I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
We went out for a maintenance walk this evening after receiving a query about its location and it looks like it has gone missing again. We will get a replacement sorted this week and reinstate. [^]
Under the blazing sun we spent ages fossicking amongst the grasses but couldn't find a cache. Several flat rocks but no small plants
After completing the adventure lab we explored the park further. Could really spend a lot more time here. Good to see Henry and one of his mates also. Many thanks for the cache. #7350
With the Event on in Invercargill on Sunday why not make a weekend of it...3 days of caching down South woop woop first stop of the day and a nice quick find TFTC
Found it! No pencil to sign it but we got a photo. I'm sure we'll be back
Quick find, TFTC. Was fairly visible from path so I hid it a bit more with a large rock
Cache 836 it’s a lovely day today to reach Basecamp in the current geochallenge, August being the first month of this 6-7 month challenge it was also a needed day on one of my project GC calanders so many birds one stone, lovely walk around the garden, and very quiet in the park today so the perfect day to hunt around Henry’s Backside. Visiting Henry was one of my favourite things to do while the museum was open, but atleast we can still look at him via this back way. cache is in excellent shape T4TC ooops wrong date written on log joys of working nights you never know what day it is found 5/8 not 4/8
Log by MH. Doing the caching honour.
We followed the GPS towards the old rose garden then onto board walk and found it next to the flat stone.
Tftc my second one.

JC. On the boardwalk by flat stone. I traded stuff.
RV. Walked on boardwalk overshot spot then came back and found it.
Quick find Tftc.

Last day in the deep south before we head back to Dunedin and then home to the Waikato. It's been a great holiday down here with 7 muggle friends, and this morning my hubbie and I got up early and walked nearly 10,000 steps around Queen's Park to claim many caches and the Adventure Lab Cache. What a blast it was in the dark - a great adventure, and we enjoyed this spot, TFTC
We walked around and around and then it wanted us to walk through cutty grass bushes so we gave up
Spending a few days in Invercargill visiting my son whose started a course here. While he’s out during the day I have been using his bike to get around and collect some caches. Today was a longer ride to collect The Big I series but decided to return via Queen’s Park to collect a few more cache in this great place. Found the cache but sadly didn’t get to see Henry’s backside. He seemed rather shy today. Also no trackable that I could see. Thanks for the smiley.
I arrived in Invercargill today to have a holiday exploring some of Southland and Stewart Island. I was pleased I didn't have to leave the path today in the rain. I spied one tuatara in the enclosure, tftc!
Cache has been reviewed and replaced to a better location, hopefully it survives for a while here. [^]

I write "WRITE NOTE" because it is a time when we can't go on a long adventure, so I travel in the memories of my visits to New Zeusemad. Of this adventure in New Zealand, I only stretch Travel Bug. Writing "FOUND IT" is probably not right anymore, it wasn't today, but I was here before. And unfortunately I won't get here again.
I am sending a beautiful greeting from the Czech Republic.

Looks like this cache has gone walking again, we will look to replace in the near future.
Well i tried the wrong end to start with and then upon seeing i was at the wrong end had to wait for the muggle to depart. a quick find when they left and another smiley chalked up. Thanks for the Cache
Quick find when we tried the right end - had to wait for a muggle to move on - then cache grabbed - log signed and cache returned -thanks for the cache
Was nice to come and see Henry and pick up this cache before heading for the ferry to Stewart Island. TFTC
We unfortunately didn’t take the time to look around the location here. The cache was easily visible, so has been replaced a bit more securely. Found with Wilbywarrior and Debsnz.
Teamed up with Spoonz2 and Debsnz. Down from Dunedin for the weekend. Cache was a little exposed so an easy find here. Tftc
Tftc! So sad about the rat problem at tuatara sanctuary. Glad there are more traps now. Anyway tftc
On behalf of my 10 yr old daughter and my 71 yr old mother, thank-you for the hint .
And TFTC!
And TFTC!
We were due fly home soon and everything was getting closed as we headed to Level 4 alert, so we had no worries that an entire museum of people would be watching us checking out Henry's backside. Also it was dusk and we were preparing to do a nighcache, so no one around at all. Tftc
Making my way around the building, I waited for the gardeners to move on, as they had been doing some work over by the rose garden.
When they disappeared around the corner, I reached down to retrieve the cache.
A fun find, thanks for the hide Sonya Deane and Alex
Later just before dusk I returned to the park for the nightcache, I was told to look at this side of the building, as that is where I might see the Tuatara!
What? I thought the building was closed for earthquake risk, and that the tuatara had been moved. How wrong was I
Thanks fellow Westies for telling me about this, I got to see one of the Tuatara, an unexpected bonus of being in the park tonight as we are about to follow some fire tacks to a cache.
Then before I left town, I went back two days later, this time in the morning, but nothing to see, maybe it was too early and they were still in there PJ's

I'm finally home and in lockdown so am able to catch up with my logging from our recent visit to Stewart Island. We had managed to get off the island but couldn't get a flight back to Ak for 2 days so we decided to collect some caches in the area we were staying. We were on our way to meet a fellow westie RustyNZ to do the night cache in the park and collected this one on the way. We were lucky enough to see a tuatara, not sure if it was Henry though
As my hostel is close to that park, I did a little walk around in the late afternoon. Nice park and nice caches here. TFTC
A weeks work in Invercargill and a full day in the office so needed some evening fresh air and exercise. Today headed to Queens Park which I had visited many times as a child having grown up in Winton. Some traditional , a virtual, a puzzle and an earth cache. And a mix of dodgy golfball letters and a muggled out multi. I remember seeing Henry when I was at school. Also brought my kids to see him about 8 years ago when it was all still open. Quick find of the cache then wandered over to see if I could spot a Tuatara. Good old Henry was very obliging an I got to see his front side also. Thanks for the cache.
Nestled between amazing rose gardens and near the great white pyramid. Relaxing stroll in the park. Thanks!
