Out for a morning bike ride. All quiet at game zone today with no yachts (or anybody else) which made for a quick find and sign. Thanks for the cache.

(# 8191) On a caching trip to the Nelson/Golden Bay area for a repeat trip for the four amigos. Day two of this trip took us from Takaka over the hill to Kaiteriteri, through Motueka and back to Nelson. Tripping with NZ_B, TwigNZ and YetiNZ. Another day full of hilarity with nobody being spared being the butt of the jokes. Signed the log with NMTY. Thanks Stretch0 for bringing me here.
Some time ago a group of us from Wellington decided that what we should do is come down to the Nelson region for a long weekend of Geocaching. So we did. We had such a good time that just a few months later we decided to do it again. The same team to the same location, with the same agenda. The only real goal for this four day break is exploring, having fun, and finding more of the unfound geocaches in the area.
Day two of this trip took us from the labyrinth rocks of Tākaka over the hill to Kaiteriteri, through Motueka and back to Nelson. We stopped at many caches along the way, and this was one of them.
Most of our finds here we signed the log with the collective name of N.M.T.Y to represent the four of us: NZ_B, Mr-Mcgoo, TwigNZ, and YetiNZ.
---
Thanks to Stretch0 for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

we stopped here to find the geocaches down the road. This cache had been full of water. It was a bit hard to write on. TFTC
After the last couple of logs i took a run out to check. Yes is not surprising log had been wet with the last few months of rain, but is still writable. Unable to open well i popped it off without any hassle. Looking over the cache and after 13 years in the field i decided to replace cache. So now new cache container and a fresh log. All good to go.
Nice easy find with nanzie on our trip around the place Great day for chaching tftc
It was a little bit soggy near GZ, but once I got past that, the find was easy. TFTC.
6th cache of 44 today. Off on a day trip around Tasman picking up some missing D T spots, the PWGeoTour 3 up at Marahau and as many others as I can find while the boys play golf. Thanks for the cache Stretch0
First of the day. We decided to target four caches in total on two of these loop roads on the way into Motueka. This was a quick find. The hardest part was retrieving the log, which was jammed deep down. Eventually sorted and we are on our way. TFTC stretch0.
Today’s big plan was to go to the Mapua Easter Fair.
We did that successfully, along with half the rest of the planet it seemed. RG1972 bought a couple of things but there was not much that interested me. Still, we had a good time.
Since the weather was great we then decided to head to Motueka. This is where the caching part started. We got a few on the way into town, had a great lunch at Toad Hall, then went on some short walks around town. Bumped into Kiwimykl for the second time today then eventually made our way home through the inland road. That was pretty much the day. Thanks all COs.

Plenty of ducks about ... I had to stop to let them cross. The cache was so well hidden by the grass that I nearly missed it. Thanks Stretch0.
The container lid is almost completely screwed and the whole inside was filled with water
Day 7 of my 2020 NZE (New Zealand Experience).
(My apologies for the delayed logging but I'm in catch-up mode)
Seeing as I can't be in America right now, I'm touring around the South Island instead. During my time here I am aiming to find as many of the TMGT caches as I can (preferably all 41) and also as many Virtuals, Earthcaches and Letterbox Hybrids as possible, plus any Trads or others that will fill a hole in my D/T grid, my Jasmer grid, or else the last 3 remaining Hidden Dates on that grid.
After my huge drive of yesterday, I had planned today to be a bit more leisurely. I had enjoyed spending some time in Golden Bay and Takaka, and was now making my way towards Nelson where I had intended to spend the night, stopping every so often to grab a cache to break up my journey.
This was just such a cache. I chose it simply for its proximity to the highway. It was a relatively quick and easy find at GZ, and with only light traffic going past I was able to sort out the usual field caching administration and replace everything as found before getting back in the campervan to drive to the next one.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Took a bit of searching as grass very long but we found it. All a bit wet but waterproof log easy to sign. Beautiful spot.

A quick find, but unfortunately the logbook is very wet. Tried to dry it a bit.
I only had a stamp and maybe the log is not easy to read, but I hope it is valid.

I was wondering why this pond was not the same level as the sea next door, boat racing explains it. Also a good spot to stop to retreive a drink from the back of the car for the sprogs. Cheers
A very late log. Was looking at the map for a possible bit of exercise this afternoon and noticed this cache was still a green box rather than yellow smilie. A check of the logs showed that caching partner Tregearp had indeed logged it and noted we were caching together.
Thanks Strech0 for the cache, and apologies for the 22 month late log!

SJT_NZ and I have been busy with work and study over the weeks so despite the rain needed to get out today and bag a few caches for the current souvie series. This was first for the day, a quick find and all nice and dry.
Q E F here and found as per hint. SAll good and replaced as found. One of a few from this C O today, thanks.
Last day of the month and only the 5th day I've been out for a cache find, or more, so time to get some in before I have my Geo-licence revoked! And there are some more souvenirs being thrown around willy. And Nilly. So I'm up for a few finds and yet another trip over the hill. Thanks say the fuel companies, but that's my hobby. Targetted the area of Motueka and the back roads in and around Moutere but my planned 50 caches in a day was thwarted by mrs capperz's intolerance of too many p n gs so it was called off in the late teen-numbers and crept over the line for 20 in the day.
First up here for an explore along the causeway, and side roads, that I've sped past too many times but which were deserving of more attention today. Some nice finds out this way and some good old winter scenery to help the cause.

As we've had a few days caching in a row now and as we were passing we just had to stop and grab this cache. No one around today except a few ducks so easy find. tftc
Looked around the only tree in sight that matched the logs & hint but after 5-10 minutes, I couldn't make the grab.
Taybeedragon and I are in the Nelson region collecting multis - I need one each day for a multi-cache streak challenge I am aiming for. Today is day 10, challenge requirements complete YAY!. And as we are still here, let's do some more!
Slight challange to get to GZ with getting the feet stuck in the ditch. Then after finding the cache I found the ditchless way out. Which, incidentally, is the route the dragon found for the way in! And then my GPS died. No worries, get some more batteries out. But we knew we were in the right place - the dragon found a geocacher's pen just a moment before she found the cache.

The Seagnoid needs a couple of multis this weekend. Its early Saturday morning and we are off for another adventure to Tasman, with The Seagnoid and Zara. Its another early start in the dark on Sunday morning collecting info for some multies. Then visiting The Seagnoids Dad for lunch, before starting for home, the long way round. Lots of loop roads along here.
So we venture on to one from the other end. Stop close to GZ on firm ground as there is lots of muddy stuff around. Back into gummies while the Seagnoid gets to GZ. I take the circuitous route missing the ditch. Finally snag and tag it then back on our way. Cheers

#2817. After attending a funeral in Blenheim yesterday, I decided to spend the night in Nelson and give myself a chance to make start on the very large numbers of caches in this region. By 4pm when I dropped off the rental car at the airport, I had managed to find 37 caches between Nelson and Motueka (plus one more cache in Wellington to fulfil the requirements for the "North and South Island in One Day Challenge" GC5RJFK). On the way to Motueka I saw this one was close to the main road so stopped for a park and grab. Glad this yacht wasn't floating in an area that required any wading. Soon spied the cache. The log was damp but able to be signed. Thanks for the cache.
There was nobody around here today - there has been every other time we have passed - so today was the day to make a quick easy find tftc
Easy find the cachet was wet and needs replacing there wasn't much room to write my name and date sorry I had no replacement with me
Enjoying a lunchtime cache run to Mot and back. My next stop was here and give me a quick find.
Thanks

We stopped for a break from the stress of left side driving . This was a good break. Watch out for a thorny little stem right where you may put your hand.

We flew over 20500 kilometers to get to New Zealand. [^] There in Queenstown we started our magnificent and unforgettable journey along the whole NZ. First we drove through south island and then the north island to Auckland. Altogether over 3000 kilometers by car and so many glorious and beautiful views, animals and plants we saw. [^] We fell in love with the country for life. Unfortunately we had only three weeks to spend for our holidays, but we really hope, we’ll be back.
Our time in Abel Tasman was unfortunately over and we had to leave onwards. Our ferry was leaving from Picton at noon, so we had still time for some caches in the morning. This took some time though, but was found after a while. Thanks for the cache and very many greetings from Finland.

We struggled to extract the logbook from the cache, but managed to do so in the end.
found this quick!! I was surprised when I realised where it was as it is my grandparents loop and it is right next to there house.
NZDi and I have been planning a long weekend in Golden Bay for a month or so and today these plans came into fruition. Of course a long weekend out of town would not be complete without the odd cache thrown in and so a few caches were planned along the way. The weather back in Blenheim had been crap all week and the forecast for the weekend was not that flash either, however as soon as we got across the Whangamoa's we could see this part of the country was bathed in sunshine.
Today is the final day of our long weekend and the caches we get are essentially going to be Park n Grabs on the road trip home. This has been my best geocaching weekend ever and Golden Bay has some awesome caches to find. We have only scratched the surface and are looking forward to coming back in the not to distant future.
The highlight of the trip would have to be the Rawhiti Caves Earthcache, but there are too many other awesome caches as well. Thanks to all the CO's (especially the prolific bumandworker) for all your caches.
A short diversion off a side road led us to this cache which turned out to be a QEF PnG on our road-trip back to Blenheim.
