With the geo wife booked in at the hairdressers for the better part of the day I headed out to pick up the remaining caches I need to complete an LGA challenge Ive been working on for sometime. Only need another 13 and I have finally got there.Upon arriving at the suggested parking location I quickly made my way to GZ. The cache was quickly found and the log signed and returned safely. Now back through the wet grass to the car and off on the next adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.Cheers

9/7/2023 Find #6280
A girls’ day out today with SaintsMadHouse, KBreeAHH and Just A Trifle. The plan was to do maintenance on one of SaintsMadHouse ‘s caches in Rathdowney, and grab whatever else we needed en route.
Took a little while to find it, as we paid too much attention to the hint and also didn’t think about crossing the fence line. But finally KBreeAHH leapt out and set us straight.
Right after however we headed through the gate and a tiny frog leapt out at KBreeAHH!
Thanks for the cache GhostGums.

Today, the morning plan was hiking to Upper Portals, utilising the [Picnic at Upper Portals](https://coord.info/GCA4KJT) event as an opportunity to visit this popular destination. An enjoyable group in attendance to make the 4WD drive and walk down, and a fortunate weather window to have completed that too. I then took a drive home via Rathdowney and Beaudesert, although I questioned the sanity of geocaching as I was caught in very heavy rain storms, which made me keep driving and adjust plans in order to not get drenched. Highlights included visiting Kooralbyn and seeing the kangaroos and wallabies around the streets, and completing the [JUBILEE PARK WALKING TOUR](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/ead2c608-a9f7-40ee-803c-dd6392e5fa40) Adventure Lab in Beaudesert.

This building/property appeared to be all fenced off today despite the sign welcoming visitors, so my initial search was spent looking from outside of the property around the hinted area. When that failed to encounter the cache, I then squeezed inside, and then realised that the cache was nearby to that hint. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks GhostGums for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

A road trip with my best man and his family; heading towards Kempsey with a few stops along the way, then returning via a different route and arriving home just before Christmas. Trying to get to caches while towing a caravan is a little daunting, finding a place to park or a good pull off area means a little extra walking.

My first area to attack was Beaudesert and surrounds. A nice little Adventure Lab in town and a couple of quick finds before setting off again. This was a nice location and an easy find. A little walk on and there is another cache, awesome.

Thanks for the cache and the hide, I signed the log and returned all as found.

School is out so a group of us crazy mum's took our kids camping out at Darlington Campgrounds despite the torrential rain and flooding that had occurred all week. The day had been dry enough and I wanted to complete some caches in the area, so I took the 2 oldest girls with me on a hunt.

Today was the day I returned home. Others went straight up to the playground at Beaudesert, whereas I took the long way (and a head start) to get some caches on the way up. This was one along that trail.

We spent way too long inspecting the location in the hint. Then from another angle, it was spotted. Not exactly there, but near enough. We just needed to open our eyes. What a beautiful looking church. Almost between a barn and a church. Thank you for bringing us here. Favourite point for encouraging us to stop here.

Thursday. I was driving around the area collecting some caches and this one was next on my list. Stopped and got out of the car. Holy Freezing Icicles Batman! The rain was cold enough, but the wind chill factor was something else altogether. I raced to put a jumper on so that I wouldn’t freeze anything off. Looked at the post, but should have looked behind! Got it quickly though and signed the log. Ran to get the next cache to keep the circulation going. I noted the signs on the fence all said "Visitors welcome" but everything was locked up tight.

This was the 5th of 12 caches found on this outing.

Thanks ***GhostGums*** for showing us this place Razz

Heading back to Brisbane after a fun weekend in Lismore with Mr and Mrs RoddyC, we stopped by this pretty little church. We searched for a while and then read a few logs that told us that we needed to be inside the fence to find this cache. Well, that made all the difference and we soon had the cache in hand. After signing the log, we re-hid the cache, then headed off to the next one. TFTC

On our way home from a weekend in Lismore and in the company of Selva Girls.

What a marvellous location. Thanks for brining us here! Dropped off one TB to continue on it's journey. And a very special TB in our inventory had a special visit here today. In a race from Ontario, Canada to Tamrookum, Queensland and back. Also left a small Canadian trinket in there from our past homeland. TNSL. TFTC.

We had an excellent church history lesson and tour from Margaret who is very knowledgable about the history here. If you have some extra time, she indicates she is always available to give you the tour while you are there. Please note, there is a previous log indicating you do not need to enter the church grounds to locate the cache, but we did not find this to be the case. Without entering the property we would not have been able to locate and get the cache in hand. If the gates are closed, Margaret indicates not to worry, open the gate and come on in.

Nice hiding spot. Found it with help from Margaret.

27-Sep-17
Nice cache

27-Sep-17
Hidden very well

24-Sep-17
Well, this was a real gem. If not for geocaching we would have driven right past without stopping. We were invited in by the caretakers and had a very informative tour of this lovely church.
Church services are still held here every 3rd Sunday. Weddings and funerals are also held here.
The history of the church is very interesting. The interior with its red cedar beams and imported lead light windows is truly remarkable.
We were so taken with our impromptu visit that we almost forgot about the cache we had come here for...almost
Thanks for bringing us here GhostGums

After attending a Mothers' Day Event, we made a rather large detour to look for this cache as it was needed to meet the requirements for a challenge. Initially we did not have any success because we took the hint to be accurate. Whilst we were looking the owner of Tamrookum came over. She was surprised that there was a cache in the area but quickly located it for us further onto the property than what we had anticipated. She was very pleased to have a cache on her property and called her young children over to see. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks GhostGums for the cache and for bringing us to this historic location.

Out and about in the Beaudesert area. I was married in Tamrookum Church in Augist 1979, so had to make a trip down there. Having not one, but 2 caches on the property made it even more worthwhile. It's still a beautiful church after all these years. Thanks, GhostGums, for bringing me here. Dropped 3 TB's here.
