We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out!
Our second visit, after PAF and doing a lot of research through logs - we thought we knew where it was, but still couldn't locate this cache after a combined search time of over 60 minutes!

Thanks for the hunt anyway appips .

This one had us searching for a while. So many places that it could be.
Almost gave up as we have many more to visit today, but it’s easy when you look in the right spot.

Thanks.

11-Jun-14
We rocked up to this one and the boy headed for the beach to take some pics and Wingnut and I walked to this one discussing food and ducks. This one really did test us but in the end it was such a simple hide and an easy find when you look in the right place.

TFTC found while enjoying a perfect winter's day cycle on this beautiful part of the coast.

28-May-14
Success! Not only did I find my sunnies, but also the geocache. Less attention to the co-ords and help from the hint moved me from thick clumps of spiky lomandra to the cache spot. Actually, Mrs RTR found it first .... I think she's getting hooked! TFTC

15-May-14
Must be my old eyes - not only couldn't find, but dropped my sunnies whilst looking and then couldn't find them either! If anyone finds them, please leave under the sign for me to find when I'm peddling by. Thanks RTR

From our base in Bermagui we headed out to discover more of the stunning coastal areas and towns north of here and south of Batemans Bay. This was one of the caches we targetted and found. Nice one. Thanks to appips.

15-Jan-14
After running past here the other day, and having a cursory but unsuccessful look, we decided to come back today for a thorough search which revealed the goods.

A great walk through a beautiful bush track

Thanks

A nice walk up from the parking area but the cache wasn't willing to be found and stayed hidden.
Continued on to to "Land and Sea" for a DNF but stopped on the way back for another look.
This time it was located in a spot I thought I had already looked.
Great area to visit.

On a day where we got most of Moruya's caches, this was the last. After finding the cache (hah, how random, there's actually stuff out in the middle of nowhere at the GZ?!) we went out to Bengello Beach. It's the best kind of beach: only the locals know about it, and we could wander up and down, occasionally stumbling across a pipi buried in the sand. Thanks for bringing us out here.

Another perfect day in paradise, or is that cacheadise? Funny thing about this one was that even way out in the middle of a dirt track, we had to pretend we were just reading about the bush tucker due to Muggle activity!! TFTC appips, I looked hard for the Female Fern the Aborigional used, but no luck on the count. I would be without a basket or a roof or....... Wink
Cheers, GrimRaider.

29-Dec-12
GrimRaider and I found this cache on a hot summer's walk today. I love this beach and often walk or rundown the beach and back, starting at the Moruya Airport Camping area. It's great that you can bring dogs to this area too. This time though we came off the main road and parked at the north end of the Airport as GrimRaider couldn't manage the long walk today. We enjoyed seeing all the planes come and go and loved the smell of the sea and all the noisy cicadas. GZ was very interesting and we found the cache without much problem. The old log book was in tatters and unreadable so we started a new log book and put it in a clip-lock bag. Left a few small items for the kids too. Lovely walk - TFTC appips Smile

Nice walk to GZ but for some reason I made this one harder than it should have been. Oh well, I found it in the end.

TFTC!

Hardest part about this one is trying to find where to park, managed to park behind the airstrip and make the short walk to GZ almsoy walked past as I was enjoying the area. Logs area but tatty but useable at the moment .nice sign TFTC

Wasn't sure how to get close to this, ended up parking at the end of the Moruya airfield and walking past the locked gate to GZ. Almost got run over by a muggle kid on a motorbike moving at high speed...otherwise an enjoyable walk. Cache spotted easily. Log is a bit tattered, needs replacing soon. Thanks.

Our 600th cache to be ticked off in more ways than one!! Ladybug made the find, at 1320hrs after grovelling around in the bushes which is usually my role, and managed to pick up our only tick for the entire trip! She was not pleased and still has a little swelling to remember our 600th. This was a lovely walk and the signs were informative. We enjoyed the exercise as obviously many locals do as well. L: signature ladybug and signed the log Thanks appips

15-Mar-12
I had the bike on the back of the car from an extended ride I did last week, so I grabbed it and rode to the cache from the back of the airfield. A windy but very pleasant ride.
Intersting information and a quick find.
Thanks, Robmc.

11-Mar-12
Short walk with the geodogs. Lots of spiderwebs protecting the cache, but we didn't let that deter us. Cache quite damp, and the scraps of paper inside for logging are getting quite tatty. tftc

02-Feb-12
Decided to go for a ride along beach to hunt this one down, after getting to spot that we thought was close we decided to bush bash the rest of the way. Five minutes later and quiet a few "ouches" Surprised from geo son we had cache in hand and realized we didn't need to bush bash after all [8)].
Thanks appips for a great cache.

26-Jan-12
The GPS died half way to this cache so I had to rely on memory. Saw an appropriate sign that seemed to gel with the cache name, recalled part of the hint and bingo, the cache was in hand. Well worth the effort on a fantastic walk next to the sea.

There used to/ is? be a cache not too far from here so I figured the access road I needed to be on. It turned out that this was a lot better than last time I drove here- I remember almost getting bogged in the sand!

From the carpark it was a shortish walk to GZ. Just as I was reading the sign I spotted the cache thankfully. It could have been one of those ones with a long search. Thanks!

14-May-11
Nice walk. Quick pickup at a pretty spot

14-May-11
It was a nice afternoon for a walk and this fitted the bill! Thanks appips

# 98

We found the parking area after driving past this cache several times in the last week.
Nice walk and the beach was completely deserted. Quick find at GZ. Read about the bush foods which was interesting.

TFTC and the walk. SL. TNLN!

25-Apr-11
Great walk but I was more interested in the parachutists and planes. TFTC

18-Mar-11
We managed to get this one with our 8, 7 & 5 year old junior cachers. Our 5 year old wore gumboots and splashed through the puddles on the way. A great informative sign - I always wondered what a Burrawang was. Thanks - there's no way we would have wandered down this track without a cache to tempt us there.

04-Mar-11
Driving home just before dark after a day of caching and decided yes..we would have time for yet another cache...found the turnoff into the carpark and took an evening stroll along the waters edge...the cache was well camouflaged, we liked the knowledge imparted to us at GZ, we enjoyed the views along the way ....all up it was a well worthwhile cache to have made the effort to do as our last for the day...TFTC

The GPS was taking us all over the area. Zambuck and Joter were with us and it took quite a while before someone yelled out, "Bingo". What great camouflage! Thanks for a great walk and interesting cache.

13-Jan-11
It was easy to find and a great location

This is our 4459th overall find.

Found at about 07:42 AM. Shell and I drove down last night for an event today and camped nearby for the night. We know the area well as we had a cache nearby but when it was placed you could have driven to this one.

Thanks to appips for the cache.

Knew where the parking area was from past caching experience. Walked to GZ, read the sign & located the well camoed cache. On return a lady called out & pointed to several whales. Were breaching etc. Spent quite sometime watching the goings on. Good all round. Thanks.

Found the Cache and seen some parachuter. they are some tree down but you can get to GZ

11-Sep-10
Having been close to here several years ago for another cache I had an idea about where to park, leaving us with a 500m walk to GZ. The cache was well covered and we had to resort to the clue, but the cache didn't elude us for long. A nice spot, deserted on such a beautiful day. No planes today, much to the disappointment of the junior members of the combined crew. Thnaks for the cache appips.

Searched at coordinates for 30 minutes. Then after a further hint from HTTT to look near a food tree found this with Gloriosa. Took Beetle Travel Bug

Been a here a few times.
Found with Chris
We were sure we had checked that spot,
Chris spotted it straight away, it must of been more exposed this time.
Glad to put that cache to rest & the area had recovered well from the last few visits.
Funey thing was it realy wasnt mush off thr track as my gps had put me every other time.
Sl droped in a tb

found this with bbayjohn, Can't beleive i missed it the first time, i swear i thougherly looked in that location, guess it was abit more exposed this time. Thank for the hide, glad this one is out of the way.

Was going to give up on this, but it just required a bit more poking around. The clue and coords are both accurate.

ADV's 6000th! We're going back to town to celebrate

29-Mar-10
This was ADV's 6000th cache. We let him lead the way, and find the cache. Nice camo job on the top! Cheers Gav [5030]

YIPPEE Well done ADV. 6000 caches!!!

17-Mar-10
I was cruising down the road and saw the cache appear on the GPS.
So I parked the geomobile in the shade at the side of the road and pondered the problem at hand.
The 349metres to the cache seemed to entail crossing some thick scratchy scrub [:o]
Well lets have a look anyway Razz
Just 8 minutes later I found meself at GZ Big Grin

I cheated and read the clue because this looked like a difficult to find cache amongst all the shrubbery [:o]
But there it was in the first place I looked Big Grin

This must be good karma payback for all the suffering I've endured while finding BB caches just up the road Wink

What a shame my pen fell out of me pocket when I got out of the car Red Face
So I've signed the logbook in green eucalyptus ink Big Grin

TFTC.

PS: The clue is good, the coords are good.
It's just a jump to the right Big Grin

After searching for an hour and a half, no luck, searched high and low and around surrounding area, as with previous logs a hint would probably help out with this one if it is still there, native area looks to be getting damaged from all the searching which is ruining the native plants.

01-Feb-10
I enjoyed the walk down, but after way too long I gave it away. You can already see the impact searching has had on the area. Maybe a hint ? Albida.

01-Feb-10
Searched for hrs, looked in all likely locations where I would hide it.
There was no where else to look. We looked up and down and round and round.
If its still there I think I need a better clue than in a small black container.
Thanks for the hunt, shame we couldnt find it.

P.s. Becareful of the hornets nest under branches etc.
We sprayed ourselves with bushmans and they still kept trying to land on us

We sat with a red wine debating the possibility of doing a midnight raid into the dunes but sleep won out.
Next morning a combined team of Nigen4 and SamWalkers set out about 6:00.
We did the long walk from Broulee and searched solidly. Hunger drove us back home.

After a day caching in the golden hills we came back in full force with gloves and set too. After a while Tankengine arrived making a total force of ten searchers.
How did we keep on distracting ourselves and not searching the right place?

Finally I asked myself where would I hide it if I was appips and there it was and still a *FTF* too.
Nice camo - I like good camo and spot on coords too.

On our first walk in I collected a shell that I intended to put into the cache but the ex-resident was still a little too smelly.
It is a Violet Snail. It is cammoed white on one side and purple on the other and it hunts and eats the Blue bottle stingers. Very cool.

30-Jan-10
Chooo ooo *FTF* with Sam Walkers, and friends!
Amazing - after a pleasant walk, I rock up at GZ, only to find masses of people looking for something! He he he... More geocachers! Well, this little sucker was well hidden, and it took about 30 minutes before Sam Walkers finally made the find!! Sam Walkers then also gave me one of their shiney new path tags, and a lift back to my car! Thanks muchly, and thanks to appips for the cache. Love the camo - now that is something I haven't seen before!
