Hi there Reviewer,
RE: The cache "“Burt”"
Following up on my "Needs Maintenance" log. It is now well over 28 days old and there has been no reaction from the CO.
Could you please temporarily disable the cache to prevent it from showing up in search lists?
Regards
Ian & Penny

Alice trip 2017. Day 5. With Sol de Lune and LuckL10n we started caching around Pt Augusta and Stirling before heading to Whyalla via a few of the short trails. Two DNFs on this one for me now.
Thanks.

Hi there Bowz2,
RE: Your cache **"“Burt”"**
We looked for your cache today, but as there's so many DNf's here already we didn't see any point in adding another.
Could you please do a maintenance run to confirm if it is still there - - and perhaps replace (or archive) it if it isn't.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Weekend in Whyalla with Freddo and Laighside Legends[?] Don't mind if I do
Headed out Friday morning and got home Sunday night.
All up 2 events attended , 4 DNFs and 95 caches found over the 3 days
Good company and even a row boat ride too [^]
Some fun in Munyaroo Park with some fantastic geocachers and a chance to meet some geocachers who I haven't met before
We even managed 2 FTFs on our trip up
DNF! Finally got back here after a previous DNF over 2 years ago and.... ended up with another DNF
Had a previous finder with me too but to no avail
Seems this one really may be missing
Hope it comes back as I so hate having an unfound DNF!

Spent a longtime here with geokids whilst we had a cuppa on our way home from Melrose.
Pretty sure we know where it is or should be, but could not put our mitts on it.
Pretty sure we know where it is or should be, but could not put our mitts on it.
Hard one! Think we worked out where it could be, but may be need to come back to this one!
Searched for ages... Looked in everywhere under and around everything, could it have been taken again??
Geodad took geokid7 and two muggle friends for an introduction to geocaching while in the area visiting. After some assistance by a local who had seen others caching in the area we had the cache in hand. TFTC.
Driven around today by diggers09 to clean up the last of our unfound Augusta caches. Tried this one early, but as it had changed since diggers found it, we missed it. Reading logs later, we had to have another crack and it was easily found this time. Thanks for a non micro cache.
Had a look for this one late yesterday but it was dark and we didn't want to turn the lights on and draw attention to ourselves. Returned today and there were two council workers with a rotary hoe and rake loosening all the bark under the playground rides.
We knew we wouldn't get another chance to come back so we waited about half an hour until they had left. During this time we had a good chance to check the area out which was probably a good thing because it was in one of the first places we checked.
Thanks. Don't know if this is the original hide type but it was much simpler than we were expecting.

Located in a small park opposite the house where Lace's Sister used to live before defecting to Victoria!!!
Unfortunately a DNF, so the question is, "Is it still there?
Cheers,

Sorry about previous post did not find this one . When I was looking put phone in pocket and must have pressed buttons accidentally..
Didn't help that I was muggled by local kids, but they seemed to know something about it.
Hope Burt's still here - if he is, I'll find him eventually!!!

This was a fun cache for us. One of us has the last name Burt.... go figure. We climbed and looked but no cache. The GPS doesn't work well under roofs. Oh well, but hang on, look at that. How do you get there, how did others.... Aaah, a handy tool, but so lucky we had 4 finders including 2 fellas. Sneaky cache Bowz2. A favourite for the memory of this one... Sorry for late log.
I so had to find this cache.. my real last name is Burt.... This was a challenge but we were determined.
A clever and tricky hide.
Thanks

Heading up to meet Aussie M & M in Chrystal Brook with mogni. Of course getting there would always provide a few stops. . Then it was a great meal at the diner with the Ms before heading out to grab some more caches on out way further north to the Flinders Ranges.
We stopped to use the loo but seeing the name of the cache just had to do it. What a great little spot for a picnic, BBQ or whatever. This took a lot of time to find. I see from all the DNF's I might be getting a few PAFs in the future. Clever hide. Thanks Bowz2

Yep, its still there.
Whats this, a cache that the demon of Australian caching- Everlasting- did not find, and we did. Knock me over with a feather. I am going to have to rub that in when I see her at the Mega. Pretty easy find really, given some of the info in the logs.
Cheers

I was headed up to Port Augusta for a kayak event but somehow afterwards I forgot to stop driving.
1,700kms later and after 83 smileys including 1 FTF were locus cache'd, 1 event attended and sadly 7 DNFs and a dead roo, I arrived back home with both the camera and the phone full of pictures of this amazing country in which we live .
I came, I looked, I wondered, I PAF'd, I looked, I tried but I was just too wobbly today to be doing that while out on my own so it's a DNF for me
It's a shame that the table closest to GZ has been bent (presumably from being used for retrieval) and has a broken slat (presumably for the same reason) as the other table looks to be fine!
If this is 1 1/2* terrain, I'd hate to see a 3* terrain.

Found It!
Despite the hint, this one took me a while to spot. Then had to move some furniture in order to reach the cache...

Quick jog to the park while waiting for fellow travellers. Muggles watching small child in opposite direction.
This was our one big day of caching in the region.
We have visited many great spots, seaside locations, town high lights & back country roads.
This was one of the many caches we found. Not many areas to hide a small container
Thanks Bowz2

Spent 20 minutes looking, but had other places to go, so headed on. Hopefully it is still there.
Thought reading the logs that it makes a change when Zitheran cant find a cache ,when many of us cant solve all his puzzles let alone find the caches.Good hint, tftc
So happy that we found this one! I knew Burt, never worked with him but did an interstate road trip with him once for lots of laughs and plenty of lubrication lol! Found with trea 73
Been meaning to get here to do this many times, well today is the day. Met Burt many years ago and will remember him for many many more. TFTC
found on a jaunt to stirling north. enlightening... tn left a city bowl award pin.
found with Team Canyonero during a week in the flinders ranges. Tricky hide It took the tallest of a big group to reach this one. Thanks Bowz2.
Not too many hiding spots here either, so eventually cache was found by a process of elimination. Nice hidey hole. Also used the facilities nearby. Cheers Gav [11797]
I went to the park and finally no muggles there early in the morning...searched a while with a cuppa coffee and found it. Thanks Bowz2
Every time we visited this cache, the muggles were always there We will try once more tomorrow morning before we leave Port Augusta. Thanks.
Found as part of a two day Northern areas run with Team Waldron.
Easy find, after a short search
Just pays to be taller than ya partner [:o)]

A 2 day trip from Adelaide to Pt Augusta and back wwith White Dog Gang collecting over 100 caches.
We traveled over 1000km in 2 days.
White Dog was on fire here. He reckons he could see it, I think he wanted to see it.
Cool hide.

Tried for this one when we passed by last year but drew a blank. This year we were all smiles.

After a DNF more than a year ago I decided to give this one another try. I was glad there weren’t any onlookers once I spotted the cache and realised what I had to do to get it!
Thanks Bowz2.

On a cloudy day the GPS was vague to say the least, I was sure where it was but my companion searched there and said it wasn't there. After looking everywhere else I re-looked where Kev had looked and of course there it was.. Thanks for a great cache
I got shamed here, I was sure I couldn't feel a cache there... I was thinking it was way smaller Oops!
Our GPS was quite insistent as where GZ should be. So we searched the immediate area very carefully but without success. We then widened our search, still no success. We then re-read the information and then stood back. Something looked different - it proved to be nothing to do with the cache but in searching the area we stumbled across the cache. A great hide. TFTC Bowz2
Found at 9.05am GAFF3 in the company of GeoSamo. This was actually a good hide for a small in such a place. Terrain rating should possibly be a 2.
Thanks Bowz2.
Thanks Bowz2.
Enjoying a lovely sunshine day at the park, celebrating our niece's 2nd birthday. Mr and Mrs J both agreed on the likely location but we had to wait for the guests to leave before we could check. We were right

Went out with Bowz2 to replace the container. Great plans, but the new container didn't fit so we put the old container back and Bowz2 returned to the Bowz cave to reconsider and create a new cunning plan. TFTC
Apologies to all...
Yes the cache had been nicked (B#^*$#^’s)
The timing was bad to say the least... as unfortunately the Bowz2 family has had a significant crisis that put us out of town and out of contact for some time so unfortunately that also put a delay on fixing / replacing the cache.
(Or even knowing that it needed fixing)
Bowz2 (with Mags2) replaced the cache today with a makeshift container that will require pretty much the same skills to find until time is available for Bowz2 to “make” a new one the same as the one nicked...
Hopefully the mongrel’s don’t nick this one!

Spent ages in a very thorough search finally concluded that the cache is missing! On logging my visit have had that thought confirmed, don't feel so bad about it now.
we could not find this cache and was on the phone to a cacher that found it friday but sorry to say that this cache is not there as i have even got a photo where it supposed to be and what it looks like but no its gone so i took a photo of it missing damn muggles lol
Spent sometime looking for this tricky cache. We could not locate. Asked a fellow cacher who had found it previously to check if it is still around. CS rang us back to let us know this cache is missing.
What a cunning hide. I was all over that BBQ but was I hot or not. Never like to rate myself. Clear skies.
PS logging this after WW rang me for a help line. Looks like the cache is not there - perhaps. I was careful not to be seen - it was a school day and there was not a sole around. not even in that very cool toilet. Try it out.

Finally can mark this one as found. Very well camoed, clue did help when you realise where it is. TFTC
this was our first cache, had some inside info from SNCFS cadets, but a good one to do first up.
Search about half hour and again read the comment mmm.. bring the ladder/mirror didnt help me.... oh dear DNF for me. Thanks Bowz2.
A personal favourite - looked over by most and with some subtle (occassionally not so subtle) assistance the imagination has been 'set alight'.
Thanks Bowz2
Thanks Bowz2
It's a shame that Burt isn't around today as he sounds like the right sort of bloke to be standing around the bbq having a quiet ale, hopefully he got some amusement out of us trying to find this cache which fortunately didn't take us too long.
Thanks Bowz2 for showing us this great little park
