Logs
As we did the ride today decided to check on this one but two sets of eyes didn't spot it.
Completed the series today, but we were unable to find #2 & #8. Thanks anyway a good time was had by all.
Decided to put the Giant Road bike to good use this morning and went for a little ride to find J&B Freeway Bike Hike caches. After seeing the obvious cachers tracks, I was discouraged when I saw that I had to go thru mud. Look cleats don't not like mud. I had a good look with no success, the long grass and mud made the searching hard, after reading the logs I had an idea what I was trying to find but the vegetation made the going hard.
So a DNF here, maybe I should done the GumNuts parks 1st so I could get an idea of their cunning caches. Again it seems that cachers are not logging their DNF's as there was signs of recent searching here.
Please log your DNF's otherwise, the hiders can't keep check of their caches.

sneaky bugger this one, but it wasnt untill the way back when we realised how it had been in front of our eyes the whole time

Well a little further to ride, but still not far. We arrived at this one and from watching it for a while, I know that there have been troubles finding it. With the updated coordinates in hand (GPSr rather) we follwed the cacher trail straight to a post. Nothing there. Oh great, here we go. I checked we had the right coordinates by checking them live through the iPhone. Yep, got them right. Back to looking. Geoson wanted to quite after about 3 minutes, but I was persistent. After a while, I cracked and asked a past finder for a hint, which they kindly supplied. Then Geoson found the cache by kicking it. Hmmm, I put the GPSr on top and, with 3m of error, reckon that the old coordinates are better than the new ones! We were about 10m out apparently.
Anyway, we got the find and were off again
Thanks for the cache gum-nuts
Cheers

Clever camo. Check out the spiders up the sign-post. I think that's where the sheep in the nearby paddock have disappeared to.
Found the blighter this time, nice camo, walked straight past it several times. SL TFTH

After the last DNF, thought I would pop down and check on the cache, unfortunately it's gone!
We will return with the same camo!

Just a quick zip down from BH1. Took me a while to realise I was looking right at it, though!!

As it wasn't covered today I found the cache without any trouble on the way to GZ. The other couple of times I've been here GZ has been 7m or more north so I had little chance of finding it with the amount of grass around at those times. Today GZ on the GPS was still 7m north after waiting 15 minutes at the cache to see if it shifted any over time.
Thanks for the cache. Now off to do the last one I haven't done in this series.

Finally found it! We stopped to have another look between going from my nephew's wedding and the reception. So happy as this was about our 5th attempt.Thank you gumnuts
Went and checked on this again this morning - It is there, I have made it slightly more obvious as it was covered and well hidden. Anybody want a hint, then let me know?
Happy hunting.
Happy hunting.
second DNF on this cache even though I took Mrs Blingg along, we searched everywhere we could think of between GZ and 10m either way but came away without a smiley
Could not find this one, lots of ants so did not want to hunt to much............
Popped down the road to check on this as we had a DNF, it is still there and we thought more obvious that last time we checked! Took some trackables for a visit!

Tried to find this cache today but the GPS had GZ in the middle of the path so had a lot to look at. The winter grass didn't help with the looking. Judging by the logs this cache is a hit or miss find and I did a miss.
At last we found this one. It took us a few goes but as per the other logs, it is there and our insistance paid off. Now the series is complete. Signed the log. TFTH
we found the first one and then drove a little closer to it and then looked for a while and then found it, and i thought it was a very clever hiding place
Tried this once before with no luck, and today with GeoSon it was turning out the same way, we then chatted about what the camo could be, I looked down and noticed something strange, yes the cache SL TNLN TFTH[ ]
Third, or is it fourth time lucky! We went armed with even more explicit instructions than last time. Today however the cache wasn't covered and was easy to see, so a quick find was made. A relief to get this one off our DNF list. TFTH

How could I missed this 2 weeks ago. Today it was a search of 1 minute, although my coords were 6 m off. Now I have them all, thanks Jess and Bob for this nice series.
Cheers from Germany.

We had an explicit hint and we still couldn't find it - we think someone had better come and hold our hands for this one!!!
YAY!! [^]
Couldn't resist coming back for another attempt, seeing that I was 'sort of' in the area - well, only about 20kms away... This time I widened the search a little and with great gusto pounced on 'it', about 5m south of where my GZ was showing. A very satisfying conclusion to the Bike Hike. Thanks again for all your ingenuity, gum-nuts.

I could not find this fellow. After a search of 20 minutes I proceeded southwards and met MickeyDV at Cnetral Baldivis, who told me that he found it on the way here. So after my tour I decided to give it another try. So I was standing at gz (0m) and looked everywhere. Then I called Mick and he told me where to look and what to look. Obviously I was blind today. After I received two bites from nearby bull ants (wow, that really hurts, Jesus, never had this "experience" before) I was so pissed-of that I left.
But I will be back definetly within the next weeks before returning to Germany.
Best regards

Was determined not to leave until I found it.... I mean how many places could you put a bike...eventually located it ... and it was not something I expected to see out here....thanks gum_nuts great to finish off an enjoyable series
Very sadly I have to add my name to the collection of DNFs.
I examined everything that was kickable, tread-onable, put-bike-onable, pick -upable, - everything but for the cache itself.
Nipped off down the path to find #3, then had another go of scratching the soil, fervently hoping that big bull ants nest close by didn't decide to attack, and eventually gave up.

After the third DNF thought I should go and have a look...
It's still there, in fact it was more obvious than last time I checked on it.

We finally found Quagmire then we finally found Flora of the Perth Region 2 - now we have a new nemesis. Another DNF for us!
I searched everywhere, read the logs, and looked very hard, but not today, the cache would not appear. Maybe next time
I can't believe we missed this. On a trip back from the airport geomum and geokids decided to have a quick stop and look for it as we read the other logs last night and thought we might be able to find it Well i don't think we were even there a minute before i had the cache in my hand. I should have read the logs yesterday before we set out on our ride. But in saying that i don't even recall seeing it yesterday, but i bet we would've all stepped on it! It was covered but we could've done that yesterday in our search.Good hide and once again thanks gum-nuts for a great lot of caches
Our gps was telling us that gz was on the white strip in the middle of the path. We searched both sides of the path for a while for this one but the sun was setting and it was getting freezing so we decided to give up. We have since read the logs and thought we were probably standing on it. We will be back.
After a couple of DNFs went to check on it this morning - it is still there but looks like it may have been stood on in the hunt and was very well hidden! It did take me a few minutes to locate it and I knew what i was looking for and where it is hidden! I have made it slightly more obvious - but it is a camo, so tread carefully!
We searched for quite a while, read the previous log entries, searched some more, but did not find.
No joy with this today. After finding all the others in this series, this one had us stumped. We check GZ twice and still was not to be today. Bugger :>(
Found with wot and Big Dan.
This one took us quite a while to find. We were close to giving up when I read out a few clues that people had left.
So we searched some more, until Big Dan just happened to kick it, and taa-daa! We finally found it

Looked and Looked with Johnnycashe62 but couldn't find will come back so as to have finished the series.
Close to where I parked the car. I searched for this one first but drew a blank to I went on to find the first one in the series. I came back and had another look and was just about to give it away when I realised I had parked the bike right on top of it. Easy when you know what the camo is,
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Took us a while to find it until BigDan found this one.. After saying.. "All i found was this"
spent over half an hour looking for this cache, searched under every bush within 50m of GZ on both sides of the path but then gave up and went and got a smiley on the rest along the Freeway. After riding around Baldivis on the Geobike I came back but again no smiley although I did nearly put my foot in a soldier ants nest.
Perhaps the co-ords need checking and GZ looked at to see if the cache is still there

Just been and checked it after the two DNFs, its there! The co-ords are good.
In the descrition it tells you some are nasty nanos, some are 200ml sistema cliplock, some are mint tins and some are camo!
No clues yet - to me it seems fairly obvious, but then I hid it!

Just had to go back and crack this one with Geodad.. In the end geomum found it and yes it is very obvious once you find it.. Well done.. We did find that our GPS was 8m away from cache.. Look forward to cracking the others sometime soon.. TFTH SL...
Tried this one as well after doing #3 but couldnt find it. Geokids getting restless so will attempt another day. Maybe do them all on our bikes to..
