Parked at the Caltex and set out on foot to do all the caches that I hadn't yet done along the Freeway bike path between Safety Bay Road and Mundijong Road. This one was off the radar, but popped up on my GPSr due to an old pocket query still saved there ... bit of a bonus to pick up an unexpected archived find.

Signed the log and claiming the find. Thanks for the hide gum-nuts

When I found this one, I made a mental note to write a "Needs Maintenance" log, not realising it was archived at the time ... then when I noticed that the next cache was less than 30 metres away, the penny dropped Big Grin.

On arriving at GZ where the Fitzys had been looking for a couple of minutes, As AliedOz mentioned i spotted the Prize from the foot path, so i got off my bike to retreive it in seconds the look on Daz's (TheFitzys) face was priceless!! TFTC!!!

30-Jun-13
Out for a ride with Rokadz and Allied OZ. Had been looking for this one for a couple of minutes going around in circles when Rokadz just rides straight to it and barely gets off his bike to pick it up from a spot i already checked. But it's wasn't a competition was it....?

Pulled up on the bike with The Fitzys already having searched the area for a couple of minutes, saw what I thought to be the cache from the track but disregarded it as there was no way he could have missed it. Rokadz them pulled up, walked over and bent over and picked up the cache, right under The Fitzys nose much to his disgust and my enjoyment. Razz

Great weather for a ride this morning. I headed out with Jasenjanine & Csucat to do some of the periodic table. We set off at Telephone lane with 2 geokids in tow (Charlie & Nate)

Along the way we had plenty offers for help and "Are you ok" from passing cyclists. It was a nice easy ride and we managed to find almost all of the caches we set out to find. Thanks Gum nuts for the adventure!

14-May-13
A great morning of caching with Janine (of JasenJanine) and and Shannan (MMS13)! Cycled the freeway path from Telephone Lane to Safety Bay Road with geodaughter in the trailer and confused the muggles, though there were a lot of offers to help us if we needed it. Last one of these for us this trip, thanks for the caches gum-nuts!

13-May-13
A nice day together with an RDO got me in the mood to dust off my trusty yellow mountain bike and head for the cycle path. I thought it would also be a good time to find a few caches in quick succession. TFTC

12-May-13
Happy Mothers Day to all the Mums , we certainly have a perfect day.

[:(!] After church we went for a caching run to do the next part of the Periodic Table Series and fitted in some extra ones along the way, and this was one of them, parked the geoGrand Vitara as close as possible to GC496ET (Mendelevium) and then rode me geobike, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes.

Found it. Out for a ride on such a glorious day. Only had to find a couple more for this riding series so we thought this was the day. Cheers gum-nuts.

03-Jun-12
Found with OOH YEH~ Thanks gum-nuts!
Probably best to use the footpath for this one, the Police don't seem to like geocachers stopping their cars on the side of the freeway Wink (really embarrassing!)

02-Jun-12
I decided walking the freeway was hard work so i drove to this one and parked on the side of the freeway. I grabbed the cache and signed and got back in my car and thought to myself this is alot easier!!! I was about to drive off to the next one and i saw blue flashing lights behind me, there was not one but two police cars stopping me wanting to know why i was parked there. After i explained what i was doing and tried to tell them what geocaching was i had to move on and now im back to walking the freeway again to get this finished!!!!

Oooooh, out for a day of caching on the deadly treadly with The Machman south of the river

Out on a very grand morning, with my buddy Tanzanite, caching exclusively by "pushy" today.

This bike hike was our second cycle trail of the day, having already completed the excellent Pioneers Trail already that morning.

This one is about an 18 km round trip, from a good parking location, a few hundred meters East of #1.
The cycle path is in excellent condition, is very flat and makes for an easy smooth ride.

The majority of the Caches were also straight forward, but still offered a good variety of containers and a very creative one thrown in !!!!

We had a great ride could of easily done another 10 !!!!

Thanks for all the Caches and the exercise.

Mr & Mrs Felix out on pushbikes for the day. (albeit electric ones)

Really enjoying the ride to here. Took a photo of soooo many hay bales here.

The cache has been wet and the log has been really wet, but luckily dried out now, may need looking at in the future. all good for now.

We enjoyed looking for caches in this series - there was variety and good exercise as we completed the hunt on foot. This particular cache was a quick find. However, the log was saturated and we were only able to make a slightly intelligible mark in the log. The log does need maintenance. TFTC gum-nuts

07-May-11
A quick find and off again on the bike. TFTH

Quick grab then back on the bike!

Oh goody, nearly half way through the series. If someone is following along behind us, can you please pick up my wind? I seem to have lost it between caches. This is getting hard. But the cache finding is getting easier I must say. I spotted this one realtively quickly and geoson made the garb, I signed and he returned. We are getting into some sort of rhythm here

Thanks for the cache gum-nuts

Cheers Cool

22-Apr-11
Had to wait for break in busy traffic as felt we would look suspicious if seen near GZ.

10-Apr-11
I have been meaning to clear these last in the series from my todo list for quite a while now, but for lots of reasons I have not had the time, today was different, I had some time this afternoon, and it was such a pleasant outlook on the weather, I parked near the Vet, jumped the fence to the cycle track, and commenced the wander to collect the final caches in this series/ Thanks gum-nuts for a great series, CoolBig Grin

Parked close to #6 and set off to complete the northern section of the series. Found this one very quickly in the obvious spot. Then headed further north for the next in the series, passing just one cyclist going south. ( I passed her again when she was heading back again and I was going back to the car again. And then I met her again! when searching for the dreaded #2 further north - she certainly must be wondering what I was up to!)
Thanks for the exercise and the hunt gum-nuts.

27-Jul-10
Watched cars whizzing by blissfully unaware of what I was up to...found signed log and quickly moved on..cheers gum-nuts

14-Jun-10
I was enjoying the walk so much that I forgot the look at the GPS so I ended up walking some 150m past the cache and had to come back.

*FTF* was about 3:15pm. I felt a bit exposed at this one and had to be careful of the MRD workers that were further south could not see me recover the cache.

Thanks for the cache and the enjoyable walk on this part of the freeway for the 7 caches that I found along the way. (and for all the first to finds you allowed me to get Twisted) From here I went inland to Baldvis Road to return to the car.
