A nice and easy find here

Out in the area to go to uni this morning at Mawson lakes, with a few hours to kill afterwards I made my way around the local area with a detour in the way home to collect some caches.

I think this was one of the first BFE puzzles that I looked at and completed since the difficulty rating was friendly enough, and the solving method was obvious enough. I made tracks at finding the required numbers, and the check returned green for me.

Tonight following a pod cast event, I was driving past this location, and the park gates were still open. The only difficulty I had was some wandering coordinates, but once that settled, the location was obvious in the first place that I looked. Thanks Bob From Elsewhere.

I had to use the checker to make sure Bob wasn't having me with a simple puzzle. The find did take a few minutes but we got there in the end. TFTC BFE!

I think growing up slim dusty was my dads favorite person to listen to in the car and i swear wore out more than one cassette tape playing it back to back.

Another great hiding spot, photos taken near GZ for possible CITO event soon, as it desperately needs it. Typical of my luck today, 2 police cars were nearby discussing life so had to make a return visit after a DNF not far away. Thanks again BFE for another adventure... Cheers

I was getting icecream nearby and could not resist in grabbing this one today. I have so many solved but unfound bob puzzles I could probably set my self a BFE streak challenge. Thanks Bob Smile

Out for a big day of geocaching with Brisal5, Anymules and KiwiOzzie. With these puzzle solvers on board I knew I was in for a big day of grabbing caches as well as many giggles (mainly me). Thanks for hiding this cache for our enjoyment and adding to the adventure.

Popped out for a quick lunch today (not so quick as Churchill Rd was dug up) and decided to get this one on the way home. It was a bit cobwebby in the hiding spot but that did not deter me. I don't think I will be rushing out to buy the album! TFTC Bob.

Took me a good half hour doing all the work needed to solve this bewdy of a puzzle Wink I eventually got a set of co-ords that made Geo-Checker happy with that 'Froggy-Colour' Cacher's like Big Grin After work today and some DNF's later, I really needed to find this (my last chance of last night's solved puzzles) cache to come through for me and this BFE hide did just that Smile A nice swift find was made at GZ [^]. SL at 17:00 on Tue 28 Feb. 2017 (I just had to grab a cache for the last day of Summer Wink) and "Reel Dusty Tracks" was the one. Cache and contents are perfect [^] TFTC BFE Smile

Please excuse my generic log. I flew into Adelaide today. Some of your puzzles were far too difficult for me to solve but others I was able to make progress with, although I admit that a local friend came in handy when I needed some guidance. I explored for three hours this afternoon and it proved to be the perfect quiet time to log the finds. Thank you so much for the time and effort you have put into your mystery caches; it made for a fun adventure.

Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Recall opening this one up a long time ago, early in my Bob puzzle solving days and thought I can do this. It took a while but eventually I got to it and solved the puzzle and got Coords that got the green tick on geochecker. Plotted the Coords and noted the location and put it into the TBF queue till the right moment.
So, this morning woke up early in the heat. It was still 32 early in the morning so decided that it was time to get dusty before it got hot and dusty. So, made the early foray into Boblands, parked nearby and made a quick find of a well hidden cache in good condition, not too dusty. Retreated to the cool of the car to sign log and reassembled it and then wandered back and replaced it as found.
Back to the cool of the car and back home, ready to start a hot and busy day.
Gratias pro cache Bob.

I came to GZ in July with my buddy Brisal5, however the cache was MIA - so it was great to see that it had been replaced and was an ultra quick find after a visit to my fav shop close by.

Thanks for the cache Bob From Elsewhere! Smile

31-Oct-16
Time for a caching day with Hevwalker and later Locus Cache. Off to a bad start my pocket query wouldn't go through. So starting 30 minutes late our planned trip to Sedan to cache hit it's first hurdle. Overnight I had figured I wanted to drop a certain TB in a certain cache and go past another certain cache for my 2nd D/T loop. Hurdles two and three. We were to meet up with Locus Cache out near BFE territory for the drive out to sedan. Lucky we are flexible as when we all finally got together it was already lunch time (hurdle 4) and so we hit the BFE finding tour instead. Lucky we did as two new caches were published in the area and we got two FTF's whilst driving around. One a BFE! Hoot. Cool
Our rendezvous point with Locus was very near hear so whilst we waited we were able to grab a few more caches. Having previously had a DNF here I was relieved to find that the cache had been replaced and was in the very first place I looked...er felt. Smile Sorry spideys, you will have to make all those webs again. Surprised Thanks Bob From Elsewhere for the puzzle, although Dusty was a bit before my time and great hide. Big Grin

Out & about with brisal5 today...we were meant to be on our way to Sedan...at least that was the original plan...brisal5 said let's take a slight detour...hmmm!!!...we never did get to Sedan...
Brisal5 had a DNF on this one previously so was keen to get a smiley for it this visit.

Sadly this cache is missing Bob Sad ....I was out with CPwanderer and Brisal5 and we searched GZ thoroughly. We then rang the last finder who confirmed we were in the correct spot looking in the correct hidy-hole.

22-Jul-16
After attending a Pi event for breakfast I found myself in the city with nothing to do all day but cache my way around until it was time for another Pi event for Dinner. Razz The second event was to be hosted by the one and only BFE, so perhaps I should make it a BFE day and grab a few of the numerous ones sitting on my solved but yet to find list. Cool Joined up with Goodlook and CPWanderer after the breakfast and set off in search of getting closer to BFE nirvana. Of course no doubt a few other close by caches would not be ignored. Wink
Oh dear. Had I got it wrong. Nope. Rang the last finder who confirmed I was in the right spot, looking at the right hidey hole but all I could see were some scrape marks. Sad

I was born a country boy so growing up I heard quite a bit of Dusty while growing up.

With the weather forecast indicating a top of 43 today I decided to get an early start to the caching day.

I was pointed towards this one today by the CO. It appears there are a number of lists with the relevant info but which can give different answers. If you get rubbish try another list. JB suggested I might want to try his after my first attempt was not helpful. Good advice indeed Smile
A smilie was gained from the geochecker.
At GZ the BFE style hide and container was quickly found. Nice cache Smile

Dropped in today and managed a find and sign without alerting muggles
all too happy playing nearby with their dogs, shopping, driving, walking.

Left trackable for next to move on.

It's not often Mr Tardis looks at a BFE puzzle and knows what to do. Oddly this one was quite straightforward and a solution soon presented itself.

Today I was going past GZ and made a quick stop here to find the cleverly concealed container in a familiar location.

Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Bob From Elsewhere.

Bonza! Solved quite a while ago and today was the day to find this cache. A quick find and sign. If only we had a cassette player in the car, we could have listened to Slim all the way home. I'm sure the kids would have enjoyed that? TFTC!

I made tracks this morning to reach what used to be a dusty track.
There is a very nice area tucked away through the gate and down the track a bit Smile
As I approached GZ I thought for a moment that the council had put up a memorial to BFE [:o]
There is a resemblance Wink
With the pushbike leaning against the handy parking spot, I soon found the well constructed and concealed cache [^]

Thanks for a reely fun cache Smile
Nice to have an easy one to relieve the mental strain !!

PS: I haven't seen one of those reels for a while [:o]

Another easy(?) BFE puzzle solved and found. Who knew there were so many possible tracks? Google wasn't particularly helpful initially either, but finally we managed to source a local site that provided the answers. The park itself is a little gem hidden away from the busy road, went past it many times but never knew it existed. Costco is coming along nicely, too Smile TNLNSL TFTC

Solved the puzzle earlier in the week. Geomum was at the nearby shopping centre today for the first time and called by GZ on the way home. Parked reel close to GZ and managed to grab the cache after a couple of cars left the car park. Signed the logbook in the car and waited for another muggle to drive past before replacing the cache to its hide! Reel busy there today!

It's not often you get propositioned by a 'lady of the night' while you're caching. A rare experience! She looked like she'd seen a few dusty tracks as well. There wasn't much tread left on the tyres as a result. I pretended to be lost (standing there with a GPS in his hand).

We enjoyed the research for this puzzle as it brought back some great memories of Slim Dusty songs. This evening we went to look for the cache and our luck was holding - even at 18:45 the gates were still open. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache Bob From Elsewhere.

Found It!
I solved this puzzle some time ago. It was much easier than the standard Bob puzzle. I fact, did you even make this puzzle Bob? It just seems way to sensible and logical for you...
Quick find at GZ however I think the nearby construction workers may have been more attention to me than I first thought...

A lot of time was put in solving puzzles before leaving the West for the Oz Mega Event in Murray Bridge. Some of them have been found and many are still waiting to be found, but, with one day to go before our caching buddies fly back home to WA it seems that we have just about run out of time. We had great fun solving some puzzles while others that tested the brain.
We found a variety of caches today, some puzzles, some multis and some traditional, thanks for your cache Bob From Elsewhere, we had fun.

27-Apr-14
Had an enjoyable time (though sometimes frustrating) solving some of the puzzles of this CO. Bob you have a most inventive and novel way of putting a puzzle together and we greatly appreciated the effort you have put into them. The topic of this puzzle was not one we would normally b e familiar with but found the answers easily enough. Pity we haven't more time here after attending the Oz Mega Event as there is still a fistful of solved puzzles that will have to wait for another trip. Thanks Bob From Elsewhere.

Decided tonight after work I was going to go and grab a few caches as I had no other plans and what better way to spend a Friday night. Had a few of Bob's puzzles in my solved folder that were all around the same area so off I headed. Big Grin
It was great to have a BFE puzzle that was a joy to solve. [^] [^]
Got to GZ and thankfully no muggles around so I was able to make a quick find. Cool
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache BFE. Smile

21-Feb-14
We need to get our number of BFE finds up and Geodad happened to be in the area today, so we crossed this one off our "solved but not found" list. I must admit I didn't grow up in Oz, so I wasn't greatly exposed to these highly cultural things, but one classic is at least known far and wide. Great hide as well, but found with GPS (Sorry Bob). Took TB, signed log and returned. Thanks BFE!

A Bob puzzle that doesn’t make your brain explode? That is actually enjoyable to solve? That is in a pleasant park with historical overtones? Who are you and what have you done with Bob From Elsewhere? And can you keep him stashed away and produce more of these puzzles please?

I wound up and down many dusty tracks before I found the right one then the going was easy.

I am waiting on a call from the police after doing this cache. The cleaner got a bit narked at goings on at GZ, other peoples not mine, and asked me a thousand and one questions just after I'd retuned the cache. (I don't think he saw me replacing the cache.) He then pulled out his mobile and called the police. The others scampered.

Thanks for the puzzle and cache, and an interesting experience at GZ, BFE.

I actually followed the Tomtom home today so came a different route than normal and got a bonus for doing so! Cool
It took me down this road and, while driving past, I suddenly became conscious of the fact that the park was open Surprised!

Having tried before to locus cache here and being thwarted by locked gates I was not going to miss the opportunity to get in and get the cache today, despite the heat and my tiredness! Big Grin

Today I was listening to Tammy Wynette not Slim Dusty, however my mother and her sister both reely liked Slim Dusty. Seems somethings heard when you are young do get retained by the brain! Wink

Why would someone be sitting in their car near GZ? Perhaps the police could provide an answer. I went to the servo for a drink and snack but he was still there. So I parked a short distance away and he eventually left.

When I arrived at GZ I kinda wished I was elsewhere. There may have been multiple tracks here once, but around lunch time I only saw a few people with a 'one track mind'. It reminded me of a country song (you may have come accross this one in your travels) 'Just saddle old darkie' :p
