A day of power caching to grab a few souvenirs. Sadly this one was a DNF.
Found on a one month road trip around Australia. Sorry for the generic log. TNLNSL TFTC
Quick drive through, thought it would be a tight turn for us and our camper to rejoin our trail caches but not too bad. TFTC
Staying in TB for the weekend and bad reception is everywhere! Luckily this was easy to find
Heading to Adelaide to see the crows in the finals against nth Melbourne let's hope we get the win , stopped for a quick find on the way tftc
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Heading back to town after working nearby and having also visited this site in previous employment I just had to do this cache.
Approached in the car and parked close by and wandered to GZ and made a quick find, signed log and replaced.
Didn't get a bad reception with this one.

Ismartis and I decided on a day caching some of the Wandering Heroes and a few extras in her quest to reach 3000 finds and to put down a new cache for another Wandering Hero. [^]
We started off from Tailem Bend and headed to Karoonda and beyond and had a great day managing 77 finds for me and 4 DNF's.
Some of the caches were badly in need of repair and some were very well put together but all in all it was a fun day with most of the caches easy to find.
Thanks for the cache team mono.

Came out to this cache dense neck of the woods with JJ52 today to get a few numbers to get me closer to my 3000th cache and place a new Wandering Heroes cache as well .
The weather was great for caching, cool with no rain, and we had a really good run on the Wandering Heroes with me getting 75 finds for the day & 4 DNF's and JJ52 picking up a couple of extras .
Then once darkness hit we headed in and enjoyed a really good meal at the Tailem Bend Riverside Hotel . What a nice way to finish off a great day and refresh ourselves for the trip home.

A weekend at Murray Bridge saw us caching a few trails in the area, it was a laugh as our 14 and 15 year olds hip and shouldered each other, pushed and shoved, put the child lock on the car.....they did everything to make sure they beat the other to the cache. It made for a slow caching day but was so funny to watch.
Thankyou for the cache, and sorry for the generic log.

Set off really early to do the Geo Pet run and then get some of these Wandering heroes done from this end and any others along the way. Big long family day out TFTC
We'd prefer a friendly reception over a bad one any day. Cache was found very quickly as we'd correctly guessed it's location from the car as we pulled up.
Thanks team mono.
Thanks team mono.
After a few months of planning, and trial runs I finally attempted and complete my goal of doing a 24 hour SOLO cache run!!!
One Man, One Day, 441 caches found!
I booked two nights at Murray bridge and arrived at 8:00 pm. Attempted without success to sleep until 11:30 pm then got up and went to the location of the first cache. As the clock turned to midnight I began.
Speed through the Oz Mega 2014 Trail with only a handful of DNFs, then picked a few up along the highway until I got to the GeoPets trail.
After this I cut through to Wandering Heroes and completed up to the "OTS: May" trail. Went along this and came back into Tailem Bend for lunch and fuel and few in town. Was beginning to get weary but proceeded back to where I left off in the Wandering Heroes.
From here on in I just completed as many of these as I could up through Karoonda in the hot hot mid 30's day until midnight stuck a few kms east of town.
441 finds was the total count and now I just had to drive back to Murray Bridge. Easier said then done after being awake for practically 40 hours. Hit the hotel pillow at 1:20 am and was out within seconds.
Thanks for all the wonderful caches around this area, and sorry for generic logs.

On a quick two to three day get away by myself. Heading over to Tailem Bend and Murray Bridge to pick up a few smiley face along the way collecting mostly Earthcaches, Letterbox Hybrids, Wherigos and 'Finds by hidden month' I need to fill - Plus any others that are nearby any of the rarer types I'm after in boosting my numbers a little.
Day 1:After leaving on Home on Sunday I was fortunate to have excellent weather on my side and a great run also traffic wise, which was great as it enabled me to get quite a lot of KM's done and caches done too while on my way to Tailem Bend for the night and get an early start on the trail in Murray Bridge.
Day 2: After spending the night in Tailem Bend I made an early start at first light to cram as many caches in today as I can. After completing the Geopets series in Tailem Bend I headed over to Murray Bridge to grab a coffee and then do and complete the OZmega series and a few in between before returning back to Tailem Bend for the night.
Was an epic day with 218 caches found and logged!
Day 3: Made this my last day in SA before calling it "time-out" and head back across the border to VIC.
Did a few more this morning including making a start on the Wandering Heroes series before 10:30 before calling it quits.
A quick find here
Thanks Team mono for the cache.

We had just got fuel, Subway for lunch to take on our journey to Pinnaroo & said goodbye to Geodad as he is heading back to Adelaide for work. We came to Tailem Bend last night where Geodad met us for the night. We do miss him terribly. Quick find. Now its time to start the big long stretch of cachers coming up. TFTC
We called in here to do this cache on the way back from a day caching along the Wandering Heroes series. An easy to locate cache and we soon had it logged, then back into town for a shower.
Thanks team mono for this placement.

Headed out today (child free) to try and start the wandering heros trail!
Thought we would stop at this one first as it was just there and begging for a find!

Camped at Narrung Ferry, today we headed up to Wellington and Tailem Bend meeting up with Sylken to cache together.
What a great day exploring, the weather forecast had us dreading the day, but not a drop descended upon us. We did somehow end up with a 2hour lunch stop at the local in Tailem Bend
Some interesting locations and history discovered today through Geocaching in company of great friends who we only met through Geocaching. [^]

We are currently staying in Murray Bridge and our WA geofrends FelixII are staying in Narrung so a plan was hatched to spend the day with them caching around Jervois, Wellington and Tailem Bend.
We decided to meet near the ferry at Jervois, cache around the area then head to Wellington and find some caches there, then take the ferry and cache up to Tailem Bend. We enjoyed a delicious pub lunch overlooking the river and spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning up a few finds in Tailem Bend.
We ended up with thirty finds for the day after finding a few extras on the way home to Murray Bridge and 2 DNF's. As always we had a great day with our friends, the weather was very kind to us and the showers held off and we added some more smileys to our tally.
Many thanks for the hide team mono[^]

One of my challenges I set myself for my trip to the SA MEGA was to see how many caches I could find in 24 hours.
Today was the day. I parked the car the night before out at the furtherest point of the caches of the OZ MEGA 2014 and slept the night there with the alarm set for just before midnight.
My aim was to complete the OZ MEGA 2014 caches then start along the Wandering Heros series and see how far I got.
At midnight I started. With no one else on the roads I moved quickly along each of the roads looking for those little 'suspicious piles of stones'. By 6 am I had just the arrow head to go. I stopped the car and changed clothes as I was getting hot in the thermals. ... and the car would not start. 2 hours later the RAA turned up and said I had a flat battery. [?] [?] [?]
Found the remaining caches (except the couple that are now missing) and headed south for the Wandering Heros series finding the odd one along the road.[^]
The Wandering Hero series are different containers at different distances from the road so they were a little trickier to find at times and my find rate slowed down a little. Slowly the day continued and my count continued to grow, passing 200 and 300. Just after 7:30pm I passed 400 caches and I eventually stopped at 8pm exhausted just before Mindarie.
20 hours and just over 400 caches.
Apologies for the cut and paste logs.

It was time for specimenX and myself to head back to Murray Bridge to do the Signal PT and some of the Wandering Hero's. It was a 2 hour drive there and we arrived and went straight into the Signal series. We were suprised at how they were scattered and doubted a few of our answers but it seems we had them all right and we found the whole lot. We then headed off for some lunch and collected a couple of Oz Mega 2014 caches that had gone astray on our last visit.
Murray Bridge was almost a ghost town compared to the Easter weekend. We were still looking for the Kookie magnets (habbit now lol) and we were kinda missing all the geomobiles with their flags flying high. Seems Murray Bridge was back to BAU and we were once again engaging stealth mode for our activities.
Once we had eaten, we decided to try our luck and do as many Wandering Hero's as our bodies would allow. specimenX was like a bull at a gate, just kept going and going and going. We evetually called it quits at a daily total of 204 finds (our highest yet) and started the 2 hour drive home at 1am in the morning. By the time we got home, we were well and truely exhausted, showered then crashed immediately.
In the Wandering Hero's, we managed to get from the Tailum Bend turnoff all the way to Karoonda Road/Kulde Road intersection. We then headed up Karoonda Road towards Bowhill Road (heading towards Murray Bridge) to collect The Lost Wanderers.
There are still SOOOOO many Wandering Hero's we need to collect so it looks like another SA trip will be in the planning
Thanks to all the CO's who have placed caches for us to collect and also bigh shout out to those who maintain these caches. Very enjoyable exhausting day.

One of the many caches we found after attending our 1st OZ Mega with whitewebbs. Thanks to all who placed caches for our enjoyment.
A quick, easy find right where Mr Ozjeeper assumed it would be hidden as we approached.
Here in the area for the Oz Mega from Wodonga, spending the day with Bushfire. Our goal today was to grab 150 caches along the Wandering Heros Trail. It is wonderful to see these people who have been recognised along the way. We had a great day in the area making the finds. There was some great hides and our thanks to all the hiders for the effort in hiding and maintaining the various caches. Thanks.team mono.

No bad reception for Kaisho53 and I this morning. With a clear sky above and plenty of satellites locked in, we zeroed in on this cache nice and quickly and secured the find. Names etched in the log, we had some heroes to meet so shuffled along to make a start... [^]
