I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi mollymop
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

Stopped here for a bite to eat, and a break for the geodogs. Great place to stop

Out and about Easter weekend exploring the hills in Central. I haven't been up here in years - since I was a child and used to go skating on the dam. Spotted where the cache was straight away but took a bit of tippy toes and stretching to reach this so might be a challenge for those who are not so tall! TFTC
My mission is my first 3 day tramp on Stewart Island. The Seagnoid has Xmas off so we are off on an epic adventure with Zara around the South Island. The Seagnoid is navigator and scribe, Zara and I have teamed up and Im cache logger. We leave Alexandra getting to the Catlins.
Spent the great night in Alexandra with an old friend of my fathers. Back on the road today. This lake was a picture mirror and absolutely beautiful. Replaces rusty cache and added temp waterproof log. Thanks heaps for bringing us here. Cheers.

TaybeeDragon and I are off for a three day walk on Stewart Island. But we have a camper, so once you add in getting there and back, it's a three week trip. Day 8: Alexandra to Catlins.
Spent the night at a friend's place and back on the road again. This looked like an interesting place, so here we are. The lake was like a mirror!
Replaced the entire cache as the old one was rusty and the log was saturated. The dragon added a waterproof paper log in a new bag. I also edited the map - that racetrack does not exist!

2nd attempt at this one found today.

Found the little blighter this time. Bought a muggle friend with me who helped with the search. Lake frozen at the moment. Good cache
What a fantastic spot, especially on this still calm frozen morning. Found the cache after a really long look. Sneaky.
Took a bit to track it down. In between take lots of photos. Not a breath of wind, makes great photos. Found it though.
Seen all the dnfs so came prepared with a replacement until Co can get to it hint still applies easiest from the ground
It's many years since I've been out here while there's ice on the dam. We saw the DNFs but had a look anyway. No luck, although our search wasn't exhaustive as some enquisitive children appeared by trailbike.
Can not find this one today. Gps saying .5m away. Must be missing something obvious
An easy find on an early morning excursion out to take some photographs, the log was a wee bit damp & may need renewed at some stage. TFTC!!
Many people enjoying the cool water today - thanks God on the other side. Quick find, TFTC
Papers are a bit wet, might need updating.
Used to ice stake here when the rink was here as a kid. Good memory's.

No-one here this afternoon, and just a skin of ice on the water so certainly no skating yet. Have skated here several times, many years ago, a special experience being on natural ice in such spectacular surroundings.
We searched for around half an hour in every hidey hole we could find, but no cache! Hope we have better luck on our next visit....
It is a winters day but there is no ice to skate on today. How I remember the old days when hundreds of skaters came here to enjoy the ice. Music blarred out and curling teams tried their luck on a rink on the far side of the dam. The skate hire shop, and the canteen, where have they all gone ? A tricky cache to find today, but the suspense of not finding it was eventually overcome.
Easy find in a beautiful spot. Cant believe there is nobody here on a public holiday! TFTC
A beautiful and deserted spot here today. It took us about 10 minutes of searching to locate but common sense prevailed and we were done here. Its amazing the number of new and expensive houses that have gone up here in the last few years, the last time we were here, none of them existed! TFTC [^]
Took me ages to find this one, was nearly ready to give up but finally got it! TFTC
Was a really yucky day but the boys and I managed to find this one thank goodness no one was up there as it took as awhile in the wind!
I came here only once to iceskate, "in my youth"; growing up in Dunedin we more commonly went on buses to Naseby for our skating attempts.
Took a bit of looking, found eventually. TFTC.

Second quick find today whilst out on chilly Alex morning around the places I used to haunt when I was younger & on holiday here showing the geomidgets the places & things we used to get up to then. A spot of Yabbying while here but no luck.. TFTC.
Happy to say I found it as wasn't very hopeful with the last log saying they didn't
GZ appeared to be just beyond the lower end of protective fencing. Searched far and wide even places we prefered not to go in the search for this one without finding any sign of the cache apart from a bundle of tissue paper in the most likely spot.
Found with English friend in the rain! On leap day.

As usual Guwapo wanted to throw stones in the lake. He was also keen to find the cache which was just a little too close to the lakes edge for our liking. In the end Mama came up with the goods. Salamat!
Ahh, what a gorgeous day it was!! Lake was roughly iced over and walkable-on(just) Sneaky hiding place!! ^w^
Quick find on day trip round Alex. What a great place in the autumn and winter.
Another nice day in Central so decided to revisit this area as I had been unsuccessful last time, no better today but at least it was quiet in this beautiful area.

Was doing Alex caching by bike with the very best of intentions to get to this cache. But 35+ degree temperatures to cycle in, low on drinking water - which was almost boiled, I had to turn back 3/4 of the way there. Not my usual kind of decision - being almiost there, but after pushing the bike up that hill, my fried brain made the right decision to return to Alex. Will be back another time.
Great spot, my younger brother found it. But soon after he fell from the rock it was on and hurt himself, not badly though
What a lovely area!. Just got home and logged on and read the previous logs, next year (maybe)

Another gorgeous location that I almost certainly would have missed out on visiting had it not been for geocaching. TFTC, Mollymop.
Found by our super spotter daughter. She found it before the rest of us had a chance to start looking!!
Nice spot and a pretty good day.
