Logs
Found in pieces and not sure where to put it. Have messaged owner. Needs attention
Worth the climb and muddy wet feet. Don't know if we would have found it if there wasn't a golf ball near it though.
Out hunting with Island Bay Scouts
Log book is too wet to write on. Definitely needs replacing.

Evening walk through the hills of Wellington. Suddenly standing on a golf course, huh? Interesting surprise. Cache was an easy find, tftc!
A good excuse for a walk along the city to sea walkway. Very nice hiding spot. Cache is okay condition but a bit damp. Yay Streak day #70. TFTC
Didn't realize how steep the goat track was. Tried to access on our e-bikes but ended up leaving them below. There were 2 muggles and their dog sitting opposite GZ but we plowed ahead anyway as we didn't want to have our efforts wasted. Spent some time trying to locate but @peadub didn't give up and soon has the cache in hand. Signed log and replaced where found. TFTC.
Really well hidden beneath pines and needles, so replaced it where I found it. Tftc

good walk through the course to find this one, got some wet feet in the process. TFTC
Returning back home form some other caches in the general area I decided it was time to go and grab his one too. It was getting dark, which was good as it meant I didn't have to avoid any stray golf balls, and once I made it up to the search area the cache was quickly found, TFTC.
Whoa that's a hill to walk up. Found it, paper is a little wet still in tact but may need more sealing.
Trying to find somewhere to park today was a bit of a mission since all the streets are chocka with cars thanks for the sports going on. But I managed to park in Duppa street and come via the golf course. A lot of golfers out today and also people playing Disc Golf (or whatever it's called). Interesting that all the golfers were young people instead of the stereotypical middle aged men with bad dress sense. I guess that's to be expected on an inner city golf course.
I got close to GZ at about the same time as a group were working the nearby green so I hung back for a while as I tried to figure out where I actually needed to go. Unfortunately my GPS batteries were flat so I was making do with my phone which seems to be mostly hopeless at giving me good directional information. So after a couple of navigation fails it occurred to me to look at the satellite view which then made it obvious where I should be. By this time the green was clear and I could search without onlookers. I was surprised to find the cache in the logical place after trying to look for a different type of hide for reasons not entirely clear to me.
Thanks for bringing me somewhere new.

Approached from the north and wandered across a few fairways on the way. A clear chilly evening with no-one about. Was a bit spooky trying to find a way out in the dark. Tftc
Found with Pup. I read previous logs and prepared a few items to bring along to keep this cache going. I decided to park at the end of Morton St, across from the Berhampore Nursery where a number of bushes are flourishing. The walk up was easy enough and pup met a few four legged muggles on our way up. I took a slight detour off the City to Sea walkway and once at GZ had a quick look in the wrong spot (phone GPS failed me ) I restarted the app and soon realised I should have just gone to the obvious spot to start with. A quick fondle and I had the cache. I put in a fresh logsheet, (double bagged!) which hopefully remains dry and ready for future cachers

My day started at at 5.15am with a goal of caching down in wellington with Twignz and Etherlord Clan, the weather was amazing and we ended up with a few finds under our belt finished the day around 9pm and the shower and bed never felt so good as it did that night.
thanks for placing the caches and bringing us to the locations we visited. - sorry about the copy and paste logs

What a fantastic day to be out and about in the Capital (read Target-rich environment lol!) with a couple of great geo-friends. You just can't beat Wellington on a good day, and this certainly was one. Note to self: Time to start wearing caps again!
Part of our discussion on our journey down was centered around what our joint logging name would be for today, with the final choice being Team M.E.T (or sometimes just MET depending on log space) for Mar1sa, Etherlord and TwigNZ.
This would be our third find for the day (of over 40) and a bit of a convoluted route to get to it. We thought we'd be smart and drive as close as we could. Well as it turns out that wasn't as smart as we had hoped. We ended up about 60m away, but on the wrong side of a fence. We ended up still taking the direct route and the cache was a quick find once there.
We ended up improvising a new log thanks to Mar1sa, which was signed before the whole lot was replaced as found before heading back to the car.

TwigNZ suggested a caching roadtrip to Wellington with Mar1sa, which sounded like an excellent day out of the house! - which is a novel idea considering that I'm still Working from Home...
The downside of this plan is that the first cache was 2+hrs from home which meant a much earlier start than I am otherwise used to.
We had an excellent trip, and Wellington really turned on the sunshine for us - Twig's "solar panel" definitely got some exposure
In the absence of a waypoint for Parking, we drove as close as the GPS would take us - straight into the Home of Compassion. We had a look at their Grotto and then scooted around the perimeter of the property to where we could hear people talking and laughing.
We scaled the fence and followed the bush track towards GZ, cresting the green, and approaching the host. It was at this point that the three of us realised in unison that we had all left our cache maintenance kits in the car and didn't have the replacement logbook that we discussed bringing
Sorry Felix!
Mar1sa added her signature swag, which includes a small piece of paper saying "Made by Mar1sa" on one side... This will have to do until someone more prepared can do a better job than us

After more than a year since last found, I finally got this one (it only took me three attempts). However, I'd failed to recall IB's note about the log, neglecting to bring any replacements with me. It was sodden, and unrescuable. Thanks for the hide, Felix, but it needs some Tlc.
I saw there was a clue in this cache to help me solve the 'mystery at the museum' challenge. This is one of only a few traditional caches close to my home that I haven't collected yet - saving them for dot days. But today was a dot day...
A nice walk in the dark, and a quick find at the GZ. Couldn't sign the waterlogged log.

Found with lenagem and sweatyyetinz. Couldn’t sign log as it was damp and mouldy. Unfortunately we didn’t have a replacement log on us. Lenagem has sent CO a photo as proof of find. Tftc.
Made our way up to GZ. Found it with 4T6and2 and Sweatyyetinz. The cache was very wet and we couldn’t sign it. Took a photo as proof. Tftc
My son is playing football at Wakefield Park this morning. He wanted to be there early for the warm up, so I had plenty of time to come up here and have a look for this one.
The cache is in fair condition. A bit damp. There are a few bits of loose paper in the little plastic bag and it is hard to figure out which one to write on. I think I found the previous log and followed after that.
Thank you

A few golfers around today. Very windy here compared with down on the road - the golfers must be very hardy. A nice easy find in the first place I looked. Continued along the circuit to the main entrance and the road. A nice first visit (apart from the wind!) - TFTC.
Thank you nice golf course must come here one day. Look like a bit of up and down
#202. A nice walk in the wind through the golf course up to GZ. Easy find, tftc. There used to be a childcare centre up near here (Mother Aubert's Childcare) that my grandsons went to. Sadly it was demolished a couple of years ago, when asbestos was discovered in the ceiling.
Walked up from Corner Kick to polish this one off. Another smiley on the map. TFTC
#620 Back in Wellington for a course nearby. Lovely spot with a great view. I needed to be quick with golfing muggles at the tee. TFT(wood)C.
Having been smuggled out of looking for corner kick I headed further in and up. Quickly grabbed and signed. Thanks for the cache.
Golf course pretty busy but managed to protect ourselves from flying projectiles in the trees. TFTC
A quick find with TregearP on a warm spring afternoon. Coordinates spot on and a nice walk through the golf course.
All in good order, TFTC.

Cool spot took me and NoaHolmes about half and hour to find
Still dont get the hint though

#1303. Wow, you learn something everyday when geocaching. I had no idea there was a golf course in Island Bay. Obviously didn't read the cache description. I parked in Rhine Street and headed uphill and discovered Our Lady's House of Compassion. Not sure whether public access is allowed through here but I wandered up the road and reached the interesting shrine. Fascinating little cave and statues. Realised at this stage the cache was actually on a golf course. So crossed the fence and after a bit of a bush bash I was onto a path and up past the tee-off platforms. The GZ became apparent and the cache was found in the first place checked. The logbook was damp so I added a fresh sheet from my notebook and sealed in a ziplock bag. Returned cache as found and backtracked down to Rhine Street. Thanks for showing me a part of Wellington I didn't know existed.
Right where I first looked! Basicly fell from the hiding place thinking it was more coplicated than it was.
It's been many years since I've played this course and walking up towards the cache I got flashbacks to the struggles I had (not that I've ever been any kind of special player, anyway). Got to the GZ and had a good hunt in the obvious location and eventually came up to par - the cache was certainly very much in the rough. Although the log book was quite in a state of disrepair, I did manage to find some space to record my score. TFTC
Steep club. Luckily no golfers. Log has got wet and full so needs a replacement. TFTC
Wasn't too sure how to access this one, came from the most direct looking route on the map, luckily it was after hours and no one was around at the Home of Compassion. Scrambled down a bank and after a short walk, found the cache
An enjoyable walk over the golf course where I first learnt to hit a ball. A lot less gorse now and the trees have grown. I nearly didn't recognise one hole.
Made the quick find but it was a slow sign with the log book wet and falling to bits.

Quick find on a pleasant Sunday morning, TFTC, #7237 - log book quite damp and disintegrating, could do with some TLC.
Cache # 1,918 - The first sign today that spring is not far away - my first morning cache in months where I didn't need my torch! A pleasant walk this morning across the deserted course. I had previously tried this from what appeared to be the closest road, only to find no path through there, so took the longer approach today. Cache was a near instant find at the GZ. Log book needs replacing (will do a maintenance note), but all good inside. Signed my name in one of the only available places and replaced the cache. TNLN. TFTC!
Log book needs replacing. It fell apart in my hands and is full to boot.
#502 Wandered along for a bit trailing after this cache - the terraine was kind however. The log book was pretty wet and pretty full. Managed to scribe my name - not really much more space.
Quick find but log book needs maintenance - has got damp and only a line or two left.
Perhaps Sunday morning wasn't the best choice for a stealthy sneak up on this cache, but after I'd decided to pause to get my breath back and waited for a group to sink their putts, I was able to get want was needed once they'd moved on and before the next group walked up. Log a touch damp but still usable. TFTC.
Found on a wet day with no one around nice. Easy find but no pen so did not write in log.
Logbook like a well used nappy - full and damp! Broken glass is back too so watch out for that.
Oh good one! I nearly gave up but thought to 'dig deep for the cache!' and there is was. Replaced not quite so deep but under some cover. TFTC Hadn't been here since giving golf a go in the 90's.
Out for a bit of a wander.
Had to dig a bit to get the cache, watch out for the glass!
(I removed most of it)

Maybe I should start doing this during the day, that makes only 1/5 caches found this evening. I looked in the "obvious" place, but didn't find it.
Not a golfer in sight up here this morning, and very strange as there is almost no wind. Cache had water in it but log book still quite dry. tftc
While the youngster had his football training on the artifical turf went for a walk up the hill. Quickly found in the logical location with out any muggle issues. Nice views back down into the valley and around this evening. TFTC
Staying at the sisters for compassion while attending a meeting so the natural thing to do in the evening is to go for a walk and geocache.
Finally! Was very well obscured... Many muggles avoided. Pick taken, sticker added. TFTC!
I got it with dickos fortuna.. it was in an obvious place but took a while to find. Nubars
Curses... First unsuccessful mission. Looked for quite a while, ended up losing light. Wasn't anywhere obvious as far as we could tell.
A bit windy out and about today but the rain held off so found a few on my afternoon walk. TFTC
