Well November has come around once again before it gets too hot, that means off on a camping trip chasing Yellow Faces . Lucky enough to find several but have encountered a couple Blue Faces .Either way the experience has been rewarding due to the Geocache locations and the early summer days in the high teens & low to mid 20s.Many thanks go out to all the COs and the maintenance crews around the remote and country regions that make travelling more enjoyable.TFTC
After picking up the Rat from her nest we headed west to the Yorke Peninsula to meet up with the Starfish at Port Vincent for some Tuesday Trekking. A good variety of caches were found, mainly traditionals but the vast majority were ones we all wanted which was great. Thanks to Rocky Glen Grommets for adding to the playing field with this cache.Cache #15026 for me.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*
Time for a Tuesday Trekking for 3 Confused Puzzlers.Ttrogg picked up the Rat from the Rat's nest.We then headed over to the Yorkes to meet up with Brisal5 at Port Vincent. For a day of adventure, fun, caches, stories and laughter. This was a quick find for us today.Stamped the logbook and replaced as found. Something special or unusual goes here:Nice camo but cache quickly found. The Generic Bit:Another Tuesday Trekking for the trio of puzzle solvers. I was already over visiting with the relatives on Yorke Peninsular so Ttrogg picked up S.A. Sewer Rats and came and met me at Port Vincent. [^] We set out from there with quite a few walks as we toured around clearing up the game board. ***Thanks Rocky Glen Grommets for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
On the way home from the Parsons Art Exhibition and thought its time for a cache. TftC and Happy Resurrection Sunday
quick find.
Recieved a message from Allister W. He was going to go down and meet the co to do " El Castillo del Rey del Mar ", he asked if myself and Mogni wanted to meet him down there on Sunday. Since the 4x4 was still mostly packed from the last trip over to Victoria the answer was yes. We left after work Saturday and drove slowly down targetting large caches, solved puzzles and solving multi's on route and the odd traditional was found. We only got to Pine Point ( damn that place is windy ) before putting up the tent. Sunday the wind mostly had blew itself out and it was caching our way to El Castillo del Rey del Mar and there we meet a group and we all watched Allister W get wet and grab the cache on the 4th dive underwater. Then it was time to return slowly home and via as many caches as possible.

Fish n Chip lunch and an afternoon watching sailing craft and crab (wanna be) catchers. Ahh doesnt get much better than this.

Eagle eye Gemini 7 does it again - TFTC Another for the day, and a lovely day it is.
A last minute trip that was purely made due to there being a CITO at Minlaton, off I went caching at a few stops along the way from Adelaide, collecting a few of the T.O.Y caches.
Arrived at the event for the evening to meet some lovely people from different parts of the world. We chatted and shouted so many stories around culture and the differences between countries, lots of random caching experiences and as well just some random conversations. After the event I had planned to do some of the geo art further south. I was soon joined by team GBS and what legends they are, some amazing people and they went guns blazing along the trails.
From 7-12 we found just over 210 caches. The trail is in very poor condition and probably needs a maintenance run in the near future. Some of the caches are broken or just a log book.
Day 2 I woke up and did some local caching before the CITO. The CITO was fantastic with 4 large bags being collected. I soon said my good byes and targeted the rest of the T.O.Y series along the eastern coast line. All the caches in the series are all in good condition.
Then I farted for the event back in Adelaide by mid day. Overall a total of 255 caches for an overnight trip and some long time caching friends made.
Thanks to all the Cache owners for their placements
Sorry for the generic log.

We soon found this cache once at Ground Zero during another great day out geocaching. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
A huge weekend of geocaching with Mary from Aussie M & M. We got ourselves a lovely little cottage in Kadina and made this our base. So many caches and so little time we had to target certain ones that we felt were special enough to get a visit. As per normal we fixed any that needed some love so other could find them after us.
Thanks to Rocky Glen Grommets from mogni

This is a very apt name for this cache placement. Enjoyed the ride and if Mark had been with us and driving it would have been a really crazy ride.
As it was, I had an image of the Grommets flying up and down here, and just having to put out a cache for others to enjoy the ride.
Thanks to Margieh and Dazzatron for maintaining these caches for us to enjoy.

We are coming to the end of our three weeks staying on the Yorke Peninsula, and we will be sad to say goodbye to such a lovely area. We have moved around a bit spending three nights at each of the spots we’ve chosen, and it’s a great way to really get to see so much of what is on offer here. We’ve picked up heaps of caches but, more importantly, we have come to love this region and intend to return here and continue our explorations. Some great bakeries, coffee shops and pubs are also worth coming back for!
We took the short diversion in here and were amazed at the shack location. Would never happen where we come from and they would be out to sea after a storm.
A nice straightforward find.

Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.
Thanks Rocky Glen Grommets (F=1257 H=91) for the cache.

Catching up with late logs
After an exhausting but successful three days doing the fishing line series here we separated with the plan of meeting up again tonight at Port Wakefield and we were travelling with Micaparamedic.
We were now travelling back up the coast picking up caches as they popped up on the screen. We pulled up here and saw that it wasn't too far to where the GPSr was pointing and heard a car coming and saw that it was police car. They didn't stop and the cache was a nice quick find. This hill would be scary on a billy cart for the local kids.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks Captain Crane for the cache.

The roller coaster of the YP
Pretty lame
There's even a 'T-Junction' at the bottom of the dip,
and another at the top [:o]
So probably not a good idea to get too enthusiastic when driving through it
All quiet today at the dipper,
and with the geomobile parked "YP style",
blocking half the road,
a quick cache find was made
TFTC and fun ride [^]

Nice to revisit the beach that I spent long summers on and the cliff top that we would play on. Thanks for the memories.
**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! The caches I am logging in this batch were ones I did in 2016. I cache with an assortment of cachers and never alone. In 2016 I cached with Moneydork, Ride the GeoWalrus, Locus Cacher, Liz & Bruce and Team Zouk. My log should match up with one of theirs. I enjoy every cache find I have made and do not for one second take for granted the effort going into each one, its just I'm very bad at logging my finds and I'm trying to improve. To improve I have to reduce the quality of my log and just get it over with -- for now. If I can form a good habit again I will return to my once more meaningful logging. Thanks heaps for hiding caches around South Australia that I could find!
Nice easy find on a caching jaunt with geoteen and her cousin (a caching newbie) during our long weekend Black Point getaway. TFTC
Out on a caching run with stavros08 and sharkbait2005. Was a good morning with awesome views and interesting hides. On the return travels now, looking forward to some dip and refreshments. TFTC
Found with DeltaDucks and Stavros08 on a family holiday to Port Vincent. TFTC

Camped at Port Julia for a couple of nights but it is misty rain today so decided to go for a drive and grab a cache or two along the way. This was #1 of 6 that we found. A very quick find so soon had the cache back in its hidey hole after signing the log. Thanks for pacing and maintaining this cache Rocky Glen Grommets. A great way to tour around this wonderful country of ours. TNLN SL TFTC
