Arrived here this morning with the gates locked and not being able to enter. Mr Parko decided to take a drive to the other side and we noticed an open gate. We entered and made our way over the train tracks and found the cache quickly. Looks like the place hasn't been used in a while. Thanks Team Robins
We think this cache needs to be looked at. The entire area is fenced off (with locked gates) and there are signs everywhere showing severe penalties for respassing on to railway land.
Found @ 1445 hrs
The wesso family had 3 wonderful days on the granite belt touring around the Stanthorpe & Tenterfield regions. Along the way we found a couple of caches and this was one of them
All aboard...................This was a nice quick find for us, the kind we like the area was very quiet with not a muggled in sight. We had the cache in hand in minutes of pulling up. We signed the log and returned it back into it's hidey hole.

I guess the surprise part is when a train stops here. We found this one in the usual place. TFTC.
Our GPS was very insistent as to where this cache should be hidden and, thankfully, it was right as a quick find was made. The cache and contents were in good condition. TFTC Team Robins.
Unknown how long the cache description will stay valid, given the new state government. Easy find at 0725hrs.

Third cache of the day , and first find of the day for Geowife (who ironically found Ballandean suprise months ago). A lovely little trainstation, with hints to life of a bygone steam era. TFTC
Quick grab on our morning caching walk. Eloise (geotoddler) loves looking for "treasure". TFTC...eatmorchikin & Stigglepot
In town for a few days....a combination of catching up with friends and some R&R. Caching is included in the R&R
A surprise indeed! I enjoy a cache with an historical slant and this was no exception.
Cache found dry and in good condition.
Thanks Team Robins

There were a couple of muggle workers maintaining this interesting railway station when we visited. Stealth mode got the cache. Thanks for the cache, Andrew, Maryan and baby Lucy
I love railway stations and this is one of the best examples. Great to see it so well maintained
What a wonderful station and the garden opposite is also really great. We stopped off to say hello to one of the rail workers who seemed pretty happy for a friendly chat to break the work routine. One of my favourite stops in Stanthorpe with even the old scales on the platform still in working order. TFTC Team Robins, one of your best.
A good area for a cache. Cricket mad found this one as it was more his height. Thanks for the cache.Team Robins. This area may have been busy when the trains were running.
A quick find by cricketmad. Not to sure if this area gets used anymore but it would be good if more goods could be transported by rail. tftc Team Robins
This was an easy find. Took us to another area of Stanthorpe that we would't have visited.
I was on foot this morning - walked along the platform and admired the station. I was a bit concerned as I approached as I could see a couple of coaches parked in the carpark - thinking they may have been rail-bus passengers or something, but false alarm I had the place to myself for a nice easy find.
Thanks Team Robins

Lovely piece of history. Really enjoyed looking at it.
Spotted it but left it to the Geokids to retrieve. 8.40am.
Cache in great condition. tftc

Travelling up north on a very wet day we were able to grab a few caches along the way.
A quick find as I made my way around stanthorpe.
Thanks

Diane was able to find cheap airfares to the gold coast on a weekend that all three members of Team Crackers could organise time off. After the booking was confirmed we realised it was the start of schoolies so we decided on a Southern Queensland / Northern New South Wales inland assault instead. We pulled up near this lovely old building and have to agree with the cache page in that it is being very well maintained especially the garden on the opposite side of the railway. It is obvious that a lot of work has gone into that. Thankfully there was no one around to day which made searching easy and the cache was found in the third place that we looked. The log was quickly signed and the cache returned.
Thanks once again Team Robins for showing us this historic building now we are off to have a long anticipated lunch at one of the nearby pubs.

Lots of caches in Stanthorpe and most of them seem to be yours Team Robbins! A quick find as advertised.

Found at 1930. Number sixty seven for the day Quick find. Time for a break and something to eat. Now it is dark. On my quest to complete the trail in 4 hours. Also to beat my best number of finds in a day of 37. I did achieve this by finding 70 between 0600 and 2300hours. Came prepared with my cache log removal tool in my pocket as I was expecting many nano size containers and I was not disappointed. Doing the trail and the other hides on this route as well. Short walk in the dark. TNLNSL TFTC Team Robins.
Found whilst enjoying a birthday caching weekend with The Marble, La Kedi and dizzyanne. Glad to get a bit of cover from the rain here. TFTC
Surprise! For the third time! Much less surprising now, I admit, but no less enjoyable. I'm happy to report a lack of visible spiders in the vicinity of this cache, which was found after a nice short search.
Cache # 55 of 61 today. TFTC, Team Robins! =^.^=

Just an empty bus here today making for an undisturbed search. Didn't take long. Thanks Team Robins.
Easy find by Ms Bushies2...loved the historical railway station. Thanks Team Robins for bringing us to the lovely railway station and cache.
Walked to this one from the main street and had to walk around a while as worker muggles left the area. One remained eating lunch in his car a fair distance away. He watched me so I had to go mega-stealth mode and look interested in photographing the nearby train bits. TFTC. It was a very interesting train station though.
Another railway station find. I love anything to do with railways and this one didn't disappoint. I spent quite a while here in the sun, looking at the old machinery now fenced in on the platform. Quiet Monday morning in the sun in a country town.
Found it in the company of Amelia and Co. while attending the event Christmas in July

A building had a very traditional and graceful feel to it. Luckily the only muggle around this morning didn't seem to take much notice of us. Fairly quick find. TFTC.
Found today with Axionman! Was great to see the experience of a fellow (newbie) cacher unfold throughout the day. Met a few other cachers throughout the day thanks to the Team Robins 'Christmas in July' event (unfortunately we weren't able to stay long enough to attend - maybe next year! Hope everyone is having a great time. Missed out on attempting a lot along the fruit run today as there were a lot of people around - will be back hopefully in the next few weeks to get the rest - TFTC
Found easily with MrL&L. I have to wonder whether to occupants of the 2 houses across the road ever wonder what is so special about this area!! TFTC
It was quite dark when we attempted this one. Goldielover didn't like the spiderwebs that were around but I didn't care and I grabbed the cache container. TFTC
It was quite dark when we attempted this one. There were lots of spider webs around so I wasn't too keen to put my hands in there. However Stairman1 braved them and the container was soon in his hand. TFTC
last cahe before we stop for a lunch break .....beer battered fries and aglio sauce at cosmos...mmmmmmmmm

What a lovely old building. And looked after so well. There are so many of these lovely historic places in the district. We've had a great few days discovering many of them, mostly because there are caches at or near them. Thanks for placing the cache here Team Robins. Enjoyed the find.

When we pulled up at this one we noticed some railway workers at the nearby shed. As we were looking they moved to the station to do some work and have lunch break. Managed to locate cache by use of the camera and an interest in historic railway buildings.

Parked our caravan in the railway yards while we went to the local supermarket. On our return we realised that there was a cache nearby and set out to find it. As the description states it is a relatively easy find but still part of the adventure of caching. Took nothing, left nothing. TFTC.
It is a shame it was so dark here at 10 pm on the eve of the new year, because this looks quite nice here.
We got the torches out and found a very neat and tidy cache of a good size.
I left a little eraser and signed the log with gazamataz.

Not sure on the surprise, went onto platform and had a go at weighing, well some of us did.....hey Straddie. TFTC
Enjoyed visiting this old station. Its sad that trains are no longer a viable form of transport. There is something fascinating about them that we have lost. And for your info Dannza the weighing device on the platform was for baggage not humans! T: 2 TB's to move on. TFTC
It took me two visits to locate this one, as on the first visit, there were workmen everywhere. All quiet on the second visit, so had the opportunity to poke around in order to locate the cache. With cache in hand, swapped trackables and SL. After a quick scan around, cache was safely home again. TFTH. Great location.
Beauty Stanthorpe Station - would like to come back and wander around this area. Left 2 x TBs. SL. Thanks Team Robins.
I’ve really enjoyed the railway related caches as I travelled from Tenterfield to The Summit today. This one was no exception. A lovely little station, deserted today. So I could have a good look around the station, and for the cache. Took me a little while to locate the cache today. I had a serious case of cache blindness, but persistence paid off and I found it OK. I put a little fortune telling fish into the cache, and signed the log. Thanks for showing me the area, Team Robins!
