Something to do on the way home. Parked nearby and wandered over to the tracks.
This one boldly stood out and made an easy find.
Needs a new log scroll. No space for new names.
Been here many times before, just a little higher LOL.
Thanks for bringing us down here McKee Clan , and thanks for the smiley

Very sneaky!! Took me several minutes to spot! Couldn't sign, as I forgot to bring a pen.
Found with Wal & Ol on a beaut Sunday bike ride. Enjoyed this one so giving it a fave - TFTC!
Found on a sunny Sunday bike ride with Pony1966. waved to the Ghan as it rattled past. Great work, fave point. TFTC
Day Twenty two of our holiday, BettyBoo3747 and I are still at Semaphore in Adelaide. Deadly treadlies out and onto the car and off North east to the Little Para Trail. (luckily it wasn't called Little Para River because there was no water there today!) We were doing sort of OK until lunchtime when it all fell in a heap, both bikes hit an unseen patch of bindis resulting in 3 out of 4 flat tyres - that put an end to that!
We started looking here, and along came a muggle.... waited, waited, waited... coast is clear...
..started looking, and along came three muggles.... waited, waited, waited... coast is clear...
..started looking,... well you get the gist!
We figured maybe it will be quieter on our return trip (well, that didn't happen!)
A DNF for us today.
Thanks, Robmc.

DNF. Day 22 of our SA holiday. After a couple of days off the bikes we were keen to get back on them so decided to do the LPT Trail as far as we could go. After a bit of a delay this morning because I awoke with a nasty headache we got away to a late start finding the first one at 11.10am. We were going along well, enjoying the ride until it all fell apart at # 18. I had been warning Rob of bindis since I saw some in the car tyres at Moota and today they struck in full force. As we sat and ate lunch at the nice picnic tables at #18 we watched 3 tyres go down. Dammit and blast - there goes the caching day down the gurgler. A long walk for Rob back to #1 and now both bikes are at the local bike shop getting fancy new bindi-proof tyres (hopefully)!
Well, we were going to have another go at this on the return journey but that didn't happen. Another day perhaps.

I was tootling along the LPT by bike today
Here at the railway crossing,
I took a fizzy cola break,
while a goods train roared overhead [:o]
Well that was fun
And a minute or two later,
I soon had this tricky little cache in paw [^]
TFTC, I'm chuffed

Finally got on the right track ! Obvious once u see it which is why it's great, cheers cobber.
Out with geo daughter (laminated llama). She freaked out about the toot toot. This is one of my favorite cache. Ingenious.
This one drove us nuts but we were determined to find it and achieved it in the end.... Absolutely loved this one.... TFTC
3 generations of cachers out and about today finding a few local caches.
Glad the local transport wasn't in attendance.
Glad the local transport wasn't in attendance.
Headed out today to grab some of the caches closer to home, its quite obvious once you have found it. TFTC
Looked everywhere with traceyheath. Had no luck at all. Will go back for another look but maybe without the kids as the trains passing over scared the living day lights out of them
Searched high and low but couldn't find, kids were dreaming out with the trains so decided to move on to the next one, will try again
A song for the muggles (as sung from the point of view of McKee Clan):
(its a real song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ipI2qnUGuQ)
"Don't mess with my Toot Toot
don't mess with my Toot Toot
you can steal the other caches
but don't mess with my Toot Toot
This cache was just one cache
In many caches in a line
But this cache special
This cache is truly fine
You can look and sign
but of you don't leave the cache behind
your gonna have yourself a mental
I'm gonna break your pencil!!"
LOL just having a little fun. This was an easy find on a night time raid of this end of the remainder of the LPTs I haven't found.
Thanks, McKee Clan

I found this cache whilst commuting home to the Riverland from Adelaide.
Thanks for a nice excuse to stop and explore.

Found whilst caching with H.7 and ticking a few more of our close to home caches off of the list.

Out for a walk with the oldest member of young Einstein's nice day for it. While looking a train went over wich was a bit freaky took a few minutes to find bout found in the end grate hide love one's that are in plane sight but take some time to find. Tftc
Took abit to find. In NZ this cache would not be allowed because of it's location. Have come across a few like this on my trip so the rules must be different over here
#1779 In the area and up for a spot of caching and a quiet walk. Searched for a while until something attracted my attention. Then the ah ha moment!! Great hide, thanks McKee Clan, a fav from us.
Out for a walk today and stopped again to try and find this one green spot amongst all the yellows on my map. After reading the logs and a little research, I was pretty sure what I was looking for . A quick find this time and my first find of this style of container. Very clever! Nearly couldn't sign the log as it was jammed in so tight, but eventually managed to coax it out. Returned as found in between passing muggles! TNLN SL Thanks for the cache and this wonderful series. [^]
12:15PM. Just prior to finding, a very long freight train with double layered carriages went by, giving geokid #2 a toot, wave and smile. Found the cache but then had to do the bolt when another train went over us! (Bringing a shiver to geokid #2). TFTC McKee Clan for another well planned cache.
Wasn't terribly hopeful after the recent DNFs but it was Purple_Shark who made a clever deduction and soon we had the cache in our hands. I think PS is developing a keen cacher eye! Great hide. A fave from us. TFTC
Third time lucky with this cache. After a couple of unsuccessful visits (the first time we found part of the logbook on the ground), we finally laid our hand on the little sucker We were pretty sure it was going to be there and also also what it would look like. We just had to come at a time when there was a cache there, knowing its unfortunate history with muggles. Hope it stays in place for a long time to come! TNLNSL TFTC
Clever - Master of Disguise!!

Find 2180 New Year Honours for BFE.
Found this time, touched last time but did not realise it was the cache.
Did not need the height extender I had with me today.
Thanks to the McKee Clan for the cache.
Fine Elsewhere

After looking and looking using the hints and previousslogs we had no luck. Were just about to give up, even with a previous finder, a Rat saw something unusual sitting on the ground, wallah, it was the cache. Have returned it to a suitable position but not sure if it is where it should be. No need to climb. TFTC
All ready logbook small but will last. This one moves around a lot and hint will only match after maintenance is done as cachers must enjoy making it harder for others. I believe put it back where you found it even if you think there is a better spot. It makes the hint useless if you move it.
Tftc. Found it but I doubted Melsy, then further investigation into the find we dismantled it an shazam..!
Mr TiedyeSmileys got a bit too keen on the search for this one and had his head up near the sleepers when a train suddenly passed overhead. Talk about a bit of a start. Mrs TiedyeSmileys finally found it back down at a much more sensible level.

After visiting friends this afternoon, thought we would stop off and make a start on this trail. LPT 5... look out for trains!!! Just managed to squeeze onto log.... very full, needs replacing!! TFTC!!
Found but couldn't log sorry tftc

I scrambled up, confident of a find and spotted
two needles. I'm all for CITO but I wasn't prepared
for disposing of that kind of waste.
I'll come back another day.

We joined forces with FelixII today for another days caching in the greater Adelaide area before our imminent departure. The boys set out on the bikes to hunt down the Nexy series, while the girls had a much more sedate day which involved stopping for coffee along the way.
We had a great day, thanks for your cache McKee Clan

Nice hide really like these ones. Scroll needs a new one only one spot on it left.
Today was a rest day and a chance to catch up with caching friends SYLKEN. After a pub lunch we were heading off to find a few caches and this one popped up very conveniently located.
We parked near LPT6 and walked across the bridge but alas we searched and searched with muggles moving past and us trying to look inconspicuous. After using the phone to read some more back logs we were all certain of what we were looking for but still the cache was not located.
Being unhappy at being the only people who could not find this cache we sent out a prayer and phoned the CO. He confirmed what we had already thought and could not believe that we could not see it. One last clamber and looksee and Mr Felix almost put his foot on the cache! [:o)] [xx(]
Dont knw how but it had become dislodged from it's home! Cache was replaced as per the hint and directions from the CO. Phew a smilie for us after all. [^]

Out caching for the afternoon with WA geofrinds FelixII. We had just had a DNF on another close by cache in this series but this one seemed to have had a recent find so we were surprised that four pairs of eyes couldn't spot the hide...especially when two of the pairs of eyes belonged to a couple of very experienced cachers
Fortunately the owners of those eyes also had the phone number of the CO, who confirmed that we were correct in our assumptions of the cache type. Another brief search and the cache was found....not where it should have been.......but now replaced in the right spot.
Mrs FelixII and Mrs Sylken (who are both vertically challenged) were very glad to have Mr FelixII along who's head reaches cloud height and Mr Sylken who (along with Mr FelixII) still retains some of the genes from his simian ancestors.
Three trains passed overhead while we were making the search...and one of those was a goods train so this was quite a noisy find
Very many thanks for the hide (and the phone assistance) McKee Clan [^]

[Wow - keep your head down ! Scary cache....great location, but scary !]
It was high up, as one of the previous log entries said, it's within 30cms of the sleeper, so I couldn't reach it from the ground.
