At cache site this morning and picked up the undesirable items and put in nearby bin. Cache site all good now
We had a very enjoyable 10km walk around the walkway on a sunny day, finding a few caches along the way. This was the last one before completing the circuit and was a nice one to end on. A great view and a good sized cache. There were a few undesirable items near gz but the cache was nice and secure and in good condition. We took it back to the seat to sign and enjoyed the view as we did so. Thanks for a great cache to end our walk.
Visiting with a trackable we found in Western Australia - "First Italian Baby Geocoin: - welcome to New Zealand!
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there currently staying in Tauranga for a few days decided to go for a walk around the Waikareao Estuary Loop Track & see what caches we could find this cache was easily found, log-book completed & returned pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS #5,643 for Us!
Sorry to say we finally found this cache - it has been strewn about by muggles!!! We managed to locate and reunite a couple of items with it but there's no sign of the log etc. Have hidden as best we can match with the original hint.
A beautiful day for a bike ride from bridge marina where were staying. Another good Tauranga route. Thanks.
Easy find. So pleased to find a larger container with lots of swaps. Thanks for starting me off on this loop.
Quick find once at GZ with KiwiDS, some rather large 3 legged paces but found it no less. TFTC
Thanks for the cache. I meant to come out with some goodies to put in it but then couldnt find them in my running bag when I got to the cache. Took nothing and theres still quite a stash in there.
Last day in Tauranga on a three day visit with rattll. Walked down the hill to GZ, but had to wait at the seat while a bunch of walkers passed by. Once clear, a short search for the cache, soon found tucked away. All well in the container. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
Heading back to Hamilton today, but there's always time for another cache or threeWe had to wait for some passing muggles to move past, but it was a quick grab after that. Thanks for putting this here
In this case, it was a good beginning to middling of what turned out to be a very long walk... Great spot to rest. and then the other half had to run back to fetch his forgotten water bottle TFTC!
In town for the weekend & brought the geo pup along here for our morning walk. What a great trail this is. Got a bit muddled about which way north was, initially… but once I had that sorted, I managed to make a quick find. Tftc : -)
Stayed in the Freedom camping spot at the mouth of the Waikareao estuary. Headed out for an early morning walk around the estuary. Walkway was busy with runners and cyclists. Fortunately GZ is secluded so no problems finding the cache. Thanks Lion Fish for the smiley

Unfortunately did not find. Last find was quite a bit ago so maybe it got muggled.
The tricky aspect of this cache was not in finding it, but in getting to it without being seen. So many muggles on a beautiful like today! But we eventually found a gap in the foot traffic and signed the cache. TFTC
Out on an after work mission to tidy up a few caches. This one was sat out in the open when located, so moved to a slightly less obvious position to passing muggles. TFTC
Thanks Lion Fish for the cache. It’s #1598 for us. We found your cache on 20 February 2022. Lovely sunny day today and lots of muggles around.
Struggled to get this in the past but today it was staring right at us! Less growth helped a fair bit and it wasn't a place we would generally look
Visiting with 6 brand new trackables... which are about to be released to begin their adventures.
Yay finally found it after hunting around like rabbits and trying to hold our noses as it did smell like something had died...TFTC
Happy Ending for me here....as I think I had a dnf a few years ago..
I remember the wall.
Peaceful views.....handy park bench....

Really easy find. I’m not 100% sure it was exactly where it was intended on being but it was within 1m and no rummaging required.

Wasn't too keen on grabbing this one as a homeless person has sent up a makeshift camp right next to it. Will attempt another time
Lots of muggles so had to be quick to get it and had a long wait to get it back. Lucky it was a beautiful day.
Lovely morning out on bikes. Quick park the bike and grab. Nice to get out the he sunshine after lots of rain recently
First cache since lockdown ended! And I’m ending my first year of geocaching! Beautiful spot.
New Zealand entered Level 2 (Covid-19) on Thursday 15 May 2020, and it is now considered safe to resume geocaching in New Zealand. Wishing you all happy & safe geocaching.
Covid-19: have decided to disable our caches until it is safe to resume geocaching.
Easy once we knew to ignore the old hint about the tree, and that the new hint is "about two paces behind the wall".
Thanks for this one. Took a little search but nice reward and lots of nice treasures to look at. Didn’t take anything as had nothing to leave. Nice spot for a walk.
Had to hunt around and was rewarded with a great find. A trackable to continue our holiday worth us. Thanks for the cache!!

The previous cache location can still not be accessed; so have placed a temporary cache (1 litre Sistema) about 2 paces behind the wall.

Checked on cache as we were in the area … cache can not be accessed at the moment due to a huge pile of cut-down trees and branches. Hopefully the Council will remove the rubbish in the near future. In the meantime however, the cache needs to be disabled.
Took some bit of scrambling to get to it but rewarded with nice dry cache. Over in Tauranga for my grand daughter's graduation from Pillans point Primary Dropped TB.
There was a muggle on the nearby seat so had to grab this one on my return, easy find then.

Found! Our first trackable cache. Will bring a variety of items for next trackable cache. Perfect for kids.
Visiting Tauranga today for a work meeting and managed to arrange my day so that I could get here early and grab a few caches beforehand. But also keen not to get work attire too filthy so my focus is very much on urban hides today. This one was as far off trail as I got today ... log signed and no mud on my clothes = success! Nice hide, TFTC.
With my parents over we went for a walk by the time we got to gz it was dark so this was found by torchlight tftc.
i am over in new zealand from the uk for a friends wedding here in tauranga
today was a glorious day so i decided to have a trip out on the bike to explore the area
i was time limited so only looked for a few caches on my route. this one attracted me as i have a few tbs to drop off & from the description this looked like it should be big enough to house one of them
i stopped at the nearby seat & once all was quiet with no-one in the area, commenced my search. it didn’t take long to find using the hint & i was glad to see my biggest tb would fit
job done, i set out once again along this pleasant cycleway

Decided to go for a walk around the daisy Hardwick track today as I found there’s a few caches around here and a nice walk to take the stroller in this hot weather! So many muggles! On to the next one TFTC!
Me and my 5 year old (plus the baby) took advantage of the nice weather yesterday afternoon and decided to find the few near by our house that we were yet to find since moving in up the road. It had been a while since we had done some geocaching and so my son was very excited and determined that he would find it on his own. As you can imagine this took a while with him refusing any help including the hint haha but he got there in the end, minions are a big favourite in our household so the minion mini toy was taken and replaced. Thank you for the cache, its actually a spot we have sat at several times in the last few months unaware of the treasure a few meters away.
I went for a brief walk (had a time constraint) around this walkway this afternoon on a trip over to Tauranga - very pleasant and always more fun if there are caches to pick up! Good spot here, TFTC
