Decided we would check this one while out this way. The cache was wet and after some thought we decided to removed it.
This was a bit of a diversion off the main highway but worth it as the day was perfect and this truck stop was empty bar our car this morning.
A nice quick one before rejoining the rat race home today
Thanks Coruze

A bit of a detour on the old highway on my way home from an overnight stopover in Albury. I had a great breakfast in town and then headed home. You can see on the topo map how the alignment around the hill was taken in the old days. These days it just ploughs right THROUGH the hill with a huge cutting that I noticed on the way south. Cache was wet inside. I think the plastic bag is only just keeping it away from the log, but it is also the cause of the container not sealing properly. Anyway I tried my hardest to keep it from interfering with the seal.
Thanks Coruze.
Thanks Coruze.
Found it No. 4908 ... good co ords ... container wet inside we tried to dry it out ... TNLN ... TFTC Coruze
I can see this is going to be a much slower trip home, than the one down. Thanks to winglen who got to this one just before us. thanks Coruze.
Not a muggle in sight. Quick easy find on way back to Sydney from oz mega in albury. TFTC
Another meeting with Nimma who turned up as we were signing the log, so another quick chat. Thanks Coruze.
My map had the cache still on the main highway!! So we missed the first turnof and had to drive back from the second! Worth the detour anyway, a shame all the nice little towns are dying because they are bypassed by the new highway now.

Found this one as part of our trip to the 2012 Oz Mega in Albury. Had the place to ourself's so it was a straight forward find. TFTC.

#443 it has been a little time since I have been at the computer to do some logging now it is well and truly time to catch up on the geocache logging and leave the waymarks alone for a little while although it has been fun adding a number of waymarks. Just to keep you all up to date I am on day 143 of continuous caching and have 11 days of caching to log before I am up to date.
This was an easy find and a great addition to the collection however now with the highway bypass in place it was not to difficult to approach from either side as the traffic is sparse to say the least. The find was rewarded by the location and the tranquillity it now provides due to the amount of traffic that no longer travels along this stretch of road.
Thanks Coruze for a great location.

Not a soul in site, had the place to myself as the new Hume had been opened.

On a warm day en route to Tassie I stopped off to do this one and stretch the legs.
As I was about to leave I was approached by someone who asked if I had found it.
It happened to be mvyrmnd, who was about to go and find the cache.
We talked for a little and then I continued on my way.

Pulled up at GZ to see someone getting back into their car. I was prepared to wait for them to drive off, but spotted a TB sticker on the back window chatted to Eye of Horus for a minute then left him to his journey and went and found the cache. TFTC and it's always nice to meet another cacher
Found on our way home from Tathra to Wodonga.A quick find while we stopped for a leg stretch TFTC
Probably should have saved this for the return journey as crossing to the wrong side on the top of the hill is a bit dodgy, both when stopping and leaving. Still we made it and apart from getting a little wet in the grass we soon had it all done.
Thanks again Coruze

As Chewin' said we dashed across the other side, as we were travelling north at the time.
Even though the GPSr said a bit further, we looked under the table as that would be a dry spot to hide. We should have read the logs first.
A quick find a little further on.
Thanks, Robmc.

Stoped with _Kurto for a break on the trip to Melbourne.
I turned over a rock during the initial hunt and disturbed a little brown snake who slinked off to do whatever it is that little brown snakes do. You can imagine that I was a little more cautious when I turned other things over in my search.
The cache did have water in the bottom (as reported in other logs) although the log sheet was dry. I replaced the cache edge up in the hope that whatever leaks in will run out just as easily.
A warning for the geo-kiddies: Apart from the snakes, there are also a few "white camping moths" in the bushes attesting the the fact that the absence of a toilet at the rest area doesn't stop some people from making do. Be careful where you step!

A quick leg stretch and retrieval. Container was full of water and the log damp but just usable. TFTC
Well, where does one put a cache at a roadside stop? Right in view of the seating shelter, that's where! Fortunately they moved on and before someone else could move in I grabbed the cache, thanks.
It was quiet when I arrived at the road side stop and the cache was quickly find. Log was a little damp, but still ok to write on.
Thanks for the reason to stop Coruze.

Quick find on the drive back to Vic from Canberra.
Thanks Coruze, this one's a bit further from home for you guys than I'm used to, but a good excuse to break the drive.
No swaps, wasn't woomy enough........

We found this one heading down the highway. We didnt realising it was offline, till now. The log was damp, but I guess you know that.

Found with FarmerFrentzen, steeba and The Rats on our Victoria Invasion trip. Like the others have said, for some reason this missed updating in GSAK to being unavailable. We found it, it's wet but hey, you already know that...

Found about 4.30pm. Quiet little rest spot. Had no problems but found the inside of the container wet. TFTC.
Had to wait for a couple of muggles with a horse float to leave and then made a quick find. Cache was wet. Found with TwoDrews. TFTC.
Was all set to find this one with the kids in the dark - something to break up a long drive! Alas, there was a truckie sitting in his rig about 30m from GZ. It would have looked rather strange for a dad + 2 small kids to jump out of the car and go wandering around the bush randomly at night!
Hopefully nobody will be there on the way back home.

Found on the return trip to Adelaide from Sydney. It's intersting that the last 3 logs on this cache over 30 days are all from Adelaide teams. I guess we're getting out and about.
Cache had much water inside, but the logsheet was ok inside the bag. TFTC.

On the way to Melbourne by car due to flight cancelation. So had to do at least one cache
There was no trouble here as the truck parked here was a little further up. Was surprised not to find any trouble here. A quick find and change of drivers.

6th of 25 on our Canberra to Geelong return journey. It was a very easy find. Nice area and nobody around. TNLN. Thanks.
5 of 6 on a day caching with the Twins James and Jemma and my older girl, Jacqueline. Drove past another cache to come to this one first. This would be the farthest we would venture up the highway today. Hide took a while to locate with some good camo on fading evening light. TFTC.
I decided to go for a long drive - from Canberra to Lake Eyre. I did this over the Easter long weekend. What a better way to break up the drive then to do a few caches. But I hve to be careful as it could easily distract me too much and I'll never get there! TFTC.
THis was also my 300th find

4092. [font=Book Antiqua][green]It was rainy and dark as I pulled into the rest spot. I left FFP and Megs in the car as I went to search and the quick find. It was only on returning to the car that I realised that I had left my lights on and I was parked right behind a resting truck or rather a truck with a resting driver.

This was a good spot for a quick late lunch on the way south, with the added advantage of a nice simple cache to find as well. Thanks.
This one could be harder if there were trucks or cars about, was lucky today to find the rest area empty and quickly located the cache. TNLN thanks.
This is the 840th find for WazzaAndWenches
The last day of our holiday and we're driving back to Echuca from Canberra. It's 41deg outside the car and not a lot cooler inside The Wenches let me stop for a few cache finds but didn't let me stop for all of them...
A quick drive-by although I had to act all nonchalant for the driver parked at the other end of the carpark.
Took the TB to visit Victoria.
Thanks Coruze.

Found with Aussiepuschaks and Unicornnikita on a Christmas Eve drive through the country. A kookaburra laughed at us as we searched for the cache. TFTC
Twas the night before Christmas and all through the land, cachers were searching, gps in hand.
They were walking and cycling, climbing and seeking, for a first a first to find, swaps or another stat they were needing.
As they go to each cache bounty they find, or maybe just a small log book inside.
Found with unicornnikita and little blue elephant. Merry Christmas and TFTC
