Apologies for late correspondance. The Brisbane City Council still hasn't restored the park and it's access road is blocked off. Am I able to de archive this one myself in the future when they reopen the park?

As there's been no cache to find or log to sign for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Hello fellow Geocachers, I do intend to replace this cache however, the park sustained major flood damage and all the landscaping surrounding this cache was washed away. The council is slowly restoring this park and should re-landscape the area where this cache was. At the moment the area is covered in washed up gravel from the river ane the area is quite exposed as all the small trees have gone as well. Hopefully not too much longer, hang in there
Sorry folks, the park is closed with a no entry sign and barricades. The council is doing a flood clean up in there at he moment. As soon as it's open again I'll get in there and look for where it was.
Thanks Loki, it's probably washed away I'll have a look this weekend but until then it's disabled. Thanks for the note.
Hi Gib69, Planning our Sunday outing and from nearmap it looks like this one may need to be disabled until you get a chance to get out there and check on it after the floods? Thanks
couldnt find it unfortunately gah ! but Im going to go back with precious pete and check again . after looking at the map again i can see where i may have gone wrong. Since i dont use a gps it can be hard sometimes... but so much more rewarding in the end ahahah
Had a late night attack on this one seeing as I couldn't see it during the day on two previous occassions. Got there just after midnight, and finally found it. I can't believe I missed it the other times.
Thanks for the challenge.

It was well hidden. I like it when people put some creative thinking into their cache and how it's hidden. Good fun to find.
AAAAARRRGGHHHH. This one is doing my head in. Second time looking and empty handed after another 1/2 hr search. Even with clues from a friend who recently found it. I must be cache blind.
YES! Found it at last after 3rd attemptted.. I dont know why I miss the last time.
Love your clever cache.
Nice to meet you again at oz mega.

My second attempt at this one, I don't know how I missed it the first time, a good hide, no swaps made, thanks
This was the second attempt at this cache, and finally success. Good practice getting to know the ins and outs of a new GPSr as well. As per previous logs, well done GIB69 it is a great hide.

Found it after searching for 15 minutes & nearly giving up. Had myself and the 2 kids and the dog all running around scratching at the ground until I managed to stumble upon the cache. Great hiding spot!
New Cacher, first find. The leaf litter made it challenging. The Kids loved it. TNLN. TFTC.
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 1:25pm. What a great hide and in a great river park. In: TB Cito Geocoin Out: TB Thingy TFTC
No free rides alright, he makes me look just like the rest of you have to!!! After a short search I did find the 'Tupperware'. Sorry, I left the TB. TFTC
Spent a lot more time than I expected searching for this one. I think all the recent wind has deposited a lot of leaf litter. Finally found the "thing" in the hint after doing my scrub turkey impersonation for many metres around GZ. After signing the log, I put it all back carefully and covered it as I found it. Sorry, no free rides from Lat&Long .
Found today, this was our second attempt, had tried to find it some time ago with no luck, even today I had to read the clue several times, I knew it had to be there but couldn't see it. Nice hide. TFTC
I got to GZ and must have searched around for 10 minutes without luck, then started to doubt the coordinates and looked around other gumtrees for another 10 minutes. Then I took a deep breath, went for a walk and came back hopefully with fresh eyes - and there it was . Cleverly camoed. Took dinosaur TB, left Clifton Bridge geocoin.TFTC GIB69.
This time I walkd straight to it. Do not know how I managed to miss it on the first attempt. Quick find at 1300. TNLN TFTC.
On tour with Toutotatis today. This one took us a while. Clever hide. Luckily there was no one else around so we had all the time in the world.

Found by Penguiny at 1420hrs after about 20min of searching. Even with the clue, the cache took a while to find.
GZ looked like it had been taken to by a raffle of bush turkeys (I too did not not know what the collective noun for a group of turkeys was ). After gently probing likely areas, so as not to cause any further mess, I grabbed a stick and ended up resorting to Poke-poke-poke-THONK! method of cache location. Cache was found hidden under at least an inch of leaves and debris.
On finding the cache, though, I was impressed with the thought that's gone into it's design. Took the 'Travelling Around the World' TB. LNSL.
Thanks for the cache, GIB69. Great hide.
I left the camoflague at the top of the cache visable, so hopefully the next cacher won't have to dig up the garden to find it, although it's location will mean that leaves will build up over it.

Hello fellow cachers. The cache IS there. If you zoom in as far as you can on the satellite image it shows you where it is (a few feet from the base of the gum tree that's near ground zero, between a couple of small saplings). This may have been how Gunnie 69 found it. I have added a picture of the top of the cache hide showing the x in sticks. Happy caching

Will claim a DNF. Spent about an hour looking for this one. Searched an area of about two meters diameter of where GPSr indicated Co Ordinates placd GZ. The area had certainly had a good going over with the surrounding surface well and trully disturbed. Will come back another day next trip to Brisbane.
Afraid this another DNF for this cache. Dropped in with Tratty to try our luck, but it appears someone or something had been around earlier, as there was quite a bit of disturbance around GZ. We wandered around for a good while scratching our heads, looking and waiting for something to jump up and say "here I am", but alas it wasnt to be. Unfortunately due to the previous activity even the clue was of no assistance. Will come back another day, as it may be we were just not looking in the right place, and this sounds like a well disguised cache. Thanks anyway. Cheers
Cache check following DNF. Cache, contents and GZ coordinates all good. Dropped in a couple of TB's I picked up on the weekend. Happy caching.
Couldnt find it after search with ALL7 due very muddy and slippery.
will come back when its dry.
thanks
will come back when its dry.
thanks
Bombs Away... *FTF* #10 for Gunnie69.
I love it when the sun comes out just in time for a new release... [^]
I was alerted to this new cache shortly after arriving at work... Could I sneak an early lunch, or maybe a little extra time for morning tea... Sure I can... Only problem was, the key instrument for a cache hunt (GPS) was sitting at home on the coffee table... DOH...
Not to worry, I had the Nuvi in the car and surely that will get me to GZ so I can hunt from there... [^] Off I went with a google maps pic and the mighty Nuvi.
At GZ, there was not a sign of disturbed camo and the Nuvi wasn't helping me much now it had done it's initial job of getting me close. Way too many hidy holes here and it took quite a while to spot the booty....
This is a very creative cache and the hide is extremely impressive for GIB69's first. If this is a sign of things to come, I look forward to the next in the GIB69 series. Hats off my friend.... [^]
I grabbed your coin and the resident TB for my trouble. I am heading to Australia's capital next week and will drop them there for a taste of the cold... May as well rack up some K's on the first move...
