Found it on a beautiful Easter Sunday. Were hoping a train would go past while searching. But no it wasn't to be. Found the cache Not sure if that's where it should be as it was 12 m out. Lots of earth works happening maybe it was shifted. No travel Bug (thank goodness).

This cache is in serious need of attention. It is in really bad shape. The contents are all very wet so therefore no log book to record a visit. Added a piece of paper to sign but it to will get damp soon.
The log book is very wet and the contents of the cache are all manky, it needs a total clean out and a new log book
Disused is not the word for this one, there is no station, just a pile of ruble and dirt. The trackable listed is not in the cache.
The station is no more. We had to wait while a goods train thundered by. I am not sure I like to encourage children to this spot so close to a working line. Cache log very wet and needs attention. Thanks SIDEandHEEK
The cache was quickly found by Aussie M&M on a day out caching in this lovely area. TFTC
Took a little detour from our family walk to grab this one. It's always fun to learn more about the old railways, thanks!
Poor old Carripook not much left, would pass here on the train for hikes in the hills TFTC
Found today on the way home from work.
The log is still pretty wet and i didn't read the previous logs till I got home tonight.
Great spot and a good histroy lesson.
Cheers and happy caching.

Found with Reckhi. Cache is waterlogged and log is soaked. TNLN. Needs maintenance. Couldn't leave our little Lizard there . No travel bugs were present in the cache either
Hello future finders. Can someone please help me dry this cache out and get back into service. If you choose to take it home let me know and I'll disable it until you can return it dry. Thanks
Enjoyed drive around this hill where my brother lives at Bridgewater..
Great spot...

Dropping off offspring with granparents in school holidays makes a good excuse to cache the nearby area.
Did this one totally BFE-style , as I didn't even have the position loaded on the GPSr, so had to remember what I saw on the screen this morning. Given there is little left of the station/stop, there couldn't be that many possibilities. As it was, the first spot I looked yielded gold (or painted plastic).
The lid appears to not fit well with the ball-point pen in there, so log was a bit damp. Dry enough for my pen today. I replaced the dead ziplock with a plastic newspaper wrapper, but they never work on the front lawn. Took nothing else.
Kids across the valley gave me a friendly wave but no-one else around.

I love tracing old railways - these caches have been right up my alley. One of the tunnels down the line is now a mushroom farm, although I don't remember which one. TFTC
It certainly is a disused station these days!
The freight train didn't slow, just continuing to power on toward Melbourne with it's two engines, and 78 carriages.
A nice quick find and we were soon on our way again.

Found in the obvious spot. Not sure if the "wrapping" was intentional or not. Left it there in any case. TFTC.
Quick find on nice sunny day. Enjoyed the short walk. Took magnifying glass left skeleton man TFTC
Found it!
Surprised at the camo for the cache, but had to be there!
Another disused station completed,
a few still to go!
Nothing left of this station at all,
TFTC and the history...

Not too many hiding spot here so a very easy find. Expected to see a body part the way it was hidden but good thing it was a chache. TNLN. Cheers.
Stopped by the overland from melbourne on our way to collect the cache. An easy find once at gz. Cheers
Interesting to find a station even more derelict than the one in my village (Leigh Court, Worcestershire, UK) which was axed by Beeching in 1963.
Admired the many varied spoil heaps and also the Carripook Cube, which must rank as a must-see alongside Sturt's Dunny.
Took bow tie, left Hahndorf crab

found with my two daughters before the 35 degree day kicked into full gear (my 5yo found it which made her day). Note: sorry Moloch the thorny devil TB this is a desolate as I can do in the short term and thought you needed to be moved on). will post picture later.
Mrs Chippyroo took her mum and dad out for a spot of caching. A quick find. Took car and left an Artline pen. As we were crossing the road to get back to our car the bells started to ding and a freight train came past! TFTC
Found early this morning on our morning walk to burn some of those Christmas calories.
No muggles anywhere.
Took cat
Left lizard

A nice quick find after visiting Carripook park for a cache. No trains passing by today, making for a peaceful logging ceremony.
I worked at Keswick rail terminal for a couple of months during 1992 as part of my apprenticeship. I hope that station doesn't end up like this one!
Thanks SIDEandHEEK.

It's hard to believe there was once a station here. We made it a drive-by, although the people in the house across the way must've been wondering why there was a car parked here! Dropped in a coin. TFTC.
On way to geogrankids first t-ball game and did this on the way -obviously just missed the goods train too, as we had to wait down the road for it to pass. Dropped off ladybird TB. TFTC
Found by Mary & David at 0815. What a contrast to Mt Lofty. You would hardly know that there had ever been a station here. Our thanks again to SIDEandHEEK.
Another nice day to be out on the bike in search of more cache's!
Good find. Thanks for the cache!

Found during some afternoon caching. Had to do some other nearby caches while some construction muggles were working meters from GZ turning over soil with large machinery for something??
Had a bad feeling they might have buried or disturbed the cache, but all was well. SL. TFTC.

Just started to hail and rain when I was getting to the cache but managed to stay dry. Easy find. Tnlnsl. Tftc.
Straight forward find, almost got spotted by a couple of muggles that popped out of nowhere coming down the railway line. TFTC
A few night time caches while 2nd daughter plays volleyball at Heathfield
Found (the bits) easily
Cache looked like it had been squashed. Is it s'pose to be under 5 tonne of concrete?? Had been some obvious work in the vicinity, mounds of rock & gravel close by.
Replaced the container, pencil & log book & put original log back in also.
A freight train came thru whilst I was at GZ which threw me a bit.

Nice cache to add to the series. I can remember catching the train to Bridgewater for a day out and also the steam train runs from Adelaide to Bridgewater. It is a bit of a shame that these once hives of activity are no longer use - but do I enjoy the Heysen Tunnells and Bridgewater now being 15 mins from the CBD- of course! TFTC
TFTC easy drive by
Lucky we could drive right up to it because it was raining

Managed to drive up to this one, made the easy find, and then realised we were being watched from across the valley! I wonder how often that happens here. TNLNSL.
Our first find on afternoon out of random acts of cacheing (pick one cache, then randomly pick other caches nearby to find).
Quite enjoying this series.

When these guys demolish a railway station, they do a good job. Not much evidence of it left here.

I only saw the road when I walked to the cache! Drive by here could be problematic if the Overland or Goods was passing. Maybe a bit close for both vehicles!
Clear skies from TeamAstro.
Could have done this as a driveby but I parked on the road. Cache was found in the first place I looked. Not much left here.
Found this one on my way out of Adelaide and on the way home. Enjoying the few that I have found so far in this series.
Parked close for a quick find.

Decided to do this one on the way home from walking the beagle. Found easily. Left a turtle charm and recovered the Keychain Fun TB to move along. Thanks for the cache.
Decided to undertake a tour of some disused stations. This was the first on the list. Found with BantamCT, dropping off KeyChain Fun TB.
Found after a short walk along the track. The neighbours were doing some burning off but we found the cache without being seen. TFTC.
