Two sets of eyes and plenty of checking and re-checking, poking and prodding. No Luck. Cache may be missing
We hunted a long time for this one and ended up messaging a friend of Ruru_nz's.
It was still a fun find.

A prime opportunity came up tonight. Abbykit had to go to Otatara this evening, so as these were on my to do list. And they'd recently been maintained... why not!!!
So armed with torches and a most handsome guide, i found the ones i looked for... nobody else were walking the tracks tonight.
Not a breath of wind or drop of rain tonight !!!

Found with the dog. Am loving all the birds here. All caches in great condition. Bizarrely I met today one of the granddaughters of Mr Fosbender who donated this land to the council many years ago. Thanks for bringing me here.
Found the only hollow tree in the area and sadly no cache was to be found. Oh well. Enjoyed the walk in this bush anyway, so pretty!
Came to the location. Looked all around and in the hollow tree and did not find anything
In Invercargill for a ten pin bowling tournament, had Saturday morning to fine some caches around Oreti Beach and Otatara before my next game. I enjoyed the walk in this reserve. Log book was too wet to sign, see photo. Thanks KiwiGeoswami for the cache.
It was open and wet. Maybe dogs got at it. Rehiden in stump where dogs should not be able to get to. Hint still works.
I'm from germany and hitchhiking around new zealand and this is one of my last stop overs before flying back from Christchurch. Thanks for leading me through this forest with those caches!
Visiting Invercargill for the holidays so decided to have a look around. Only had my phone today and the accuracy was +/- 50m... That made finding the cache in the area rather difficult, but I eventually got them all! TFTC.
I arrived in Invercargill this morning for a few days work here. This is the first time I've been this far South in 50 years - and I was just a toddler on my previous visit... I had a couple of hours to spare before getting down to work today so went off to find a few caches. And now for a wander around this cool reserve. The cache was a little exposed and visible on approach. I tried to cover it a little better. TFTC, Biggles.
Day 4 of our south of south Nz caching blitz, found our way to scenic reserve, what an oasis, feels like you're miles away from town, loved the stroll. This was the last of our walk, which we thoroughly enjoyed thanks for the series. Worth a favourite. Tftc
Down in Invercargill with the Manawatu U15 Championship boys hockey team for the tournament this week, and plenty of caching. Continuing around the loop and enjoying another loop walk through the bush, which is something that Invercargill and the surrounding area seem to have plenty of. No problems with the find here and all in good order. Thanks KiwiGeoswami.
#4543. I have been down south on a work trip but not getting much opportunity to go geocaching. Decided to take a day of leave and rent a car so I could explore some of the caches hidden on the outskirts of Invercargill. Nice warm sunny day as well which makes for a nice caching experience. Parked nearby and headed off to do this circular track. This proved to be one of the highlights of the day. What a superb forest remnant with was spectacular podocarp forest present (totara, matai, kahikatea, rimu and miro). Saw 2 red-crowned parakeets and also a few brown creepers as well as tui, bellbirds and kereru. Really enjoyed the bush walk. The cache was quickly found thanks to the helpful hint. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Almost got muggled by a dog walker! Thanks for hiding the cache here KiwiGeoswami.
Quick finder after a day at work grabed on my way past from horse riding tftc
Found all safe and secure I don't know how I managed to miss these ones last time I was here but here I am back again to claim the smiley tftc
Quick find. Again some people walking on the path but this time I tried to be more careful and was just looking for birds for a while.
#4 on our walk around the reserve. Talking about the kereru seen before the previous cache, the fantails the path and the lack of tall trees in the middle the reserve that we walked right past. But only for a few meters as the Caching part of the brain noticed the hint object and made me look at the distance to the car - single figures.[^]
Quickly found, signed and on to the next.
Thanks for the smilie

Easy cache to find, it wasn't hidden. The logs are a wee bit messy and found a logbook I could SL, re-wrapped the logbooks again and found something to cover the big box better. tftc
Day # 3 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip covering Thailand, Australia and finally my beloved NZ .
I had so much looked forward to return to this beautiful country, and now I'm here again - awesome!
The weather was really challenging today [B)]. Had to cancel the planned trip to Stewart Island and instead explored Invercargill in the wind and the rain . Good thing about 'plan B': This opened up the chance to cover more cache-types of Southland [^] ...
At the end of the chilly and extremely windy, rainy day I not only had survived , but happily collected 18 Caches of 5 different cache-types - cool!
I liked the walk through Otatara-Reserve a lot! [^] Very peaceful and lots of birds [^] .
This series was very nice and I enjoyed it !
Hey - Invercargill, you have awesome caches [^] [:X]!
So thanks to all the Owners involved [:X] [:X] for hiding and maintaining. [^]
Cheers from Germany

During our Sabbatical trip we made our way down to Invercargill as well. I found this one beside a nice little walk today the 15.01.2017 and achieved one more nice experience...
Many thanks KiwiGeoswami, moin moin, and best regards sends Dr. Dose...

Its day 14 of our journey with another week to get home. With Rakiura Walkway, my objective bagged, its around Invercargill today. Heading back towards Bluff first.
Loving walking round this native reserve. Found this one exposed so snuggled it back in place, after tagging it. Cheers

Went on a big adventure with Wafflekitties and geo pups, had a blast thanks for the memories! TFTC.
Found while on a winter holiday with LCBuilder and our two geodogs. We spent 3 weeks travelling down the east coast and then up the west coast, setting our tent up at a different campsite each night. We didn't have any real plan, just went where the caches took us we saw a lot of awesome sights and will definitely have to come back one day as 3 weeks isn't really that long!
Done the walk at night! TFTC

Our GPS had us about 10m further along the track but a read of the hint soon had us back in the right place. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
We walked past this one and had to back track, thanks to the hint. Found with debsnz
We decided it was time to go for a drive and a walk and another drive, and how awesome to have a great destination with a few great caches! TFTC!!
Was pushed fairly deep. Strained a muscle to reach it. Void re-packed.
Seems an Easter egg hunt was in play at week's end. Some shenanigans at play. Found muggled remnant from stumped cache.
Found sans coverage. Made less visible.

Before going to Invercargill we did this beautiful circular walk. We easily found 4 out of 5 caches, but failed at the last one. Thanks for hiding and showing us this wonderful reserve.
I love the many parks and bush areas you have here in Southland. Tonight I visited a few, enjoyed the bush walks and grabbed more caches. Another cluster of caches I have been planning to get...tonight was the night. Had a few challenges with the GPS coordinates being a little out for all caches...maybe due to the tree cover. The clue led me to the cache. TFTC
The find was straightforward as per the hint but we had to stand back and allow a couple of dog walkers and a couple of joggers to pass before replacing. Added some swag. TFTC
