Great day of caching during the Oz geomuster. Arrived early this morning and met a lot of friends first before going out on a hunt. Lots of caches around Morriset first and a few towards Bonnells bay and Mannering Park, but nothing far away. Back in time for the first event this weekend at the country club.

We pondered our entry to this one & decided on a 1.3km walk to GZ. Parked near Morisset Hospital & took the Woods Point Trail in. Cache was found easily as it was exposed & spotted before we got to it. Co-ords were good. SL TNLN TFTC jonignite

Found on a bike ride today. Rode in from a nearby cache along a well formed track. Got to 30 meters away from gz on bike near a dumped car. I then had a easy walk down to the cache. Made a quick find really enjoyed the view, pity the other nearby caches have been removed had a look for one but all I could find there was a toy car TFTC

Great place for a cache hide! Was in the area today and decided to sneak off to do the few caches along the trail. Despite being in the area heaps of times, I've never actually been down the trail so thanks for bringing me here. Was a really nice little walk along the water's edge and through the bush. Would be a good quiet spot to throw a line in as well (depending if there are many fish here.. I wouldn't know).
Took me a little while to find the GZ as the GPS on my phone has decided it enjoys tricking me, so looked at a number of other trees (in relation to the hint) further along the crest before I found the one with the hide. Safe to say I was pretty happy to have found it! The log is still nice and dry and cache re-hidden.
Thanks again!

After finding Lakeside Tranquillity we headed out even further to this cache. We (mostly me) got spooked by noises in the bush (wallabies) and hoped they did not jump us (pun intended)! The rock platforms nearby were nice (except the garbage: broken bottles) and the power station across the water was lit up delightfully. We found a track up from very close to the point and spotted the cache very soon after that. We continued along the top of the crest which seemed to be mostly fields and came out at the Y intersection where the main track splits ( we must have been equally spaced between them on the way back).
Thanks for the nice walk and views (even at night)!

25-Sep-14
Found with TOMBI. Whilst we were out here finding Lakeside Tranquility stopped by for this. Even more kangaroos standing around in an old picnic area on the way to GZ. Then a walk back to the car.

By this stage, very hungry kids but determined to find it. We all looked around for about 30 minutes but with no luck. The GPS reading was not settling very well. Two of us adults tried looking up the hill and found a very fast way down, falling and skidding on our butts with a few scratches and laughs at our expense. Wanted to drop off a trackable, but it just wasn't meant to be. Back next time for a picnic and a swim. Thanks jonignite.

Nice walk to gz, wondering if the pic a nic spot still gets used

1730 GAFF3 Was heading on down to Stanwell Tops to get a couple of higher rated caches, but had missed out on this one when I was getting the ones at Morisset hospital. Got the 'nearby' "Say What!", but missed out on Balcolyn Bluff, so thought I'd walk on out. The GPSr wanted me to drive on through the lake, but I gave up on that one! Smile
Walked past a tent, seemed to be noone at home. Hopefully not a student.
Bit of a poke around, and found the goods.
Left a plastic bag for the log book, a pen and pencil, and a 'little person' figurine.
Took maze.
Through: 3Bros, B2B, Baa, Neigh and Oink coins, Monteith Dhu TB and trackable shirt - which had already been seen by John

Today so beauitful sunny day, go outing for geocaching again... Nice smooth walk on the track to GZ and return to my car in 1.5km(grrr) enjoyed walk long ... Hide well thanks Smile

11-Jul-12
A nice fine day to round up a few loose caches so we headed for the west side of the lake. Number three today and after a nice walk along the lakeside it was an easy find. Another nice spot but, like many around the lake, is a little bit too secluded which enables the vandals and antisocial individuals to do their dirty work so it then gets closed off to everybody. Thanks Jonignite.

We tried to do the three hides down here but only managed "Lean on me" a couple of days ago before the heavens opened up. Back today to pick up these hides with a pleasant bike ride down. We had this one about 15m off but easy enough.

After doing some maintenance on the geo-yacht I sailed down to Morisset for the night and anchored 250mtrs from the cache. After rowing to shore this was the first of the 3 caches in this bushland area I found this morning. Left TB, thanks.

Went to find this cache today and stumbled across a cache within 5 to 10m of GZ and opened it to find an empty log book. Im not sure if the log has been replace or I stumbled across a cache which has not been published yet, but that is unlikely. TFTC.

The twenty-eighth of many on a day out caching with spikeymikey and after a lengthy look we could not find. Considering other previous cachers have expressed the ease to find we would request a cache check please.

A day of caching with TheHeadChef.
We searched high and low for no result. For some unknown reason, GPS wouldn't respond well either.
Very disappointing after so many other finders have said how easy it is.
Another day.

Great bike ride to the GZ, great day, great find. I agree a beautiful spot. Was going to drop a cache in this area myself but you beat me to it - by a long way I see. Would have been a top spot for comaping years ago. shame it no longer is.

Great day to go for a walk, so MV and I had a look to see what was nearby, and this one fit perfectly. Wasn't sure of the best access point, but we found a good place to park and off down the trail. Enjoyed the walk to GZ, and once there, the cache was soon located. Lovely little view across the water.

Lovely spot .. not been here before though I've been close by many times over many years. Took the hint to park in Charles Ave then walked by the lake to the cache and returned through those fabulous trees. Thanks for the incentive Smile

Reperio at 1130. Great day to go for a walk, so Darwinian and I had a look to see what was nearby, and this one fit perfectly. Wasn't sure of the best access point, but we found a good place to park and off down the trail. Enjoyed the walk to GZ, and once there, the cache was soon located. Lovely little view across the water.

It was beautiful weather today so we headed out for some caching. Our car navigator took us to the hospital site first - which turned out to be a bonus as we drove up to a huge heard of kangaroos [at least 100] all in a small area of grass - they were amazing! Once we ralise that we were on the wrong side of the water to the cache, we headed over to Charles Avenue where we parked and walked in towards the cache. It was a lovely 20 minute walk and beautiful scenery. Once close to GZ we had a quick search and soon found the cache. We dropped off the Motorini TB and signed the log. TFTC

Our 4833rd overall find.

It's amazing how many nice points there are around the lake, it is a bit of a shame that this area is a bit like the land that time forgot. There was obviously some infrastructure put in here and it is just falling apart. It looks like the only vehicles in here these days are the trail bikes. The cache was found after a brief search and then we continued our loop around the point and then back to the car. A nice 35 minute 3km loop from the car at Chifley Rd to the cache and back again.

Thanks to jonignite for the cache. *Overall Experience: 3* http://wiki.geocaching.com.au/wiki/Rating

Decided to go the scenic way to this one via mountain bike from 33 7.42758, 151 30.88512, good track and nice fairly flat ride for those interested.
Shame this place has gone to ruin since NPWS made it a conservation area, used to be a great picnic spot by the lake for all to enjoy, sadly now another NPWS weed infested wasteland. It is however a great cache location without a muggle to be seen. TFTC.

A nice kayak trip to get here, followed by a short walk and there it was. Left a baby.

22-Jan-11
This was a really nice walk, although we saw no expected wildlife, but did hear the unusual call of a pheasant coucal. I didn't know they were this far south. It was really hot and the breeze and shade down by the water over the last stretch was very welcome. I fooled around a bit with the GPS at the end, making it much harder than it needed to be, but soon found GZ by coming in from the wrong direction. TNLN, thanks for getting us out here to a really great hide.
