Find #1: steep climb from below. Find #2: cool tunnel under Outlet with cooler (I guess) graffitti. Find #3: lots of traffic staring right at me giving out wave after wave of of DNF-itis vibes. Find #4: two old discarded (framed!) photos, plus doggy poo bag - yuk!. Not found: cache. Bummer!
Having driven passed this one so many times today since I was in the area I hunted down how to get to this hidden laneway.
I was thinking the path maybe busy at this time of the morning but I didn't see a soul and so it was a short search and the cache was soon in hand, signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache.

Found it. Still pretty new to this so it took us a while. Great container, has given us some new ideas for caching.
Closest geocache to our geohome. Took our muggle friends to intro them to geocaching
We had trouble finding GZ. The geocaching driving directions had us up on the highway! We finally checked a street map and found our way there. I had no idea this pedestrian underpass existed. Good views from both sides, would have liked to stayed longer to enjoy them but there was too much traffic noise.
Great cache container - brought back memories of my grandfather. When we returned home I checked the internet to see how many other images of it I could find and there are a lot. Thank you for this cache.

Neat cache. Been meaning to do this for a while but never knew there was a subway here! Beware of the dog. TFTC. Log full ish
Thankd for the log cabin I found this one good hide nice cache easy find with clues TFTC TNLN
The Bear joined his good mate The Goose for a lunchtime caching session. This was our first stop and after a few minutes, The Goose had the Log Cabin in his hands. TFTC.
I wasn't convinced that the bear was keep for lunchtime caching- that soon changed and off we went! We were not sure exactly where to park and after amusing a road crew we pulled up at the correct spot. A few minutes of searching and a peek at the hint and it was quite obvious. TFTC
Found on way home from the gym. Walked this way to the Top of the World swimming pool many years ago!
TFTC and the great views.
TB "Toadettes" visited.

Great one we thought it was near the road but we were wrong! Took us a while TFTC
It was a little wet today so I let the mobile one go looking. Still didn't find it.
Lisa remembers using this on her way to & from uni. We had no joy in finding the cache though. We searched both sides and didn't find it. 1 cane (?)
I decided to start the new year off right by starting to cleat out caches in the new neighbourhood.
Quickly found and logged, and Lottie and I had a quick jaunt up the new track.
Thank you for the cache!

First find on a warm afternoon after work. Nice cache container! Took/left nothing. TFTC
It was a nice sunny, if quite cold day, and we decided to go for a walk in the suburb of Dynnyrne and collect a geocache on the way. At first we went up the wrong street in attempting to locate the underpass of the Southern Outlet highway, but eventually found it and Sue worked out the cache location quite quickly. A schoolgirl muggle appeared just before we had time to return the container, but had it back soon after. A walk further up the hill brought us past various architecture style of houses; with the most unusual one being a replica of a castle. Beyond this was a walkway to Tolmans Hill and for somewhere high above the highway it was amazingly noisy from the traffic.
Nice to be able to find a cache on my lunchtime stroll, and especially one in a tucked-away place I hadn't visited and with such good views. How Hobart Town has changed since the early days; it's hard to imagine what it would have been like back then. It's even hard to remember what things were like before the Southern Outlet was built! Thanks, Stumbleduponit.
In the pre dawn light we pulled up top side and headed down. smelly belly 8 headed down into the hole while i did the caching duties. Boy points this one every time we travel over the top now. Was easier to get to then I thought and some great views driving around this end of town.
JABs.

I had guessed (correctly) what the container would be before leaving home and when I got to GZ I quickly figured out where it would be because it's just like one of my hides. Worth a five minute break from my work. Hundreds of muggles going past but they were more intent on their driving than me. TFTC.
Found after a search about the wrong apex with Malitas . Good hide and somewhere I normally wouldn't have gone. TNLN, thanks for the adventure
Loved the cache container! Found with geoson Rexamite and didn't know this underpass existed on a fantastic bluesky day. TNLNSL TFTC.
Found with Geodad Tiltonspire, great hide on pathway we have never been on before. TNLNSL TFTC
Never knew this underpass existed. The cache took me a little while as there where lots of other bits of rubbish around that could have been a cache but it did not take as long to find the cache as it did for me to find the way to the GZ. Took some looking on Google earth and a few days travelling pass to work out. Some times you can over complicated it.
We're pleased we looked at the map to see where this one was. The car GPSr was trying to take us somewhere we couldn't stop!! TNLN TFTC
Another part of Hobart that we had not visited before - the cache was located fairly quickly. Thanks Stumbleduponit
Had some time to kill between dropping youngest child at childcare and taking four year old to swimming lesson so we stopped for a quick bit of caching. GPS took us to the right spot but despite looking in the right place I didn't spot it. Eventually my four year old spotted it and was very pleased with himself. Felt a bit exposed with all the traffic going by on the outlet but I doubt any of them would even have noticed us. TFTC!
Had confusing GPS reading telling me it was towards the edge of the highway, phoned a friend who gave me a hint, then found it fairly easily.

What a clever cache. Found it after dark but clues were enough lead us straight to it. We also got the name reference when we checked with the light. TNLN, TFTC.
I never knew about this underpass. Cache easily found, took blue rubber bracelet left play money. thanks Stumbleduponit
I'm not one for tobacco but would have been nice to sit back here with a log cabin at one time. The southern outlet detracts from the idea a bit and it's very urban now. How different things would have once been.
Still, a lot of nice trees and gardens about and the view is still quite pretty.
Thanks for the cache.

I must admit if I was going to have a log cabin here it would have to be better insulated and a lot bigger.
When the chemical conundrum final WP ended up being a quick find, an extra cache or two in the last bit of daylight seemed just the thing. So came and grabbed this one. An interesting spot, didn't know any of it was here! Nicely hidden too. Good cache, thanks Stumbleduponit!
Not my choice of locations for a log cabin! An easy find, even though it was dark. TFTC
Enjoyed this cache, well hidden. Found with Tassie Trekkers on a day out caching. TFTC.
It was nice to be able to find this cache while we happened to be in the area. TFTC!
Found it without a problem. Couldn't work out the name of the cache but realised on the way home that it was staring us in the face. Warning: Don't lean up against the wall! It took me a good 10 mins to rescue my jumper afterwards!
Quick find with ColdFronts on a day of caching. Had to go for this one given the intriguing name. Needed the hint.
Netballer wants more driving hours so she can sit for her Provisional license. So off to the next cache we went. This one has tickled my interest with the name and previous logs mentioning an underpass. As we headed towards GZ I started to wonder the existance of an underpass. As we got closer it all opened out to be seen. A short search and then Netballer says 'there it is'. Quilter reached up and came away totally covered in little fuzzy bits. Signed log and Netballer replaced from the otherside. As were there a passing car tooted........ was that a fellow cacher? TFTC Cheers Quilter
I had no idea that there was an underpass here but my GPS showed me the way.
I now know why this cache is so named.
Thanks stumbleduponit

The folks around here are spoilt for views, I could see a horizon pool in the front yard of the house we walked past to enter the tunnel. What a great spot to spend a sunny day! TFTC
A cryptic find, but found it was. Was accompanied by 6 yo geo-niece who said "I didn't believe in pirate treasure, but now I do!". Signed book, took 2 x 10 cents, replaced with 1 x 20 cent (to keep the pirates happy).
This one was located with Geodaddy's fancy new phone. It sent us a bit off GZ at first, but eventually we ignored the distance it was indicating and found the log cabin!
TNLN - TFTC!

On a very wet a dreary day we had headed out to check on a school fair. Piy for the weather but not a bad little fair. Did this cache on the way back home. Mrs geo and princess geo decided to sit this one out and was left to jr geo and I to grab. Nice quick find but to make sure I keep my health, I am not planning to have a log cabin any time soon! Great spot Stumbles. TNLN
It took the Clan longer to find the GZ than it did to find the hide as none of the ducks had flow here before.
We agree a nice location for a log cabin and maybe to watch the yachts come in after Xmas.
Well done on another good cache. TNLN

if you did build a log cabin here I wouldn't want to live in it now! what a noisey spot with all those cars rushing by!
swapped some change, signed log and headed on my way. tftc

A relatively easy find thanks to great coordinates. I never knew this underpass existed. Thanks for the cache.
Geoniece loved going through the "cave" to get to GZ. Admired the cache name after I finally realised what it referred to!

The significance of the name was obvious once the cache was located - hadn't seen one of these for many years. The GPS bounced around quite a bit but a check of possible hiding spots in the general area soon resulted in the cache being in hand. TFTC
While in the company of Swampy, this cache was found. Just as well I know what a "log cabin" is so knew what to look for. Never knew the underpass was there. they always say if you learn something new each day your day isn't wasted.....

Parked in Richardson Ave and walked through the PdU.
Once I explained what an apex was, we were looking in the right area and Tim Tam came up with the goods.
TNLN, thanks for the cache.

Found this one just after OldSaint (i'd been following him around all day!). I didn't know this underpass was here either, even though I lived in the area for many years, and now drive over it twice a day!
I was thinking about jumping the fence and trying my luck with the traffic, but luckily I came to my senses, and thought like a cache(r). It was an easy find once I stopped thinking like a lemming. Thanks for the cache!

Found it. No need to go onto the highway and hop fences etc ( like u did). A good hide. Thanks. Matanica.
Stumbled onto the log cabin at 1305hrs as my 724th find, 2nd of 4 for the day. Had a muggle pass by whilst signing the log, but all okay. He was in a hurry!!! TFTC and cheers; OldSaint.
Another find tonight by my caching buddie Tasweb
We both travel past this spot every day but neither of us knew it was here.
Thanks for showing it to us Stumbleduponit

I never knew you could walk under the highway there!
Redtag likes the sound of her own voice. She was like a little kid shouting in the tunnel.

Mrs DnA! was just about to leave work when she got the phone call from Mr DnA! that a new cache had been published and it was just around the corner from where Mrs DnA! was working. Mrs DnA! didn't have a GPSr with her so she followed Mr DnA!'s instructions straight to the cache. TFTC
I saw the notification, but I had a meeting from 2 till 3.
By the time I got there at 3:25, DnA! had beaten me to it.
STF for me....
Thanks!

Well I thought I had a chance at ftf. But with DNA around nobody has a chance!!!! Obviously DNA is able to go and grab at any time. Therefore I will have to do something. I will need to build a DNA proof cache!!! Anyway this was number 600 cache found. Great little cache easily found. Tftc.
