Had solved the puzzle some time ago but only now out for the find. A short distance from home it was a quick walk to GZ. Unfortunately only an empty cache container was found. Touched base with the CO who confirmed it was the correct container and that it appeared it had been muggled. Permission to log the find given and container subsequently removed after being archived. TFTC
Had a good look around, found what might have been the cache container, but nothing else. CO advised
Another muggling.
Thanks for the memories!

Out and about for a few hours with caching colleagues but only once the rain went away early afternoon. It was cold and windy but we were rugged up to ensure we stayed out for the required time to achieve our daily solid hour of exercise. Achieved!
Fun, educational puzzle. Quick find of a nice new container still in place despite the big our tree trunk is decaying before our eyes. TFTC Fore!

Thanks to all my geofriends I have the correct coordinates for the GZ. Unfortunately even after a PAF who assured me I was in the correct place I couldn't find anything even slightly resembling a cache. Thanks anyway Fore!

It took me a long time to solve this cache. I would do a bit, put it down and pick it up again a year or more later. Very happy to finally get it solved.
At gz I found a container and pencil but no log sheet. After a good search to be sure I had the right spot, I placed a temp container with log sheet and left the bits from the old container in place. I contacted the CO and have approval for my find.

One of a number of puzzles looked at during lock down and now in town for the weekend for some collecting. On getting close to GZ we spotted the likely host and with a bit of a look soon made the find as the rain started again. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Yay!!! Out for an afternoon of pokemoning and caching with GLISS! Swung by to grab this awesome little cache. Such a beautiful area and a great little puzzle. Thanks for the cache!
Found with Nibletricecakes. I enjoy this park - the history, the views. Thanks for bring me here.
This was a nice and easy puzzel, refreshing some memories. I allways liked this topic in biology in school as it was so nice math based. After a quick solve the other day tonight was the time to go to GZ it looked easy enough as I only had a few minutes before I needed to go and pick up Dino. I ended up making one big round to find it close to where I had started took about 5 minutes in the dark. I am gald it was winter though and one had not to worry much about wiggly sticks

fitzy_1965 picked me up after work so we could head out to Franklin for a CITO. Liz&Bruce were in Goulburn last night so they came in with fitzy also for a day of caching.
After the picked me up, we were about an hour early for the CITO so decided to pick up a few caches in the area first.
Liz&Bruce had this one solved so I was happy to tag along....and they were happy that I did, as I came up with the find....Bruce did the honours of retrieving.

It better to have the full complement. Short arm deletion of number 5 was always of interest to me. Yes - something about a cat.

Having travelled all the way from Brisbane to attend the Mega event over the Easter long weekend, I was out and about from just after sun up with the aim of collecting as many caches as possible on my lengthy wish list. With the influx of cachers in town for the Mega I had tried to avoid the more popular caches, such as power trails, as much as possible. With the event winding up today and a lot of cachers heading home, I thought this was an ideal day to pick up some challenge caches.
With most of the challenge cached on my to-do list for the day now complete, I started looking at some other caches in the area including this one. This was another puzzle I had solved prior to my trip south, and an interesting variation on some other puzzles I had solved based on a similar topic. With good coordinates the cache was a pretty quick find. TFTC

The Clear Water Mega event finished yesterday, but I have decided to stay on for a couple of days to seek out a few more caches that interest me and explore more of Canberra and surrounds.
Today my main aim was to finish off the last half dozen or so challenge caches that I was wanting to get and find a few other target caches to the north of the city. Once again it has returned to great weather, which was just as well as my days activities involved a couple of long walks.
This puzzle was solved at home, back in Adelaide in anticipation of my visit and was a quick find at GZ.

GZ seemed an interesting area. I really should have spent more time exploring. Way before the suburb I used to come horse riding on some property out here that had horse riding. I am trying to remember the name. Was it connected with this track? I do remember a large brick homestead. There was a long dirt drive up to it. I also left a watch in a paddock when I fell off during a mock fox hunt, riding with a group from the homestead riding stables. Maybe it will be dug up one day in someone's garden and they will wonder where that came from. Nice place for the cache. TFTC Fore!

Images checked on both the app and in the web browser, after dumping the page from computer’s cached pages, and the images still all appear and are correct. Not sure what issue you’re having, but the page is ok.
Sorry, my mistake. I saw 'broken link' images on my browser, but they did not affect the puzzle and nothing is missing. Sorry again
After a couple of DNFs I was happy that the solution for this one worked out in a quick find of this cache. It was nice to visit this park again, still plenty to discover here.

Headed out on another lovely Sunday afternoon drive with AngelG27 to pick up a wide variety of caches. I found some puzzles I'd solved, my first multi and my first TB which was all very exciting. It was a worthwhile trip for AngelG27 too!
This solve was pretty straight forward after labouring many hours on Mendel's Peas! However the find was a different matter. After a good few minutes AngelG27 spotted it. So many hiding places to choose from! Also picked up my first TB here. TFTC

Headed out again on a fantastic Sunday afternoon with Sleepy Snowleopard to grab some caches , including a few puzzles she had solved! I got 8/8 for the afternoon and she found 10/10, including her first multi and picking up for first TB.
Can't remember solving this puzzle, but must have, as I found my workings in THE BOOK! Took a few minutes at GZ to uncover it, so many options!

After my restart yesterday evening i extended my walk this evening out to collect a puzzle i have had in my solved queue for some time now, yet another Fore! cache too
After walking to GZ and waiting for a muggle to pass by i began my search. After a short time i had cleared all the obvious spots and spotted something out of place, log was soon signed and cache returned to it's original location with a new present for the next clever cacher who solves this one.

The second find of the day with Rapidlywild. Having finished all my work in preparation for the CITO event, I was also in a position to attend the *Surf Coast Event Information Comes to You* event today. However, I did not have a way of getting northside today as my parents were busy. Rapidlywild kindly offered to drive me there, with the possibility of collecting a cache or two along the way.
With a few minutes to spare before the event started, I asked Rapidlywild if we could shoot by this cache as I had DNFd it some time back. I knew my solution was right but I'm pretty sure the conditions weren't conducive to an extensive search last time. Even though it was drizzling, with a bit of a nudge from Rapidlywild, I narrowed my search field and soon had the cache in hand. Log signed and cache replaced. TFTC Fore!

Had this one in the solve but unfound pile for ages so today I wanted to make the collect on the way home from a Duck Dash event and mini geomission After all it is National Science Week!
The puzzle was quite easy to solve So once this labrat had all my loci in the correct positions and hence, a set of coordinates formulated, up they went to GPS for a day to collect.
Wandered down from the car and after a quick examination of GZ, I had the cache in hand for the signing!
Thanks for the puzzle, Fore! - Always love a good science puzzle (especially yours!) so giving this one a fave!

It was quite a bit easier than I expected, but the find itself was quite hard! I couldn't see it until I used a torch.

Sorry but I didn't like this puzzle!
I had managed to solve this back in 2011 and I remember it NOT being easy at all. By memory I now it took a few goes of bringing it back out of the "Too hard" basket to only keep putting it back. For two days I worked solidly on it and finally managed to solve it.
Then the cache sat in my "Solved-Need to find" basket for 5 years!!
FINALLY after what seemed liked decades we were finally standing at GZ.
This cache hadn't been found for a good while which made the hunt even fiercer - we had to give it the loving it needed.
Probably spent a good half hour looking and we kept getting drawn back to the same place. Rapidlywild managed to see it so our grins were getting bigger and bigger until it was finally exposed!
WHOO HOO how cool was that, have to say it felt great walking away knowing that our efforts were rewarded. Thanks for the frustration and fun Fore! [^]

Plans were in place to do a little geocaching around Canberra with Coruze and grandson. We attended an event and grabbed a couple caches that have been on my nemesis list for a while.
This is one ive had solved for quite a while and today Coruze and I decided we would make the find. Seeing the DNF back on 25/10/2015 had us worried after 10+ minutes searching. Eventually, after getting into many akward positions, I soon had the cache spotted and working out how to get it was the next task. Ahh finally got the bugger, signed and replaced.

Visited with Trodectus, had a search of what I thought would be possible hides for size of cache. Unable to locate. T then tried to retrieve cache from where he had perviously found but was unable to do so.
I solved the puzzle some time ago and today I decided to go for the find. Thankfully there were few muggles around and none that I could see when I was searching. Soon had CIH. It is an interesting area to which I'll need to return. TFTC
After a dnf last visit, we were back for the new multi and I brought Pagan along for an extra set of eyes. Always an amazing view and Pagan managed to spot the cache in short order. Tricksy one! Thanks Fore!
#1164 I had to find this cache as I needed to locate gz so I could place a new cache of my own. It took a couple of attempts to solve (on paper) but luckily, I was satisfied enough with my answer enough to venture back up the hill and find the well concealed cache. I guess this cache was placed before the hilltop was a heritage area; I would not try that now. Thanks Fore! the very interesting puzzle. I have no idea how it could be applied in real life, (apart from caching) but it was interesting all the same.

This was solved months ago, end of last year I believe. I live pretty close in Gungahlin but haven't had the chance to come out and make the find
There were lots of places to look at GZ, and I thought it was going to be a tiny, clever hide. DARN it I should of checked the size of the cache first oh well 10 mins later I found the cache and kicked myself since it was pretty easy and I shouldn't of spent so long on the other object nearby. Nice puzzle too, thanks

I was fairly confident with the puzzle and soon had a set of coordinates. Arrived at GZ today and it looked like a great spot for a cache. It matched previous logs with the views and plenty of hidey holes but despite an extensive search, I just could not locate it today. There are definitely plenty of nooks and crannies to hide in. Enjoyed the views anyway on this gorgeous day and took the opportunity for photos. 'Til next time.
Kick out of house... dragon1982 and i drive to north for geo... beautiful warm today.. hide well.. Thank
(331) The puzzle: I'd looked at this several times and shied away from it. On the weekend I decided to take my time and see if I could work it out. I read and reread the instructions, then tried a few things with pencil and paper. After a while my brain actually switched on and I found I was making progress. Love it when that happens. I had a solution that appeared good and some coordinates that appeared very good.
The find: The rain stopped for a while tonight so I drove to near GZ. As I got closer and closer to the cache, the rain got harder and harder. Found the hide after a few minutes. The rain was at its heaviest at this point so I walked back to the car and signed the log there, to keep the log from getting wet. Wouldn't you know it, as I returned to GZ to put the cache back, the rain stopped!
Tks for another science puzzle Fore!

Well, it's definitely less muggley here on a cold night, with the threat of rain! Took a few minutes of going over all of the hidey holes, but I eventually spotted the container. By the way, it's a great view from here, probably even better at night than by day.

I only solved this in January as I started my push to get down to zero unfound ACT puzzles. It was pretty easy to understand.
Today I search for quite while as there were many dark hidey holes, but the GZ was so obvious that I was sure it had to be there somewhere and eventually I was proven right.

A few conversations with the CO over this one.....and the answer was usually....read the description and all will be good. (I think I preferred the coversation with you and young Toy Hunters at Albury....at least that was funny)....
Anyway, I had a little (read lots of) help from an army friend who had a few pages of calculations that made perfect sense to her.....but still left me scratching my head, but at least a GZ as sorted. Headed out today to check the calculations, and was about to leave emptied handed when one last place was checked....and low and behold, there was the cache. (Pushed in a little too far maybe, but still easy enough to grab.)
Thanks Fore!...got here in the end. Only one SA to go I think.....

We had attempted to do this one at the start of the year, as it is quite close to my brother's house, but there were barriers in place with work going on inside. We noticed the barriers had gone so we ducked in to get this one. Such a nice area and looking well kept at the moment. TNLNSL TFTC
Given that this cache became my closest unfound to home, it was just a matter of time beFore! I sat down to solve it, and then head to the final location.
I had no idea that this area had received so much work in recent time - I shall have to come back when I have more time and have a proper look around.
Overlooked the cache container initially, however second time around I saw it, and quickly retrieved it.
Thanks for the cache.

Oh my gosh. That was like pulling out hens teeth. Another science degrees fore's cache ticked off the list. Today I was on a 30km ride and got to near gz and noticed a sign saying keep out. Looks like they have been doing some rabbit control at the site. Unlike the puzzle I made a quick find at gz TFTC
found and logged at the end of a hard weekend of work and cacheing great hide and clever to.TFTH
Felt like a cartoon character here hunting rabbits. A bold hide that will becme harder as the area buils up. As soon as the watcher was spotted we went into auto mode and played the oh aw ah look at this and look at that.
JABs.

Enjoyed the research needed to unravel this nice little puzzle. In the end it wasn't real hard at all.
At GZ the cache was found and as it was being returned we spotted the muggle in the window of the house across the street watching us. With some discrete movements and some pointing to the distance the cache was returned and the muggle disappeared from the window.
Hope it doesn't get muggled

I expected this to be just west of the initially posted coordinates until I plugged the solution into google maps. Turns out I've been past the cache area several times without realising it...
Quick find with a few builders about, it was lying exposed and not at all hidden! SL and added extra camo...

The method for solving this one was pretty familiar to me because I recall doing similar calculations at University in one of my evolution electives. It was fun working through the steps again, it brought back good memories. The cache was a straightforward find and I was off on my way to another Fore! cache!

We had solved this one before leaving home and fortunatley it popped up nearby by.
At GZ we felt a little guilty wandering through the gates as the sign implied we weren't meant to be doing this.
The nearby builders didn't seem to mind so we went in.
Thanks for the puzzle and cache.

Wasn't intending to find this one on this trip but we were in the neighbourhood so gave it a go.
The puzzle came out one night on the way home on the train and I was surprised it was solved relatively easily (just follow the instructions!).
We negotiated all the new surburbia to near GZ then a short walk over the rabbit holes provided a nice view of the surrounds. Geez these houses are packed in tightly around here. TFTC!

Normally Mr J - looks at a puzzle and solves it. This one he looked at and thought it was too hard. So today on my last day of holidays and with the procrastination from doing my assignment I thought I might give it a go. I actually solved it fairly quickly and easily however when looking on google maps thought it can't be there. That was when I called in for reinforcement Mr J solved it another way and then another. The third was the most logical remembering a conversation via emails about our own local cache. So a quick trip out and cache found easily.
Thanks Fore! it means I can say I almost solved a mystery cache.

Thankfully i could let Cheesy pig take the fall for not figuring this one out, so i came away smelling of roses Genetics almost made me fail 2nd year Bioscience at uni, but luckily I managed a 'pass'!!
Nice easy find for this one, although i am a bit stunned by how close they are putting the houses together in this area! TFTC!

Oh my goodness. Genetics makes my brain hurt and after a series of emails back and forth in relation to this and a couple of other puzzles I actually offered to allow Fore to beat me with a cricket bat. She promised to bring one to the event do I guess we will see what happens. After all that it was an easy find. tftc
An enjoyable puzzle (as always, Fore!), but a bloody annoying ride round in circles.
Is the whole of Canberra being dug up and fenced off, or just the bits with caches in them?!?
I was a few hundred metres east of GZ, and ended up doing a giant semi circle (diameter roughly 2.5 km) to find an entry point.
And there were builders EVERYWHERE!
And then it took me ages to get the log out...
Find #6 for the day.
TNLN
Thanks

After spending some time on the holidays and getting some help with a bunch of puzzles, now I am starting to polish them off!
Yet another interesting puzzle Fore! and a nice easy find at GZ!

Solved the puzzle some time ago thinking I would be out this way back then....then all caching plans got abandoned until end of semester. So I can't remember if I thought the puzzle was hard or easy...but I solved it and found it so mustn't have been too bad. I have vague recollections of doing these calculations in biology in high-school ....but 25 yrs has dulled the memory somewhat....lol!
Solved the puzzle a while ago! Not even all THAT hard, once I got going! - And there I was, putting it off, expecting it to be hard! Nice hiding spot! Interesting too - I dropped the lid to the cache, and when I picked it up, hundreds of little red stones stuck to the magnet! - Love it! TNLN, thanks Fore!
The puzzle was worked out easily enough, but there was some uncertainty about GZ with only Google Earth Street Maps as a reference. Those images (and our maps) turned out to be way outdated with the development going through the area, but at least the cache area is untouched. TFTC Fore!
Nearly got blown away at GZ with the wind howling.
I like the hide container nice simple and pre-cammo'ed.

Actually enjoyed that puzzle if you can believe it, and co-ords were good. Kids enjoyed location for exploring and finding interesting natural cubby houses. TN left a pen.
