On a day trip to the Coromandel and thought that Id pick up a multi here but no luck. Think its probably gone.
4-week family trip through NZ - DNF !Because the sign is no longer there,we grabbed the coordinates from an older log. However, at GZ we didn't find anything in about 10 minutes of searching.----DNF #983 - 17 to go ...
Neat area for a cache. Found pretty quickly at 1835. Camo is starting to fall apart.TNLNSL TFTC
Cache not there. We found what looks to be the cache but it may have been left out to long.
I was driving from Coromandel up to Colville, then on to Port Jackson for a few days of hiking. Stopped here and by using the information in previous logs I was able to make a quick find of this multi cache. TFTC!
Today I was driving around the Coromandel but the weather was not nice. So many caches I could not do.
Many thanks to all the Owner.
READ THE LOGS THAN YOU CAN FIND EASY.

Staying in Whitianga for a long weekend on a day trip to Coromandel and doing some caches while we are here. Thanks to the cache owner for placing this cache.
Used the wrong sign initially and then checked the logs. Found using co ords provided by previous finder. A lovely spot and worth the visit.

While I was visiting my father in-law's grave at the nearby cemetery.

Our trip to Coromandel was so Nette could attend to her father-in-laws grave in the nearby cemetery. While she did that I headed across to sign our names in the log. We were able to get this cache thanks to co-ords in a previous log as the sign is no longer there. Easy find with no one around
I had a quick scout around the building, saw no sign, so sat down to read previous logs.
Thank you to the kind cacher who gave the final co-ords, it would have been a shame not to be able to search.
I eventually found the correct hint object. The cache is *not* at the lower level ! I slipped in the mud & was grateful to be able to change / tidy up in my motorhome.

The white sign on the building is no longer there. Fortunately we managed to find a picture of the building including the sign to work out the final WP

Found again some 10+ years later, this time with my wife Reny90. The white sign is now missing from the stamper battery, but we managed to Google it and find the answers. Also removed some truly vulgar material in the cache. Very disapointing whoever put that in there.
(# 7116) A flying visit up north by flying into Hamilton and then hitting the road up to the Coromandel primarily to get some geotour caches. A quick find. Had a quick wander around the site. I love these pieces of history. Thanks for bringing me here.
Spending a few days in the Coromandel during the school holidays. Today was a beautiful day, so decided to visit a few bays north of Coromandel town, but stopped here first. Looked around the building, saw the huge waterwheel, but not the correct sign. Fortunately we checked out previous logs and the cache was soon in hand. TFTC
Yippee! Have had so much trouble today around the area but found this one no problem. Great place to explore. Left a TB. TFTC
Ok I should have read the earlier logs first. Went around and around looking for the white sign, and tried to solve the puzzle from the yellow sign before we realised that the original has gone. Thankfully the hint helps, and the coords given by a previous finder saved the day. The battery itself is interesting but a bit sad looking at the moment and all closed up. Thanks for placing this.
The sign has gone so no way of finding the required numbers but the hint and a recent log helped. Soon had the cache in hand and signed.
Final is at s36 44.579 e175 30.374.
Our last visit to the Coromandel was over 12 years ago so it was good to be back in the area after all of that time. We had spent Christmas away in Northland, and a quiet New Year at home before a 4 day/3 night stay in Coromandel town. We explored up the West of the peninsula up to Fletchers Camp, through the middle and across to the East coast of Whitianga and Whangamata, before heading back home 'via' Waihi Beach, where sadly that lady was killed by a shark whilst swimming, RIP. We found all available TMGT options, a few Earthcaches and saw some great sites and sights. Thanks to all COs for their caches here. We didn't do nearly as many as the Seagnoid and TB dragon whose steps we followed in on some days.

What a great place to visit but sadly closed today. But that makes searching easier. No muggles. Thesign is missing so that makes things difficult. Reading logs and with the hint in mind, we search all the picnic tables and finally snag and tag this elusive one. Cheers .
Day 5 - Tuesday 22 December -Paritu Bay, Coromandel, Thames and back to Coromandel by dark Left Zara resting in Coromandel while we went exploring with Toby. Loved Driving Creek Railway today.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are off on another geocaching escape over Xmas, this time to the mighty Coromandel, then over to Opotiki and stop off at Rotorua to return home on 5 January. Had an fabulous time exploring many wonders of our country. Rounding up over 400 caches along the way, with a few LABS, 20 odd TMGTs, virtuals and lots of interesting earth caches to keep the mind busy. Watching the sun come up on New Years Day at Mt Maunganui was spectacular. Lots of walking and even more driving. But had an awesome time. Thanks to all COs who made this adventure so special.

The sign is missing on the museum building. So we went off and did a few other caches and came back when we hoped the museum would be open so that we could ask about it. That was when I saw in the logs that the sign had been missing for some time, and people were finding the cache easily from the description. So we gave that a go. Must have explored every picnic table but we found the cache. Installed a new logsheet and removed the rusty items.
Taybeedragon and I went on a tour of the Coromandel - one of the few places of New Zealand, especially of Te ika a Maui, that I have yet to explore throughly, and from there along the coast to Opotiki to see one of my many, many sisters. From 18 December to 5 January we found over 400 caches, including 12 adventure labs, 20 or so TMGTs and a host of virtuals and earthcaches. And I hosted an event to see the sun come up on New Year's day - surprisingly popular given that it was at 5am. We climbed a lot of hills, saw some amazing beaches that were quite popular despite (or because of) the insane access to them, walk and lot of bush, entered and explored 8 gold mines and generally had an awesome time. However I am glad to be back, but now is the hard part, and I fear it will take just as long - logging!

This took some searching and geo sense to locate ..finally KL came up with the good ...this cache should be up dated....in the mean time the photo may be of assistance
Following the hint I found 3 green picnic tables before resetting and finding the correct table. Looked for large quartz followed shortly by cache. Put in waterproof log. Thanks for the cache

Very interesting area, this cache needs maintenance as it is only found by reading logs and the cache itself is soaking. Found with fusion_nz
As the previous logs said the green sign is gone so we had to rely on the hint to find the cache. With multiple places to look we finally came to the right spot and found the cache. Great little spot and found with NZGeo. Maintenance required as the log is gone beyond repair.
Find number 6247. Another day with Boges in the Coromandel. Our mission was to do a circuit to clear the area (again) for him and for me to grab a few extras on the way. Stopped in town for a coffee so was sipping it while I looked for the sign. With no luck in that I followed the hint and soon had the cache in hand. Thank you for the placement.
Found it during Coromandel adventure trip with Aiden29. Perfect day for it. First day of Spring and Father`s Day too! Well the hardest task to locate large white sign ... Unsuccessful But we managed to find the cache using hint provided. Beautiful crystal clear water here. And nice bits of history. Thanks for bringing us here.
Tramyard already had plans to complete the 309 Pony Express power trail today, but he asked me if I wanted to join him while we were at an event last night. I jumped at the chance to go on a road trip to the Coromandel - my first time this far up the Peninsula. The weather was perfect, just a little cold and quite foggy along State Highway 2 early in the morning, but once the sun rose we quickly stripped down to our t-shirts (contrary to the last month of weather in Auckland!).
Since we completed the trail just after lunchtime, we headed into Coromandel to continue caching. We spent too long looking for the white sign before reading logs and realising that it is likely gone. We managed to find the cache using the hints. Very interesting location.

Thanks. Did not find the sign to solve the question, but luckily found the cache!
Found while visiting the Coromandel Peninsula on my North Island road trip. I had my picnic lunch here after finding the geocache. The park was nice, and deserted. Found the cache with the hint, as the sign no longer exists. TFTC
Day 24 in Newzealand. Today we drove from Whitianga to Te Puru.
A very beautiful Country with lovely places. We were able to find nice Caches and See Lots of beautiful places.

On a big mission to get a pile of caches so I can land my 7000th cache on either Mnt Ruapehu or Mnt Ngauruhoe on the 16th March! Hoping, weather permitting, that rustynz can join me for her 5000th cache as well on the same day. A bit of planning going into this I can tell ya!
Sign for the info gone and has so has the C.O.

Found with the use of the clue after not reading the instructions properly and trying to get coordinates off the wrong sign. TFTC
Today we had our second day in Coromandel, thereby visiting many other locations and looking for caches, too. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches. The weather was bad all day long, only partly a little bit sunny and rain started early in the morning and was more or less always active during the day.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had other things to do than observing harmless geocachers.
Thanks to marie98 for showing us this location and for the fun we had at Finding Gold (Coromandel Town). The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Unfortunately the park was closed. Fortunately we met there other geocachers and we exchanged some experiences. For the good Location we leave a favorite!
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

When we arrived a car with a TB code at the rear just wanted to leave. They showed us how to go to the cache because some thing was gone. And so it was easy for us to log.
Beautiful spot over here. Took some pictures.

Day 7 in NZ. We had some issues with this one since the sign is missing but thanks to the hint we were able to find it.

Like the previous geocachers didn't see any sign. But had enough to work out where it was hidden. Have been here before and been inside. Reserve is really nice this morning on what looks like another nice day. Grab both tb. Tftc
We didn't find the good sign and the Coromandel Gold Stamper Battery was close for renovation... :/
Day 2 -We had planned a big weekend with 6 of us travelling the Coromandel area and logging caches as team BOP. Found many great spots, several caches we replaced wet log sheets and others missing for some time. Lots of km's travelled on tarseal, gravel and some not so good roads. Lots of rained showers seemed to plague us on the first day. SLTFTC
Found as part of Team BOP what an action packed weekend we had on the Coromandel. Starting at 5am in Rotorua and finishing well into the night on Saturday staying the night at the Holiday park then we were up early and away again finishing back in Rotorua at about 1030pm.
Thanks for all the caches.
Thanks for all the caches.
With Gap (of Fap and Gap), (Mr) Davidson clan, NZFlossy, TNXPro, and Philip.Perry… This is the first time we have cached overnight together. What an adventure… We group signed as Team BOP for efficiency and expediency.
We visited so many beautiful and remote locations on the Coromandel Peninsula. Many of these areas deserved to be hosts to caches. However, we encountered several that needed owner maintenance. Wet logbooks seemed to be far too common (We’ve had a lot of rain). Oftentimes, a sodden logbook was stuffed back into the container with a new, bagged logbook alongside (What's up with that?). And then there were some caches that were quite obviously missing (and have been for a while)… Nevertheless, a huge thank you to all of the COs for bringing us to these amazing places… We are determined to return and explore some more.
This needs attention, as some of the cache elements are no longer in play. We managed to get a find, nevertheless. TFTC.

Team BOP descended upon the Coromandel to search out as many caches as possible in the two days allocated.
This is an interesting place to visit. Unfortunately the sign offering the details was no more, so using the hint only, we split apart and searched the likely areas and luckily made a quick find anyway.
I dropped a couple of Trackables in here, including my brand new TB Kiwi as - Bro! https://coord.info/TB87PHJ

A early morning trip around Coromandel town after spending the night at a good camp down the road. We also couldn't find the right sign and used the hint to find the final. With a few of us looking we were quickly able to look at a couple of options. Multi may need maintenance TFTM
Team BOP have joined forces again and embarked on a 2 day trip to tackle the Coromandel. The parking WP was all good and the hunt for the right sign began... but after looping the building and reading through previous logs it became clear we were on our own. Thanks to the hint it didn't take too long to brute force this cache and while I could request maintenance I see the CO hasn't been active since 2013.
A neat and interesting spot probably quite popular in the Summer. Cheers Marie98 - TFTC.

11.10am. No sign of the sign so used the hint. But that took us a long time as we were looking for a pile of rocks. Finally we tried the lone big rock and there it was. A favourite point for bringing us to this bit of history. We had a good look round though it is not open.
Thank you. David and Noeline.

Thx for showing this place.

Together with arbor95 I am on a holiday tour in New Zealand.
We are two Germans, old friends since a long time. Together we visited a lot of other countries in the past, even before we started geocaching. [^]
For our trip we usually looking for some extraordinary caches.
Therefore we had mostly a lot of fun.
We enjoyed to visit this interesting place.
Thank You very much for this geocache, for the challenge and for the maintaining.
Greetings from tripleclaus to marie98.

The white sign isn't longer there. Google found a photo of it, but the coords guided towards the cemetery. So we used the hint. Tftc
By the way: due to renovation no guided tours in moment.

Found with Miss Three and her aunty after our morning coffee run. Interesting place; pity it's closed - we had a look around the outside though.
We arrived at WP1 and were looking for the sign when a helpful man thought we were interested in the inner working of the stamp and so we received a personalised visit of the machinery. After a polite amount of time we excused ourselves and wandered about in circles trying to locate the necessary, giving up and following the hint. Cache found thanks.
On our trip through NZ we made a stop at this interesting place for to search this cache. With the help of the hint we were finally successfully.
Thanks for hiding it.

It was VERY muddy under foot and many tree branches lay on the ground which made us think we may not be able to go further. Soon picked our way to the cache. Left the troop 612 trackable here as it is an informative place (not a school I know). Happy travels.
06/08/16 17:20. Took a while to ponder the sign. The resulting calculations threatened to place me in a grave situation. So I ignored them, logically entered the park & 3rd time lucky! The terrain is possibly higher than 2, in this wet weather and the high-flow line of the stream wasn't that much below the cache today. But luckily for this drama-king, all was good. Thanks for the fun - pity I was late for a tour. On my bucket list! Cheers, GC.
Mr TW had gone tramping with Mr KiwiCouple, Trout-fly and avoyager so Mrs TW made her way to Coromandel town to pick up some caches along the way. Got the info and then the cache soon followed. Closed up for the day here but nice to wander around. TFTC

Got the numbers wrong twice but found with the help of the clue. Thanks for the cache Marie98!
Today is our last day in Whitianga, and so is the last chance to catch the Pony Express. Weather forecast not too bad, a chance of showers (though all we experienced was a few spots of rain early in the day) so we were away before 8.30am. Had a total of 9 DNFs on the 309 Road, our worst caching day ever, I think, but things improved once we hit Coromandel town and can report 100% success rate after that.
An interesting place, would have been good to explore if we had more time. But we did find gold i.e. a cache. TFTC.

Found while cruising slowly around Coromandel township for the day. Enjoyed the wander around. TFTC
A bit of a challenge to find this one but was rewarded in the end, and was asked by the guy at the stamper battery as I was leaving "did you find it?". We ended up having quite a natter, he certainly has a lot of subject knowledge, and not just locally but nationwide. TFTC marie98, #8390
Staying close by so had to get this one. Early walk with mob dog, good cover for caching. Had to do a recount but made good use of the clue.
On our travel through New-Zealand we visited some really nice places.
Thanks to all Owner to show us all this places.
The required numbers were good to find, calculates the coordinates, but there was an error.
One has to read it right, make a note and then you will also find the cache ...

On our twentythird day in New Zealand we enjoyed the lovely Coromandel Peninsula and looked for some caches.
Came to this interesting place and went straight to the sign. Suddenly realised that someone was asking us, whether we're here for the tour or the geocache. Sorry we had to disapoint him and say geocache. The puzzle was quickly solved and the final box found. Log is quite damp.

Having a wonderful time on our last day in NZ, before heading back to Mandurah, W Aus tomorrow, driving around the Coromandel Peninsular, and picking up caches at various stops. Sadly the Stamper Battery was closed today, so muggle hubby had an outside wander plus a look at the nearby cemetery while I worked out the multi and found the cache - although something must have been calculated incorrectly, as I eventually needed to follow the hint to find the cache.
Many thanks for the cache marie98.

On a geocaching weekend with a great bunch of geo buddies, we hope to get loads of caches this weekend. We've decided to sign the log sheet as - Day trippers CNSZ in order to save space on the the sheet. Thanks to the cachers who hid these caches for us to find and make our weekend such fun. Enjoyed the puzzle
Well, we should have read the cache description better, but we were also lead on a wild goose chase to the dead centre of Coromandel before backtracking and realising our mistake (although we do wonder if the clues are slightly off, we went by hint)
Felt like we were trespassing and crept in, especially after reading previous logs. What a gem of a place- a perfect babbling brook, kiwi style. TFTC.

Phew a hot day to wander around doing a multi! We got side tracked by the cemetery at first, but soon found the park in question. Thanks.
A quick easy find at what looks like an interesting place to visit, although it was closed when we were there.. TFTC
Came by here with the thought of doing the museum before the railroad trip nearby. Not enough time and a bit too pricey (would have been $30 and only 20 minutes) so skipped that and went straight to the cache calculations instead. Similar to others, my numbers didn't work out. The spot looked promising at first, but no picnic table in the graveyard, and the coordinates actually pointed outside onto private property. Ah well, may try again next time we visit. Hoping to be back in 4 or 5 years.
Don't know what I did wrong here but the numbers weren't working for me at all. Decided to give up with the maths and just brute force it with the clue. Checked a couple of spots before finding a location the fitted well with the hint and coming up with the cache.
