Stoned always meant one of two things when I was at uni many years ago. Impressed by how they used so much limestone in YP world. A bit of deja vue, then realised some geoart is near by. TFTC Rocky Glen Grommets & Dazzatron + Margieh
Nice day for geocaching and hanging out with some friends. Logged the books with HC or Happy Crabbers.
Found on a fun day out and about with 19 other caching teams (logs signed as Happy Crabbers or HC) who set out to complete the Crab GeoArt - TFTC
Travelling with gorgeous Snap Happy and TheDame to the Yorke Peninsular for a few days.We were caching as a huge group today and generally signed the log "HC" or "Happy Crabbers".Thanks so much for placing this cache.
**Found by Snap Happy** *Found whilst out and about for the day crabbing, with 19 of my closest a-cache-aintanes* The teams involved in locating the crab geo art were:GoodLook, TheDame, Jlly, Shandyk, Guz's Travellers, earthlight TheDame, LiB, SpidermonkeysMum, Gizmo's Gang, TubbyBooBoo, Jeffeddy, northstar76, Superman_22, CPwanderer, erine14, locus cache, Gum-Ako, Tk2, honeysucker and myself. Never have I seen so many people happy to get crabs The weather was glorious, the vistas stunning the tracks were dry and quiet and the geotrails were well defined. The containers were easy to spot or located quickly due to accurate co-ords. Logs were signed with the group tag "HC" or Happy Crabbers to save space. The thing I love about caching is the interesting stories, the extra interest and attention you take when traveling, the sight-seeing, the history, the interests of the individual COs, the fantastic photo opportunities and sometimes finding places that even some locals dont know about. I, like most cachers, look for more that a mint tin or a container under a bush. I appreciate the time that most COs take to construct a cache and write up a comprehensive listing and to create an interesting cache. I love traveling this big land of ours. I love taking the roads less traveled. I love the diversity of the land, the different scenes in the different seasons, the fresh air, the open plains, the lofty vistas and the magnificent waters. I even enjoy the longer scenic walks although I'm not as young and as fit as I used to be. I love the different coffee shops I find. I enjoy the times I cache with others but I have usually cached on my own.Thank you Rocky Glen Grommets for highlighting this area and for providing this game piece for our enjoyment. Appreciate your efforts. - P*Took*: Nothing but photos*Left*: Nothing but footstepsSorry for the generic log but doing so many in a day we lost track of individual hides. This does not mean we do not appreciate the enormous effort and expense gone into setting up the series. Many thanks Rocky Glen Grommets for the fun and laughs.**Warning**, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to learning new things and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Cache on! **#19270**
Gotta love a smiley face on the map. Thankyou for placing and maintaining it.
A beautiful day for finding some caches. Good company too: Logs were signed with the name HC or Happy Crabbers. TFTC

Thanks for this cache, Rocky Glen Grommets - it felt like a bit of light relief in the middle of the Crab trail.FP for the cache being in a sensible place !! Greetings from Christchurch, NZ.
Pad a little wet so put it in a zip lock bag. Should be OK now. Easy find with Sarge5556, tftc
Teamed up with ivss_xx for a few days' caching. We were planning to find as many as possible and have fun, and achieved both goals! A refreshing variety among the crabs! TFTC!!
12:55 FITW HinemoanaLogbook wet - that's a novelty. Not that it is a good thing, just haven't encountered a wet logbook around these parts in our adventures so far.I went to have a look at the deep well. Well, the well is not deep at all IMHO. That's not even 2m. Thanks for showing the stonework though, a refreshing stop in-between all the crabbing.Kia ora! Paldies! Thanks for the cache, Rocky Glen Grommets maintaind by Dazzatron/Margieh!#10557
Found as part of the SPBINZ team (Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ, and Nanzie) although Bullertrout has found thisl on a previous visit. Today we are trying to piece this crab geoart back together and this one turned up along the route so it would have been rude not to stop and sign it off as well. TFTC Rocky Glen Grommets and kia ora from Aotearoa/New Zealand # 21,491**Otepoti/Dunedin is the place to be 26-27 October, 2024 for GCA7ZHD - Geo Toroa Mega! Please come and join in the fun, find heaps of caches and experience some wonderful Southern hospitality.**
After yesterday's huge day we are hoping for another day with big numbers but not as many as yesterday. Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ and Nanzie are signing our logs as SPBINZ or sometimes SPINZ as BT has done a large number of caches on the Peninsula. TFTC #15898
Found with SPINBNZ TEAM on our trip to join our other caching friends in Adelaide for the Mega . Nic easy find thanks Rocky Glen Grommets maintaind by Dazzatron/Margieh
Logged with love and compassion. I hope you guys are still racing around all over the place though life will never be quite the same. Caching as team SPBINZ: Sidewaze, Paddlechick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ and Nanzie. Visiting from Nelson, New Zealand and having an awesome time exploring the Yorke Peninsula. Today's first main priority, grab the crab series - - - put that great picture back together again . But of course this one cropped up in our path so we were more than happy to hunt it down and claim the find.Greetings from the Shaky Isles and many thanks for the cache.(V) (,,,,*) (V).
Day 1 on the Yorke before attending the Great Leap Forward.Amazingly ten of us have travelled from the Nelson area (top of the South Island) and as luck would have it, Andy & Gail just happened to be staying in Port Vincent at the same time as me.Much more fun finding geoart in a group so I greatfully accepted an offer to be driven around by Andy for the day while Gail did the expert navigating. We signed the Crab logs as MAG and most of the other finds with our full caching names. We stumbled upon this Traditional while on the trail. An enjoyable day before attending a Fish & Chip Event back in Port Vincent.TFTC
Today we teamed up with Marchwood and headed out for a few caches. To save time and space we signed the logs MAG.Our aim was to do the Crab geoart and then whatever else we came across. Our total for the day was 122 finds. Apologies to the CO's for the cut and paste. Not part of the crab series but you can't drive past a handy cache. tftc#7367
TFTC Rocky Glen Grommets your cache Stoned that we found today. Day 2 in Minlaton. The aim of the day was to complete the Crab GeoArt. It was forecast to be a scorcher today and common sense told us to put this on hold until a cooler today tomorrow. Common sense did not prevail and we started off ad completed the task in just shy of 6 hours. We were hot, flustered and glad to be finished. A couple of cold drinks and we were recovering with the cooler switched on.In between searching form the Crab, we stopped here to make a quick findFind Count: 18010

Catching up with late logsWe headed off this morning to see how we would go on the remaining fishing line series that have been put out since our last visit. We were happy when we got through quicker than expected so we headed up to start on the crab series. This one was so close that we weren't going to leave it behind. Even with this many eyes looking and knowing that it wasn't on the wall it still took us longer than it should have to locate the hide which once spotted was quite obvious. At least we are happy to say that we have added our names to the log.To save room in the log book we signed as RAT4M (Rabbitto, Alansee, Team Crackers, Muzza, mcLookers, micaparamedic and maccamob)Many thanks for the cache..

Found with the JAMS (JJ52, allister w. mogni/michells&hound, sir_spectre) on a Yorke's adventure.
Thanks
Thanks
The JAMS team were heading over to Yorke Peninsula for a couple of days to complete the new geoart along with some more of the fishing line that some of us still needed. It was also a trip to help mogni get closer to a major milestone. We had a fun 2 days with lots of different caches found as well as the Fishing Hook and line, Crab and Seahorse and we performed maintenance where needed.
Day 2, we left our accommodation early and found a few more of the fishing line before heading over to do the Crab then the Sea Horse along with some others that we were driving past.
As we were driving right past this one we sopped to make the find before continuing the crab. [;D]
Thanks for the cache Rocky Glen Grommets. .

found after doing some of the nearby geo art. quick find.
Found with JAMS ( JJ52, Allister w, Mogni, Mitchell&hound plus sir_spectre ) crew. Mogni wants to get to 20, 000 by the Rutherglen Mega in Victoria and make that event her 20, 000 th. Targeted so multi's on the way down to get me closer to 1000 multi's, under 15 to go and got another 8 this trip. So we went out to get some parts of the fishing line geo art that some of the JAMS members haven't completed plus the " Crab ", " The Hook " and the " Sea Horse " geo art series plus some extra caches along the way. By request of one of the members of the fishy tales we swapped the logs sheets for new log sheets ( at least 350 ) and we also removed the 10 mint tins we found and replaced them with preform tubes. All containers found eaten, creacked, broken or with out lids were also replaced with the caches supplied bt the fishy tales group. By the end of the trip we had filled 1 and 3/4 quartes of a standard sized medium bin liner bag with log sheets and broken containers ( some containers not of the geo art series ). Only sighted 2 snakes while doing the geo art but i think i walk though at least 3 dozen spider webs. I found a trackable on the ground about 2 meters from the cache while doing the crab geo art, some people need to be more careful when carrying trackables in their pockets while caching. We stayed in Port Vincent over night. I even got my 18, 000 cache find this weekend, that is probably less surprising since i got just under 400 finds for the weekend. A good weekend away was had by all and it wasn't to hot but i wouldn't have wanted it any hotter.

I have come over from NZ to visit family and do a lot of caching. I am now on the Yorke Peninsula doing the trails and other caches close by. Have been out here before but there are lots of new caches now. Very hot day today. Talked to a few farmers today and Police yesterday and all were happy what I was doing.
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.
(HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Headed north today and picked up the Rat from her nest, then headed west to the Yorke Peninsula. Found a few selected caches then headed for the new Crab geoart. Managed to find half the series before it was time to head back to the little smoke. A good day was had with nice weather and no DNFs.
Noticed this trad while we were reeling in crabs and decided to get Stoned as well. Was glad that the nice stone fence did not need disturbing.
Thanks to Rocky Glen Grommets for the chance to find your cache.

This weekend is a mental health/selfish/me time weekend.
Headed to YP to do as I please which of course meant geocaching.
My plan was to ‘finish’ fishing . It and the geoart will be almost finished bar avenging some prior dnfs.
Was also keen to find some multis and visit a few places I haven’t been to before.
Mission accomplished in my happy place for the day. Only 2 dnfs. Sadly the Pies lost their Prelim final but we love to fight another day. Stansbury was a revelation to me the pub was brilliant.
All up around 130 found for the day.
Was glad this wasn’t in the wall. TFTC

Thanks for the cache Dazzatron and Margieh. Found in great condition, around 6 metres north of where GZ wanted me. Find #6636 at 8.16am on Easter Saturday.
Replaced container as old was very cracked
A short stop here today, managed to find the cache nicely hidden!
With 2.5 days free and nothing to do, what better than to head to the yorke peninsula for a few days. I made a plan of trying to clean up majority of the caches on the peninsula going from cache to cache. Managed to come away with only a few left and 247 finds for the few day trip.

Travelling down from Queensland with my fellow cachers Snickersallan, Waz and Vik, Ardom, Gcoven and JooJoo57. We have planned a week long adventure to collect all the geoart, the fishing line and anything else we can get. Thanks for the cache!
Day 1: Today we completed the Boat and Fishy Tales and some of the fishing line and traditional. We took some time and found a few previous finders DNF’s, also located two GZ that had two caches so we took the spare and replaced a couple where we also had DNF’s with previous finders DNF’s too. We are well and truly stuffed and will sleep so well tonight. Planned out assault for tomorrow where hopefully we will finish the art

A Big week was planned to travel around South Australia, staying in Minlaton, Tarlee and Adelaide. We cache along a number of Trails, managed to grab a few off the beaten track, some well known caches and the odd one that
came up on the map as we were travelling around.
It ended up being a massive week of 2960 odd kilometers travelled, with day find counts of 25, 256, 361, 318, 66, 205, 104 and 76 (yep thats 1411 for the 8 days)
1062 micro, 238 small, 60 Regular, 45 large, 3 Virtual and 3 Other.

A very deep well which I didnt see until pointed out to me.
Found with FUF009.
Based in Minlaton for a few days to have a hack at the Gone Fishn' series, I found 250 caches today. We headed towards Warooka from Minlaton collecting the series and whatever else was along the way.
Once we'd gotten to the bottom of the trail we went around the coast and did whatever else we wanted in our free time.
We found that this section went a lot faster than expected so the extra caches were a bonus.
Highlites of the day for me was collecting 2 years of unloved on a multi and seeing the ocean.
An enjoyable day.
Thanks to all the COs for placing the caches. Nothing was wrong with them unless stated at the start of my log.
The Yorke Peninsula is a marvelous playground for geocachers and indeed we met more than one local along the way who knew what we were up to and very friendly too.
Fabulous.

Apologies for the generic log.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

The scenery at ground zero was lovely and intriguing
The pioneers certainly had a hard time removing all the rocks of their land to farm it
At least the rocks were useful

Easter Weekend - Yorke Peninsular - 3000kms - 640 caches - 4000 cache milestone.
After discussions with Gonefishen07 and Bounty Trackers a plan was hatched to visit the Yorke Peninsular to tackle the fish geo art over Easter. We set out Thursday lunchtime heading to Bordertown, a side trip to Minyip to check out Coopers Crossing was made. Friday we turned off at Murray Bridge and headed to Gawlar to check out Gawlar's Fort Knox, we had lunch at Port Wakefield before heading down to Marion Bay to meet everyone. The group Geo Nerds comprise of Gonefishen07, Zobo04, Bounty Trackers, KTCvic, de ja vu, Velocachu and BorisB&Natasha. We cached locally on Friday afternoon and hit the powertrails in earnest on Saturday where we finished on Sunday lunchtime. We then visited a number of caches on the coast to see some magnificent views. Monday saw us depart Marion Bay heading up to Balranald through Renmark grabbing a cache in three states in one day! A detour to Tocumwal then the drive back to Melbourne saw a fantastic weekend end. Thank you to Leesa, Zoe, Ash, Rob, Kate and Sioux for the fun, frivolity and friendship that made the weekend so great!
Sunday we completed the remaining Fish Tales series and completed the Boat as well. During the Boat Gonefishen07 completed her 4000th cache find milestone, something we achieved 10 caches later. After the power trails were completed we headed west to grab a few caches near the lighthouse and to take in the views before heading to Brentwood to visit the old cemetery (a must do).
What a well and the stonework is amazing, we wondered why the wall only went so far?, our imaginations ran wild with lots of scenarios that kept us laughing for ages. Thank goodness there was not a half naked cacher taking a fresh air bath as we heard others had been exposed to a few days prior.
Thank you for all the placers and cache owners we had a fantastic time!!!

Our third and final caching day on the Yorke Peninsula. After our massive day yesterday we were able to enjoy some sight seeing in the afternoon and 2 milestones of 4000 were also achieved. Cache logs were signed as Geo Nerds, (Bounty Trackers, KTCVic, Gonefishen07, Boris&Natasha, Velocachu & Zobo04). Thanks for placing this cache in amongst fascinating old relics.
Found with Zobo04, Borisb&Natasha and Bounty Trackers. Heading on our way to The York Peninsula for Easter and to catch up with the rest of our group. Sorry for the late logs life sometimes has an uncanny way of getting in the way. I was busy trying to get in front of KTCvic whom we are meeting up with. So lets get as many caches as we can along the way so for 5 minutes I will have more finds. Nothing like a little friendly competition. Thanks for making our trip fun and TFTC

Geo Nerds Yorke Peninsula caching exposition consist of Borisb&Natasha, Zobo04,De Ja Vu, KTCvic, Gonefishen07, Velocachu & Bounty Trackers.
Gonefishen07, Zobo04, Borisb&Natasha and myself Bounty Trackers left on Wednesday morning with one objective, to get Gonefishen07 cache finding count higher than KTCvic who was about 100 cache in front. We spent 2 days straight chasing caches all the way from Gippsland in Victoria to The York Peninsula in SA, where we finally got 8 caches ahead of KTCvic. The smile on Gonefishen face said it all ( I think the comment was made CATCH ME NOW Trenty ).
Along our journey we made a side trip to Gawler to get the multi Fort Knox cache which was on our hit list. What a brilliant cache. Well worth the detour. It will be getting a favorite point from me.
On Friday Velocachu, KTCvic & De Ja Vu graced up with there presents and it was time to start the Yorke Peninsula Geo Art Starting at Hook then Jellyfish, Fish, Anchor, some of Fish Tales,Sammy Starfish and most of the Boat, we then did Sally starfish, and the rest of Fish Tales and then finished with the leftover boat.
Milestone achieved
Velocachu 500
Zobo04 2000
Borisb&Natasha 2000
De Ja Vu 3000
KTCvic 4000
Gonefishen07 4000
Bounty Trackers 4000
Thanks to all the cache owners for the effects in placing such a great series we just loved it.
A BIG THANKYOU to Kate,Rob,Sioux,Katy,Trent,Leesa,Campbell & Zoe for a fun filled Easter long weekend, I had a great time with lots of laughs, thanks again.
