Logs
Unfortunately this cache is currently inaccessible due to track closure for logging. We were tempted to sneak in anyway but decided against it when we heard machinery being used.
Found after a short search while exploring in the area this afternoon. Signed log, TFTC
A lovely evening in the deep south so I chose this walk to grab a few caches...thanks for bringing me here. There was quite a length of log to check out - of course I started at the wrong end [:o] But got there eventually. Cache had a bit of water in it and the "smartphone has soaked in it - the log is dry though! TFTC
Not too long spent looking before success. Hardest job was keeping monstas away from nearby water!
The GPS wasn't too helpful as I searched for this one. Eventually the dear little pussy cats ( Dakotacats ) found it ... but at least I was on the right Island !
First found this when I was part of the dakotacats team, I now have my own username so I am re-logging as whiskasnz. thanks.

The geo-nana found this one tucked away in its hidey hole. The geo-grandad wasn't even near!! We enjoyed the walk in this area, now it's back to the car. TFTC

Have temporarily removed as trees are being logged in this area. Will enable again once logging is finished.
Together with my family on a vacation trip to New Zealand. Starting at Auckland airport on transfer to Christchurch we went for a roundtrip exploring the south island. This was one of many caches we found while visiting so many nice and interesting places thanks to all the caches why I want to send a thank you to all CO for the work spent. TFTC.
Found on a nice sunny day.
Nice and peaceful in here today with not many muggles around.

Checked our geo today as there is logging being done in the area. Track straight ahead to geo is currently closed until further notice, however cachers are still able to access it by using the track to the left, along the side of the river.
Will keep an eye on logging progress and temporarily disable if necessary.

Beautiful day thought we would try some walks and find some caches at Otatara. Had a great walk.
After alot of hunting and as we were about to give up we changed tactics and low and behold there it was. Even though we had already looked in this area and saw nothing, its amazing what with a second look can produce.
Well hidden.

A straightforward find after a pleasant evening walk through the trees from Daffodil Bay. An enormous group of young people with back packs was setting off around the waterline from Daffodil Bay while we were there - 8.00 p.m. - not sure what they were doing? TFTC
A nice wee walk in from the short end, but the wind in the pines was a bit disconcerting. Cheers Gav [7323]
nice easy walk, i spotted a pencil by the cache which made it easy to find so i put the pencil in the cache.
It was raining on and off all day and by the time we got here, the rain had temporarily stopped and the sun peaked out. The green pond at the start of the track looks quite like the green on a golf course. There was another one close to the cache but the green stuff on the surface wasn’t covering the entire surface. Plenty of places to search, so took a while to locate the rather elusive treasure. Great spot for the cache. We loved the walk and the chance to explore a little of this area despite the rainy weather today. Fortunately the sun came up when we did the walk to the cache. Thanks sunnysouth for the cache.
Last cache for the day after travelling south from Milton this morning. Camped overnight in camper at nearby carpark. TFTC
Nice spot to wander through pity that the pine trees pollen played havoc with my asthma today..kinda put a dampener on this cache for me but thanks anyway!
Good easy find, Found it on way to find the daffodills. Great day for a walk.
GPS went crazy. Took a wee while to find. Turns out it was just under my nose.

Out for a run around Sandy Point to find all the caches in the area. Down from Christchurch to see family. This was my first on what will be a few hours of running. Tftc
GPS not all likeing the wooded area. Finally found, off the track. Cache located oposite a pond, near sign. Great day for a walk
late log, the date may be a day or so out. Did this one on a trip round to Tuatapere. We dodged many dog walkers to this, be fore driving round to another we could not find. Workers putting final touches to new loo at track start. We will be back to this area we did not know existed.
A great walk for the kids during the holidays on a very calm Southland day. Youngest child found it and was very excited to have found it before the older kids!!!
Found with IT'S TURNER TIME! GPS played a few tricks on us. Found after a few mins of thinking!

Nice wee stroll to finish the day caching in the south number 30 for the day.

This was a bonus FTF with StreetWalkerNZ near my old home town, on our Southerrrn trip. The drizzle had stopped so was a pleasant stroll to GZ, finding at about 9:30am or so. There looks like lots of nice walks in this area, but we had no time for any longish ones.

#1155, FTF #39 (1/24 on an Invercargill / Riverton loop). A bonus FTF. Happened to be in town for a couple of nights catching up with Troodle-rellies and doing a cache or three, and this one popped up. Interesting area I hadn't visited before. TFTC.

Good to see you've started making caches too sunny! Busy cache today - I was about the 4th visitor (at 7.30pm) TFTC!
Nice walk, think we were 3rd here and nearly got sprung by a few muggles. Had not done this walk before and it was a lovely. TNLN TFTC
