Another blue dot on my map means I will have to return another day to search for this one. After a tasty pie and sauce for breakfast I headed to a known location to pick up some rubbish, enjoyed a colourful sunrise and poked a bear . It was then that I decided to make the most of this early start.I headed home, hopped on my bike , rode a couple of trains and followed a trail of caches into the vines .A most enjoyable day/night down south finding treasures.TFTC xibatKeep smiling
No sign of it anywhere. Lots of bugs and spider webs around so Im not going to look too hard.
Found on our bike ride down here we saw a kangaroo chomping on grass in the field nearby.
We look around and went near the creek and nearly slipped and fell in but we found the geocache and traded a couple things out.

The anti-flotation device did not work. The cache is gone and there is no sign of it. It must have floated way down the creek.
Will replace the cache in the next few days.

Looked all around. Couldn't find it anywhere. Hoping it hasn't been carried away in any of the recent downpours.
Well, the anti-floatation device seemed to possibly be in the wrong spot as it wasn’t need the coords that were given and just looked out of place were it was. Searched all around but couldn’t locate the cache
Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. Our thanks to the COs who have contributed to the great time we have had on our Geo-guided tour.
We arrived in McLaren Vale today. After setting up camp we enjoyed a walk along the rail trail. This cache was soon in hand, logbook signed and cache replaced as found. Thanks xibat

I parked up at the visitors centre and after a quick refuel I headed out on to the trail for a wander and a cache. This was so close where I started I walked over for a look. It has to be a bridge to somewhere but it did look out of place! A quick find here. TFTC xibat

Hi xibat, I found Bridge To Nowhere today. I am visiting McLaren Vale for our school holidays in Victoria. Collecting a few smilies on the way.
And what a lovely Bridge it is.
Many thanks xibat for providing and maintaining this game piece for our enjoyment.

I completed several things on my Saturday list, then headed south to grab some caches on a glorious sunny afternoon. I had solved a few puzzles in the area and was aiming to get to Willunga by the end of the day. This never eventuated, I underestimated how long some of the Cats and Dogs caches might take. Never mind, I still managed over 30 caches, the last one found in the dark using torch light, I miss DLS.
Thanks for the cache Xibat. I came here several years ago and this one was a DNF. I found it today in about 20 seconds, go figure. The cache was safe and easily spotted, dry and in pretty good condition. I was unable to determine what the anti flotation device was. Book signed and put back a little further in so as not to be seen from above. Find #6359 at 2.32pm. A small pond of water just up the creek.

Container wasn't shut properly but log in tact. Fixed, shut properly and placed back
Out for an afternoon caching on the bike today. Found this one very quickly. What a strange bridge. Good to see a large cache round these parts!
Working on the McLaren-old Noarlunga part of this trail after school every Wednesday. TFTC
Too muddy to explore fully. Pretty sure we could see where it was but needed big gumboots to get
There’s a challenge cache somewhere where you have to visit caches on their birthday. Close, but no cigar! I love the high tech antifloatation device. TFTC.
Out chasing numbers again and today it was the October OTD and the Bletchley series and anything else that seemed like a good idea. Managed to finish what I'd planned just on dark with over 60 finds and only 2 DNFs.
Thanks to xibat for putting out this cache for me to find

Fearing Magpies swooping me all day there was none which was welcoming [^]
Arrived at this one and the GPS had me searching the wrong side of the 'bridge to nowhere'
A sturdy bridge it is and a nice place to hide a cache of a decent size [^]
After a bit of a 'Which side' dilemma i was onto it and the find was made
I had a chuckle at the "heavy object's purpose" name, ha ha

I had a peek over the 'other side' and discovered it really is a "Bridge to Nowhere"

Visited cache yesterday.
It is old and dirty and wet. This is to be expected considering where it is.
Put in a new log book with as much water sealing as possible.
I will replace the box with a new one when the creek has dried out in the warmer weather.

It seems the anti flotation device may have been too effective - cache is soaking and there is no log. Great spot though!
Took us a while but eventually found it tucked away with @Lasties01. Loved the anti-flotation device idea. Tftc .
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Today's target was this Premium Cache. We were looking for a hide to release "Adam's Bicycle Geocoin". This one suited the bill, as it is on/beside a bike path. Good luck Adam (our son) I hope you get to visit Tour de France and come back and tell us about it.
Thanks xibat for the location and the hide.

Stopped here for a quick find whilst doing the OTD series
Today I headed to McLaren vale to clean up a bit more of the area and mainly target the OTD series. The weather was crap and not the best day to be out in a bike for 2 hours whilst it’s belting with rain.
Managed to also run into 2ysTassies along the way.

Was a little early between lunch and checking into accommodation so went caching. Loved the anti flotation device! Thanx
Quick find thanks to previous logs. I was impressed with the innovative technology of the anti-flotation device.TFTC #444.
Found while wandering along the creek bed as part of a nearby CITO, gloved up and bag in hand. Cache was found easily enough, nice to find a large container. Given the weight I was expecting to find heaps of swaps, but it turns out it was just an anti flooding device.
TFTC xibat!

A bit disappointed because it seems that the trackable is missing. Easy find. Nice spot and definitely leads to nowhere. Tftc

Good coordinates led to a quick find just where i thought it would be. -----SL-----TNLN-----TFTC
Collected a few caches this morning before packing to head home at the end of our time in McLaren Vale. Tftc Love the installed device:).
Also followed my instinct and found it. An army of ants was passing by, but I did not fight with them. TFTC.
Should have gone with my first instinct instead of battling my phones poor gps lock under the trees! Left a unicorn treasure. TFTC
Wow this cache has been thru the wars but the inside is still clean alltho 2 or 3 dud pens, luckily i had my own , thought i had better rescue the storm trooper so took travel bug tftc
Today i walk the shiraz trial and found this cache.
Thanks for the interesting walk.
Thanks for the interesting walk.
Decided I needed to go for a walk. It was way too hot today. If the heat keeps up will go home soon. Too hot for a kiwi here
We decided that walking in this area would be a great way to spend a beautiful holiday Monday and find a few caches along the way. We liked the contents of this cache except for the plastic spider that gave Mama Llama a surprise! TFTC
I joined fellow members of the Puzzled Puzzlers Group (S.A. Sewer Rats, doctor owl and blackadders) for a day with a mission.[8)] - Get S.A. Sewer rats to a find totaol of 4999 so that she could go and find SFE - 5000 finds for her magical 5000 th find. . Should be a piece of cake. But finding a group of caches that we all hadn't already had at least one find on was near impossible. [xx(] So we ventured down south and when I joined the others we still needed almost 30 finds.
Needing another quick half dozen or so to reach the target required we relocated to here for yet another walk and grab fest. [:o)] What you talking about Willis? The bridge leads to a cache. I can't think of a better reason to have a bridge. So we used said bridge and found said cache. Enough said. [8)]
Thanks xibat for this cache.

Owl joined Blackadders and Brisal5 in a quest to find SA Sewer Rats her 5000th cache. They headed south in search of power trails and easy finds to make up the numbers and largely failed in their quest, though the magical 5000 was finally made. Owl was feeling a bit adventurous at this point, so she was able to get a good view of the cache and direct the Snake to it. The bridge does lead somewhere - to that vineyard!
It was organised by the wise Owl Starfish and Snake to help Mrs Rat get to 5000 finds.
So the Snake picked Mrs Rat up and we met up with Dr Owl.
We then met up with the starfish at another cache.
We had a mammoth task to find 30 caches, before a dash to the 5000th cache.
The adventurous Owl fly in for a closer look, while the snake slithered to area of the cache.
The owl direct the Snake to the cache.

Generic Log :
At an recent event there was a whisper that a particular Rat was nearing her 5000th find and that she only needed 30 to reach the goal. Mr. Blackadder, hearing this thought Hmm what an opportunity to get out on such a wonderful day with a small but fun group of fellow cachers and to witness the big 5000 finds he would invite himself along. Picking up Mrs SA Sewer Rat, meeting an Owl and then meeting up with a Starfish would make for a good day out. With a few minor disagreements on the navigation aspect we finally made a number of finds including of course this one. Many were easy and a few were not so obvious however smileys were eventually gained. TFTC and if appropriate, the series, some of which will need to be completed at a later date.
