22-Sep-13
I think this cache has had it's day. It was partially destroyed some time back.

13-Aug-13
Found with paulyman after work today - lucky 13th cache for August. We parked at the waypoint and walked down, and after a little bit of searching soon spotted something familiar. Log is completely full and we were unable to sign, so we took pictures in lieu. TFTC.

13-Aug-13
Found today with snorris, not the cache we had planned, but we missed the driveway we were aiming for in reasonably busy traffic. We knew this one was here and had been meaning to do it for a while, so off we went. The stair wells up the towers are looking a bit old. Thanks for th cache.

13-Aug-13
Offline until I can install a new logbook.

08-Jun-13

01-Jun-13
Excellent!!!!! Loved this one. It was our second visit, but that doesn't matter, a rainy afternoon, just got to watch for the traffic muggles. Log is almost full.

17-Feb-13
Nice one tftc

16-Feb-13
Very tricky, took a us awhile to find this one

21-Jan-13
Luke found this one as soon as we got there. TFTC!

16-Jan-13
Had a look but didn't find

03-Dec-12
New log sheet installed by Baja.15.

Thank you!

02-Dec-12
If it were not for my dedicated geo caching parents I probably would not have attempted this one. I have to give this one a favourite point because of the hair raising experience of busy traffic and the drive by location. Thanks.

02-Dec-12
Having searched for this cache before I needed to return and apply a different mindset.. Yes it worked. Placed an additional log page in. SL..TFTC

02-Nov-12
The log is full, and the original way the cache was placed has been damaged.

02-Nov-12
I finally put this cache to rest today. I had been here in the early days of the cache, only to come away with a DNF. Some time ago Krafty Charlie had given me a big clue as to what the hint meant, and today it worked, though I am a little disappointed that people have ruined the clever way the cache was originally placed. Thanks Hoojar.

26-Oct-12
Heading Nth we found a cheeky side road and a car park, so we swung in and crossed the bridge... soon arrived @ GZ and went looking, had 2 ideas of what it could be and the 2nd search showed up the goods! Clever camouflage

(Didn't see and Green&Gold Bell frogs)

28-Sep-12
Quick find. Tftc!

24-Aug-12
Second find for the day with geopup.
Nice hide. I was stoked to find it.
Very clever.

08-Aug-12
Parked at WP1 as suggested and a quick walk to GZ. Super quick find as fortunately I have seen a couple of these before. I like your idea of painting the towers as big VB cans! Also I wondered why nobody has put a cache at the big skinny tower on the way here from Hill 60. TFTC!

04-Aug-12
Found with a first timer. Tftc. Clever hide...

16-Jul-12
Its been a while since this has been found but still ended up being a quick find , must say perfect placement for this one. Did one lap around GZ to verify and hone in on it. . Have obviously seen these before and have something even more challenging along the same lines. TFTC give you a fave for placement

Took geopup out for a walk but came up empty handed this time.

24-Mar-12
Early morning start, took some time to find this as previously looked at the ovious yet still missed it. this time the logs signed. TFTC Hoojar

05-Mar-12
5th of 6 Finds and 2 DNF's today.

After parking at suggested co-ords, and making the right decision which side to walk, I was confident until I got to GZ. Once I got the right perspective though, I recognised the cache fairly quickly.

TFTC Hoojar!

15-Feb-12

17-Jan-12
Found with "The Neighbs". Nice quick find! Very sneaky!! TFTC Smile

14-Jan-12
I parked right at the cache, early hours of the morning when no one was around... This one had me stumped for a little while, and on the verge of giving up, saw the possability and what do you know... I was right FOUND.. Cool

11-Nov-11
I found this one on our way to the 11-11-11 event. I left geo-wife with the geo-mobile at the suggested parking location while I walked to GZ and quickly located the cache, signed log and called geo-wife to come and pick me up, love team work, thanks.

18-Oct-11
Found with mizmaz

18-Oct-11
Spotted cache within seconds. Helps being familiar with different types of containers and planning a similar hide myself.

10-Oct-11
Can finally cross this one off the list. Found one of these up in Sydney yesterday. If not for that one I doubt I ever would have found this. Was definitely looking for something else! SL TFTC Smile

02-Oct-11
No luck today. Sounds very sneaky indeed!

30-Sep-11
On my way to somewhere else I thought i'd try my luck at this one. After a 20 min search, I came up empty Sad I think I may need a bit more experience under my belt before attempting this one again as it sounds like a sneaky one.

11-Sep-11
we gave up on this one.but will be back [:0]

04-Sep-11
Stopped looked & didn't find, will try again soon

21-Aug-11
What can I say, but a Krafty hide very well presented. Found with two little martians. TFTC

03-Jul-11
Still don't understand the clue but a gentle hint from a previous finder put me in the right direction. Doubt I would have found it as I have never seen this type before and not even contemplated it. Very sneaky and wasn't even sure I had it when I had it.

Too good for me, but I'll be back.

01-May-11
We are familiar with this type of cache, thanks

18-Feb-11
Excellent camo - Finally reach it. Signed the log. Thanks Hoojar.

15-Oct-10
Well I parked where I was meant to and took a walk, I could see where I was heading but when I got to the GZ, I spent about 20 minutes and still couldn't find it. I looked at everything but obviously not in the right place. I agree about the 2 towers though they do look like 2 oversized duracell batteries.

04-Oct-10
New logbook installed, and cache repaired as much as possible. Be careful, don't break things in your pursuit of a smiley!

04-Oct-10
This one is back up and running, but be a little more careful with it please!

30-Aug-10
This cache has become a victim of the mentality of some poor cachers... "Find the cache at all costs."

It is little wonder that finders have been locating the cache so easily, the cache container has been seriously damaged by over eager cachers and the game is now well and truly given away.

I am saddened that people would ruin a cache container like this and not notify the owners.

I'll disable this one whilst I decide whether to bother fixing it or not.

22-Aug-10
Having placed a cache very similar to this one, I had no trouble with the find. The log was still a little fragile though and I had to be gentle to get my name in... Surprised

The outer part of the cache has sustained some damage and I found part of it separated from the rest... Twisted Could be worth an owner visit.

Cheers Hoojar, Chip & Ding

07-Aug-10
I've seen these hides a few times before but this one is very expertly done! I'm impressedWink The log is full and had a little condensation present. I left a sticker and did my best to dry it out before returning it to it's perfect camo. Thanks Hoojar well done Big GrinBig GrinCool

25-Jul-10
Found after a short search - very sneaky! Thanks Hoojar, Chip and Ding for the cache.

18-Jul-10
718 - 3 for today. Found on 18/07/10 11:52 AM
There really isn't many hiding places, so it didn't take long to locate, very clever. TNSLLN

30-Jun-10
Have been super slack in my logs lately. This was actually really clever, I've never seen a cache hidden this way before but I certainly have thought about it. Thanks for the clever cache, found by hoschke; he's a clever boy.

14-Jun-10
Reperio at 0700. The first cache to be picked up this morning, and being a Sunday morning, parked up next to GZ without any problem, and wasn't there long as the cache was found in a couple of minutes. Have seen a couple of these hides now, but found it after checking a couple of spots first.

Gratias.

12-Jun-10
Surprisingly, this took only about two minutes. Thanks guys.

06-Jun-10
Ok I said to the others (Toadmeister and Ace) I will give it one more try. It teases me every day I drive past on my way to the office. We spent around 15 minutes looking here and there till I saw something that I had glanced at a thousand times before but not looked at. Understood the clue after I had shown the others where I picked it up from. Very clever. Thanks HCD. Isn't it nice that you now have your own acronym.

06-Jun-10
found it with Hoschke118 & jit1bv. honestly don't think i would have found it, hoschke118 ended up finding it...never seen one like this before, but do hope to see one like this again..thankyou

Did with Toadmiester7, Woody Figtree.
We headed off to GZ knowing we could park right next door, as Woodyfigtree had been there before ( a few times). Woody Figtree came up with the find (which is appropriate considering he was our caching master). Man this is a sneaky one.

So how many DNFs does this one really have?

At least 5 more than are logged if we can believe some of the finders logs!

Some clues have come my way, and the next time I'm down this way I'll put them to (hopefully) good use...

06-Jun-10
Armed with new found confidence, the power caching team of Woodyfigtree, Ace7 and I thought we can do this so parked at GZ contrary to advice and our fall back defence was that we were researches carrying out vital study work for the rare frog that had been identified nearby. This should have been a clue since I had found a similar sort of cache in Sydney named after that particular amphibian. Well we searched inside the square, outside the box, high, low and everywhere in between. The hint didn't make sense until the master, Woodyfigtree said " you've got to be kidding". Yep he had it in hand. It was pretty wet so we used the aircon in the car to dry out the log and the cache before returning. Thanks Hoojar for another great cache

30-May-10
Don't like to brag but will- ended up finding this one about 30 seconds after arriving at GZ.

Liked the walk to the cache- a train even blew his whistle for us!

Upon arriving at GZ a quick look around then worked out what the hint meant and that led me to the cache- very cleverly hidden! Have really enjoyed the caches that were put out for the 10 Year event in Wollongong. TFTC!

25-May-10
This is a very sneaky cache.
I now understand the comments about a similar one somewhere in the illawarra.
My work clothes were the perfect alibi.
I would have found this one within a minute of so except that I like previous cachers looked at the wrong quadrilateral
It wasn't until after a much more thorough investigation that I returned and discovered how close I was previously.
Hope a scheduled maintenance doesn't effect the cache.

I was out spying some spots for a cache today. When I drove past "The Two Towers", I noticed a "bearded man" acting "suspiciously" under the "high voltage tower". Just as I was dialling the Terrorism Hotline, I realised it was Gribbly [:p]. I wonder if he found it? He wasn't looking in the right spot when I zoomed past......

15-May-10
On arrival of gz we seared and searched but still had no luck. After a short while bingo, cache was spotted. Thanks Hoojar, Chip & Ding for another great hide.

12-May-10
After 3 attempts and no luck we almost gave up. Then in a discussion with another cacher they said that we should have no problems with this one. Well that didn't help !!!!! Think Think then the brain went dead. 4th visit and ^*&^^*&^%%$#^%$$##$. How many times did I look there and kept looking elsewhere. Now we know what they meant. Thanks for a great hide. It is good to see a very well constructed cache hidden beside one of the busiest roads in the Illawarra. The 10 years party seems ages ago now and we still haven't found the 10 caches from the weekend.
5 star rating on this cache.CoolCoolCoolCoolCool

08-May-10
Yes rainbow we did manage to find this blighter especialy given there is not many places to hide one and we have thought of this idea ourselves . Definately devious but almost worth the longish walk except the smell of the area is not so nice thanks hoojar

08-May-10
Oh where, oh where are you? you little so and so.....
NO luck here today, and to make things worse when I rang Team Casho for a clue at another cache later, they had found it today....grrrr....

06-May-10
After a long, long, excuse me, very long search last time this time it took me about 10 seconds. After the failure last time I went home puzzled and not knowing wich place I didn't look. Went back today only with the remark of the rats in mind. He tells us to think outside of the square, but as I am stubbern I thought within the square and that helped me. I actually remembered a cache somewhere in the Illawarra wich gave me the solution instantly!
TFTC Wilbert

PS Usually I freegiving with hints but don't call me for this one Twisted

05-May-10
This was mainly all Hoojar's idea. He is the grand planner and I just tweak the ideas so they work smoother.
It seems to be going well.

05-May-10
Congratulations to Fluffyfish on the find. I will up the difficulty by a star I think given that people are finding it a little harder than they are expecting.

05-May-10
Like many local cachers I'd been watching this cache since its birth. It was a little bit out of the way for me so it wasn't a priority but seeing the difficulty some were having I was keen to have a go.

Hoojar had said to me "you would have seen this type of hide before" so I made a detour on my way home and sure enough, second spot I looked. Presto!!!!! Its exactly the same as C@W cache I did in Melbourne recently.

I think the find was made alot easier knowing that so many before me would have checked all the obvious hiding spots, so I simply thought outside the square, which made for a quick find.
Thanks HCD

WOOT! A FTF! WOOT! Logged as "FF FTF"

I work quite close by so it is easy for me to hang out under high voltage power lines. So this was my *ahem* 4th visit to GZ. So why not come again in the middle of the night with a car full of shopping. I had checked so many spots there honestly wasn't many places for me to revisit. I was that unconfident on this visit, I knew I didn't have a pen but thought the chances of finding it was so slim......

At GZ I thought about different hide styles and it gave me some new spots to check. I pondered them in the dark but decided to look elsewhere and KAZAM there was the cache. So with no pen, I had to race off to work to grab one and return to sign the log.

I would love to say more (and will edit this sometime in the future) but why spoil the "fun" for others (ie Woody Figtree).

Thanks to Hoojar, Chip and Ding! A great cache in a great location.

TFTC and my 2nd FTF

04-May-10
Again a tricky one here? Probably being the third person now without a find. My GPS had me in the middle under the tower, so I checked every bold and every corner I could find with no luck. After about an hour!! I gave up and I am still wondering if my GZ or my eyes were wrong?

04-May-10
A number of DNFs on this cache. If this trend continues we will need to up the difficulty rating.

I drove passed after work last night and can confirm that the cache is there.

Cheers
Hoojar

03-May-10
Attended GZ hoping to strike it lucky for a FTF. No such luck heh! My GZ was in the bushes beside the tower. Guess I had a boy look and after a brief search it was time to go to work.

BTW I was also planning to place a cache here. It is a nice spot. One tank has Blast Furnace gas (biggest) and one tank has coke ovens gas. They are used as buffers/holding tanks as those gases are used as energy sources in parts of the steel works. I think the GFC and change of CEO and maybe some other acronyms stopped the painting process......

03-May-10
Came and went with no luck. Even Fulffyfish turning up for a second look couldn't help. WIll be back as I pass this sport every day on the way to the office. Thanks again

02-May-10
We headed down here after spending time at a great 10yr event. Lucky for us was able to park right at GZ, as there is a driveway to an acess gate. We looked high/ low up/down built little piles of rocks and sticks picked locks to open doors (just kidding) metal detector was no good here as to much rubbish lying around but did find $2. Almost got run over by a bloke on a bike. Was about to get out the WD4 and shifters but the 30 minute alarm bell sounded so it was time to pack the tools up and head off to find another cache.

Always good to have another reason to visit the gong.

Again we are logging a DNF. That's 3 in a row. Will just have to try again next time we're in town.
