It's getting on in the day and we have had some tough caches today so time for a few easy ones to fill in the rest of the day. A quick find and sign here, picked up the spider that was on the cache container and it is now loose in the car somewhere. tftc
Everytime I drive from Nelson to Christchurch this shows up as the closest cache as I drive along the state highway and everytime I say I must do that one. Thanks for placing Annie & PB

We decided to go for a drive after being house bound for a few days due to the bad weather. An easy find down a road we hadnt noticed before. TFTC
Not much happening up there currently but I can see why it might be named like it is. Cheers
In Hanmer for a week of work and this was my day off so took to the Jacks/Jollies loop. Jollies pass is just as I remember it 20 or so years ago, lumpy, bumpy and very rutted. Such fun coming down. Did the wee detour off to this one afterwards. Nice easy find. Looks like fun across the road. I am sure I would pucker most of the way round.
On my way down to Hanmer for an overnight before walking the St James Walkway, so what's a short road trip without some caching on the way?
All checked in at my accommodation for the evening and dinner eaten, there was still enough day light left to squeak in a few more caches.
A couple of caches just over there....Yep, I can do those in time...
Needless to say, not much passing traffic but even though I was still pleased to make a quick find.
Thanks Annie and PB

Morning hot pools in the rain, now a windy afternoon. Driving detour to the end of the road gave us an appreciation of the expansion of Hanmer - yuk, lifestyle blocks galore. And oh, it's a dirt bike park? All good here.
The plan was to grab the further away cache then this one.
as we were approaching a van belonging to the activity cam out the drive, closed the gate and parked just short of the cache.
it would have looked a bit dodgey waiting behind him so we just kept going.
Cheers and thanks,
S.t.

Early start to the day with a walk through the forest doing the multi ...and a few caches then up conical hill.
Then over to Pete's pass it was time for a few p & g's , feels like I have been walking all day..
Nice quick find wasnt until I got out of the truck when I realized why it has the name..very fitting tftc

Woohoo great to be able to cache again, in level 2! Decided to drive up here and see if we could find a couple! TFTC
I did not really have a road on the map to get here, but there was one! As soon as I returned the cache, police arrived, as they have just recovered a considerable stash of a different type nearby, so they were really interested in what I was up to there!!! They were happy with my explanation after I showed them the cache, but now I am on their books... TFTC!!
We were here after being a support vehicle for the St James multi sport event. Happy to look for some cache on the way home. Cache all good and dry. Thanks for bringing us here and the cache Annie & PB.
A nice wee bike ride in the morning before watching Canterbury take on the Tasman Makos in a preseason game. Cache all good and dry. Thks
Pleasant bike ride from my friends who live out this way. A few slaters in residence!
SoBad wanted to watch the cricket - rightly for a cricket fan. Mrs didn't - rightly for a non fan. She had found 2 caches on a walk from the motel so looked for another option. Pucker Park and I wonder had her wondering every time we drove from Nelson to Christchurch so they seemed good caches to go for. As for Pucker park - well she was looking for lemon trees but didn't see any.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I was on my bike today. I had left the vehicle at Novus getting my crack sorted and had the morning hooning around the city.
I guess that's what you do when you hoon over some of the terrain up at the park.
Thanks for the cache Annie & PB.

At GZ there were someone riding around the motor cross track. I have never understood the enjoyment of riding around and around the same place over and over again. Now Enduro. ..
That's a different matter. Cheers for the hide.

Day #2 of our weekend away in Hanmer, and after a lovely day yesterday, the weather had deteriorated. It was quite chilly and drizzled off and on, and by mid morning, we had enough and headed back to Chch.
As we drove west, the drizzle got worse. I hopped out of the car to get the cache, thinking that just one of us needs to get wet, but the cache took a while to show itself, and SW had to get out of the car to assist. It was in the expected place, but had been assimilated by the vegetation in the year since it was last found. It took some prodding with the walking pole to turn it up. TFTC.

#14408. Interesting to see this race course out in the middle of nowhere. TFTC.
Found with muggle mate Jimmy, while working in the area. May have convinced Jimmy to take up the hobby! TFTC
I had to laugh when I arrived and saw the park as I had assumed it was one of those ones where the teenagers come to pucker up and more. TFTC #8264
Drove out to this one. Interesting road. Didn't realise there was a more distant cache as well. Will return for that another trip. Thanks
Found with quinella . U realise just how dry it is when u are somewhere like this . Tftc
These two cachers out the back of beyond keep popping up on the RADAR when I drive along the Lewis Pass highway. Time to come and put smilies on their faces.

In Hanmer for the weekend to attend a 70th Bday celebration. This afternoon our eldest geodaughter was in need of nap and thus Daz headed off to claim some park and grabs. This was the first find in a beautiful spot. The cache is in good condition, TFTC.
We had guessed the activity from a distance, confirmed at the cache. We assume there was once a sign here? Take your word for it about the name !
Cache in great condition. Thanks.
Cache in great condition. Thanks.
After arriving in Hanmer for a couple of nights - we went for a drive and this cache popped up on the gps so we stopped the car and soon had a cache in hand - signed the log - thanks for the cache
Been on a bit of a break from work and travelled south to pick up some gear and decided on a break in Hanmer before returning home . Took a wee drive and spotted this cache show up so it was in for a nice quick grab TFTC
Thanks again
Cache is in good condition. Not sure what that building on the hill is. Cheers

Went for a bit of drive out to find this one and the next just on dusk, saw some sheep but not much else. TFTC,
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
Spent the day in Hanmer Springs, doing a few short walks and picking up a few caches. At this stage it was too wet to do much else, so decided to drive out to these 2 caches, which were both quick drive-by finds. TFTC!

At Hanmer for a couple of weeks took a break from a busy maintenance schedule at our Holiday home and went off to search out a few geocaches I have yet to find. Had the GZ to myself, no one to notice what 1eyednbf (1 eyed and proud of it) was up to, quick easy find, hmmm Pucker Park - not my idea if fun, you certainly would need to ‘pucker up’ for that adventure, nice one, first time I have been so far down this road.
Was a quick find in the rain. However while replacing cache, farm come out from is drive. He seen me run back to truck and then pulled up along side us. Asked if we were ok. Explained to him geocaching. Seemed fine with cache on his fence line but will see.
The cachebox is broken top and bottom, and full of water. The logbook was damp, but usable. Needs work.
Pucker Park looks like a good spot for quad petrol-heads - well out of town. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(2205)
In Hanmer for the day and bowled a couple of caches whilst there. Nice easy find thanks!
Ah well, there goes my insurance cover by cxoming down to the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Nice quick find once I got past all the road works taking place - looks like they're going to seal more of the road. Cheers Gav
Well we wonder why it is called Pucker Park too. Certainly looks like an interesting spot. Thanks for the cache. Not sure what the council is trying to achieve with the two kilometers of roadworks we went past.
Easy find when the correct road is driven, a few dead sheep on the way, not a nice look Will have to come back when the park is in use. TFTC
4388. The tenth cache find on the second day of our six day geocaching tour around Hanmer and Kaikoura in our campervan. Found immediately after a very short walk from where the van was parked. Thanks for bringing us down this road. Thanks, Rodney and Iris.
A slow ride out into a NW headwind but a quick find & retrurn trip!I intended carrying on west for the other A&PB cache but found it was not loaded into my GPS - me thinks 'tis time to get smart (smart phone that is). TFTC
Up early while the boys were sleeping off seeing the new year in. First find for 2012 at 07:05. A lovely morning for a drive down a road I'd never been on before. TFTC.
Interesting... Well pretty random I guess but a good incentive along the way to I Wonder. TFTC, Biggles.
Without a map, it was blind faith that I was driving along a public road and eventually I got to the cache. There was no problem finding it.
A quick find on a night time drive around Hanmer. No Puckering seen tonight. Thanks
Was a road I wouldn't have come down if it wasnt for caching. Was good seeing a bit of the farms out here. Thanks
We had the Little Explorers in the back so no puckering to be had today. Just a quick find instead, thanks.
A strange name indeed, but a quick easy find in the four degrees temperature at sunset. TFTC
Always enjoy a cache that takes you places you would not normally visit. Many looked to be enjoying the park next door.
My final cache for the day, on my way to spend the night with friends - love to know why the park haw such a bizarre name - guess it's called after someone??? TFTC.
Got these two the wrong way 'round! Meant to leave the other one 'till last. Never mind - 1st cache of the financial year. and now I know what's here! TFTC

This cache was a rarity for me. "Whoopee FTF". Once I saw the unsigned logbook I knew I was possibly on a run here. Surely I'd be FTF at the other new cache further down the road too? This cache made my day.
