Day #4 for me of the cache adventure with OzHockeyChick, GeoTurtle37 and Papi4506. It was to be a day of kms as i seek to fill in Map 14 for the UBD challenge and collect a few caches with some nice views along the way.
Found big Ben’s balls and the cache contained inside! Now up to the summit!
Thanks Coruze for the cache.

Road in excellent condition so far, good for an uphill cycle, hope it continues. Easy find.
Scenic steep smoky walk from bottom to the top of Mt Big Ben, 20km round circuit trip, 6km short way to top and 14km long walk on way back with geopooch and geofiance.
Finally got up this way, been meaning to for a long time.
Normally we would have picked a nice sunny day to head up here however glad we didn’t, the wet cold bush land is beautiful! We were also treated to some snow at the top. Although light and melted almost immediately once it landed on something the thrill of seeing snow in December was not to be missed.
So many beautiful wildflowers, wallaby’s with a gloomy foggy outlook was just perfect.
Nice quick find at GZ.

Finally convinced the kids to leave the house - the promise of a pie from a town starting with B in Yackandandah was enough to get them moving. After a quick walk along the creek we then headed home via a different route to pick up a few caches that I had had my eye on for a while.
Next one along the road and a quick drive off the main roads to park at the gate into the forest. One side of the rocks checked and then the other and the large cache was soon found. All good and log signed and returned.

Sorry for the late log. I was with OZREG when I did this one. We will be back to go to the summit as we took the wrong track last time
Belated log. Was with OZREG when we were heading up to the summit, but took the wrong track up, then I forgot to log this one. My apologies
The weather was promising to be good, so with Bettyboo3747, we hit the Kiewa Valley.
A nice collection of caches, and a lovely lunch in Mt Beauty.
This was our first for the morning, and very nice area it is too.
Thanks, Robmc.

#16559. I had spied the publication of a couple of new caches over at Mt Beauty so Robmc and I decided to have a day touring the beautiful countryside and collecting a few caches along the way. It was a wonderful day - 2 FTF's and the addition of a 2003 cache to my finds. Also the scenery was magical - we saw a few snow drifts on Bogong and Fainter and the dogwood trees were in their springtime glory everywhere we travelled. Just gorgeous. It was so good to see so much lush green grass everywhere too.
This was our first stop for the day - not sure how or why we have never stopped here before. A lovely start to the day. We decided not to proceed up the hill to the next one. I left one of my Phryne - Mirror pathtags here today.
Thanks Coruze

Heading up to Mt Big Ben today. Stopped in to log this cache. Thanks for showing off this beautiful spot.
Time on my hands again. Decided on a loop Wodonga/Kiewa Valley/Yack Lovely days drive with some newly discovered roads. Thanks kindly CO for cache placement.
A day of caching with wackyweedos in the Dederang area. A great drive up to this cache amongst all the cows sitting on the side of the rd watching us drive on by. A quick find at gz.. log signed and returned as found
Found on the way to Mount Big Ben looking for some snow. Found in Aug but has been in my draft folder. Just posting now
We stopped in here on the way up to find the new geocache at Mt Big Ben. A cold wet morning with the snow gently falling at the summit of Big Ben. Geokids made a quick find and we were on our way.
We had a laugh when we read the title of this cache , thinking it was referring to the local cacher and his rude appendages Not until we read the description did we realise where this one was really taking us. The track was an easy drive and we stopped at the gates to make the quick search.
Thanks Coruze for the cache and a good belly laugh.
Thanks Coruze for the cache and a good belly laugh.
Up and up we drove, past the “Private property beyond” sign until we saw them. Ben’s balls. I was concerned and alarmed. If that’s how big his balls are, how big must his hands be to catch them! Do giants live in these parts? Great views from up here. TFTC Coruze
After so much rain we decided on an afternoon drive. Big Ben being our destination I found all the info on the local geocaches and we headed off. Found this one in a great hiding spot very well camouflaged. The container and contents in great condition. TFTC
The lost wanderers set off in search of snow and thought there might be some at the top of Big Ben. After being greeted by some friendly cows, we headed to the GZ. Little Miss M loves finding caches and was out of the car in a flash. After watching the GPS spin around for a bit, we zoned in on the cache. Miss M made the find. Thanks for the cache Coruze.
Had my first geocache find today. Scenery was lovely, weather bitterly cold and wet, and the geocache was tricky but not difficult for a novice like me. I look forward to finding many more.
Find number 3 today. Thought we would see how far we got in the Outlander and it turns out the answer was all the way up to the cache. A great little spot and worth it for the cool rocks and great view. Have left a travel bug to start its trip. Hopefully it makes it to Spain.
Thanks Coruze, three of yours in a row today.
Thanks Coruze, three of yours in a row today.
Quick find after i struggled up the small hill due to working out yesterday and being very sore. Caused my friend to laugh at my waddle walk. Forgot my bag of TBs will return with them soon as this one would be a good home for one of them.
#1549 Making our way up Big Ben this arvo to hopefully see and play in some snow with the geohounds. En route we stopped for this cache, after a bit of a tickle around the balls the cache revealed itself TFTC Coruze.
[:(!] When you have nothing to do, what better way of filling in the day is to going caching, and this was one of them, parked the geoKa as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was located and in a matter of minutes it was in hand, this brings back memories of when the wife and I were bring up our children, we spent many a day on Big Ben and the surrounding tracks as we only lived a stones throw away.
I like it

Great easy find. we went up top for the snow but couldnt get coverageon the phone for the other two caches. we are going back up tommorow to find the others and play in the snow.
Found it on a Sunday drive with Wackyweedos and some muggle cousins looking for snow. What a great part if the world. Good sized cache in great condition. Nice and dry. TFTC!
Quick find on the way back down after shutting the gate. Tftc. We will be back as we only grabbed 2 of the 3 hides. Thanks for bringing us to this great location.
A lovely drive today with my daughter. I drive past the Mt Big Ben turn off every day and finally made time to check it out. My daughter found this one which made her day. She chose the potterroo as her treasure, we left a floral clip. TFTC

Last one coming down the hill. Plenty of wet moss covered balls of rocks to slip over on in the dark, thankfully didn't have to search too much.

One of many caches throughout of Easter Long Weekend trip up the Kiewa Valley and the Victorian High Country.
All Were Great Caches, Thanks to all for giving us a reason to travel and taking us to some unique places up in the amazing Victorian high country.
I would recomend to anyone and everyone to travel and let the caches guide you thoughout the mountains.
At time of Caching I Was Know As "adrian.robinson" / "ar", Due To Facebook Automatic Naming and now known as "VicMap", Much shorter and easier to write.
Found with S.Piddy, roverman88, ashleigh.green, Jesstu666 and team purple pen.

With three caches beckoning me to detour up the hill this afternoon, how could I resist
And this is why I like geocahing
With so much private property and dead end roads surrounding the state forest, it is a tricky business to find the way into these places.
I soon found me way to the gate that marks the entry point to the forest.
And right next to the gate.... yep!! Balls
Big 'uns too [:o]
There was a cache hidden somewhere around them so I had to have a scratch
A scratch around, that is to find the cache
Not too difficult, and with the logbook signed I shut the gate behind me and headed off up the hill

Haven't been up here for a long time, so thought it was time to come back and visit. Great Balls. TFTC
Great location. Beautiful this time of year with the rain we have had. An easy find on this beautiful day.
Out exploring with the new geocaching vehicle on a cold and wet afternoon. We love the granite outcrops all through this area and at this time of year most of them are covered in lush moss. NineMileMan found the cache quickly enough, which is dry and in good condition. We didn't continue up Mt Big Ben to collect the other two caches due to the lateness of the afternoon, so will return another day for further exploration. Thanks for placing a cache here Coruze, we love the ones you place that are a bit off the beaten track.
Took TB, left yoyo.

Stayed the night in Yackandandah and thought we would finally check out these three caches on Big Ben. The day dawned with plenty of sunshine and it was a balmy 11° when we set out at 8.45am. SL at 9am #1083 cache for us. Took: drink coaster Left: potoroo, PT and MoxieCrime Fighter TB. Read the sign saying that the road was opened again on 17th March and so it was through the gate and onto Big Ben's Belly. TFTC Coruze and encouraging us to visit a previously unknown area in our back yard (almost)
#566 found on a day of 22 finds with multiple types found mainly traditional caches and some extras. This was the final day of the Easter weekend which yeilded me 5 days of caching and found 83 for my efforts along with many involved in the H&H Mega event challenge. This was the culmination of what was the best weekend of caching to date on this my 162 day of continual caching.
#11 of 22 for the day and an easy find just before going on to the next this was a very interesting location amongst the natural landscape that had formed for millions of years you find this wonderful location to place another in you long list of cache will I ever find them all, well lets see how we go for time and eventually given enough and the correct vehicle will eventually grab them all. Now with the log signed and the cache returned to its location it is on to the next.
Thanks for the great location Coruze.

Thanks for making us head up this hill, we wouldn't have otherwise had such an adventure. Quick find was made en route to the summit. TFTC.
A really nice drive ended here as we found the last of the Big Ben Geocaches.
A nice easy find and we had a lovely day driving the mountain.
Thanks Coruze for placing them.
