited Rotorua to see lot of vulcanic activities, have had a lot of fun with Zorbing and Claybird shooting and drove then to Taupa, to doing Skydiving.
Here we go: Napier with it's beautiful Art Deco district and the great Aquarium was the next stop.
Final destination on the North Island was Wellington, were we visited some great places and met some friends from Germany.
After crossing Cook Strait now we will follow the east side of the southern island down to the most southern point of New Zealand.
Blenheim with its wine yards, fantastic dolphin watching in Kaikoura, the story of earthquake in Christchurch, following the famous coastline down to Dunedin with its beautiful and interesting places as well as the nice city of Invercargill were our main spots on this part of our journey.
Of course, even if it is not our main activity during this holidays, we will looking for some caches, which are laying beside our route.
So this cache was one of those, we've picked up.
Many thanks to waitaki999 for this fine cache and best greetings from Germany.

During my trip around South Island of course I wanted to do some geocaching as well. But where to start and where to stop? Sometimes there were powertrails along major roads but that would have really slowed me down. And I had come to New Zealand to get to see the highlights rather than pimping my statistics...
Thus, I created a pocket query with earth caches, virtuals and also letterboxes so I could easily see if there were any along my way. If so, I would happily do them! I like earthcaches! And still think I am not doing enough of them. Often they require a bit of an effort but at the same time they are educational and you often get to see interesting scenery. It is more rewarding than plucking a film canister from a park bench...
Whenever I stopped for a photo (or earth cache) I also checked my other pocket query for traditional caches etc. In the end, this seemed a good compromise to combine travelling with geocaching.
The worst cache ever?
Of course, I needed to find out myself. And I have to say it wasn't too bad. Looked in the right directio straight away, noticed 'something' and held the cache in my hands... Last one for today!

I had searched for this once several years ago. Decided to have another look today with added reinforcements. Spied it this time so after that it was an easy retrieval, sign and replacement. TFTC #7991
Read the old logs and looked and looked.. found it very much NOT where we expected ! ☺
Last time I came past, I decided that I did not feel UP to it... No such issue today, cache retrieved, signed, and returned with encouragement from tunfisk securing the old TV set someone placed in a handy spot for me to stand on... Not the worst cache by far I have to say, but definitely the most adventurous T2 I have ever seen! TFTC!!
Probably not the best cache to be looking for in a dress with flared skirt that can flip over your head in wind gusts! Took a bit of looking but managed to find it when the council worker on his ride on mower was headed away from us.
Mega trip to NZ with vipema, Veke68 and Katsukka, logged as TVVKFIN. We stopped here on our way back to CHCH from Mount Cargil. Thanks for the cache.
Long time dream came true and we could visit New Zealand. NZ Mega was our maingoal and we had time to find others too. We travelled together with Veke68, Katsukka and tanjuli (+husband) and had great time. We used TVVK Fin (that is tanjuli, vipema, Veke68 and Katsukka) in mostly logbooks to save space.
Thanks for the cache.

Greetings from Finland.
Day #6 geocaching in NZ in good company (=tanjuli + husband, vipema, Veke68 & Katsukka = TVVK-FIN in the logbooks, most of the time), today we headed to Dunedin and back to Christchurch again. Had a great time, enjoyed the mostly sunny day and found a lot of caches + saw so many interesting/beautiful places.
Thank you!!!!
Thank you!!!!
Caching holiday in New Zealand with Tanjuli, Vipema and Katsukka continues and today nice trip from Christchurch to Dunedin and back. Lot of kilometers but many nice caches and of course couple of very old caches too.
We logged mostly only TVVK-FIN to save space in the logbook.
Thanks!!

This was the start of a MEGA caching weekend in the company of good caching friends. In the company of both HKCB & 11HPG11 this was going to be another memorable caching road trip for many reasons.
This is the mission that we had set ourselves up for several months back. It was HKCB's idea, I was just dumb enough to think it was a challenge and I'd be up for it, 11HPG11 was silly enough to come along for the ride once we confirmed a spare seat (Nova Lightening pulled out for family reasons).
We were going to try to beat the NZ one day record in New Zealand (it would have been easier with 4 people), so after 2.5hrs sleep after a good feed at Omarama we were ready to go. This was the number two hundred and twenty sixth on what was to be an epic day with what amounted to 401 caches collected for the day and about 38 DNF's. We managed this with 10minutes to spare but by this time we were done for and still had to drive back to Kaiapoi. All in all an epic days caching with good friends and something I don't think any of us will repeat in a hurry.
All in all it was going to be a big day with a number of challenges, great scenery, and of course great company. Fantastic driving along and up here as the landscape was so different from what we are used to back in the Waikato. One good thing about backroads being that we could continue our neferious activites without being disturbed by muggles.
Nice quick find here without any issues .
thanks for the placement , thanks for the cache

Headed down south with C&D and 11HPG11 for the CHCH Mega as part of the HOAC team, and decided that a Mega road trip/Mega Mission was the right thing to do. After a great day caching from Dunedin to Omarama we manged to get a few hours sleep before the big day 2 started.
Day 2 was the start of a ambitious plan to try and find as many caches as possible in one day! To maximise our chances of a big number we decided a 24 hour caching day was the only way to go. What an epic day, and some great moments too. The rough idea was to cache from Omarama to Oamaru, and then head north towards Christchurch. A huge thanks to everyone for the cache placments, and I apologise for the copy and past logs.
Find #224 for the day.
Took a bit of effort to locate this one but a bit of patience and the cache was found.

What a Mega Mission for a group of Hamilton Over Achievers! A great trip, a long time in the planning. I teamed up with Cats&Dragons and HKCB to grab a couple of caches while in Christchurch and surrounding areas for the 2015 Mega Event. We flew out from Auckland on Friday night and traveled to Dunedin in the dark of the night. Stopped for a few hours sleep before setting off to grab caches in the Otago area on Saturday before attempting a few more on Sunday and then arriving at the Mega on the Monday. An amazing, yet crazy road trip
When C&D mentioned a day with over 400 caches I should have turned and ran... instead I said yes, and here we are. 401 caches in 23 hours and 50 minutes. All done on about 2.5hr of sleep. It was hard work with only 3 of us and there were times that were hard and tiring but I still had a blast! An amazing experience that one has to be slightly crazy to even consider
Loved looking around here. Thanks for placing the caches to show us around. I don't know about worst.... it almost had us going but luckily I was onto it and spotted something!

Looking looking looking. Looking higher & higher. OMG. thank goodness for the younger cacher (penny) amongst us. TFTC
This one had lived up to its name. But at last we have found it. It was well hidden and it took a big effort from an OAP to get it. Think it needs a favourite. TFTC
Made a spur of the moment decision to do this one as we needed to change drivers and this looked like a good place to pull over. Unfortunately a muggle had pulled in behind us, but parked some way from GZ so we decided to take a look anyway. Wondered just where a cache might be hidden before spotting the hide where we least expected it. The muggle was not paying us any attention so grabbed the cache, signed the log, and had it replaced just as they decided to move on... TFTC.
