We continued today our tour of Queensland and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.The weather was - said in one word simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood. The cache had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging. Thanks to nyssnjim for the generation of this nice cache Boot Hill (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they happened.Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood. TFTC! Will require a new log as its been wet and falling apart. Another good stop for a cache!
Found with _hitam on our way out to Emerald for a geoart trip.Visited with my travel bug, but not big enough to swap out.The log was nice and dry (if a little dusty) and in good "hands" with the boots.Cool place and lots of interesting bitties hidden away in the dirt
4WD'd our way to this one, then traversed a deep Canyon to GZ. Container was in plain sight making our search a little easier. Stamped and returned to a covered location, back through the Canyon to the car and now on to our next cache on our way to Emerald.
Was able to get the car and van up the hill and turn around to grab this one. luckily it was a quiet road. Thanks nyssnjim for the caches.Total Cache Finds 15061,
Found by Mary and David at 11:40. So many pairs! Wonder how the high ones got there? Our thanks to TDJim.
I recall stopping at a boot tree on the way from Emerald to Charters Towers at the end of 2022, and that cache took quite the search. In contrast, this was a quick find! The cache container and logbook were in good shape. The boots hanging towards the top of the tree were impressive, and I enjoyed the good view of the mine in the distance too, from just above the tree. Thanks TDJim for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------This 1.5 week trip, the purpose was the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster (QOGM) in Longreach, with its aim to encourage tourism and support in rural towns. Departing from Brisbane on Friday 15/09/2023, I travelled solo taking the northern route through Gayndah, Emerald and Jericho on my way to the event, and then returned through Blackall, Morven, St George, Goondiwindi, and Toowoomba arriving back on Monday 25/09/2023.My Longreach highlights included the two QOGM muster/rally days visiting Muttaburra and Isisford; the Qantas Founders Museum; Stockmans Hall of Fame; Silver Tails Rail Sunset Tour; and the general historical town vibe. Other highlights to/from Longreach included climbing Mt Scoria; Barcaldine's Tree of Knowledge and kayaking in the water park; Blackall woolshed scour; and the smaller intriguing and historical towns that I passed through.During my travel days when I was time-poor, I targeted geocaches that were older in age, high D-T, puzzles/challenges, and rare cache types. In addition, I added 7-8 visited LGAs to my statistics. The scenery was memorable with picturesque sunsets, and a diversity of flora and fauna. There were plenty of kangaroos and wallabies, emus, goannas/lizards, brolgas, hawks, and alas wild hogs, and goats.Today, a full travel day was pencilled, driving from Gayndah to Emerald via Biloela.I started the day visiting the towns lookout before attending the local parkrun. Well and truly warmed up, I closed out my Gayndah visit with a drive up to the lookout and then visited the [Upside Down Bridge](https://coord.info/GC8ZMQ3) in the town across the river - an engineering masterpiece!I tend to be far too slow in my travel days morning, perhaps stopping at geocaches more than I should, although I enjoyed my visits to various towns. Perhaps at the hottest time of the day, I hurriedly hiked up Mt Scoria, and the basalt columns were impressive.I had lunch in Biloela and completed the [Biloela My Home Town](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/af82ce36-2dcf-4ff3-ab59-75a503cad4f2) Adventure Lab, and then I decided to take fewer stops to then arrive in Emerald just as the light was fading. Post dinner, I tried to find a few more town geocaches, visiting the botanic gardens to the south, and more of the Emerald cotton geoart.
On a slow, meandering trip out to Longreach for the QOGM 2023 event.

I took a slight diversion to grab this cache as I was passing through town. A quick and easy find. TFTC
Quite an easy find after "kickin about" a short search. The cache is in good condition. Signed and replaced. Thanks nyssnjim for placing the cache and some mirth.

Enjoyed our walk to boot hill.

Of course we had to visit Boot’s namesake!!
Nice quick find. Log paper mouldy, but dry.
Found on part of our ‘north for warmer weather’ trip from North East Vic to Central QLD via Curtis Island! Todays leg Gladstone to …. maybe Comet- depending on weather.
Thank you to all the COs who maintain the caches along the way.

What a great spot. Recommend wearing enclosed shoes, lots of prickles sticking through thongs

What a messy place. The recent rain has washed open a lot of rubbish including trailer axle and sink. The container was not the same as description. Found an container out in the open had a log inside. Signed it and hide a bit better. TFTC
T4T$ After spending a few days camping at Blackdown Tablelands, we were making our way home via Blackwater, so we took a little detour off the highway to pick this one up on our way past. Cheers.
Not sure if I found the correct cache as it was tiny and didn’t match the description. But it had a log in it and I signed it.
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 128. Dingo to Emerald via Blackwater and Comet. Today was a much more civilsed day with a breakfast stop in Blackwater and an exploration of comet before pulling into the stop for the night in Emerald by lunch. I then headed to Fairburn dam for a few caches before a lazy afternoon.
My first stop for the day on the outskirts of Bluff, and despite a few cars blasting down the hill, it was a nice stop to admire the local artwork, and find a cache.
Thanks for the cache TDJim

After a great late afternoon picking up the caches in Blackwater we decided to spend the night there and have a few quiet ones at the pub.
Today we had a leisurely drive towards Rockhampton planned picking up caches along the way.
When we read the cache name we had a totally different idea of where we were headed but upon reading the page we found out that we were going to be visiting a different boot hill.
Once here we managed to find a place to park here that was safe and walked off to gz trying very hard not to get stuck in the mud.
Once there the cache was a much easier find than we were expecting and although the container had a little bit of water in it the log book was remarkably dry and it now contains our name.
We dried the container out, repacked everything as it was ready for the next find.
Thanks nyssnjm for the cache.

It’s Mega time once again!! Woo hoo!! Love these epic road trips. After an amazing drive up Canberra - Narromine - Cunnamulla - Blackall - Winton - Charters Towers - Townsville. We had a blast at the main event. Now it is time for the trip home - with the plan being chances to explore Bowen, Rockhampton, Emerald, Roma, Lightning Ridge and Dubbo. Will see if the April rains and flooding detour us! Thanks to everyone in the region for the top quality caching. Appreciate your efforts.
Fortunately, I did not require any replacements from the collection. What a funny spot. Thanks for highlighting it. TFTC.
Great spot for a cache. Who would have known this was hidden here. Some of those boots have been there a while! Talk about crusty
Had to use some ingenuity to navigate to this one with no service. Had a giggle as we spotted GZ! Sensational! Swearah made the find here. Thanks for the cache!
Haha love this tree. Krcamber and I stopped in here on the way to Emerald and we’re glad we did.
Took a moment to find but oh there it is!
Thanks for the cache, TDJim

An amazing long weekend of traveling around with Crew153 in the mighty Suzee geomobile. After visiting Blackdown NP we were heading west towards Emerald for the night. But time for a quick stop here - lovely place. Cache found easily enough, not as expected, but in good condition.
Thanks nyssnjim for entertaining me at this location.

Pprime and I escaped Brisbane for the long weekend for the delayed public holiday for the Ekka. We hit the road to Emerald and back home via Roma.
It was scorching hot as we pulled up so we were glad for a quick find. A quick photo and back into the car.

Found Boot Hill easily, not so easy to find a place to park with the caravan in tow. A quick find by Mr Ski.
We left Emerald this morning to continue our journey north chasing the warm weather and the elusive yellow smilie. Glad to report that today we found both!
Thanks to all the CO’s for providing so many caches along the way for us to find. We appreciate your efforts in showing us this great country. Taking us to places and showing us sights we would have otherwise missed.

A big trip from us from Brisbane to Hervey Bay to Gladstone to Emerald (this leg) to then Roma and Chinchilla and Brisbane. Eight straight days of 9hrs plus caching for Miss10 and Mr8. They have done really well even though we are all exhausted.
Thanks for bringing us to this crazy place. Miss10 suggested cache placement as a joke....it wasn't a joke.

The cache name says it all. I laughed when I found this one. Glad it did not take long as I was pooped after doing a few walks in the nearby Blackdown Tablelands National Park.
Nice morning for a walk. Saw hill and thought bet you it’s near the top. Yep easy find. Tftc
Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that i can claim the finds or not as the case may be. TFTC.
01/01/21 Happy New Year Caching!!! Roadtrip Mackay to Emerald to Barcaldine to Aramac to Blackall to Jericho over the next 3 weeks. Lots of puzzle solving before and during trip. TFTC SL
Love the comment from previous finder. All is good with this one. Tftc. Not like the westerns but still a good one
our search led us closer to the tree than we wanted, Tmac was searching but not coming up with the goods. We didn't want to disturb to much due to the surrounds, never know what we might get. I took a punt and searched at a different level and had the cache inland quickly. Beware the cache bites. I think Ratdog just kept snapping away while here in her japanese safety boots.

Sixth day in Australia. We drove the Capricorn Highway from Rockhampton to Rubyvale. On our way we stopped from time to time. In total we found 10 caches and a few remained unfound, either due to not wanting to turn stones, as you never know, who else is there, or the cache really not being there.
A little detour brought us up the hill. Really funny and easily found.

Hi there TDJim. Today was a travelling day - this time between Dingo and Emerald. Geocaching was a main interest while travelling and a handful of caches were found. This cache was a quick find after parking nearby and the container and the log are dry and quite useable. TN, LN, SL. Thanks to TDJim for this cache - our find #6822.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

Submitted via Garmin Live Geocaching. This little Eclipse tin was looking very vulnerable, just lying there on the ground so we place it a bit higher up and out of harms way. A very interesting little piece of local art, if that's what you'd call it. Thanks for placing this cache. Cheers from Bindair Dundat and Princess Madelyn.

Such a great location, would never have known about this if it wasn't for GeoCache!!!
We're back in Australia once again, picking up a few caches as we see the sights.
Had a good hard look but in the end it was a no go for us today!!
Thanks anyway TDJim !
Cheers from Canada!

After attending the QOGM Event at Barcaldine, we were on our way back to Brisbane, howevr at the end of the day we were staying overnight in Emerald. Thank you to all the CO's who have placed caches in locations which I would probably not have visited. Enjoyed finding these caches. TFTC
Day 13 of our road trip to the QOGM and return and today we head off from Emerald to Biloela. Thank you so much to all the COs who have placed caches along the highways and byways that we will travel over in the fourteen days we are away. Without your caches we would not see and/or learn about your local area.
I have been traveling slowly to QOGM in Barcaldine. I spent last night in Blackwater. This morning, I decided to find a few caches before continuing on my way. This one interested, so I doubled back. I parked the geomobile near GZ and made my way over to GZ. At first, my phone had me walking past where I needed to be, but I insisted that I needed to look there and it finally agreed with me. I searched a couple of things before I made the find. With my name added to the log and everything returned as found, I continued on my way. TFTC
TFTC. We had left Emerald this morning and planned to stop in Duaringa. Along the way we decided to stop off and do some of the caches a;png the highway and in Comet and Blackwater. We had to bypass a couple because it is not always practical to pull up the Motorhome with car in tow on the side of the road. For the most part one of the caches gave us any real problem in making the find.
Not exactly the type of container we were expecting . Managed to find a park for the Motorhome and walked back around 70 meters. Nothing in my size.

Found we were looking for a different container TFTC all is good with the cache on a road trip from Tassie
Found it! But not in a camouflaged tin, in something that helps keep you fresh!
I don't understand the placement of this cache given the amount of broken glass around. I wouldn't bring children here to look.
Finally heading south. Staying 2 nights in Blackwater today we headed out to explore the local area.
Some of the side tracks were a bit interesting after last nights rain. Managed to find your cache.

That was one of the more tricky ones. Wear shoes. There's some broken glass about. Cache has no lid. Needs servicing. Thank you
