We woke today to quite cool and foggy morning so we decided to wait around for things to warm up a bit.It was then we received a phone call from a family member traveling south that they were heading through Stanthorpe and would we like to catch up for a coffee. We never pass up the opportunity to catch up with family so it was on! They suggested we meet at a place in Thulimah, and we duly did. This set the agenda for the day. We decided afterwards to head further north up to Dalveen before working our way back home along the Fruit Run. It was only about halfway through the series we realized that there were fruit stalls all along the route, some open but many obviously no longer operational. We guess a new highway finished many of them!We collected a few other caches along the way as well.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Team Robins.**SKI Pair****
12632 Located the container this morning at 1140. A pleasant drive along some of the back roads of The Granit Belt Found in good condition. SL Tnx Team Robins.
Headed down to Granite Belt, to do my weekly shop at Sams at Cottonvale, so of course had to do a bit of caching to fill in some finds on the map.
Another easy find. Cache is in good condition, thanks Team Robins

Does anyone want to buy a maze??
With all the trees, the GPS wasn’t particularly helpful but we found it!

We are on our way back home. We went to QOGM 2022 in Charleville first, then decided to go on a camping trip in NSW for a change and visited also Canberra.
Now we stay a couple of days in Stanthorpe.

The Long Man describes what is possibly a collection of three burial mounds, the middle one oblong and the ones to the sides round, quite frankly, in a suggestive arrangement that Nanny Ogg approves of.
If geography could talk, this bit of it would be boasting: the whole landscape saying "I've got a great big tonker". The Long Man is somewhere in the kingdom of Lancre, and leads (via a cavern where a hero and his knights lie asleep, waiting for the call) to the Lancre Caves and the baking-hot portion of Fairyland, world of the Elves.

After waiting for a motorcyclist to enter a nearby property, we headed into the bush and made a quick find. Thanks for the cache
Another find on Peppa and PirateLinda's Brisbane to Stanthorpe Jaunt.
No time to attempt the maze today unfortunately ??

PirateLinda and I have journeyed to Stanthorpe to attend the Catch-up in Stanthorpe event… With nothing more pressing, we’re making a long weekend of it…
The giant thermometer in Stanthorpe announced it was 11.0 degrees today… which meant at some stages I had three layers of clothing on, including a down jacket…
There’s so much caching to be done, we don’t have time for the Maze… another trip then…

This cache reminds me of somewhere on my bucket list. Located in Victoria, the unique soft textures of Australia’s Ashcombe Maze are provided by more than 1000 Monterey cypress trees, maintained with careful trimming several times a year. Visitors must traverse two halves, each with a separate layout, and there are no straight lines anywhere in the maze. The grounds also boast a lavender labyrinth constructed out of more than 4000 lavender plants—which sounds like one of the most relaxing places in the world to get lost. TFTC
Out geocaching today with Magpie Cottage and Wandering Me. Another great find. Thanks for hiding this cache for our enjoyment Team Robins

Recently deciding to tackle the Apple art, a group of us got our heads together to solve all of the puzzles then visit the area to collect the wonderful caches between Warwick and Stanthorpe.
Our group of CHAMAD, NayFee, Triple Turmoil and myself had a fantastic weekend finding heaps of caches, we signed the logs Team TWOCAN.
Thank you to all of the COs who have spent time placing and maintaining these caches for us to enjoy, sincerely appreciated.
Thanks Team Robins for bringing us here.

Found while on a weekend mission with Chamad, Willis007 and Nayfee. Signed as Team Twocan. We came to get the Stanthorpe Apple, but couldn't drive past any of the others. We were there to flood our maps with smilies.
I have just had the best weekend caching around the Warwick, Summit and Stanthorpe areas. With caching buddies (geonayfee, Willis007 and Triple Turmoil) for the weekend we got in a very large number of caches, completing the apple geoart, the fruit run and a few other special caches along the way. I had a fantastic weekend with lots of laughs and funny events it just made for a fun time; the puzzle solving in the lead up to the weekend was great also.
A big thanks to all the CO’s of the caches along the way; for placing and maintaining the caches for us to enjoy. Visiting this area and seeing places I would never see in a normal trip here was enlightening, so again thanks.
In the weekend I got around 180 caches so firstly apologies for the generic part to the log, I do not remember all specifically but some did stand out so I will add a little to those in my posts.
Day two and it was an early start, there is so much still to get in the area. A fun and eventful day in many ways, lol.
As we started to work our way back home it was a matter of zigzagging and back tracking the caches to Warwick.

Day two on our epic journey around Stanthorpe and surrounds with Chamad, TripleTurmoil and Willis007.
After some much needed rest we woke up bright and early (Thanks Chamad for the farmyard sounds) and set off for another full day of caching around Stanthorpe to clear up the rest of the Stanthorpe Apple and a few other caches in between, then we slowly made our way back north towards Warwick while grabbing a bunch of caches we didn't get yesterday.
Same as yesterday we had a wonderful time exploring the area. I really enjoy visiting this part of the world, it's a great feeling to get out of the city and enjoy the country life.
Thank you to each and every CO for placing caches at these locations. We had a great time.

Day 2 of our holiday in Stanthorpe. On our way to the maze we stopped for a few caches. TFTC!
We are absolutely loving the fact that some caches in the area point out some tourist traps that we would have otherwise missed. We didn’t visit them all but it’s good to put a face to the billboards we see on the highway. I can’t wait until I visit that Dan Murphys theme park. tftc
Early morning cache in the fantastic Stanthorpe. Love winter in this part of the world.
I didn't 'get' the title to start with...and I had my weeties too but I did help find the cache, so my senior moment was forgiven.
I'd like to visit that attraction some day. I read on the sign that there were no drones allowed...wouldnt a satellite view help...must check it out. Mmm, it does give you a view but there could still be tricky.
Back to the cache after signing log and replacing as found we were off to the next one.
We are a little late in logging. It was actually found 17th March at about 10.00am.
Thanks for the cache Team Robins.

Kestal and I headed south from Toowoomba on a numbers grab for her next milestone...a total of 57 required...it was a case of see how we go as to whether the numbers would add up today to accomplish her own personal challenge or another trip would be required. There were quite a few on her list that I had already found but I was happy to play chauffeur so she could accomplish her goal. By 11am we were surprised how well we were doing and decided to go for the "big one". A fun day was had and my thanks goes to you for the part you played...apologies for the generic log. TFTC Team Robins.
Eskies5 and I planned a trip to Stanthorpe and surrounding areas to nudge me a little closer to a milestone. With the nudge now being a push this was the thirty-fifth stop of what would be 58 finds for the day for me. Found this cache at 10:31am with not a problem. All signed and returned. TFTC
Last day in Stanthorpe and what better way to spend it than finding the odd cache or three, most were easy finds though a couple had us hunting for a few minutes

It was a good caching day today and we picked up some more smiley faces for our map, along with ilook4geo. We found more caches in a few different series and only had one DNF to spoil the day. Each of the caches had the log signed, usually as GP2 and ilg. Each container was then put back into place as it had been found. Our thanks go to Team Robins for placing this cache and adding to the fun of the game.
Caching along mostly very quiet country roads today with goingplaces2 gave a really good result for the day. Logs were signed, caches were put back and we were soon headed off to the next find. Thanks for this cache.
Simply amazing, didn't go into the maze today as was getting on in the afternoon and was threatening to rain, so will put this in the next time box. Cache all good

This has been sitting in my drafts for ages forgotten. Out with geopartner for a rare day of caching. My apologies if this appears in multiple caches but I have been really slack and accumulated a heap of drafts and not done anything about them.
Found with The X-Trailers as we travelled the side roads this morning. Misty rain falling so a quick find and sign. TFTC
An enjoyable morning drinking in the country counting Roos and rabbits and collecting traditionals for a challenge we have our eyes on at the moment brought us to this little cache, thanks for all the work in placing and maintaining these caches
TFTC! As soon as I walked in off the road, I thought, that’s where it is, but no the compass led me in another direction. Them thought, it’s not here. Compass led me back towards where I thought, so gave up with phone and went with gut instinct and got it right. Never been to the maze. Would like to one day
Sometimes it's just about the numbers and this run was for that and if course the planetary souvenirs. I truly admire those that have done 100 or more, we were exhausted after just over 50 but that gets us half way there. We still enjoyed the driving and looking on the back roads and thank you for your effort in putting them there for us to do this run. TFTC
If we’d come this way with the nieces and nephews, I know we would had to have stopped and gone inside to spend an hour or so here. A favourite for every kid no doubt.
No kids today, so we signed the log and continued on our way.
Thanks

TFTC... 30/9/17. On the hunt in unfamiliar territory with Tough Mothers. Lots of smileys on offer, this is one of them.
Away for the weekend with tough mother's to clear up the area. Its been awesome thanks for all the caches.
Hunting new caches around Stanthorpe today.
The overcast weather is changing for the worse again.
Geo-Mamma is really getting the hang of lurking about in the bushes.
Another quick find.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

I set out bright and early this morning for a day of caching, but not before I'd kidnapped a geo-guru on my way through Toowoomba, to be my chauffeur, and to find a few he had yet to get further south. It was a big day and a good day. Found this one and signed the log, thanks for the cache!
I stopped here with Clan-mess after visiting and having a lot of fun at the Granite Belt Maze.

New England Roadtrip day 1: Brisbane to Armidale via Warwick, Stanthorpe, Tenterfield and Glen Innes. The ultimate aim of this quick jaunt is to find the last remaining DT required to complete the 3rd loop of our DT grid, the closest of which happens to be 500km away in Armidale !
Too early on the morning to visit the maze, might bring the kids another time. Quick find here. Thanks **Team Robins** for bringing us here, this find makes #3743. Discover our trackable TGQNRV.

Again, another quick find as a consequence of accurate coordinates and the hint. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Team Robins for the cache.
The first time we came to Stanthorpe we remember bringing our kids here and taking them through the maze, this time round it is just a maze of caches.
Not really sure where she's planning on taking this but it's amusing her anyway...

Had a weekend in Stanthorpe so had to grab a few while we were there. (When the kids would let us)
Thankfully they let us do this as we had some fun at the maze beforehand. Quick find. TFTC

New to SE QLD we decided first up for exploration was the Granite Belt Maze & nearby caches. Unfortunately we had no reception here so used geo instincts to locate the cache, which was all in order. Tnsl tftc TR xo
This is our third Day in Stanthorpe and after finally finishing the A.S. series we decided to do the fruit run. We found all of them and some other caches along the way. Most of them were quick finds and most in good order. Thanks Team Robins for laying these caches, we have had an enjoyable day.
Yep, found this one on a quick trip around the area whilst visiting some caching friends who are locals. Had to wait for a muggle dog walker to go a little distance before retrieving the cache. Thanks Team Robins.
